  • Welcome to the Hang Gliding Chronicles. I am learning hang-gliding aerobatics over mountains, water, and beaches; with breath-taking twisting and turning maneuvers. Come hang-gliding in out of the way places; wilderness, national forests and boondocks USA. Enjoy the scenery and adventure, the art and science of riding the air currents and flying with the eagles!
This flight was on 9/06/18 near Morton Washington (Dog Mountain) in southwest Washington State. It was a fun flight of about 26 minutes. I attempted 7 loops, 6 of them were OK. At the end of the flight I had to descend and land because a strong wind was approaching over the water, as it does frequently in the evening at Dog. My heart was not into that last loop, I just wanted to quickly get on the ground before the turbulent wind reached the landing area.
I am a student learning hang-gliding aerobatics, not an instructor. Do not use this video as a guideline to learn aerobatic maneuvers! Many things are wrong with my technique in these loops. Learning hang-gliding aerobatics should only be done under the supervision of a hang-gliding aerobatics instructor!
