The thing is though, in a real fight combos would make no fucking sense. They should do something about ripostes though.
what do you mean they are riposting all the time, riposte are almost too strong actually, completely unreadable, which is why they chamber so much.

they honestly need to rework the whole system
For anyone who thinks ripostes and combos are bad, they aren't working because you aren't setting them up. A riposte accel is crazy fast. Its setup by dragging, waiting half a second after blocking to attack, and feinting. These delayed attacks get them used to having to block delayed attacks, and the riposte accel breaks this pattern. It's kinda corny but this games similar to any combat sport (other than the fact you could be a fat fuck) in that you gotta set up patterns, break those patterns, and mix it up.
Feinting before you start the 2nd attack of a combo is a good way to catch them. once they realize you're feinting before the 2nd attack, dont feint and youll hit them

It is busted. It is unreadable. So Frank didn't read it = he gambled it.
Not saying it's bad though. Knowing when to gamble is a point of mindgames and a distinct skill.

@@drkcrstl 27 swing damage is too low to be OP. At the high level duels players are extremelly good in defend so each landed hit costs u A LOT to do, and when u succeded with drag or accel it do only 27 damage so u need 3 more of those "expensive" lucky strikes... Compare with other true meta weapons: GS and execut sword, easy drags, good accels, two hits and its done... Bastard is good but definetelly not OP

we did get along (and still do to an extent) but he turned his back on the competitive scene that paved the foundation for Mordhau and its success

No it's True, Frise didn't have a chance to back the alpha so i sold him one of my 5 alpha keys for $60. Glad to see he made use of it, ive only had a chance to play mordhau a few times in the last few years.

Some of the drags from bob/frank that you guys caught on time were bloody insane, i have no idea how you can react so perfectly, i see their sword making some weird ass movement above their head and instantly panic lol

Bob and frank where defenetly weaker then you in this match, but they still played really good they got you good in some rounds even more in the last vid, also having rise as a teammate seems amazing and having him as an enemy is a nightmare ^^

Because I’m sad, I went through this and the last video of the 2v2’s..
He lost 9/12 meaning just under half.. 40% of the time he lost his duel. He can say it’s a gamble, or a bad day, or a ‘feint spammer’ but ultimately he’s wrong. They are on his level and he needs to get out his own arse.

I mean, maybe they should make tournaments that limit your weapons? He's using a weapon in the game and yes it is hard to read and they need to fix the animations for it but I've won against bastard sword wielders many times by keeping distance. They lost a few rounds as well. If the other team were more skilled in their weapons then all they needed was good mentality, awareness, and synergy.

Was Rise a keen Chiv: Med Warfare player before moving to Mordhau? I recognise the name from donkeys' years ago, wondered if it was the same chap
He was in CMW competitively yes, he was also extremely good at the game. Played with Giru and the likes prior to him quitting the game, he moved on to competitive overwatch for a while if i remember right and got into an actual team.
@@joshgeee5111 I did have a feeling it was the same person! Knew him quite well from around duelling servers, and was privileged enough to be allowed to practice on his team at the time's own server.
Of course, I was nowhere near on the same level, but I definitely remember how immensely passionate he was about the competitive community of Chiv at the time. I'm super glad to see that it has transferred so well over to Mordhau
@@crazyfishmonster459 Coming from competitive scene personally (I quit playing Mordhau as i disliked the way the game went, more in terms of duelling which i find much more boring) gave an edge in the beginning, I could destroy average players with 3x my hours by just using basic chiv playstyle, caveman RMB, lmb/stab punishes, and I was pretty average at chiv comp at best, game is interesting to watch though.
