Hello rikki i wish i could afford to bring you to australia i would love to meet you
Hey rikki random question do your cats have cat friends that they go and have sleepovers with
They do not.
@@rikkipoynter oh ok i guess their best friend is you
@@rikkipoynter ok i guess your cats best friend is you
I can relate to the clothing issue. I'm autistic and I can't wear tight clothing or anything that feels scratchy or stiff or makes noise when you walk or basically anything that feels weird on me. I also won't wear dresses or skirts.
I've gotten to where to like to buy long tunics that flare a little at the bottom and cover my hips. They kinda look like the mini dresses from the 60's. But I always wear pants or leggings with them.
I also have chronic pain and I can relate to everything you said! I never gave it a lot of thought before, but undressing is definitely more painful than dressing....at least the top half.
OOf I feel u at the tight sports bras thing like i'm trans n I bind my chest and it's pAINful lmao
Also uGH SAME I hate dresses, like I love looking at them n being like "wow!! this is a very pretty garment of clothing!! I would rather not wear it" haha
but anyway yea hearing your perspective on fashion + disability is rlly interesting to me bc I hadn't really thought about it besides in terms of sensory issues & wheelchair users so I'm glad you made this and brought awareness to this! 💕
Thanks for watching, Nikolas! I appreciate that! I'm imagining that binding material is different than bra material?
Yeah, it’s a little more...restrictive on the inside and stretchy on the outside. It’s hell getting out when you’re sweaty.
Owie.
@@rikkipoynter I googled it, apparently the outside part is the same material as sports bras, but the inside that does the actual binding is nylon :)
@Ig-nat-ius I didnt know shapeshifters did custom binders for disabilities! That's awesome!
I feel the same with dresses. I've never felt comfortable in them. I don't think they work with my body and personality.
Such a bummer sometimes.
I have never felt comfortable in a dress. It's not a gender thing for me, I just feel as though I am wearing a costume if I try to wear a dress.
I like loose-fitting leggings and t-shirts.
Maybe yank on a sweater when I am cold.
I don't really care if anyone thinks I look wonderful. I am comfortable like this.
Is someone else totally gay for Rikki? Cos I sure am😶🙂🔥
Wow! You are so so so gorgeous!
I relate so much to this! When I was graduating from high school, I wanted to wear pants and a long-sleeved blouse to the ceremony, but my school said girls have to wear dresses and boys are the only ones who can wear pants. The pants and shirt I had picked out were really dressy, so I was understandably upset and actually ran out of the gym crying when they announced we couldn’t wear pants. My social worker had to talk to them behind the scenes to get them to let me wear pants. It was awful.
I also prefer just wearing casual t-shirts and jeans or shorts. I’ve only recently become more comfortable with skirts and dresses again. There was a long period where I hated wearing them.
I love your videos!
Thanks, Angie!
Yes, in term of disability I detest use it every time when asked and it is only way to put a muzzle to them as to "there you go" as in hope they'll go away but sometimes they get persist to know, I was like, "Hello!! I am not Google, go Google yourselves!"
I sometimes tend to get confused about my gender because it is a big world out there to explore the type of people who are open to themselves so eventually it has led me to the point of understanding myself about my gender until Nyle DiMarco mentioned "sexual fluidity" it got my attention and then I knew anyhow I'm kind of toward bisexuality, I mean I like both.
Fashion is quite a confusing if you'll say. I am more of "rugged jean" guy with t-shirt that comes with lot of controversies on it to get public attention on vary of issues we face nowadays and yikes, it is a big messed up illusion out there and I look for the "greenery" in my perception away from "gloomy" and "concrete-like places w/o colors" environment. I am trying to aim for peaceable and secularism touch to everything flourish caring and habitable for all to live together, well...that's a long, long way BUT what to do with your vote? Go vote, my friend because it matters to our sanity if you'll say. Cheers, Rikki
I took part in early voting a few days ago! :D
Rikki...just wondering what you think...I am disabled by law in the U.K but, I just don’t identify with it so I don’t use the term but people are so offended! I’m not ashamed to have a disability but, I just prefer to say I have chronic health issues!
Love your vids...🌺💕
I actually made a video about this a few days ago! ua-cam.com/video/mrDm3WDgQao/v-deo.html
Also, thank you! I appreciate that.
Rikki Poynter annnnnndddd off I go to the vid! 💕🙋🏻♀️ Thank You & you’re so welcome 🌺
Enjoy!
When it comes to fashion, I rarely wear t-shirts. I often wear v-line tops that has the waist hugging just below my breasts but stretchable. Then the rest to my hips is more wide. It is so comfortable and fashionable so I don’t have to wear t-shirts. If you are looking for something like that, try it. I tend to shop these styles at kohl and jcpenny.
Your always beautiful in everything you wear your beautiful in every way love you Rikki
Thanks, Liam!
Summarized disabilities: Mental illness, chronic pain, digestive issues, sensory issues as in four out of my five senses don’t work well
Gender: Agender they/them. I lean a little to feminine but mostly I’m agender
Fashion: I like lolita fashion. Bright colors.
The dresses part is soo relatable 😃😃
Pesky dresses!
As a feminine woman (not hyper femme, but still pretty feminine), I was really disappointed when I started having chronic pain. Suddenly, skinny jeans, leggings, and form-fitting tops really hurt (and still do). I've found things that help with the pain and have since changed my style a bit to sweatpants, flared bottom jeans (those still hurt a lot of the time, though, so it's mainly just sweatpants), and comfy form-ish fitting shirts. Like you, Rikki, I've always had a small chest and it's nice to be able to take my bra off if it's too uncomfortable. Might have to cover up with a jacket or sweatshirt if I'm seeing people and revelling a bit too much, but oh well. I've learned to like my new look and have accepted that if something's hurting me, then I'll just have to look cute a different way that day 🤷.
We shall still be cute, Jessica!
For shoes, maybe look into "barefoot shoes" like Vevo? They're flexible with thin soles and a wide toe box

where is the cat t-shirt from? I love it ..💕

Lol XD any alternative peeps out their?
Hahaha! I should have clarified and meant my own days, but you know :P My friend has that same style still :P
Rikki Poynter XD omg u replyed to me lol i feel so special 😝
Just wondering what is your favorite Pokemon character?
Pikachu, Eevee, and Growlithe
@@rikkipoynter thanks!!! 😀
If you could not be deaf for a day, what would you want to hear first? (This is just out of curiosity I am not trying to offend you)
I did not know/remember you had chronic pain so reading the title was very confusing to me. It honestly really does make sense for girls to wear guys' clothes purely out of comfort especially when it causes you physical discomfort to take things off at the end of the day.
I totally thought all the cats in your shirt were playing with yarn. 😆😆
EDIBLE YARN WITH CHOPSTICKS
@@rikkipoynterI honestly don't see a difference. 😂😂

Why so few videos that aren't based on discussions, Your disability, and yeah just.. you seem like a cool person, dont get me wrong, but it's getting way to negative for my liking and getting a bit repetitive.
Just feel like you are a lot more... if that's a better way to describe it. Still gonna leave a like, but yeah.
Because my "brand" on this channel is deafness/disability, accessibility, mental health, and child abuse awareness. More personal videos don't do well on my channel. Branching out has never worked out in my or my channel's favor. If people engaged more on my "off brand" content, then there would be more of that. But there unfortunately isn't. Also, it's Disability Awareness Month, so I'm gonna bring the disability videos since it's just that time. And talking about the clothes I wear isn't really negative.. and I don't recall ever talking about my fashion.
I'm open for video requests, but at the end of the day, if the people who request it don't engage in it, then it's likely not gonna really get done again unless it's for Vlogmas which is a more laid back month of content.
After two voting + accessibility videos in November, I planned to do more personal content and see how it works for the channel, but if it follows the same pattern, then that's just how it is. So I encourage you to be an hope that you will be engaged in that content when it goes up!
@@rikkipoynter yeah ofcourse I will, and I'm not trying to silence you people with disabilities, hope you know that, I got a deep respect for people dealing with disabilities. Take care Rikki, have a great day :)
Not a problem! You too, Sammy!
