Love how Chris keeps changing up the rig and keeps everyone up to date
Chris is literally me.
I still sound the same everytime i change rig.
The only difference is i sound bad.
And without fuss or drama chris became the first (only ) guitarist to use the word COMMENSURATE..
Nah there have been a ton of British guitarists
@@bobbiemiles-foremaniii8747plenty of articulate American ones too.
MISused
Maybe one of these days Cardinal Black will play Atlanta. If so, I'll be there,
YES! I'll be front & center!
Wow what a player Chris is only just found ya cheers m8.
And the king of the blues is :::::::::;:;:::chris buck.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Holy $hit !! I seldom comment on videos and almost never on someone's guitar playing, but that solo was in-sane.. Im sure most appreciated it, but I wonder how many people in that crowd realize the thousands of hours of practice that goes into looking and sounding that natural and effortless.. That part in the middle coming out of the big power chords was as fluid as you can be.. Hats off Mr. Buck !!
I did!! The gig was top class as was the whole band!!
Chris, thanks for a great show in Hull last night and come back soon (even up here to Scarborough if you like). A couple of years ago I was watching a random demo of that KoT online when my ears pricked up for the quality of the playing, which has since become unmistakable. It was you... and that demo was the first time I'd heard you play. It was nice to spot it on the board yesterday!
Love the fact that he shows the other musicians gear to.
Chris is an awesome player who deserves to be famous for it.
Yeah why aren't guitarists like this touring with bands or on that youtube?
I managed to get one of those leftover Dunlop Picks from the Islington gig after the show and have been using it last few days! A lot thicker than I normally use but I love it. Like to think they are enchanted with magical playing powers after whatever deal Chris made with the devil at the crossroads 👍🏼
Saw you supporting Frampton in Stoke..Great band
That show last night was gold!
Excellent last night again.
Nice one Chris , was there to see it all last night , and great to see your setup , and got a chance to say hi to you guys, and a big thanks to Adam for what he did 🥁
Chris, the tone you had with that Blackguard Tele on Wednesday in Guildford was awesome, me and my dad were there and we both mentioned it after the gig in the car on the ride home! So crisp and bright, cut through the room perfectly! You guys were epic mate, can't wait to see you again!
Outstanding, I love that anywhere you are you if a Chris Buck Comes on you automatically know it is Chris Buck, you have you own Sound, which is Beautiful and Electric ⚡️, and The Band Cardinal Black has such soul, you guy’s just kill it. Lisa Einsohn ✌️💫💛💛💛💛❤️
Fantastic as always.
I am pleased to say I was there on Thursday night. Awesome does not come close to describing how good you guys are. Dare I say that you are the best band to come out of Wales since the Stereophonics. Please please please get yourselves on Jools Holland's show. Your talent deserves to be recognised more widely.
Glorious tone and amazing note choice! Thank you Chris, for being you
Loved this video! And loving the album! 🤘
Can I buy your goldtop Revstar please 😂 looks and sounds amazing
Awesome video!
Hey Chris! Come to Michigan!! Y’all need an American tour!lol
YUP!
Saw them at the Albert Hall and was very impressed
Amazing concert vid/sound!! Band sounds incredible!!!
I’ll see you here in Maastricht. You’re gonna love the venue, especially the attic and the studios. There will also be some familiar ‘welsh’ faces coming to visit.
Thanks for the rig rundown including the bass rig!
Sounding great as always,
Love the rig. Nice to see you using Fenders. 🙂
Superb rundown of your amazing setup. Gutted to have not got to any UK dates, next time. Have a blast in Europe guys.
Very good band congratulations!!
Oh I needed this today!
Awesome gear video! Thanks for sharing this. You are amazing player. 🎉❤
Thanx Chris!
Brilliant Gig last night in Islington = Amazing Performance from the Band
Saw you in Oxford. Absolutely incredible. Loved how fun and intimate it felt.
Great show in Guildford On Wednesday. Beautiful guitar tones and wonderful fluid playing. Nice bunch of people as well. Best of luck for the rest of the tour.
Dude your my inspiration 🙏🏼 thank you for being consistent 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥹
Taking time out with your busy schedule to show your live rig is really appreciated. We would love to see you play again, but we're moving from the West Coast to Tennessee, the plus side is we'll be closer to the UK🌞🎶Much success on your tour. Cheers, Craig
long live rock! im glad to see a young, working rock n roll oriented, guitar driven band achieving success! good job chris buck from america!
Sweeeeet gear. Great band! Chris has magical hands and an imagination to drive them.
Chris your playing sounds so fucking amazing always! I’m so impressed with the way your not a gear snob you just use the right tool for the job! Currently my favorite new player your feel is just epic and your solos move me more the anyone I can think of currently
Saw you guys at Brighton! Very good set, that second song has been in my head since. Pretty sure I've heard a similar solo to it in one of your previous vids!
Having seen you before at your first Brighton gig from the prev tour, the bass rig was more powerful and he sounded great at the Concorde, cut through the mix!
Good luck for the rest of the tour!
Cheers Chris
1:07 God Damnnn!!!
Tasty rig for sure!
Loved that Warm Love solo, pretty different to the 2022 live ones, sounding fresh!!
Those new old amps are sounding killer too. 2x12 and 4x10, I think there’s enough punch there!!
Looking forward to the re-scheduled Bristol gig whenever that may be 😎
Chris, are you guys going to come to the US any time soon? Would love to see you guys live!
ATL GA Eagerly awaiting a show!!
Chris'
I am always blown away, by your playing. I don't think you looked at your neck, once, during the intro solo. It was absolutely brilliant! Truly inspired, and totally inspiring! Thank you 👍🏼👍🏼
So I was so happy to hear the story about your telli. I live 10 miles from their shop and was able to pick it up my MJT person. I love it. Best neck I have.
I was so looking forward to seeing you guys live in the Netherlands (Eindhoven) in 2 weeks time!!! - but unfortunately I can't make it...
I'll see if there's a German gig close to the border, and if not I'll definitely catch you guys next time round 😎👍
Have fun on the road!!!
⚓️ Thanks Chris 😎 CB 🎸
Wish I was there!
Wow, 6 guitars, a dozen pedals and 2 amps! Makes me glad I take 1 guitar and 1 amp for my pub gigs..😊
I also have a Squier 40th Jazzmaster and I concur, it’s a great guitar! Looking forward to hearing you play it in Hull on Friday!
Looking forward to seeing you play on the JB med cruise.
And older fender amps , very cool Mr Chris . Carry on sir .
Very interested in hearing more about the super reverb.
Mee-yol-neer
Then smash it all together as fast as you can :)
Love to see the pedal show board all lived in/loved on/still present.
seen them in belfast, brilliant band.
Saw.
Love the videos. It's about time for some new boots, Mr. Buck. 🙂
Thanks for sharing. Check out the RMC line if you are looking to replace the wah.
Yay the Trelicopter. It is a fraction of the cost of a boutique trem pedal, but it's one of the very best out there. Awesome stuff, mate.
AMAZING SOLO!! ALSO - The sound engineer killed it that mix is solid!!
I was stood in front of the sound desk it sounded ace really good venue
Inpossible to tell by the recording (which sounds like mud), or course; but, yeah, one would expect the engineer to be good.
Blimey. All those pedals ! And there was me thinking you did it all through a helix. Great playing as always mate.
i love the pedal board where its on 2 levels!
Most of the bigger boards utilise "risers" like that. Especially when you're taking advantage of a switcher.
That chic can play!
Ever try a Believable Audio "29 Pedals" EUNA in front of all? Basically a clarity driver / buffer with a twist. I can't live without it. But then, I can barely play with or without it! LOL
Wot no Strat Chris ? Great rundown !
I’d be really interested in hearing the stage volumes you generally run. 2 1/2 on the amp is still running fairly clean, right? Maybe a video on setting amps/pedals to get ideal tone at stage friendly volume?
I find it’s easy to make a loud amp sound great, but as you pull it back it can be difficult. Would love pro tips!
That’s the coolest Super Reverb I’ve ever seen. I own 3 mid 60’s Super’s currently. It’s my favorite Fender amp ever made. It even beats the Tweed amps I’ve owned, including really good Bassman’s.
The bland black on silver can get a bit mundane. If I ever come across a cosmetic basket case Super, I might just give it the brown face treatment!
Tht goldtop is a gem .
Hi Chris saw you in Cork. you guys sounded amazing unbelievable guitar tone. The only Paddy you met in Ireland
Britain's new guitar god
The Squire 40th sounds so good. I'd be interested to know if you did any fret work I had to dress them, and the PU toggle switch cut out 8/10 times on the bridge possition had to put a switchcraft in there. One thing I was impressed with was how solid the Trem was. stays in tune
sehr geil
Where house guitar speakers are awesome. I have one of their ceramic 15s in one of my super reverbs and 4 of their 10s in a blues Deville
I have a blueshawk with a varitone that I use as my open G guitar. And it does need an extra boost it next to my other guitars. That said it’s an underrated tone sculpting tool. It gives you lots of tones that may sound weird or unconventional on their own. But in a full band mix are amazing.
gotta say the audience sounded great on those "YEAH'S"!
Awesome rig! Should check out a 1970 ampeg v4 amp, i think you would sound insane on one! Cheers 🍻
When you tour Canada and you hit Toronto please make a video about it, I want to see you live
Look up the first slash cry baby wah model, the red one. I think it's pretty much the same but it has a gain boost with a button to turn it on and off, and it also has a gain and tone knob, that should do it for you
I like his jacket
I wondered why you were lifting your board up last night… Now I can see that it’s a 2 tiered treasure chest 😂
First??
Anyway, love your stuff chris. So excited for another Friday fretworks
Interesting ... all those pedals going into the front of two Fender amps? No effects loop for delay and verb? I can't argue with success. It sounds great.
When you get your overdrive from pedals, all the modulation/reverb/time based sounds are already after the "dirt" so it eliminates the need to put them after the pre-amp.
The fender amp combo is niiiccceeee
Which one?
Kind of like meeting the Wizard of Oz... Love the gear I am a gadget guy so I get it... but DAMNNN son I had no idea you were multi-fexxing like that wow
Sometimes think my pedalboard is too much then I see something like this and realise I have a lot to learn 😮
What step down converter do you use for the 68' Super Reverb and do you think it affects the tone of the amp?
Love these videos and can't wait to see y'all live!
Great question! I don't see how it couldn't make a notable difference. Would love to hear him address this topic.
Yeah. I mean electricity is electricity, right? But sometimes, something that shouldn't make a difference does, so I'm more than a little curious myself now.
Honestly not entirely sure what it is - it came with the amp. There is undoubtedly a rabbit hole I could go down there but I'm quite happy above ground for once on this one! 😆
Echorec is my fav delay by far
CHRIS!!!!!!! Hey doood i notice on your solos they tend to not cut as much as maybe you’re looking for. FOH is doing the best they can. Have you tried a Boss GE-7 at the end of your drive pedals. You just need a little bump of 1.2-1.6 and you’ll be slicin thru that mix without dramatically changing your tone. Maybe check out the XTS version. Cheers!
This video made me think I had tinnitus 😂 but this is such a good breakdown and killer tone!
Quick question for your FOH engineer, how is the proximity effect managed with the ribbons? HPF? Low shelf? It'd be interesting to know! Really nice rig though!
I am glad that you reduced the keyboard cover for better visibility to the keyboard player 😊
Otherwise great as usual.
It’s the same keyboard surround. Just painted a different colour.
I wish that I'd known you were going to Absolute music, as I only live a couple of miles from it.
Chris, serious question. Do you think your sexy pointy boots help when clicking pedals on and off. I'm always hitting two at a time in generic trainers.
Awesome video. You making your way to the states?
Hey Chris. Nice Video. What is the name of the Song at the end? Minute 17:10
Tell Me How It Feels.
Yes, we do care about the BASS!!!
Seeing 60 Eur Mooer next to 800+ Eur Kot is kinda.. impressive. Thank you for that choice
