Educational and Very Entertaining ! I highly recommend you watch to the very end so you will see how "many-many many-...models this process will work for. Also, you'll get a great 'real world' view of his ceiling fan and meet his dog Ruby, who couldn't care less about helping him fix the vacuum. You will learn how to change the belt, AND, you'll have a few laughs ! I thought it was great !
@@stephenr3246 thank you!
Thanks a lot it was very instructive! It helped me to fix my own vacuum and avoid purchasing one new for my daughter's dog!!
Awesome i was having trouble with my exact same one u got. U explained it well. Now my vacuum is working again. Thanks again
I love your videos. I recently restored my Bissell 12B1 recently and it was the idea and inspiration to do it from you. Keep up the good work
Just bought this same vacuum at a thrift store. Wanted to know how to change the belt and your video was exactly what I needed. I appreciate the detail that you went into talking about the brush roller and the ball bearings. I have a question, to me it sounds like the roller is speeding up and slowing down as I vacuum. Could that also mean that I need to change the belt?
Correct! If the roller is slowing down its a sign that either the belt is slipping or the brushroll is locking up. If you can spin the roller freely by hand, it's just a belt. If the brush wont spin, you need to chnage both the belt and brush
@@IntellitechStudios Just changed the belt and the old one was about an inch longer than the new one, so the belt was the issue. Yes, the roller did spin freely. One other question, when I turn off the vacuum and the roller slows down to stop it is squeaking. Can I put some lubricating oil on the ball bearings or do I need to put it somewhere else? Didn't do this before, could it be the new belt? Any thoughts on what I need to do to resolve the squeak? Your video was such a big help when changing the belt. Also, wanted to mention that I enjoyed seeing your helper, Ruby. So cute. Love the ruby red harness too.
Thanks for the video. My girlfriend wanted to buy a new vacuum cleaner. The part number was on the belt making it easy to replace it.
Ruby is adorable! A very helpful video thankyou
Thanks for putting out this video! Unfortunately, we need it now. =(
Thanks! i honestly thought there was a motor i smoked LOL
Hi! I actually have a question and hoping you can help me out. I cannot find the proper size belt for my vacuum anywhere! I have the Bissell “Lift-off revolution pet” upright vacuum Model 3760-2. I haven’t been able to find any belts for 3760 so I’ve just tried a few different kinds and they’ve all been too big. Let me know if you can help, THANK YOU!
Here ya go!

Thank you for this video! You’re awesome.
Excellent video! Thank you for the information!
My Old Big Lots used to sell a physical PowerForce 1398R back in 2016
I have a 16N5K Bissell Vacuum. I have accidently vacuumed up a ribbon which is caught in the rollers. How do I get it out?
I'd recommend using the blade of a box cutter to cut the ribbon in half so you can pull it out
@@IntellitechStudios was quite wedged in there and couldn't pull it at all. Ive cut the ribbon as close as I can to the roller and will see if I can still use it as is.
Something happened to my Cleanview. Brought to my room for a test run post fixation. The brush roll struggled to turn then the machine had a horrible smell. Then the suction indicator kept flipping to green to a solid red. We were making sure the hose was still working. It gave up as well.
It basically took it's last breath...😩
Nice video. Love that 1398
Oh yeah I have found one on a dumbster today while I was taking out the garbage IT was compleatly wet the bag was wet, the hose was cloged up, the recline petal was broken, and the filters were wet I didn't taked IT I just looked at IT and I think the owner of the vacuum didn't taked care of it
I know replace belts and brushrolls their very easy to service
Vacuums And Carpet Cleaner Guy 😄😘
Try combing Ruby's hair and at least, can you try doing a pet hair test with the 1398 PowerForce? Because it's a pet hair vacuum, and try doing it with your 3522-5.
really helpful! Thank you so much!
Glad I could help :3
Good job buddy
do you always use Great value belts
Can you show us how to take off the caps off of the brushroll
@@Gatrests14 just use a small flat screw driver
Replacing belts are easy on vacuum cleaners, for Bissell's at least.
My model number is 3522, the original Bissell PowerForce, although I didn't get it yet XD
Nice video bro
Pet your dog is the most impotant step.
i have loud noise on shutdown. Bisel powerforce 6596
Model 3512-9. I don't see any screws.
If there's so screws, there should be a few plastic clips that need to be unclicked
