"Born Free" was another cut they recorded before this one and they took it to church. By the time that song ended all that was left was to give the benediction
Unbelievable! The Hesitations, from Cleveland Ohio, shown here in heavenly glory with the majestic version of the Impossible Dream! Their biggest hit came in 1968 with Born Free and unfortunately an accidental gun shot killed one member and the Hesitations stopped performing! Good news though, they have reunited and are performing currently!
Thankyou Robert....I was hoping someone would know something about this group? I did read that 'George ' King' Scott was accidently killed by a gun shot back in 1968 but who where the other members? more so performing in this clip?
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful footage of my grandfather. He's the gentleman singing lead vocals Leonard Veal. ❤❤❤❤
This group kills this song , one of the best versions I've ever heard !
Totally agree, brilliant version.... Listened to it many times now.... So smooth so cool
I was a teen at the time and all the guys around me loved the song. it brings back a lot of memories;

The Hesitations - George and Charles Scott, Fred Deal, Robert Sheppard, Arthur Blakely, Phillip Dorroh, and Leonard Veal.
I reembe rmy late Father with this song, I have already memorised this song even when I was still little girl haha
How well do I remember great song.
The brother at 1:14 kills it, this is a great 1-2 as both voices nicely compliment each other.

Grandpa Leonard ❤️❤️❤️
Wow
These guys are awesome and should've been A listers!
What a purler! The flipside of the single is good too. Nobody Kbows You When you're Down And Out. muchly under rated group.
John Lennon cover when you're down and out, hes a big R& B - Fan just listen to old School Beatles
Didn't know they had a tv appearance. The lead singer voice is a cross between David Ruffin and 'Sweet James Epps' from the Fantastic Four!
DeeNice681 actually, the fact that you even know about "Sweet James" is amazing to me, are you from Detroit?
The lead singer is my grandpa Leonard Veal ❤️
Wow ❤
