I feel like the map could be made a little smaller seeing as you're using melee and not guns and the maps designed for guns. Cool game mode though
Only takes about 20 seconds to travel from one side to the other, I think the scale is just about perfect already
@@Stouty It's probably an issue of being too spare and resulting in a illusion of massively empty space

The biggest problem I see with the game mode right now is that there is really no reason to defend the sites at all. Especially after the initial rush/fights the defenders just run to the attackers spawn and wait for them.

a pre-round armory would be so sick. id love to see this fully implemented
Destralna yeah being able to buy a bow or crossbow can make a huge difference in defending or offending a point

This is awesome and is the kind of thing Mordhau needed from the beginning. No major esport has its competitive mode not be the primary 'competitive' mode that the entire player base plays and can see progress in via a ranking system. The best Mordhau can hope for is the TF2 scene. Maybe a Mordhau 2 will catch on

I think defense could be a little broken because they can just camp the return point for the shields
but if they do that and they lose the 5v5 and even only one attacker lives then the attack scores all the shields they brought

Also, I'm really into these own made gamemodes. These will keep the game alive on the long run.
Some kind of capture the flag could also be cool. Or games with multiple win-conditions, allowing for all kinds of chaos.
Would be cool if a purchase system for wep/armor was added at base like those in Horde to actually simulate a CSGO match with the equipment carrying on to next round if you survive. I'm not a programer so I'm not sure if it's doable but damn it would be cool.
Surely light build would be best meta for attacking team. Amazing gamemode tho, would be great for Mordhau

This really makes me remember the old counter strike and look at CSGO now. If mordhau follow CS's footstep with moddings and infinite creativity like this, we can make mordhau greater than ever.
This is brilliant (and so obvious in retrospect) and should be an official gamemode.
Looks interesting, i played a gun game mode where you had to progress through all the weapons and that shit was fun.

Might as well throw out some ideas, I like the gamemode I think it's cool but probably not the most entertaining to watch or play repeatably.
I haven't put too much thought into it but whatever.
So one of the main adjustments I'd make would be to remove the game timer and have the game end when there are no attackers left, to compliment this idea, an addition I'd make is that the attackers can choose to bring back a teammate with a sacrifice of a gold bag, this is a risk vs reward mechanic.
Reward: The attackers bring back another player - another play who can fight and get more gold bags, this could give the attackers the chance to snowball and get even more bags(more points).
Risk: The risk being that if it fails and the defenders overcome it, they effectively punish the use of a respawn, you'd lose a point.
The teams switch sides as you'd expect, the winning team would be the team that got the most bags.

I want to know, what people think of dogde in ranked, I mean the ability using jump to do a quick step backward. People say it's cheating but come on why is it in the game then? tell me about it. thanks

I think the best strat for defenders would be to just camp the drop-off location, so you wouldn't have to guess what site the attackers chose. You also get the benefit of engaging the enemy at a 5v5 situation.

@@Stouty I see. I think the map maker has to make sure that the distance from left border of the drop-pff to the right is greater than, say, from site A to B in order to not make it as exploitable.

It is cool that he made Dust 2, but in future it would be cool to see it on maps that are much smaller. Dust 2 was designed with the gun sight lines in mind. It feels way too slow to rotate and just odd for melee

I like how the facecam doesnt fit properly to the frame and we see only half of your face, it gives it all a nice "shitposty" feel, which is good (no sarcasm)

I don't get it. How does the attacking team win?
Also, carrying gold should make you slower. If you're out of enemy chase range, they have no way of catching you. I also feel like camping the attacking spawn is going to be 60% of the game. The spawn should be out of bounds for the defenders. That way they would have to split up to camp A and B entrances if they want to camp spawn instead of just standing where they place the pavise.
Actually pavise impacts speed quite a bit lmao...
Also there is no win condition. Its just who can get the most bags.

@@Stouty Well first off what I brainstorm in my head might not even be feasible so you'll have to take what I think with a handful of salt lol. But when I thought this up in my own head it was more a direct comparison to cs. I'm sure the modders could make a bomb with a plant and defuse times. A real buy menu would be cool, and instead of a knife round you could do a fist round. Setting it up so you actually have to build an economy for weapons. Again I have no real idea what is and isn't possible with modding in mordhau (never tried). If you'd be interested I could draw up some rough drafts of how I think weapons would be priced and valued compared to cs go.

@@peasanttoking6839 1. Bomb plants wouldn't work as it would result in each round being a team fight (same as SKM so not worth doing)
2. Fist round/pistol rounds aren't great in CS so taking the opportunity to remove them in Mordhau was an easy choice
3. Having a fully functioning UI for economy etc would be great but I suspect only with the devs help could this be feasible, I'm not pitching for a modder to complete this but for the devs to make this into a real mode for matchmaking
@@Stouty whaaat some of my favorite moments have been from pistol rounds lol. And I'm not sure about number 2. I would assume that it would work in the same fashion as normal counter strike: teams fight for an advantage until they open a site up. Since you're playing dust 2 for example, it was instinctual for the blue team to send 2 people to B because it makes the most sense, you wouldn't send your whole team to just one bomb site. And yeah I kinda figured that with number 3. making games isn't easy.
