  • Hey guys! Sorry for being pretty absent recently! I want to get back to trying to post at least once per week- no promises though haha. In this video, I show you how to throw in sectional forms to create taller pieces as well as making lamp bases.

I agree. Starting with a shade makes throwing the base a lot easier. I love what you came up with!

Wooowww, I mean it's so cool!!! I'm just about to make my very first ceramic lamp and your video is so helpful & inspirational!! Love how your lamps turned out! I do not have a kiln, so I'm going to make a handbuilt lamp and I'm so excited about that! Now I just have to find a right lamp cord! Already looking forward to see more of your vids, keep going with your great work!!

They turned out so well! This video was very helpful - thank you for recording each step. Couple questions, how did you know how narrow/wide to throw the next of the lamp, or did the exact diameter not matter because of the cork insert? Did you buy your lamp kit before or after designing and throwing your lamps?

@@cosmic.clayco Sweet technique. You totally inspired me to throw a lamp this weekend. Tried most of the day to throw it in one piece- - not sure why I even attempted 😂😂 Tomorrow trying it this way.
