I love seeing that Soldano build list
Thanks so much RJ...
@@timpierceguitar What pedal would you buy if you can't afford to get a vintage Nobels? What pedal sounds the most similar?
no doubt.
RJ you should be on that list!! 🤘
Yeah that was dope.
Really cool to see you all together!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey thanks very much, the only thing missing was Beato !
I just love it when all my favorite Guitar Tubers get together. It's such a thrill! Thank you, Tim.
Looks like a great hang Tim, sorry I missed it.
This video is a mini-clinic on being a great modern guitar player. Tim, you are as always THE MAN.
That was fun and Cory Congilio KICKED ASS on that ending solo! Great playing.
"Find your favourite setting and then it's okay to never change it" - I have a Line 6 Pod Go. It can do all sorts, but I have my Fender Twin preset locked down and everything else is a variation on that. Amen!
In Seattle the late 80s I used to rehearse at The Blue Room on Capitol Hill. In the room was a Soldano belonging to Mike’s good friend Tommy Martin. I’d never seen one before and was intrigued. If you look at the list, it was Soldano #1.
I met Tim at GearFest 2019, briefly . . . he was gracious and courteous. Met Paul Reed Smith wandering through the flea market. Saw the Steve Vai concert and saw Eric Johnson soundchecking. Good times.
Hey Tim Pierce - You are never in a scene without a guitar (and this is as it should be) BUT you never have the same guitar twice! I noticed even two different Les Pauls! LOL
Awesome show, thanks Tim!
God Bless
And you say you don't do Jazz, Tim. Yeah, right. That session you played was magic! And bang on Jazz, man!! 🤩👏👏👏👏👏
That was a super-fun whirlwind tour - thanks for sharing, Tim!
Great advice Tim - regarding ‘finding your tribe’
It’s honestly really encouraging and inspiring.
Thanks Tim for sharing with us!!!
Wow. You really don't know that you're at the very top of all these astounding musicians.
Oh he does, Tim just carry’s no ego, and has humility for days. This is why him and Tom Buko are my favorite session players of all time…
I always enjoyed watching the Tim and Pete show
I loved the comments regarding balancing tone between rhythm and lead. Warren Haynes utilizes the bridge pickup when soloing in the lower register of the neck. When he moves up the neck to the higher registers, he switches to the neck pickup.
Omg Phils face lighting up when Tim says he helped him and that he's grateful for him
Been playing for over 50 years tried em all still sticking with Strats with 9 gauge Super Bullets!! I'm a lefty so selection isn't as plentiful as it is for right handers!👍💯
Tim I always love your 'pearls of wisdom' interspersed within your episodes. This one in particular was jam packed with tips for aspiring pro players. Thanks mate Tim Pierce Guitar
There's alot of great material in this video. I love when you talk about taking criticism or rejection and bouncing back. I'm experiencing this in a different way trying to get my channel going. You want people to like it and be on board right away. But it's not like that at all, you have to do the hard work constantly and just keep going. And music has to stay personally rewarding I think. And hopefully people will come around. Your honesty and knowledge are both powerful Tim. And I think this is why people enjoy your channel so much. I really want to take the time to dive into your masterclass soon. Thank you....
Thanks for the awesome tour of the other side,Tim..!👍🏼❤️
Thanks for another great video. You're always entertaining and never boring. Much respect Tim...
Watching you and Pete chatting I remembered the first Pete video I saw on the Suhr Badger 18W demo way back in 2007. What an interesting evolution it has been to watch develop over the years. That was a real "Who's Who of Guitar Player You Tube Creators" convention! Thanks!
Thanks Tim!
All of my favorite guys I follow in one place! Minus a few of course like Chris Buck, Paul’s Davids and Mary Spender.
This was an exceptional video. So much packed into 13 minutes, Thanks Tim
Great video. I really appreciate Cory Congilio too. What a talent. Thanks Tim.
That Soldano orders list is nuts! Do you still have your SLO, Tim?
Thanks for recording and posting this, interesting.
Some awesome guys all together there.
very informative vid Tim thanks
Just so cool to watch all you guys in one video.
Great video, and I loved seeing all my favorite UA-camrs giving advice.
IS THAT TIM SHREDDING ON A 7??!! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
Hardly workin! Good stuff Tim!!
Awesome to see all you guys in one video!
👍👍👍👍👍🇦🇺
Wow! All my favorites. Tim Pierce, Pete Thorn, Rhett Shull….
I bought a PRS Custom 24 SE 25th Anniversary Edition. I had it set up years ago with low action. It's utterly ridiculous! No other guitar that I own or have owned (that's around 15 guitars in total) has had such low action, and it still doesn't fret out, there's no buzz and it sounds really good!
Really cool to see all together 💕💞💫❤️🔥👍
I loved this montage so much.
😎 Thanks Tim ⚓️
Great video!!
I wish we had a chance to hang a bit but I had to split early. This was a great watch... always so insightful my friend.
Tim, thanks for sharing your channel to promote these other great channels and personalities (eg Ben Ellen etc) Bravo.
Corey Congilio rocking some dope hi-tops.
Hey Mr. Pierce...
Thank you SO much for my favorite artist settings in my new UAFX Dream.😃😎👍
Stunning tones😁😎👍
Thanks😎👍❤🖖
How fun is that. I’ve done a little business with Sweetwater and they have always made sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. I’ve never been to their store but it looks to be a lot of fun. I want to thank you for sharing your experience’s with us all. I look forward to seeing you in another episode from your command post in The Valley 😂Take Care
Super interesting!
Hi Tim, thanks for the video. In the segment with the prs, you say you usually lower the string action a bit when you get a new one as they come with strings set a bit high. Would you have a measurement for your preferred setup?
One of my favorite stores. I miss the gearfests as they were before the pandemic.
really enjoyed this video!
Pete Thorn is definitely the Rock Star of the bunch. Vibe on Pete, vibe on.
really cool 😎 I watch all you guys
I've learned so much about everything to do with with the guitar and amps I'm 56 been playing since I was 15 but 3 years ago I couldn't tell you what a El 34 was I can now that's just one example great work lol from all you guys thank you
This is awesome! Now I have to find the keyboard part since I play both keyboards and guitars.
So much great things to learn from great players.
What a cool video! Thanks a million, Tim! 10/10! 👍 🙏
Interesting insight.
Soldano list was classic.
Amazing to see all this. Also Tim, I saw you on the Mimisounds video and I thought I should mention: have you thought about releasing your "in the box" presets? I would pay for some Echoboy Tim Pierce presets, and I'm sure more people would too!
It would be great to see details about how you chose that Gibson LP- It's so hard to let an owned LP go, when you kinda know it's just not the right one, but what else is there
I could spend all day there!!👍💯
A great fresh look behind the scenes of several business categories.
Thanks for the comment
Great
Damn ! This session sound good ! Where can I found the full version please ? Thanks !
“Tribe” comments are right on point, Tim. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼
Marc, thanks so much... miss you, let's catch up soon
This is great. Im due a visit . SW are very good to me
Why in the hell wasn’t I invited to this??? I teach by playing using the George Constanza Method…if everything I play is wrong - and it is - then the opposite of what I’m playing must be right. That knowledge is invaluable.
Thx, Tim. Looked fun to me! And here in Indiana, Ft. Wayne is not considered a "small town" like your email stated. LOL.
Good stuff :)
It was nice meeting you at this event, Tim!
You too! Make sure you stay in touch ...
11:34 wish I had heard that years ago, lol
Like & quick comment left for your benefit Tim...
Keeping it small
So
You can keep it all !!!
👊😏
Love watching y’all do a Musicians’s Play Date!!!
Tim, You are just saying about lowering the action so as guitar plays itself, I bought an American Les Paul Standard back in the early eighties and the frets were so low as was the action and it did seem to play itself as you say. Not heard to many talk about that sort of stuff but I think it is really interesting and it can so contributes to how you feel when playing. You need to know a good luthier though. Thanks for the vid and hard work put in at the gig. Sweetwater should get to the UK.
1:15 is a rare Eclipse Sparkle ebony fretboard Music Man JP15 Petrucci, not a Schechter.
I'm a shamelessly admitted Sweetwater fanboy, it's not so much drinking the kool-aid as having access to so much pro gear you can't always get from a mom and pop store. I think they've done as much for the amateur music industry as many of the professional artists themselves. In the 70's and earlier ALL we had were whatever stores may be within our local area and the limitations of the gear available were often times pretty severe!
Like Tim, I also crave the artifacts….
“UA-cam gear videos help you save time and money” 😂 I’ll let my wife know
Fun !! 8-)
the guitar creators of youtube are so incredibly wise
My channel is jealous of your channel. I am also jealous that you got to visit Sweetwater. I definitely need to make the trek.
And there's still a lot that they don't care that are great pedals
Going back to the 90s *Home Studio Revolution* Sweetwater is a company that I have never felt bad about giving my money to.
Had the guy from Duran Duran!
See Tim Pierce covering some Led Zeppelin with Beth Hart including, Black Dog and Babe I'm Gonna Leave You.
The last guitar I would expect Tim to be playing in a music video is a Gibson Korina Explorer. The acoustic guitar could be a Gibson J-185, J-100, or J-200. #GearEnyy #BossRolandSpaceEchoEchoEcho
Nick D is a beast.
Wait, where's the Electric Mistress flanger in the Pedal Display??? I probably should have slowed down the video. 🙂 Really fun video, Tim.
Nick and Tim. Do some Kevin G!
Yours truly 😂
Tim is our tribe ;^)
that's a beautiful honey burst Les Paul.
That should have been about 3 hours longer
Tim. I'm just learning guitar. One question for you if you don't mind. Are there people for whom the B Major chord is physically impossible? Even if I'm forcing my fingers into place with my right hand, I can't ever make them cover the barre at the top then the three on the 4th fret there. Cheers.
Try using your little finger for the bar at the top :) that's the way I do it 100% of the time
@@timpierceguitar Thank you sir. I'll give that a try. I watched your videos and Rick's videos and Guy Pratt's videos for years and decided it's ridiculous. Playing is clearly something I want to do and decided to bite the bullet 2 weeks ago. My fingers are nice and calloused already and it's been tons of fun learning. Thank you for all you've shared on UA-cam. I really appreciate it.
I can personally vouch for Tim's Masterclass - the new Beginner's' course is outstanding, especially for adults who like being treated as adults. We're very lucky that Tim has turned his eye toward education. Lessons from a man with nothing to prove. Outstanding.
@@DonSambrook Do you think it's suitable for someone who is *really* new to playing? I imagined it was for ahh, more intermediate players. I can't agree enough with your statement about how lucky we are he's interested in educating.
I feel so ignorant about music. As I get older and look more closely at who played on and produced the records I love, I see over and over it's the same small circle of people and one name that pops up over and over and over is Tim's. His musical footprint has been enormous but incredibly gentle.
@@OTOss8 I do. Guitar has been a Covid project for me. I signed up for Tim's Masterclass early on - before he had a beginner section. What was available before was interesting, but above my abilities. I'd do other things online and come back for a Tim course periodically. When the beginner lessons arrived, I dove in and have been making very good progress that really feels like I'm getting somewhere. I tried a bunch of other online beginner courses that never clicked.
Tim has a trial period, so you can try it yourself and see if it works for you. Tim works theory in as you go but if you want to dive into something specifically on that topic, I recommend Gracie Terzian's videos. Great teacher.
Final thing I can recommend as an old starter - I'm 66 now. If playing still hurts, you just have to keep pushing until it doesn't. Most people who started playing as kids either don't remember how much it hurt or maybe it isn't as painful for kids. It hurts like hell - until it doesn't. Getting past the pain is critical for progress. I'm already forgetting how much it used to hurt :)
Tim that was great, good interviews, good production. I missed seeing Paul Allen and Steve Stein, just sayin..:0)
Man Pete Thorn is such a tasty player. Cool to see you two chilling
Big fan of Pete Thorn, Robert Baker, and YOU, Tim! I love how Robert went “mmmyeah, NO!” when he saw the fuzz pedals
Tim, When you were touring with Rick Springfield were some of your other band mates the figures from Gary Myrick's band?BTW I really enjoyed your Sweetwater show coverage.
Tim responding to your text when you toured with Rick Springfield were the Figures from Gary Myrick touring with you
Props to Mark Lettieri for the King's X t-shirt.
I like how you maintain your sense of optimism with your spouse…Tim, has that protestation EVER worked?🤣😂
