Anna, I agree with those who loved it. Original. Unique. Fascinating--really great to see how chess players think and feel. Bravo. However, I'm afraid the music was tolerable but only barely so. Had the video been longer, the music would have detracted from it. Please try these videos (at least sometimes) with no music (the background sounds of the cafe are wonderful and sufficient), or else music that is less dramatic, less repetitive (think cool jazz or laid-back classical), and also a bit quieter, even more in the background so it doesn't attract any attention to itself, detracting from your great video, but only adds to the video without being itself even noticed by the viewer. Thanks again, Anna. (Could you play slightly longer games? If too long, you could edit them down to ten or eleven minutes while doing the voiceover narration.)

I teach at a Dutch primary school. Last week, all the higher-year students were allowed to participate in workshops hosted by parents (some kids went baking, some went to a Christmas Village, etc.). Quite a few of the kids wanted to play chess. I hosted, together with two students' fathers, a short chess course (pretty basic concepts), followed by about 1,5 hours of free play. While I was walking around and checking in on the students, one of the dads asked me (he prepared a presentation for the kids on basic chess concepts) to play, while we walked around the classroom. I play about twice a month, 1,5 hours each time against my grandfather. While I held up all the way into the late middle game, I noticed my pieces were quite tied up and I resigned after some passive moves and losing a pawn. Then he told me that back in the day, he played tournaments and was a 2100. I never played someone about as strong as you, I now see the importance of playing of of a plan hahaha. Winging it didn't work. Such a fun game, chess is.
