      Awesome episode. Been hankering after a P90 guitar and looking at the revstar RS502 and suddenly this video comes up! Can i just say you've inspired me to play daily in the hope of one day being able to emulate a fraction of what i hear you play.

      Chris congratulations on the success of the new EP. Love it.
      Agree with you on the P90’s and picked up my first set in a 502T you recommended to me via a comment on your channel. I have been hassling Yamaha sines you got you demoed your signature Revstar and wondering if they are going to make any available.. Give them a nudge for us punters.. All the best..👍🇦🇺

      @@etucc8 yeah what i would really like is a gibson LP studio with P90s but those are hard to find in my neck of the woods. Then i considered putting two Original P90s on my strat but that would cost $400 so figured i might as well put a little on top and get a revstar 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Every pedal board on this planet (in my opinion) should have a "Chorus" pedal (if the amp doesn't have the option) for sure---it is the greatest sound in my ears.
    Solid State, I have Fender Ultimate Chorus, Power Chorus, and Princeton Chorus amps---but for my tube amps I have a Fender Chorus pedal. It's a must in my world. Love them.

    Please help me understand because I'm not so experienced: If you have all that pedals, and than go to a real tube amp, and then If you are in live you mic the amp, or if you are recording you use the ox box, than what is he using the Helix for? For overdrive-distortion? No. For modulation effects? No. For amp modelling? I guess no. I really don't understand how does it affect the tone and what comes before and after it.

    This guy can really play and seems very humble and well spoken. All in all a great musician and guitar player! I will say though, I truly can't wrap my head around is why he feels the need to push his guitar neck around like that while he is playing. Does he think it's creating some sort of movement in terms of vibrato? You would need to hold the body and push the neck to create any difference in pitch... Is it just for show? Maybe he just feels like he plays more expressively when he waves the neck around... I don't get it! Looks so silly (to me!) sitting there shaking your neck around like that while you're playing, but then again, whatever works haha. Still sounds great!

    • @LennyJohnson5
      @LennyJohnson5 3 роки тому

      Exactly. Everyone has their own style, their own idiosyncrasies which make them individuals... it's like questioning why Messi does his boots up differently to other people. Just accept that's what he does and sit back to enjoy the results of their talent. Nothing else matters 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @metart93
      @metart93 3 роки тому

      @@LennyJohnson5 Agreed, 100%. But I feel like it would be more like Messi doing *jazz hands* every time he passed the ball, or some other strange, loud, idiosyncratic gesture that had no impact on the game being played and seemed like he could (hypothetically at least) do without. A guitar player having a preference in strings might be more akin to a soccer player lacing up his boots a certain way... Anyway sorry to nit-pick your analogy. I still agree with the point you made! Doesn't take away from the music even if I might find it a bit odd haha.
