- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- A complete Gypsy Jazz beginner guide by an intermediate beginner. I have been playing the Gypsy Jazz guitar music style for four years in total now and have visited tons of workshops and followed many online courses. Out of all these resources, I put together my own practice routine and collection of dos and don'ts when learning to play and study the style. I like to share with you what I have learned along the way in this video.

A really valuable and carefully considered video for guitarists starting out playing gypsy jazz. It’s like building a wall, row by row, ensuring strength and foundation. Excellent!
Thanks for the shout out man! 🙂🙏👍
You are very welcome Mr. Harris! I really love and admire your work!
Thanks for sharing Alex
Grazie
It's insightful to hear about your experiences from attending so many workshops with top-level teachers. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Niilo! Great to hear from you! Thank you for your reply! I remember we had a little jam in Samoreau last year. I love your channel, keep up the amazing work and hope to see you again somewhere along the Gypsy Jazz trails!
@@GypsyJazzDiaries I remember it too. Samoreau is the place to be. If you are there this year we should jam some more 😊
Nice video and so recognizable this journey from beginner to better step by step.
I’m glad I could help!
I don't normally comment on videos, but I really appreciate you putting your thoughts on the subject out there. I'm a little behind you in this journey upwards through the valley, and it's affirming to see that all the effort and learning pays of over time! Thanks.
Thank you for taking the time to react! This means a lot to me! I am happy to be some kind of help :) Happy playing!
Thanks, Alex. Very helpful!
Thanks Brad! Hope to see you again soon!
Thanks for sharing. Great to have the insights of someone a little bit further ahead as well as those that seem to be at an unobtainable level. Thanks for the pointers on the resources too!
Hi Adam! Thank you for your reaction. Glad to hear the video can be of some help! Happy studies!!
I know you as a "Not Quitter". That's what Django also did. "Playing with his physical ability". Find your own best way to express yourself. Thanks for sharing.
Excelent Alex! you've been doing and amazing work this years. Guitar playing, enjoying with friends and sharing. ✨😀
Thank you, Jose! It is always a great pleasure to play with you! Hope you are doing well and hope to see you soon!
Hey, it's Jose again!
Nice one :-)
Thank you Mr Chang! I’m honored :)
Very good Video Alex! I hope to see you at Gismo in June :)
Hey Frank! Thank you! I’m trying my best to be there. It’s been too long since we play together :)
Yess broo
🙂🙃
You have some good points, but you talk to much. Dont tell it, show it 🤩
@murphysound Thank you for watching and for your comment! The next video I’m working on will be more hands on :)
W O W 💫 you sent me for a wild 🦆 Goose Chase I was hoping to get some kind of information about Gypsy Jazz but instead fell asleep and I don't remember what time but woke up in the middle of the night 🌉.
Well, a wild Goose Chase is exactly how I would describe learning to play Gypsy Jazz, much of it being very confusing. I guess you learned everything you needed then ;)
