Thanks for this video. If it wasn't for you I would of sat here for 4 hours figuring out nothing. It works thanks
Same here as others, every time I google something for my mk4 I usually find your vids. There are others, but you always make it easy to understand. This one and the headliner vid especially simplify the thing, top man, thanks for your efforts in sharing these videos!
Thank you for your kind words
Super useful video! The handle bit (the part you first removed) just broke off recently when I was getting in my car. This video demonstrates exactly what I need to do to remove the rest of it and replace it.
Glad it helped!
thanks for posting this vid. It helped me remove my driver's door on my 2003 jetta Wolfsburg and staple the cloth covering back in place. I'm very mad at Volkswagen for using plastic melt rivets on the backside of the door insert where the cloth trim was. Also, the foam behind the cloth degrades over time as is a sticky mess.
Superb stuff - nice and clear. Seems like every time I search for how to do something on a Mk4, your vids come up!! Top man - thanks!
Defo the best at make the viewer understand exactly what to do
With zero waffling ⚡️
Every time I got a problem with the mk4 I search ur channel bro. No waffling and to the point, cheers. Window fell off the regulator ..
These videos are ace. I have a Mk1 vRS thats a bit ropey, your tutorials are helping me get it back to a safe condition. Thanks for that, its the little things that unless you see it being done I wouldn't really know where to start.
Love this channel still got my mk4 bora tdi 130 from back in the day just put a new clutch flywheel on it seems to pull better than ever. 480k still going strong fixed a leaky tandem pump too last year that had been letting a few drops a month go meant to do it ages ago been like that for 10+ years ! Never have worked out why it smokes a bit from start up on cold days . New battery seemed to help ? changed glow plugs still the same ? Maybe some oil in the intercooler its never been drained ? Only time its ever broken down was when the clutch pedal weld broke ( been beefed up now ) coolant pipe at back of engine split due to the diesel leak cut the end off to get me going ( them vw spring clips are murder cost me half a nipple when it pinged taking it of lol ) new pipe now told by vw last of them had to order from spain . Release more vids easy get 1 million subs ; )
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad to hear that you're enjoying our channel.
It's impressive that your MK4 Bora TDI 130 is still going strong with 480k on the clock! It's great to hear that you've been able to fix some of the issues that have cropped up, like the leaky tandem pump and clutch flywheel.
As for the smoking on cold days, there could be a few potential causes. It's possible that there's some oil in the intercooler, which could be contributing to the smoking. Another possibility is that the engine is running rich on start-up, which could be due to a faulty temperature sensor or injector. It's also worth checking the turbo for any signs of wear or damage.
In any case, it's always a good idea to address any smoking or unusual engine behavior to prevent potential issues down the road.
Thanks for the suggestion to release more videos! We'll certainly keep it in mind as we continue to create new content.
Thanks very much for your trouble in posting the video. It saves us chaps a lot of time figuring out how to do it. As soon as I am in mood I will try to sort out what is the problem with the electric door locks in my Mk4 TDi Estate. Cheers, JC

Would have been useful to see what the inside of the door looked like for a few seconds.
Yes indeed
couldve just froze the screen guys , stop being karens.....
@@junktime6076 There is no full clear frame of this view. I also needed to take a look if this is sufficient for me or do I need to go deeper
@@junktime6076 Half the door is obscured at the end though. It's also only 480p so hardly easily visible. It's a very useful video but cut off a few second too soon I think.
Excellent tutorial 👍🏻
Definitely worth watching this video 👌
It's really helpful 👍👍

Not yet, but I will put it on my to do list.
Thank you. I really thought the door card was two separate sections. Even the Bentley manual made it seem so. This all must be removed to replace the mirror.
Thanks for making these tutorials.
you are welcome
+BMAC VAGS you had the fuse box opened, do you remove a fuse before doing this or do u need to remove any fuse ?
no there is no need, electrical component ur taking loose is: the window controlls, just a plug. or just keep the car off contact.

Any chance doing a video on repair back door leaking door seals ? Please
Hi--very useful as my Mk4 Golf has the infamous wet driver side footwell issue ! ..Im told online this can be caused by a seal failure on the inner metal door panel liner--have you got a video that shows that bit..ie the bit after this video ?--thx again
Thanks man, you saved my day
Hi, do you have a video on how to change the lock/barrel assembly as I need to change the paddle.
I need to do this for the drivers door, and the rear right side door

Good video but how do you remove the panel on the passenger door? Is it just the 3 screws at the bottom and the one at the front higher up - surely there must be more to it than that?!

Still on the hunt for a video of mk4 door removal with all the wiring harness clips
Yoir vids are a godsend mate. I have taken my driver door card off to disconnect tue blown tweeter. When back on the handle pull has become very loose and only opens when fully pulled. Have i pulled the release cable from a clip or runner?

Damn good video! Now i can remove my door panel with ease!
Nice thanks for helping out very useful

Hello, i noticed the difference of the window down/up module thing on my car, mine is actually need the door handle on the inside itself.
Is there any difference on approach as to how i need to get those of? there doesnt seem to be a nut or something on it(the module).
Also i want tot thank u for the simple steps on removing the mirrors and such since i had to replace the M3 look mirrors for stock ones i had from a earlier golf (still MKIV).
Cheers mate.
Send me a reply video so I can see what you mean
will try.
I'm assuming this will work for the MK4 Jetta/Bora too? Also could I use this to fix my door that won't open from the inside? I'm guessing that theres a cable or something loose?
the pulling off part is tricky. I have Broke those clamps.
Nice colour mate, same as mine!
