Yep, you just helped me reconfirm what I've been thinking about. I'm going to hold on to my 103 HO for a bit longer. Those M8 models are nice, but I personally can't justify paying these crazy prices and then have to start all over again with buying aftermarket parts.
@@bullast2046 Pretty sure the HO actually says it on the engine. Not positive, but if you had the HO I’m pretty sure you would know it just from looking at the engine. I also don’t think they did the HO until 2016? 🤷🏻♂️

It is if UA-cam knew I have been thinking about this and bam this content appeared. I ride a metric but rented a 108 Deluxe for a day and plan to rent a touring HD later this summer. It would be fiscally irresponsible to purchase newer 108 HD with 4 kids in College but I am turning 50 and the metric 2 up with the wife won't cut it much longer. Then when I travel I guess I could always rent the 108 if needed. I've watch your content before but this time I will subscribe. Ride Safe.
Yes, I totally agree with the rubber mounted 103 for the sound and feel . I have a 103 in my 2013 Dynas switchback. Enjoy your UA-cam station. Keep up the good work. Lots of good knowledge
I nearly bought a RK M8. Ended up with a Rushmore 103 RK. For a measley grand or two more you can buy the new 107 or 114 and a year younger. Still went with the twin cam.
I would absolutely prefer a twin cam 103 over a Milwaukee 8 any day. I like the sound of the twin cams, and the rubber mounting systems. Thank you for your videos.
I’ve a 2015 Road King with a 103HO and Stage II kit. Probably similar now in terms of torque and horsepower to a stock or Stage ! Milwaukee 8. No more upgrades needed for me! Plenty of power and fun to ride. I like the warranty with a new Milwaukee 8 but I like the price of my 2015. Paid for!
I like all these engines and I have had great luck with them. My 2015 Fat Boy really ran with the 103. My 2018 Road King with the 107 M8 and torque cam was a beast. But the King of them all is the M8 117. A rocket.
Although the M8’s have so much power potential, in my view, the twin cam 103 is pound for pound the most reliable HD out there. I’m talking the Floyd Mayweather motor of HD. I think for guys and gals looking to get into the Harley game, it’s ideal and cost effective. You can pick one up for a reasonable price and make it look nice. You don’t need to do anything to it except a Stage 2 set up. If you want to go further, go for it, but it’s not necessary. Getting an M8 seems more about keeping up with the Jones’s. Who cares! I say ride and be free!
Always figured the last Twin Cam 103 would be pretty much bulletproof (for a HD) .. That's why I've got one (2016 SG). You'd have to drag me kicking & screaming to purchase a stock M8 at the moment- Too many issues.
I have a '15 Limited with the liquid cooled heads. My first brand new bike. Harley put on a stage 2 intake, Vance and Hines power duals with Rinehart 4" slip-ons and Harleys Screaming Eagle super tuner pro (the orange one) with a warranty. I heard my bike would be one of the last bikes they could do because of the EPA laws. I talked to the tech about upgrading the cams. His response was, "why". He then told me what a great bike I already had and said if it were his he'd leave it exactly like I had it. So that's what I did. I'm gonna keep this 103 for years to come.
I can’t agree more. I’m on a 12 SG. Woods 222, S&S cam plate + oil pump, 2-1 D&D, PV tuner. Runs better than most Milwaukee 8s I run with. I’ve ridden several 114s. The feel of the ride point you made is spot on and why i won’t switch up.
Just did 570-2 cyclorama cams 9n my 2012 103 streetglide. Good headpipe and vance and hines monster rounds. Had shaffers hd do the work in owigsburg pa. Laid down 98.6 h.p and 116 and change ftlbs tourque. Couldn't be happier. K and n air cleaner. Took it for a spin and it is smooth and fast. Screaming eagle cam plate and oil pump, fueling lifters. Heads and jugs are stock with 56 k one the odometer.
i really wanted to keep my 2014 103 twin cam ultra classic, that bike with just a stage 1 was simply amazing n never gave me any problems either, I wanted a road glide for a while so bought a new one, I just wished I kept my 103 twin cam, I loved that sound and reliablility, something relaxing and soothing taking a spin for a while on that twin cam. I should have kept it but was offered book price.
It's All About The Ride.Amen To That.I and probably a million other fellow Bikers couldn't Agree with You More. It's Not how fast you go,it's enjoyed the journey and getting you and your Bike there in one piece. The biggest money will always get you the big numbers(hp + torque)but you only need that on the Racetrack.I say Ride safe and Enjoy the Ride it's dangerous enough as it is out there.
I enjoyed my 2010 96” Ultra Classic owned from new. A bit gutless at highway overtaking but, most of my miles is on country roads and lanes. Come November 2022 I was knocked of it and it is now toasted. I prefer good mileage per gallon than performance off the mark. So now looking at the last of the 103” Limited or the first of the 107” M8. High torque to me means more tyre wear and those treads ain’t cheap. So watching many of these comparison videos.
I love my 103 HO in my 15 Limited!!! I've done exhaust, air, tuner, cams, adj. P.R.,Hydro Lifters,Police clutch, and dropped a tooth on drive sprocket from 41 to 40. Also still have my original HD oil pump in bike. When checked run-out was only .0001. Which is almost unheard of with the 103 Cranks. Ride safe!!!
I rode both. I bought a used Limited and I do not regret it. I also compared my 17 Dyna with the 103 to a friends 107 Deluxe. Honestly I felt no perceivable difference. If anything the 103 felt more responsive to throttle, and sounded more like a Harley. The 107, and the larger versions, seem to need a lot of upgrades before they start sounding like a Harley. Yes, the Twin Cam sounded different than the Evo motors I was use to, but it still had that Harley sound I always admired. The M8 bikes sound like a Japanese bike to me. I could not care less about the power numbers really. If it doesn't have the sound, then it really does nothing for me. Power is just icing on the cake. All the power and no sound and I wouldn't be happy. Plus they don't vibrate enough... 😅
I went from a Twin Cam to a M8, and back to a Twin Cam. I love my 103 HO TC with Tman cams, and Bassani 2 into 1 exhaust. We squeezed 100 HP with 112 ft lbs of torque (not bad for a cam swap). I agree with you in that the TC has more soul than the M8 (only an opinion).
Couldn't agree more man. I went from a 2012 twin cam street glide to a 2021 fat bob thinking i would love it. Not only do i miss the touring frame and all of the creature comforts that come with it but i also miss the sound and feel of that twin cam motor. Definitely looking to build a performance bagger in the near future and i think ill be doing it to a twin cam 103 road glide
Thank you it’s awesome you brought up the 103 which I wouldn’t change for Milwaukee !!! I personally think twin cam all the way it sounds like a Harley is made to sound Please bring out more videos for the 103 …. Old is better let’s keep it real 👍👍👍👍 thank you for this video
I went to the stealer a couple of weeks ago looking to trade in my 2016 FLHTK. Long story short, I’ve since then ordered front and rear Ohlins shocks and next I’ll be working on a new aftermarket exhaust, air cleaner and cam. I’m keeping what I have (no payments) and after watching your videos I think I know which way I’m going to go. A 110ci. Thanks for your videos and the passion you show us for our Harley’s.
Thank you for supporting the channel! That's the way I like to do it myself too! There's so much you can do with a Harley and keeping the one that's paid for especially after you do all your upgrades that's going to be something no new bike can touch!
A few years ago I had a chance to get a 2016 road glide for a deal. I passed up on it because I wanted a M8. After reading about the oil pump issues and stuff the M8 was having I was kicking myself for passing on that 2016 road glide.
I have a 2016 Fatboy with a 103. I'm pretty happy with it. The 114 is nice but it definitely does not have the feel of the 103. Note: I do have a stage one as well. I've had zero problems with my bike...
09 Dyna 96" with woods TW 222 and power vision w/ wide band 02 sensors. Runs flawless and has tons of torque at the crack of the throttle. For me forever twin cam !!! As always great vids😎
That's what I have planned for my 2010 street bob. What pipes and air cleaner are you running? And did you have it professionally tuned, or is it something you set up yourself?
@@tetlow2 Bassani Road rage 2 into 1 stainless steel. The power vision has wide band 02 sensors so it keeps the afr at around 13.5 and is in closed loop. Superior throttle response. Money well spent
Thank you! TW 222 is just one the best cams out there for a twin cam in my opinion. Now if you've got a M8 they do have that grind for the M8, but there are some better M8 cams from Wood.
I had a 2012 Road Glide with the 103 and now I have a 2022 Road Glide with the M8. They are night and day and I’m waiting on parts so that I can get my stage two upgrade. The M8 has much smoother power delivery.
The M8 is a really crisp responding machine, Harley makes a step forward and many hate it lol. Change is hard but Harley is moving forward. That stage 2 will make your M8 come to life!
I have all 3 a 2010 103 police. Love it not the most powerful but good enough. A 17 110 that bike got some torque, for as light as it is. And then a 17 M8 stock. And you are right no “shake” doesn’t feel like a Harley. 👍
I installed 57H cams and 107" cylinders and Pistons on my Twin Cam. Compression is 10.25:1. these parts were far cheaper and easier than buying a new $25,000 motorcycle and I am easliy passing New Milwaukee 8 114" all the time. I did all the work myself and so the total cost of the 107" with cams was about $1,200 including machine work, pistons, rings, tuning, bearings, gaskets, seals and oils. I'm sitting at about 110 HP and 123 torque. As far as I can tell the only advantage the M8 has is the heads are amazing right from the factory. The 4 valve heads move a ton of air.
I have a 2013 Roadglide 103. Vance and Hines FP3 & power dual head pipe with Tab Performance 50cal mufflers( this involves a little magic.) Sonos good runs great...
Love my 14 HO, Fuel Moto Jackpot header, intake. Power Vision and slip ons I have all the power I need and still get low to mid 40"s mpg riding two up. I thought about cams but it runs so well that unless I have to open it up I will leave it alone.
I have a 103 and I did do a wood 222 cam upgrade plus I upgraded the whole cam chest, cam plate , pushrods and oil cooler and it feel like a new bike. It’s much more fun to ride at a much cheaper price. 👍👍
My 2014 fat Bob was tuned by Bob Lobenberg There is $8000 in the engine.. It puts out a 118 horsepower and a 110 pounds of torque. It's a 103. Works for me.
After owning my 80" Evo powered 1990 FXR since new, I got my first twin cam about a month ago. It is a 103. I know nothing about fuel injection, computers or mapping but I'm learning. Your vids are very informative and are helping me decide where I might go with this motor in the future. Right now I just threw on some slip ons and will ride the hell out of it. Nice work dude. 👍 (and yes I kept the FXR, damn best Harley out there!)
I prefer my 07 custom with 103 kit than the new 88,its too smooth like you said. I think these custom and standard 103 bikes will increase in value by a large sum.
Love it! Gives me another chance to brag on my 103ci 2014 SGS. Woods 222 cam. Dan Vance Racing head work. V&H power duels. Air, remap and off to the races. Torque 116 and 103 hp. And great gas mileage! Runs smooth down the road. While the pipes are not loud, you can here them just like a HD should. New bikes have one thing nicer, the computer screen, which I don't care about. As to which engine, I guess if you want a new bike, it's what it comes with. I've got mine so set up between the engine and suspension upgrades, new bikes are just not as good! I'd have to do a lot of work. So for now, I'm a 103 guy. Thanks for another great video.
Gixxer, even though the M8's show impressive HP numbers with just the addition of a cam, I still don't like the sound! For me, there is nothing that can compare to a well tuned, carbureted twin cam with the right pair of cams in it...as always, great video and thank you!!!👍
Totally agree, nothing sounds like a carbed Harley! The M8 really does a different sound, even with a big cam they have some thump but still sound different.
I agree. I had a 01 RK with the CV carb, and the hi flow air cleaner, pipes and SE ignition module. The carb had been tweaked as well. Bike ran and sounded fantastic, so much so that a friend of mine bought it. Not usually a good move. But he loves it and he's still putting on the miles. Wish I would never had sold it!
I agree, I just traded my 2003 carbureted Fatboy with a 2 into 1 Rinehart for a 2018 Heritage 114. I still need to get pipes for the Heritage, but I know it's not going to sound as good.
I'm not written a new Milwaukee, but for me I miss the sound of the twin cam especially with a cam I'm not heard any Milwaukee Yates with cams in them that sound good at all granted powers power but half the fun of having a cam is to listen to it
I like your channel and just subscribed. I have a 2012 FLHX with the 103 and added V&H Pro pipe with so 4" slip ons. I used a SuperChips Vigilante to map my tune. Runs great but at 65 years old, this is going to be my last bike. I still ride daily and want to make sure my bike lasts. I was thinking to replace my cam tensioners and figure to throw a new cam in it and then I watched this. You give me hope! I will consider installing a Wood 222 and that should give me the power I lack and not add crazy wear and tear on the motor. Thanks!!
I’ve driven the M8 Harley and it honestly feel like a Japanese bike. The rumble, sound and overall feel of the twin cam hands down beats the overall feel of the ride. Especially when you upgrade the engine.
Great video. I totally agree with the 103. I did cams in my 16 streetbob with a stock 103. Also I added a upgraded high flow oil pump, cam plate, lifters and adjustable pushrods from feuling. I included installing the arlen ness monster sucker air cleaner, bassani 2 into 1 road rage 2, and reflashed the ecu with the power vision. The cams are the woods knight prowler 999-6a. These cams have the .575 in lift and a better duration valve opening over most cams I looked into. When it was all said and done after taking the bike into a dyno shop for a tune the bike puts out 112ft pounds of torque at the rear wheel with 102 hp. I had to upgrade the clutch too because it kept slipping. Ha ha ha.
Man that's gotta rip on a Street Bob, that's the lightest big twin out there. Sounds like you've done everything right on that motor and made some damn good power!
I prefer my 120R twin cam with modified heads, 66 mm throttle body, 6.2 gps injectors, S&S 240 high lift cams, roller lifters, Bassani 2 into 1 exhaust, 11.5/1 compression: Dyno run @ 138 tq; 135 hp. It handles like a kitten on the street and on the strip 10.30 sec. @ 140.9 mph
2010 Fatboy Lo and I have it at Harley right now getting the 96 to 103 with performance cams and Screaming Eagle clutch with a dyno tune plus other mods. Basically, I went with every performance upgrade option offered.
I have a 13 RG with 103 dyno vision SE airfilter and slip ONS. I have in the box S&S 551 cams and everything I need for cam job. But my bike runs so good now I'm waiting on cam job.???
I have a 2020 urta limited there just getting done with we went 128 zippers sleeper kit with 55 mm intack and 472 redshift cam stage two heads d&d 2x2xcat headers and to munch more to put in here we should be coming in around 133 hp and 158 tq is not verified yet should be around there if tq is in 150 or so I will be very happy and have taken other steps to insure reliability. Harley Stereo I was not happy with when I got it So headstage 2 put in was was very happy with that but have recently decided to add 2 speakers to saddle eggs and 2 speakers to my lowers and one more amp It's gonna be like having a new bike and another fun summer.
I have a 2016 SGS 103HO. I put a stage two with SE585 cam. According to the dyno I’m getting 114ftlbs of torque now. You can definitely feel it in the seat.
The 585 is one of Harley's more aggressive cams and SE is all about torque! I was told the dealers in California can't install the 585 anymore due to emissions which is sad.
If you are a Twin Cam owner and you want to increase its reliability and valve timing...S&S makes a CAM chest kit with Gear Driven 585 CAMS (Item #: 310-0816) and 510 CAMS (Item #: 310-0815). This kit further enhances the already very solid Twin Cam motor to be even better in terms of power and reliability as it eliminates the CAM chain and tensioner. Just remember with more power comes more heat, and you will want a good fan assisted oil cooler ( JAGG makes a great one! ) to improve engine heat management efficiency and reduce power loss when it gets hot...
I rode my 02 Sportster 1200 Custom for over 3 years. Earlier this year I was ready to upgrade to something bigger for my wife and I to be more comfortable on longer trips on, and for me to get into the bagger world. A trusted friend of mine who has worked at Indy shops on Harley’s for 20+ years told me to save some money upfront and just go with a low mileage 103 HO. I found a 2014 Ultra Limited, completely stock, 9,800 miles on it. I was on a budget in a way and I Had heard so many horror stories about the 1st generation of the M8s, so I decided to go with the Twin Cam 103 HO. I got an aftermarket air intake, Power duals into torquer 450s with a DynoJet PV4 and I cannot believe the sound, feel, and pure acceleration I get from those upgrades. I plan on putting some sort of cam into it but for now, she’s got more than enough power for what type of riding I do, thanks for your videos! Keep up the great content!! Ride safe everyone 🤘🏻
Talking about feel, my favorite was a 99’ Heritage Softail. The near last of the solidly mounted EVO’s. I just loved that feel. I think that’s what made HD so famous. That said, there’s nothing wrong with my 12’ 103. There’s plenty of power on tap for me. Just subscribed!
My honest opinion, those last few years of the 103 were the best that ever left the factory. Then of course they introduced the M8 and all the problem started again lol.
I interviewed my friends that had Harleys before choosing the 103 bike. The old school shake and thump is part of what makes the experience special. When you consider the expense of the dyno for a stage one set up, it’s really just not that much more to run a bolt in cam and really enjoy the best of what a HD can be. I do not want my Harley Davison to be more refined. Maybe if I had a dresser.
@@GixxerFoo I learned the value of this from you. I’m running the 583 now and it’s all the bike I need, or better yet. I had a 2007 CVO with the 110, thundermay andhead pipe. Now I have a 2019 Street Glide CVO under a extended woranty. I wasn't happy with the M8 power on the two days of fall riding. Just got rid of the cat., street tuner and did some slip ons. The first decent day I will know if it helps.
I've had both, but I do prefer the M8. The 103 is a great engine but you're right about the cam with the M8. A good aftermarket one will wake that motor right up. I did the stage 4 (114) on my 2018 and went with an aftermarket cam after my warranty was up and it was a huge difference. I went with a different tuner with a dyno and was impressed with the numbers. I just subscribed to your channel and really enjoy the content.
Thank you for the support! The M8's are really easy to make power on, it really doesn't take a whole to get one of those up in the 130 foot pound of torque range. It's really kinda scary how easy it is with that 4 valve head and monster displacement.
I like the twin cam. I have a 22 street bob with a 114. But I also have a 04 Road King with a 95" kit, head work, and two into one exhaust that sounds and runs Great.
I have a 09 fxdf 96 in. bought it used in2010. Then added a se 255 cam, se ventilator air cleaner. bassani road rage 2in1 ex. jarz dyno tune. 84 1/2 hp. 99ftlbs. torq. stock plugs. was thinking mebbe a 110 kit tw 222 cams.
I have a '14 Road king with the 103 HO and a '17 RGS with a 107. I Like you felt the 107 stock was just lame sounding at idle and due to the cam plate and oil pump issues I decided to up grade those parts and changed cam to a CR480. This fixed the idle and gave me almost a 40% HP gain. I was going to put cams in the 103 but changed my mind. It already has a nice sounding idle and has stage one with a tune and full exhaust with cat deleted head pipe. I really like the way the bike runs, sounds, and feels the way it is so I'm just going to leave it alone. Even though the numbers are lower with the 103 the bike feels just as fast as the M8 even though I'm just as sure the M8 would run away from the 103 if that makes sense? Numbers on a Dyno are one thing but the real life feel and sound are another. Both affect your senses right? Both of these engines have great things to like about them and honestly I cant pick a favorite between them. It's a nice problem to have.
On paper the M8 should blow a 103 away, but out on the road I've found them decently evenly matched depending on the riding situation. One gets out front and the other won't catch it, side by side pulls it can be a shooting match there.
I have ZERO desire to get off of my Twin Cam bikes. I don't want an M8. My 96 EFI is smooth and reliable. My wife enjoys it. My SE117 Stage IV is a blast to ride.

Always figured the last Twin Cam 103 would be pretty much bulletproof (for a HD) .. That's why I've got one (2016 SG). You'd have to drag me kicking & screaming to purchase a stock M8 at the moment- Too many issues.
My 2014 Rushmore 103 is an awesome bike with the Vance and Hines Fuel Pak 3 is all the power I need. Great fuel mileage to boot.
I just bought a 2016 103 streetglide, I pick it up next week. What is the mpg you get ?
I own a 2017 fxdl 103 H.O. fantastic bike with all the power I need.
I am very happy with my 103 FXDL!
And when I crave for more, I ride my 208 HP Ducati
My Twin-Cam 96 from 2010 is just fine. No need to change anything. Who cares about power or torque. It's all about the ride. 😁
They do really well with stock internals, the 96 makes some solid torque!
🙋♂️ me
I enjoyed my 2010 96” Ultra Classic owned from new.
That’s my softail at 1:55.
Purchased a 15 deluxe last spring and am getting ready for mods loving it a lot mor than my 05/88
I rode both. 😅
I have 2015 103 and could not be more happy. Love this channel
I have a 103 stock what set of tmans do you recommend?
@@arkomblago2222 I have the 555.
*Laughs in Evo Master Race
My last bike was a 2010 FLHTCU with a TC96, Rinehart true duals, K&N intake, and Woods 555 cams. It was surprisingly fast for what it was.
Thank you it’s awesome you brought up the 103 which I wouldn’t change for Milwaukee !!! I personally think twin cam all the way it sounds like a Harley is made to sound
Please bring out more videos for the 103 ….
I had a TC88 and TC96, never rode a TC103 but I heard a lot about how much heat they put off!
I have a twin cooled 2016 Road Ultra stage 1 with power vision tuner. I love this bike and got it on the cheap from HD dealer.
@@tetlow2 ua-cam.com/users/shortsTWgHcgFsPp0?feature=share
@Old Skool Racing thanks for letting me know. Your bike looks and sounds ds great, man. I'm diggin the bars, too. I'm a fan of apes.
Thank you! TW 222 is just one the best cams out there for a twin cam in my opinion. Now if you've got a M8 they do have that grind for the M8, but there are some better M8 cams from Wood.
I can only speak for the 103 which I’m very impressed with!
I have a 103 twin cam and thinking about changing cams to bring it up to 107 I love the 103 movement at stop fills bad ass
I have a 2014 Breakout, but I love the sound of the older bikes so much.
A lot of people get down on that FP3 but in my opinion they really have some great maps!
Twin Cam 103 with cams in it good exhaust and an intake what a powerhouse
They really do run great with the a good cam set and exhaust, most will scrap their plans for big bore kits after a cam swap.
Very nice! You did it the right for sure, you've got to have all the supporting parts to make it last and have some peace of mind.
@@GixxerFoo What do you think about running an aftermarket high compression pistons of the same displacement of 103 along with a Feuling 525 cams?
was this on the H.O. or the 103?
My 2014 fat Bob was tuned by Bob Lobenberg There is $8000 in the engine.. It puts out a 118 horsepower and a 110 pounds of torque. It's a 103. Works for me.
Suzuki m109r’s have more hp and torque than that from factory. I paid $5500 for mine with 7k miles on it but your bike will sound better
I had the fxr with solid lifers didn’t like the noise but run better than some new ones
I still enjoy the sound of my TC carbureted scooter… running 510 cams
Shovelhead sounds best imo
Have a stage 4 2016 103. Very happy and not even considering a M8.
They run really well with the stage 4 kits, they can put some power down with the right parts!
Thanks!!
I sure do miss my twin cam 96 cubic inch I've got the Milwaukee 107 it just doesn't have the feel of the twin cam
Yep the one thing I hate about Harley is that, if you have a bike older than 3 years they for got you for parts or anything 😢
i'll keep my 2015 twin cam. main reason? it's paid for!!
I have 90k on my 103 ho and love it but I love how smooth the m8 run
Get a gold wing then. The smoothest
I’ve driven the M8 Harley and it honestly feel like a Japanese bike. The rumble, sound and overall feel of the twin cam hands down beats the overall feel of the ride. Especially when you upgrade the engine.
My opinion, the 103 is better. The M8 rides like a Suzuki Boulevard or a Vstar. Too smooth, it’s a Harley.. I wanna feel the rattle. It’s part of it.
I love my 103 on my 2012 Heritage. I am anxious to get her back doing stage 2 with cobra bad hombre
@ 140.9 mph
DAYUM! Serious power
........👏👏👏👏
Nice
That's awesome I would love to see some videos of that motor I've always heard about that motor being the beast..
That's the same as my gixxer in the quarter mile.
My 15 RG 103 with SE 211 cams makes 94 hp and 110 tq and will run right with any 107 or stock 114.
I love the tourge of a twin cam ..I went from a 96 to a 103 ho want a different in torque...
Oh yeah that 103 lay down some torque, horsepower isn't too bad either!
Any idea how to get more gas mileage out of the 103 ho... everything is stock..and the cat still in
2010 Fatboy Lo and I have it at Harley right now getting the 96 to 103 with performance cams and Screaming Eagle clutch with a dyno tune plus other mods. Basically, I went with every performance upgrade option offered.
I have a 13 RG with 103 dyno vision SE airfilter and slip ONS. I have in the box S&S 551 cams and everything I need for cam job. But my bike runs so good now I'm waiting on cam job.???
I’m sticking with my Twin Cam bikes
Twin Cam is a solid motor, they got a bad reputation there for a bit but Harley got it right on the 103.
I’ve had both m8 117 and now I have 103 and I love the 103
I have a 2020 urta limited there just getting done with we went 128 zippers sleeper kit with 55 mm intack and 472 redshift cam stage two heads d&d 2x2xcat headers and to munch more to put in here we should be coming in around 133 hp and 158 tq is not verified yet should be around there if tq is in 150 or so I will be very happy and have taken other steps to insure reliability. Harley Stereo I was not happy with when I got it So headstage 2 put in was was very happy with that but have recently decided to add 2 speakers to saddle eggs and 2 speakers to my lowers and one more amp It's gonna be like having a new bike and another fun summer.
I love my 103 Twin Cam. Got 67k miles. Just did a stator replacement on it. 2013 FXDWG. When it comes time I plan to do the 110 kit.
Not getting rid of my 117” twin cam no time soon. 0 problems to report.
Hello again, I'm very happy with Harley Davidson motor company,,, from Canada, Paul ✌️🇨🇦🤸
I have a 2012 heritage softtail 103 I love it no problem at all
I rode my 02 Sportster 1200 Custom for over 3 years.
I have pretty stock 12 SG, changed exhaust from SE Slip Ons to V&H 4.5 Big Shots from a friend. Plan on Stage 1 intake, not sure what else yet ..
2016 road glide 103 HO.👊
My honest opinion, those last few years of the 103 were the best that ever left the factory. Then of course they introduced the M8 and all the problem started again lol.
With the proper upgrades 103's make solid numbers! Love the video keep it up!
Thanks! Will do! Yeah just a stock 103 with a good cam and the right exhaust will really lay down solid horsepower and torque!
Cam swap on a Harley makes all the difference, that's some of the best money you can spend on a Harley.
@@GixxerFoo
I learned the value of this from you.
I’m running the 583 now and it’s all the bike I need, or better yet. It’s right under that threshold where you move from enjoying your bike into managing you bike. Really woke up 6th gear also. You content is 100 times better then the other stuff.
Thank you.
@@GixxerFoo What would you recommend for a cam upgrade on a stock 2015 Street Glide Special if you're just looking for a little better performance + sound without sacrificing reliability and mpg. What price range would this cost?I'm pretty content with My 103 the way it is,I had a 2000 Harley Wideglide for My first Harley and Loved it.
Twin cam 103HO, to 110 tire shredder. Jugs, Heads, cams, 58mm TB
Couldn’t agree more. The 2014 onward 103 are amazing.
Damn right
Love my 103 HO
Those late model 103's are my favorite engines, there's just so much potential right out of the box with them.
Watched video on cams for 103.cant find again looking for the woods 222 I think
