This hits different when you're about to be homeless
Its all about keeping a positive mindset through the process. You're going through an experience, and that experience doesn't define you or make you less of a person. Use this time to learn, grow, connect with yourself and nature. You'll come out of it appreciating having gone through it. Much love friend
How are things for you??

I do not see a homeless man, I see a minimalist.. Love the life.
Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you will be saved. John 3:16 (share the good news of the gospel around the world!).........,,,..,...,.,,,,., .,,.. ,,,,
That's not a complement... Some people aren't living like this because it's a trendy lifestyle.
@@zfouleur2904 he’s talking about the person in the video not other people in poor circumstances
do you live as a homeless person
I don’t love it and I’m at peace with realizing that. If God helps me get back, it’s a blessing. It’s God’s decision.
Hi man. I can give you a few suggestions regarding tent life: I usually cover up the tent with a green tarp in summer, and a white one in winter to insulate the tent. Items I had when I was a tent person, was a camp bed, an inflatable mattress, an ordinary sleeping bag for covering the mattress, and a -50°C sleeping bags, and a foam pillow. I suggest you camp away from beatened paths, because some jerks can destroy your installations. I had two bikes, a green one for summer time, and a white mountain bike for winter, with a baby carriage to hook up and bring things to the camp. I also made myself a lance with a big kitchen knife on a perch ( an old rake handle in my case ) for protection. I also had an axe to chop some fire wood, and I had made myself a covered fireplace with rocks and argile with moss, in order to hide the glare from on passers. It's like you never know. You need the place to stay secret otherwise, you might come back to see that all is gone, or burnt, or whatever. Some people are plain STUPID.
You don't want me rooting through your shit... best not leave it in public areas.
I once had to drop a homeless because he got uppity with me. By the time I let him crawl away, he knew his place.
@@phoenixrivenus9270You're pathetic 😮
That's so bad some people are such fuckwads
EVIL is the word.......
@larryclark9920 mine was a bar fight. But I knew he was homeless. Still should have kept his mouth shut. Never stolen anything from anyone. But I've looked through camps if on public lands, not a campground.
I wish I could live like that. I'm sick of living among people.
Tbh once we got everything set it like this, it hasn't been so bad. In the beginning it was horrible, and we still worry about other people finding us, but its pretty chill and free. 🥰
Just asking why you would say this cause im feeling same but im sure for other reasons than you but then again maybe not lol ?????
@Nova snow Same, but not for long though. I feel like I'm playing Mario and the time is running out. She don't even want me here anyways. I'll be back on the streets again soon
@Nova snow its okay....everyone must do what is necessary to survive
@Nova snow i hate jobs because you have to get permission from other other people for when you can eat, sit down, and other people control your work schedule... this is wil the only work i do is deliver food from my vehicle. i used to teach English online to Chinese children but after about i year i quit that because i hate getting up out of my bed at 2 am
Years ago I found myself homeless I had a choice it was either a city park bench or a camp in the woods I chose to go camping I found many ways to survive by thinking things through and coming up with a solution for any problems I had to deal with a good example was when winter was right around the corner I needed to find a way to heat my tent and insulate it better so after giving it some thought I found a solution I went on a scavenger hunt in the woods around me and I got lucky thrown over a hill from times gone by was a few iron pipes along with other junk the iron pipes happened to be exactly what I needed to heat my tent I already had a shallow fire pit about 6 ft from my tent so I dug some shallow trenches from the fire pit to underneath the tent floor after laying the iron pipes in the trenches I covered it up with river pebbles when there's a fire in the fire pit it heats the iron pipes up and then I was getting radiant heat through my tent floor I covered the outside of the tent with sleeping bags and tarps which I supported with ropes I was always toasty warm in the winter time I never had a cold night or day this is just one example of a way I found to survive but there were many other ways I came up with to survive
Thats wicked smart. We just used propane lanterns. We had jobs so luckily we were able to buy things we needed. During winter wed go as far as boiling water and putting in glass bottles, put them in our blankets at night when the lights went off
I would love advice from you!
How i look at is I could never be homeless in the woods for the woods is my home
This is now a legendary quote
This is good, I vibe with this, livin in the woods is good for the soul, don't matter if you only got a tent or if you got a shack or cabin, we are connected with nature, Shalom brother
Why live in a $300000 house when you can live under a $14.5 million Bridge....

@@billrogers3139 bruh 🤣
I assure you trees and plants are conscious. Some actually found out that they communicate through their roots with others trees. They made a documentary about it. It's sad that so many people think that nature is dead...
I’ll be in the same situation soon. For the woods is my home.
I love this❤️ I’m a young man like you working in the food service industry also. The town I live in is small but there is a lot of forest area and trails. I live in my car or tent while working in the spring and summer. I used to rent, but honestly the thought of knowing that your landlord has all the say and power sucks. He was always watching me. I need to feel free and sometimes living this way is the only way to be free.
👍👍
Thanks for sharing.
Honestly have no problem living in my car just wish there was some woods I can go hideaway in, without being bothered by park ranger, cops or hooligans
If you are sick and have to have surgeries and stay in the hospital, I guess you expect to have everything paid for by hard-working U.S. taxpayers??? How about when you get old, what then??? I am 70 years old and it seems like yesterday I was twenty years old!!

Heres a tip on the cooler. When I was in the Army, We would burry our cool we kept in our tent up to the lid. Then cover the lid with two sand bags. Works really well. Extended the ice and when the ice melted it still maintained the cool a bit longer. I guess you could call it a poor mans Yeti. enjoyed your video.

Yesterday, while exploring my woods, a tree near my camp offered me a dead branch and then introduced himself as “Grandpa”. I can’t explain it. It just happened. I made a video but left that part out because it felt so personal.
Stop smoking crack😂
I lived in the woods for 2 and a half years I built a small cabin with a stone fireplace it doubled as my heat and how I cooked my food I hunted with a bow with money I earned from little side jobs but after 2 and a half years I met a woman one day walking to Walmart and long story short she's now my wife and I work for her dad online.
I used to spend time teaching homeless in the city how to survive and stay warm, but always wondered why they don’t embrace it, leave the cities and find freedom in nature. It is now how I live today. Part time off the grid. No power, shower in the rain, started with a tarp shelter… I have some fancy things but live simply. Love it.
You are not homeless, you got a roof above your head and you can survive on your own in the solitude with all those gadgets around yourself. You choose to live like this because of reasons, that is fine, everybody has a story. But the way how I see it, you are not homeless, but you are not a slave to the system, you are enjoying true freedom! And you have plans with your whole setup, the future and further development.
Hope the winters will be gentle with you.
PS: I wonder who edits your videos or is that easy to do with a smartphone?
A guy I met on the internet edits for me! They have a channel called public access and chill if you want to check them out. They have been a huge help
But some smart phones do allow for editing

Cool!
This is interesting AND wholesome.
Getting some more things together and leaving the big city at the end of spring to do the same.
From the Great Southern Land Down Under. Young man you are quite impressive. You have the same attitude that the early pioneers in the Aussie outback had. You make do with what you've got. Well done, very well done. Royce.
I really wish people lived much longer lives. Lives long enough that 10 years of life like this in the wilderness would seem insignificant. It would really help everyone appreciate the world, life, and fellow humans a lot more
I fully agree 🥰
You have helped me out by far on supplies for tent living. I'm currently in central Wisconsin, in the woods. In a city, not country. Supplies are quite scarce at the moment. Good news job interviews coming up next, looking forward to it. Found a good neck of the wood in a city.
Don't let my surroundings fool you. I was close to civilization too. You'll make it through bud i promise. Stay positive ✨️ it'll pass

Been doing it for a long time. You learn to love it. Just not the rain and cold.
I've been homeless since 2020. And you're very correct about to hygiene, because without hygiene you got a mental status that's what I've noticed. I live in my truck trying to figure my way out of this. But I'm sober-minded and clear-eyed and I'm not a zombie. That's what I call, guarantee you views I have a scavenger hunt they would find what you have to offer. Right now I'm thinking about going to the national Forest and camping for the winter, I don't think this truck will be very comfortable today without a blower motor. And I'm not going to put no more money in this truck.
Thats the biggest problem that gives the homeless a bad name is all the garbage and furniture laying around most dont care and make our streets and woods look like landfills much respect brother keeping trash picked up and taking care of hope things work out for you
Bamboo is invasive. Please dont plant in the ground

You can still have hot water for your shower mate, boil up a few litres of water, tip it in a container that wont melt then slowly tip in your normal water feel for the right Temperature that suits you, and you will have a nice shower in winter time.I am 41years old and have been washing like this in the winter time here in Australia since I was a kid.
That’s awesome! I live next door to 50 acres of woods and I do the same thing. The only time I don’t go is during hunting season because people trespass.
We probably will still end up taking camping trips ourselves, can't beat it
If you don't own the land beneath your feet, how do they trespass?
You can set up a catchment system with a tarp..

@@WindsongSoundBath I'm from the Boston area, and inside the cities are very rough going for the homeless population. Tons of drugs, mental health problems, theft amongst campers, etc etc. So I deff suggest staying out of the main cities. How did you pick the spots in the wood?
Trial and error
Find somewhere secluded and away from trails yet close enough to the things you need from civilization.
Yo, for refrigeration, try a zeer pot! I'm about to make one in a couple weeks.
I did this for a whole winter in NJ , and than the following summer in NY and it was definitely a lot of ups and downs during that time. The winter is obviously rough being outside for months at a time but it taught me alot.
How can you be there so many days and nobody kick you out? Is rare...
I love the woods was raised like that as a kid lol
How far from public roads is your setup? How far away is your setup from the trail? Anyone ever find you there or mess with your stuff?
Woo your garden is sickk
Dig a pond for your ducks and stock it with fish then you got duck eggs and fish on hand. Stock with minows shad, bluegill, and bass, and some cleaning species like cat fish or fish that eat algae.
Yoooo i gotta show you the tiktok where i did just that. I dug them a pond and literally hauled back like 50 gallons of water. I stocked it with little feeder fish from the pet store tho

It's cool wat u r doing, very impressive
Apart from other items if you can get them for survival, always get a tick remover, there affordable from any pet store or eBay etc, ticks can cause lupus and other serious health problems!
Very good advice! We had some close calls with ticks, we'd find them but not latched or full, the mosquitoes were the worst, and one time I got a spider bite that was horrid. Bugs are for sure not to scoff at!
Yes tics can carry Lyme disease another reason to thank gain of function research
I know this is old but be careful planting bamboo into the ground, theres certain types that are invasive.. and usually they arent labeled correctly
Mother Earth is our home. The government is horrendous
Living almost like me but I lived in a car and worked DoorDash and showered every two weeks because I still had to live in the city area and didn't have a tent or anything so it was storage unit and shower in the unit before it closed at night. Showers were Iso-Alcohol 90% and a cloth to wipe down. When I needed a bed because my feet would swell or I'd get sick and could work.... I stayed in a hotel for 50 dollars to 60 dollars per night for two nights out of two week intervals....showered, worked from that location, and washed clothing. The better option would be to get a gym membership, easier done back in 2018 - 2019... there were less homeless people using that tactic. After the illness there are a lot more people using that gym tactic to get by and its become a lot harder to get a gym membership. In my location, they want to know more about your background so as to make sure you aren't homeless and seeking a bath at their locations because the rich people will complain. Oh well...
Oh wow I didn't know that about the gyms these days. That's really disappointing to hear 😪
I'm about to be made homeless for the first time. I'm 53 and have several health issues. To say I'm not looking forward to it is an understatement.
