- Today we're listening to a Warframe theme for the first time in the history of this channel! This one is the highly requested Murum Vull and I have no idea what it is about, but I think I was able to get a few clues from the music itself...

Obligatory "This is What You Are" listening.
Thank you for the suggestion!
Yeah that is *the* warframe song besides "Lift Together"
Same for "Sleeping in the cold below"
By far the most complex composition in the game.
Other than that, I’d suggest not listening to the songs with lyrics in them, they’re focused on the presentation more than thematic music choices.
@@DaviVasc If you liked Murum Vull another great one to check would be "Into Madness" AKA "The Undercroft Theme"
Cannot wait for you to listen to "No God above Knowledge". It's basically the non-combat track for the same area that this track plays in.
"Murum Vull" is the standard combat theme alongside another song "The master returns".
Also, there is a boss with its own theme! It's called "The Fragmented". I highly reccomend that one too.
Digital Extremes's music department just can't stop cooking.
Wild Bluprint spotted.
Nice to see tou here
Ayy John Warframe!
Nice to see bluprint here!!
DE's music Department defenetly diesn't Stop with the great stuff
The visual and audio team has been carrying the game long before even Reb took over
I highly recommend the track "This Is What You Are". It's pretty much the definitive main theme of the game, and it's the track that solidified Warframe's score as one of the greats.
Thank you for the suggestion my friend
Eh honestly I feel the piece sounds cliche - something you may have heard before in other media - if you remove the iconic quest from the piece.
Other more recent ones like The Offering, Murum Vull, The Master Returns, and the Octopede music sound more unique to Warframe.
HE DID IT!!!
There are so many bangers in Warframe that I can't even list them all, but here are some.
- This is What you are (basically the theme song of Warframe)
- The Offering (Void Angel Boss Theme)
- Hybrid Abominations (Archon Theme. So much energy)
- We all lift together/For Narmer (listen to We all lift together first. Would be amazing for a double feature, just sayin...)
- Literally every ost from Warframe: 1999. They are all absolute bangers
Duviri Paradox OST... a MUST!
boy have you opened up a DEEP musical rabbit hole lmao. you have added YEARS worth of content potential
100% and I am here for it
It's Warframe time guys!
Many warframe songs, like this one, play in missions and are dynamic. They change if combat is happening or not, and loop the part of the song that is designed for the situation. But some warframe songs are for safe locations, quests and cutscenes.
You HAVE to listen to "This is what you are", as everyone else will be telling you too. c: Also "Smiles from Juran", but "The fragmented one" and "Koumei and the five fates" are bangers as well.
Murum and Vull are (currently) Untranslated words in a language called Voidtongue, spoken by [Redacted for spoilers], the Void is essentially an alternate dimension, the Albrecht Labs (of which this is the theme of) is an absolutely ancient location containing the research of Albrecht Entrati, who's a pretty big freaking deal, a giga-genius of sorts, but he's not around anymore, and in his absence, the void is seeping in, corrupting his constructs, trying to use them to break through to our solar system (and it's kinda working), which would be indescribably catastrophic, the Void has a quality that corrupts basically anything it touches, living or not, so you could imagine that having the void overrun our reality would be pretty bad, not even considering that the Void itself, ISN'T what we're really scared of.
Also, the whispering throughout the track is all Voidtongue, which should give you a decent idea of what's going on in the track
Oh so this is indeed a location theme!
@@DaviVascsort of, the location itself and the faction found there are of the same entity. It’s a theme of the location what it spawns and also what it’s changed.
are you aware of this sign "."? ^^

Yo no way
Monster Hunter and Warframe are far and away my favourite games and seeing Davi explore them both makes me so happy. Extra hype because this theme is from one of my favourite locales in the whole game!
You gotta try "This is What You Are", "We All Lift Together", "The Offering" or my personal favourite "The Fragmented". There's so much amazing music in Warframe and almost all of it coincides with it's story telling
If i might suggest some really good ost's of warframe
"This is what you are"
"The Fragmented"
"What is my fate?"
"We all lift together"
And "For Narmer"
You got thrown into the deep end with this recommendation haha!
Other than "This is What You Are", I think you should really listen to "Sunkiller" it's a mix of a few older tracks in the game for... relevant story reasons.
To be fair all you guesses are right. Words and tittle tell us nothing bc language of this is not only made up but conceptual. Its like each word is deep even methaphisical concept of something. But song by itself is clash between ancient/primal eldritch space horror and more sofisticated force. Its also a place Void literally invading Laboratory of greatest mind of this world. And it its a boss fight theme.
I know people already suggested This Is What You Are, but I have two different very cool suggestions: Sleeping In The Cold Below, and We All Lift Together. Also The Offering.
+1 for checking out more songs from Warframe, the soundtrack is absolutely overflowing with great songs across a ton of genres, there's boatloads to talk about in there.
So glad my suggestion got the random pick! Murum Vull is one of my favorite tracks for that dangerous and primal tone you described! And yeah as another commenter pointed out, the title and lyrics are in an in-universe language called Voidtongue. Murum Vull is untranslated but there are theories! I hope someday the Warframe devs give us an actual Voidtongue dictionary of sorts lol
Hope you'll check out more Warframe tracks someday! There's a ton of good ones!
Thank you for suggesting this Giga!
This a the combat theme for an area known as "Entrati's Laboratory", located within the depths of one of the moons of Mars, Deimos.
Split between the material plain, and an extradimensional reality known as the "Void"- we face its will, manifested through Warframe's newest enemy faction: the "Murmur". This is one of two themes for fighting them- the other is called: "The Master Returns".
For boss themes involving the Murmur, the only one we have is called: "The Fragmented One".
Please make these:
This is what you are (basically The anthem of the game)
We all lift together/For Narmer (in one video)
Sunkiller
Into madness
Party of your life time (future update)
All whispers in the wall/Dante unbound osts (you just listened one from whispers iirc), especially Fragmented One
This is what you are is overrated imo. Cliche “epic” soundtrack
@ Maybe. It just makes sense for Davi to “rate” this track asap if he starts to listen Warframe ost. As I said, I consider it main theme of the game. Also I was 15 when heard it in Warframe and I absolutely LOVED it
Sorry for my English
this is the standard theme in an area of the game know as the Sanctum Anatomica. which to break it down easily is an impossible labyrinth of a laboratory on the edge of reality and the 'void' or an eldritch un-reality. the theme is for the lesser void monstrosities that dwell there. and the laboratory was created by a scientist whos dedicated his life to understanding and stopping a very powerful eldritch entity that resides there. without going into it too deep. there is also an actual boss theme which is called 'The Fragmented' who is a powerful entity but not the one the scientist dedicated to stopping.
It's so awesome to watch him actively apply his skill consistently through the video
Absolutely awesome video!
I will also recommend "This Is What You Are" like so many others are recommending
Warframe is full of amazing music, both score and traditional songs. With the upcoming expansion, a full albums worth of music is being added as well.
Yes! I'm so psyched for you to get into the strange musical world of Warframe
I got a feeling you'd be interested Hybrid Abominations as well.
Yooo, I feel very happy, knowing that you began listening to Warframe's OSTs! Like other people here, I recommend to listen to "This Is What You Are", "We All Lift Together" and "For Narmer" but I also suggest "Sleeping In The Cold Below", "The Offering" and "Into Madness". They are insane!
Well, you got the vibe correct! It's a song that is a theme of an area where we met face to face with something that I would call a primordial evil entity from another dimention
Interesting first choice for a Warframe soundtrack. Outside of the other tracks others have mentioned here, I highly highly recommend "The Master Returns" It's another track from the same area as "Murum Vull" and it's an amazing track.
This is, indeed, a combat theme for a giant palace/laboratory complex that sits at the very verge of reality as we know it itself, and the realm beyond our comprehension, a endless scape of geometrical, anatomical and fractal patterns, a space of delirium and iindifference, tides on the shore of reality here, and we are to fight the deranged, frenetic automata once used to serve the masters of this place, and also creatures made of mismatched geometric, fractal and anatomic patterns, lest the great indifference floods what we seek to protect.
Perhaps my favorite location combat theme in the game. The background chanting makes it feel as if some great entity is watching and taunting your efforts as you cleave through hordes of enemies (which is pretty accurate given the context in game).
the chords not being fully developed imitation of "real" chords is spot on with the theme of the area this is played in.
one thing that is good to know is that warframe uses dynamic music where the track changes depending on the state of gameplay, so the changes here are probably all the states stitched together.
You dipped into probably the weirdest music Warframe currently has to offer. You're close to the mark with 'primal' elements here, but this song specifically is a combat beat. The chanting is in other songs, but it has no current translation itself.
From what you are saying it makes soo much more sense about the faction that its made for. The faction is called the Murmur and they exist in a dimension as ancient as time itself and nothing change there, that's why the entity that exist there is called the man in the wall but also the indifference. So all the things you said gives us an insight of what the composer was thinking when making it. Also there is a boss there. From Warframe I strongly suggest you check "This is what you are", but also I suggest Jade's theme song.
Okay but, now compare this to "see it in the flesh" and "duviri paradox"
They can't pick a genre and I love it.
Warframe is one of the most impactful and closest games to my heart, I’ve been playing this game for 11 years, I even have the soundtrack on Vinyl.
I’d love to see your thoughts contrasting “We all lift together” and “For Narmer”
5:37 What in the world happened there, davi Vasc?
His light fell, haha
An interesting bit of Warframe lore is that there's a beat of one two three amongst some of the songs. Rap tap tap.
Like something knocking on a wall.
"What is My Fate?" would be an excellent follow up to this song in particular.
Primal is a very good way to look at the music for this. Hit the read more for the spoilers of it. In a sense, yes, the stakes are very high.
.
.
Basically this is for an entity/faction that is older than/outside time, who once discovering the people in the Warframe galaxy, is doing everything it can to become a part of our reality. Old, primal, unknowable, alien in a world of aliens, and endlessly complex. We still dont know to what extent this entity will attack our reality in Warframe, but this is technically boss and not boss music. The faction is called The Great Indifference or the Murmur in this instance.
5:35 - it looks like the man actually summoned HIM with this chanting 💀
Some background knowledge, this song plays at a sort of break between reality and void,
which causes unworldly concepts to flood in and try to take in whatever it can´t be (kinda speculative hard to say what nothing wants).
But yes, very good guess overall spot on :P
one work i also really like is the "What is my fate" track, pretty recent, and anything 1999 related are just pure old-school pieces you´ll enjoy.
Sadly only a few versions are fully released yet, i´m a bit excited for a specific one.
we got like, 2 releases and got a taste of 2 more coming, and the Dev´s of the game said this would be one of theyr biggest update, apparently having more music and content then the rest :3
Hell yeah! Thanks for reviewing Warframe bro!
Call of the tempestarii, absolutely amazing track
the bos main theme is called "the fragmented", MURUM VULL is the name of the regular combat theme for the albrch lab laboratory
warframe ost is composed of 3 types:
first is the non combat theme songs that play as ambaiense songs they happen during non combat, player hubs and specific loading screens
the second are combat music is divided in 2 types generic combat that is tied to a specific map or faction
and the 3rd is character theme song that only happens during quests dynamic boss encounters and prime trailers
also all of them can be played as bgm for the orbter the player home
Nice overlooked choice for diving into warframe. Way too many good tracks to choose from. I’ll throw in “Final Ascent” just because I love that one so much.
Love your content! Thank you for checking out warframe music, it's kind of a hidden gem
I really hope you check out "The Fragmented" and "The Master Returns" and obviously "This is What You Are". DE's music department are goddamn alchemists!
More from warframe I recommend would be is the obligatory "This is what you are", "Duviri Paradox music video" OST, "We all lift together", "On lyne - party of your lifetime" :3
(story spoiler) It may have been said, but the area this theme plays in passes between corrupted tiles and tiles that are inside a lab, so there is a movement from order, to a wasteland influenced by the current story big bad known only as The great Indifference, an entity of the void who seeks humanity and individuality
I don't know if you have covered any of them yet, but I wanted to recommend following up on your Blasphemous streams with the new dlc tracks. They are amazing and quite unique from the rest of the soundtrack, even compared to both Blasphemous 1 and 2.
Warframe and Nikke are my favorite musical rabbitholes in games! So many amazing soundtracks.
(Especially Nikke. They have... everything from Metal to Dubstep in the game and it somehow all works.)
Yesss Warframe has some of favorite video game tracks, you gotta check out “the Offering”
EDIT: also, all the corpus battle themes are bangers especially Veso’s theme
If you want the Boss Fight music associated to the location, you should check out "The Fragmented"
re: the chords you discuss around 5:20 (EDIT: you play the three primary notes of the tune around 8:25) - that creepy melody played there is the leitmotif associated with the scientist whose labs you're ostensibly exploring; I like the idea that the musicality of the piece begins to pick up when Entrati's theme creeps in because, while it's hard to say he's a good guy per se, he is at least an island of sanity and rationality compared to the eldritch and irrational monsters you're fighting in his lab.
a tune related to this one that might be worth listening to: No Gods Above Knowledge.
If you want more aggressive and active adaption of this space tribal muse. Check the fragmented one
Have played some warframe. Never knew there is more bangers than We All Lift Together and For Narmer. So, cool to found this out, thank you, random patreon user
I am begging you to do "This is What you are" and follow that up with "Sunkiller" - Those two in combination are an absolute journey
LETS GOOO WARFRAME! WE ALL LIFT TOGETHER!
Cool video as always mr music man :)
Thanks Doky!
Ooh nice to see another composer dipping into Warframe music.
My personal favourites Storm category 5 and The Offering. Both are quite action heavy though there is a version of The Offering called Canticle that's calmer for when you explore the environment.
I would also recommend riders of the void.
Also you're quite right about the alien feel of this song. It plays when you fight enemies controlled by The Man in the Wall. An entity that exists in a separate reality called the void. Kinda like the warp from Warhammer
This is just the combat theme for the area. If you want to know what the associated boss music sounds like, check out "The Fragmented"
Murum Vull is based on the faction “The Murmur” or “The Indifference” which is a faction of disjointed limbs that are either separate or joined together into amalgamations of body parts. Their existence is tied to various cosmic horrors. The reason why the parts feel disconnected is because they are designed to be based of the faction itself, split, divided, combined, reimagined, reformed, broken again, joined, split, always changing, always in unison yet always dividing.
Also the phrase “Murum Vull” is void tongue, often described as a deep bellowing noise. Part of it is heard through the song, and is that voice that makes part of the melody. Void tongue is described as (by Dr. Entrati) “I heard a deep, deep voice, I feared that it had no meaning, I feared even more that it held a meaning beyond my comprehension”.
Not sure if anyone else has played Cassette Beasts, but the OST is pretty amazing
I highly recommend checking out "Same old Story" fyi there is an instrumental and vocal version
5:39 caramba
6:25
This music is basically the theme for this location, a place that's high tech and sophisticated whilst also being ripped open by this "alien" force.
If you wanna listen to the this locations boss' theme it's called "The Fragmented", it's filled with a lot of chanting and throat singing, it's a really good piece!
Also yes, "This is What You Are" is basically a mandatory listen :D
I think this is the first time I saw someone react to a Warframe music for the first time and it is not This is What You Are
You've only just discovered Warframe?!?! You are not ready for this.
Emotions and variety are on display in full frontal force from here on out. You have no idea the Pandora's Box you just opened, but you WILL love it! Just listen to "This is what you are." You'll see.
Well, I hope you enjoy your path down the rabbit hole that is Warframe. I hope you eventually play the game yourself as well, I would DEFINITLY love to watch that stream if I find the time! Because this game is full of musical gems and has a wild story for a f2p game.
We end as we began.
Context: This is an area combat theme.
However, the area in question is rather peculiar. It's basically split between two places: One is a set of seemingly endless laboratories, full of alchemic devices, old-timey computers and strange constructs of indecipherable purpose.
The other is a strange dimension full of sand and enormous structures of bare concrete that seem to shift around and breathe as you move past them.
They are inhabited by two distinct types of enemy: One are the automatic security forces of the labs, golden automatons and robotic felines that have long been corrupted into abandoning their initial purpose of protecting the labs and have since joined forces with the second group, who are called the Murmur. The Murmur, who are the servants of an eldritch horror, appear as figures of living concrete, often in the shape of glowing limbs attached to a square block of concrete they drag after themselves, whereas others appear as concrete shards that have amalgamated into different shapes, held together by whiteish-blueish light.
just now i noticed the zariman motif in the song
Caramba Davi. Cool video as always, the chanting is cool, good track. It's good to see random selections from Patreon, maybe one day I will see a video where I know the song lol jajaja. That's it. ¡Adiós!
Warframe?!? Let’s goooooo!
You just summoned a fandom, now you have years worth of reaction content
Hell yeah, analysis of Warframe music? Hope you do these more, so many gems in the soundtrack (especially Duviri Paradox music, it's basically opera)
This is the music for regular battle in a place called Albrecht Laboratories, introduced in Whispers in the Walls update. It's located way beneath Deimos, moon of Mars.
Had to delete my original comment to add this tidbit 😊
Yo ibosu. Long time no see
Thanks! First, I'm surprised you remembered me 😅 Second, sorry for disappearing, I had stuff to catch up to and timezones are a pain, I'm simply on the other side of the globe compared to you
I hope that, just like with Hollow Knight, you’ll cover the many great tracks that Warframe has to offer
I can’t wait
After discovering this channel I came here, to the latest video to tell you what you probably have heard before: You NEED to analyse the Pizza Tower OST. It has like, no bad songs. You do not wanna miss it.
Warframe music is very.. interresting. One of my favorites is Ascension... I will not say what it's about but... maaaaaaaaaaaan
WTF KKKKKKKKK
VC É BR
Warframe has a lot of bangers I would love to see you react to them
Any track in particular you would recommend?
@@DaviVasc The next update will be the one with the most amount of original songs so it will be a great time to react to them, but they already released one called "The Call" going full vocal.
There is the older classic ones that everyone loves "This is What You Are" and "We All Lift Together".
The song of the video came from a update with many amazing ost(My favorites) including the cliffhanger to the next update the music called "'1999" and from all mentioned until now the one I would recommend the most "The Master Returns"
Now we need him to listen to the boy band song.
No waaaaaaaay hahaha! Try listening yara jeliira too! Well it's a rabbit hole of a game, you'd appreciate it more if you try to play it :D
Would love if you also checked out "On Corroded Wings" and "The Offering" from warframe both are amazing songs
Now I'm waiting for a collab with MarcoMeatball.
Damn, DE does have a drum fetish with this song, doesn't it?
please check out the paper mario color splash ost!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
Caramba, minha luz caiu me pegou muito desprevinido kkkkk
You need to react to all the star dream themes from Kirby
And the Magolor themes
If you want something similar to this from Warframe then i recommend "The Fragmented" this is the boss theme from this Murum Vull area, the boss is called Scathing Mockery.
Here is a link ua-cam.com/video/AeIeR5fbc9k/v-deo.html
Please do the fragmented one boss theme
Yelo
