In the remake, I would like more beautiful graphics, the game itself is fine as the core!
1. I want improved graphics, remove soap, increase detail, more modern zombies.
2. Just bring the game to the look of a modern game.
Still nothing but love for Tymon.
I remember seeing the first roadmap and thinking about how huge the agent and bounties would be for an update back when we were starved for actual content crazy seeing how far this game has come with its updates in the past 2 years W techland devs

In my eyes, nothing could be more important and add more to the overall atmosphere than proper dynamic flashlight shadows. For me and all my friends was it the biggest letdown after DL1..

Hey Should be proud cuz all the effort they put and make the game so much better is a big thing mostly developers just abandon their messed up games

Nightmare mode was definitely a way to push us max lvl to our limits, we are back to being the hunted and even glitched weapons are having to 2 shot tyrants now, so definitely harder than before.
Im kinda confused about the flashlight because in old clips the flashlight was perfect before launch but they changed it last minutes, but i will trust the process and see what they do
probably for the sake of optimization, i mean the retail game right now is still not that best with optimization and look at the old clips you can already see it's look way better and look more gritty. If what tymon say in this interview is true, probably they have to redo the whole lighting system of dying light 2 just to make it run better but not noticeable enough that players can see which also affect the flashlight.
@@hoanghung5542 yeah, what I was thinking is making it an optional setting like they did with parkour and stamina have 2 different style of flashlights, one having inertia, a shorter cone, and shadows the other being the retail one, so that people with low optimized settings can use the retail while others like ps5 and pc can use the other
its because the e3 was built on dl1's engine which had better lighting

I’m such a huge fan of dying light I sunk so many hours into the first game. Got the second game at launch and I’ll be honest I did like it, but it was rough and I mean not right now though the game is a night and day difference now absolutely love it.
I’m glad they continue to support the game.
I think they might be making a different IP next but I really hope their next game is Dying Light 3. There’s so much they could learn now from these 2 entries.
I would like a remake of the first game with the gameplay of Dying Light 2. I want to block and counter and fatalities.

Honestly I would love to see an expanded skill tree. Many of the skills were in the first game and there’s so much potential. Extra finishers, gun finishers. Arrows pin enemies to the wall or floor. Wingsuit. A revival of the survival skill tree.
A better option would be to remake DL1 if they do plan on recreating it. If they transform it to what Capcom did with Resident Evil 2, I am sure it can't go wrong

I really hope they overhaul the skyboxes. I mean come on, even games from 2009 had convincing or real time day/night cycles.

I think it’s definitely time for more weapon slots. Maybe another two slots would be good, feels like you can’t carry much considering all the options we have. I’ve usually got a gun a bow and two melee weapons, feels very inconvenient to always have to go the menu to switch them around.
In the new cutscene where you have to run through the mall at the end of the story. The flashlight in that cutscene looks so good. It has glow and shadows, and it looks like an actual flashlight. Too bad you only see it for like 3 seconds.

Because it's been like that since e3 lol the textures are the same quality. And also if you don't want the game to look like a cartoon play in 4k instead of a ps4

@@sheeshshawty7213I agree. I personally think that the game is perfectly fine the way it is. The game isn't old enough nor outdated enough to justify a remaster, let alone a remake.
I want 2 see in game story a warehouse 2 loot but on the ceiling there would be a special infected that hang from the ceiling and drop onto U and can cling 2 walls now that would be kool 2 see in Dyinglight 2.

I always wondered what happened to the Dying Light team. Because the people who made Dying Light are definitely not the same that made Dying light 2. Dying light, although the graphics have aged, rather looks realistic in a natural way. Meaning it doesn't has a distinct artistic handwriting. Dying light 2 although looks good. Has a cartoony flair.
Dying Light 1 being remastered? I would be ecstatic about that. Done right.
I wouldn't mind if they remade Dying Light and gave it more missions. Add branching storyline like they initially planned. I think that'd create genuine incentives to buy the remake.
I think remaster dyinglight 1 with the graphics would be amazing and refreshing the btz and some buggs and optimization removing the loading time in new gen consoles snd make both map easy to move between and add a anit cheat for it's pvp or they can bring bad blood to consoles

when the game first came out it look and felt, played like cyberpunk 2077, but like cp2077, it's getting better
Cp2077 plays like a bathtub, DL2 is one of the best playing games ever made

I don’t think the nights are necessarily “too difficult”, to me the most annoying thing about nights is that volatiles are absolutely everywhere, they are constantly dragged to your position whatever you do, they respawn almost immediately and 99% of the time you can’t kill one without triggering a chase
So there is zero night exploration, nights and days don’t work together well like in the first game
In DL2 nights feel more like a separated mode where the point us just to trigger chases 😕
The nights need a serious (again lmao) overhaul I agree. It's just a mess.

Actually I posted this just before the last patch dropped, and they pretty much fixed most of what I complained about 👌
There are far less volatiles now, and if you’re fast/strong enough, you can kill one without triggering a chase
So it’s much much better now
I really didn’t like Blood and Ties and I really hope they do something completely different for DLC 2
And please add chainsaws and nunchucks
If they end up remastering DL1, I'd love an overhaul in the skill trees and combat. The parkour felt almost flawless, but some of the skills felt lackluster and the combat, majority of the time, was a little boring
On a remaster I would want haptics for ps5 and better graphics….
About remastering or remakeing DL1 in not needed because the game still holds up ,but I think in far future would make since but not now. Personally I would love having a spin off DL game over a remake/remastere of the first

I will asnwer for him "yes it is worth the work to fix the flashlight lighting and shadows" I mean DL1 has a better flashlight.
DL1 is a fraction of the size, not to mention a much smaller game technically, the it's sequel.
19:45 bring back the dying light 2 that you showed us. Even if you don't, let us at least have the parkour just like the E3 version, please 🥺
E3 2019 was 5 years ago and the last E3 was 3 years ago. That demo is never coming back. The DL2 we have now is something to be grateful for. The amount of time and resources that have went into crafting this experience into something almost completely different from when it was released is stunning. We've got it good with what we have, friend.
@@slurpy4385 I completely disagree with you, What they showed us back in 2018 and 2019 is something that all dying light fans could have hoped for, the E3 demo that was showed to us is a masterpiece with good voice acting, graphics, details, gritty Post-Apocalypse, the amount of resource and money got into the E3 demo they might as well have left it but instead they wasted money and lied to us, it's just another cyberpunk
@natbug3891 how can you disagree? You're being ungrateful for all the work that's went into the project. The guy who did all the story work for the old demos got fired for harassing women in the workplace, so they removed all his work. If you knew that, you'd understand, and you'd stop complaining about trailers from 5 years ago.
@@slurpy4385 I disagreed because that is my opinion. I'm fully aware about what happened with Chris Avellone, but techland should have just kept it the way it was in 2019 demo, because every video I've watched has said the Same thing about DY2, you just don't understand.

Don’t be so dense, everyone filmed their interviews on the same day and released all within the same 24 hours or so

Only one question missing: Why did you decide to throw the whole elysium part and the e3 art direction away? Okay.. maybe two.. Why is it so difficult to implement proper flashlight shadows, when the whole thing is already in the game, when you switch to photo mode? 🤔😩🥱😏

Tymon stated that the flashlight they use for dl2 is wayyyy different and complex it’s possible but it’s gonna take some time
