I can't believe I just found your channel. Where have you been all my UA-cam life??!! I have been binge watching all of your videos for the past couple of weeks. I have made so many changes thanks to your recommendations. Your videos are helpful and upbeat. I love it!! PS - I totally bought that O'Cedar mop bucket. It's a dream.
I love my irobot vacuum! I named it Roger! I've had it over a year now and it's basically my cleaning assistant. I don't have it set on an automatic schedule but while Roger vacuums my floor I do other things like dusting, ironing or even just read a book or watch my favorite UA-cam channel! 😉
Debbie Mcclure Her husband is the bathroom "cleaning product". I have one of those but it's cleaning programming was corrupted shortly after manufacture : (
I got your book for my birthday (Mar 2 - so preorder) and I love it. I love all of your recipes so far. I haven't delved farther cause I just moved but the place was filthy and your book saved me from running around the internet. :)
Your videos are very inspirational and give motivation to do cleaning. To be productive in every aspects, Cleaning is one of the most important part of life. Keep going. I am big fan of you and subscribed to your channel.
just bought the o cedar spinning mop today! I absolutely hate mopping, but I'm actually looking forward to trying this product! Thanks for the recommendation!
All of my innovative products came via your recommendation! My favorite is a Dyson hand-held vac that saves me untold effort on pet hair around the home especially on stairs. I have a similar O Cedar microfiber mop and spin bucket and it is a back saver. Devoted to your microfiber cloths. I also really enjoy the Skoy scrubbies - so cute, easier to keep clean and do a great job washing pots, pans and even delicate dishes. Maybe I should get a robot vac this year as my darling dog sheds profusely.
Hey Melissa! I just wanted to say thank you! You have given me a lot of useful information about cleaning! I love and watch all your videos! We have gone mostly all natural when it comes to cleaning supplies and now when I smell store bought it actually makes me very sick! Lol can't even fathom how I did it for all those years! I do have a question..... I live in Colorado and was thinking of becoming a maid,or starting up my own house cleaning service. Can you please give me some advice, or tips on how to go about things? I would be incredibly grateful! Thanks Wendy
I like your videos as well. I know that this may seem weird, coming from the fact that I am an 18 year old watching cleaning videos on UA-cam. I know, that may seem weird, but once in a while, when I don't exactly know how to execute the best cleaning tasks for my room or such, I always watch Melissa, because she knows what she is doing the best out of anybody else that I've ever seen. Very detailed and awesome videos, and she is the most knowledgeable that I've ever seen as far as cleaning your space goes. Thank you so much for all of the sophisticated, detailed videos, and keep on doing what you do best. Thank you so much for all of these helpful tips and tricks for making your home the cleanest that it can possibly be. Thank you so so so much!!!!
Lol poor Chad. I always come back and watch your videos, particularly how to get motivated to clean, how to get your partner to clean, and how to clean your cleaning tools. Subscriber for years now, from early college to adulthood, and now bought your book which is awesome. Next up: getting my hands on your microfiber cloths! Love the CMS team. ❤️
I live in an apartment that doesn't have a dishwasher and for Christmas my husband got me a countertop dishwasher!! (So romantic, right?) I cried happy tears. It's amazing!
in Portugal its Vileda as well, and i must say i bought my spin mop about 3 years ago, and it is still one of the best cleaning tools i ever bought. love your channel! i would love if you did something special about cats hair around the house (i know i saw one you did but maybe more hacks about this?) i love my cat but i struggle so much to keep my cloths and house clean!
Oh yes, please give us something that will clean tubs and showers for us... that would be the ultimate. Gotta say that wine color top looks gorgeous on you Melissa! (and it's one of my fave colors). Can't wait til we can get a robot vacuum again. We had one of the first Roomba models about 10 years ago, but alas it did not last. That reminds me it's time to go vacuum... xo
I love your microfiber cloths so much that I use the ultra soft as my bath towels. I'm small. Are you thinking about larger towels for bath use and perhaps small for face?
Melissa, I need to know about cleaning the unfinished parts of a basement. How? And how often? We bought the house almost 4 years ago and I've never cleaned the unfinished area of the basement!
Can you do a video or series on steam cleaners? The different kinds, the pros and cons, how to use with and without chemicals/essential oils, maintenance (like cleaning hard water sign vinegar) etc. THANKS!
Do you use the micro fiber clothes when using multi purpose clearing sprays too? What about cleaning like the stove top and best way to clean the stove?
Love your video's! How many times do you have to dump out your robot vacuum during the process? The collection bin looks really small and is one of the reasons I've not purchased one yet. Streaky floors are a pain! I use only vinegar/water mixture to clean my floors, but still get streaking. Your microfiber cloths sound like they would be a great option for use w/the spray mops.
Melissa, I just received my second order of your microfibre cleaning cloths. I love, love, love them. Thanks for a great product. I still can't quite comprehend why they are sold in US dollars. I only live 2 hours from Toronto. Are they available in any retail stores?
I have back issues and can not bed over or get to my knees to clean the bath tub. Do you know of any tool or product that could help me? Great videos and congrats on the book.
I have an HE washing machine. You mentioned that if you use it right and have the correct detergent they will clean clothes better. What detergent do you recommend? Any other tips?
I have a swiffer but hate the disposable wipes that come with it. Do you have any suggestions on diy reusable pads, and how to make them to fit the swiffer? Thanks for all you do. purchased your book before it came out! love what I've read so far!
Rubbermaid makes a mop that works a lot like the swiffer wet jet - it has an onboard bottle of solution and reusable microfiber cloths on the bottom that attach via velcro on the head. Unlike the wet jet, you don't have to buy their solution, you can put your own in the spray bottle, and the spray bottle isn't battery powered, so that's a savings too. I used to love my wet jet, but the refills get expensive. I've been using the reveal mop for about 4 years now, and adore it. I have 2 of the solution bottles, so there's always one under my sink mixed up and ready to go, and have 5 of the microfiber cloths for the head, so as soon as one is dirty, I can rip it off, and replace it with a fresh one. If you're not into buying a whole new system however, I know I have seen tutorials on how to make reusable swiffer cloths on pinterest. I was going to try that until I found the Rubbermaid version, and I can't imagine a DIY solution would work as well as it does.
Paper towels (doubled) or cheap microfiber clothes with cleaning solution if necessary (which is water, white vinegar and a little dish soap in my house). Just tuck them in and let the rest hang loose.
I love my Bissell crosswave. It sweeps and cleans the floors all at once. I had the ocedar mop and it just didn’t last. The crosswave takes sweeping and washing and combines it in one step. It also sucks up the dirty water and the floors are practically dry.
Hi Mellisa, i love watching your video. but I have a question. how do I clean dust proparly. I sweep everyday but my house still get dusty. please help anyway you can.
I absolutely LOVE my Vileda steam cleaner for the floors (it's Vileda here in Italy too!) It's a cat friendly way to clean the tile floors we have here and it takes no time at all to get through the whole house and their microfibre pads leave no streaks whatsoever!
I just found a new broom called the wisp, it looks a bit like a small workshop broom so you never flick dust and a dust pan you stand on so you dont have to juggle the pan and broom. Looks interesting!
I have the spin mop and it is not worth the cost. The attachment from handle to triangle quickly became loose and now the mop flops all.over and is hard to control. The mop head also is very hard to clean away pet hair and human hair. And lastely I have to use a seperate bucket for clean soapy water and use the spin bucket for the dirty water. And because oc its odd size, its hard to fit it behind and around toilets. Now the Ocedar microfiber mop with refillable spray container is AWESOME and fits behind and around toilets. I love that you can use your own cleaning solution too
can you give any tips for cleaning with a small child/ baby that often needs attention? i already found out how i can do some things with my son in a wrap, but not everything
my innovative cleaning tool is baby wipes :-) LOL I get non scented plain ones that are made from thick layered paper (it feels like cloth almost, but they can be composted) and now I wipe my benches down with them for a final shine! I sometimes spray a vinegar allpurpose cleaner on them when I use them.
I love the Fuller Brush Toilet Bowl Swab. It is a mini-mop with a clever cup on the handle the comes down over the mop head to wring out the excess water and once dried, the cup becomes a stand for the brush taking up very little space in the bathroom. I keep another one of a different color on hand to use for other small jobs outside the bathroom. I tried a Rumba robotic mop, but it was an immediate disappointment and so I took it back to the store and purchased the Hurricane 360 Spin Mop. I've learned to be sure all of the mop ropes are inside the spin container before spinning so that I don't have a splash problem even without a splash guard.
How about those sinkshrooms? Can you do a review of those? Not really a cleaning gadget but thought that it might make cleaning all the hair from the sink and bathroom easier. Been thinking if it was worth buying.
😆 loved the comment about finding something that cleans the bathroom for you!!! My model does not do that!!! 😜 and it does not come with return or upgrade guarantee either!!! 😜
it helps to have my cordless dyson. more motivated to clean if i don't have to fight with cords. honestly there isn't much a wet microfiber cloth cannot clean. i don't even use any other product and im switching to good ol top load with agitator. im tired of my kids clothes looking the same going in and out of washer so i will let u know if it washes better. im willing to splurge on water to get cleaner clothes.
I have the Chuwi Ilife V7 I think (pink one). Bought it from Gearbest a year ago, they have worldwide free shipping. It vacuums and mops and did cost under 200 bucks. Still alot of money, I know, but such a great helper. Wouldn't miss it in the world.
Clean My Space Probably not unless Dyson send me one but we all know that's not going to happen. You should see if Dyson will send you one to do a video on.
Melisa, would you please aim the garbage cans that now, here in The Netherlands Europe you must divide your garbage, to plastic/cans etc. composting, paper and glass. it is so annoying. any advice how to arrange those containers? thank you
Hi, we have that in Germany, too. Recently, I was at a vacation apartment that had a neat divide-your-garbage-can that resembled this one: www.amazon.de/Songmics-Inneneimer-M%C3%BClltrennsysteme-Abfalleimer-LTB24L/dp/B013DA46VC/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1492389473&sr=8-18-spons&keywords=m%C3%BClleimer+trennung&psc=1 Sorry this is in German, but I'm sure there is something similar on the dutch amazon site (and I don't speak dutch, sorry). Hope this helps though.
I do understand it. thank you. some how the problem is the size! each garbage need another size of a container, we do have it here but it cost more than 115 euro, I am not going to pay for garbage cans this price! so I thought may be some one has a solution please. thank you for your suggestion.
They are. Vileda is apparently the name of the company in commonwealth countries as she mentioned later in the video. She must have gotten hers on a trip to the US, since she is in Canada.
One innovative cleaning product that I have used every day are "Scrub Daddy's." You can find them at any store, and they are great for scrubbing your sink with soap or baking soda. They are also good at scrubbing dishes.
What is your opinion on the two new battery operated shower tile scrubbers that are "as seen on tv" called the Turbo Scrub and Hurricane spin brush that have extension poles. I cannot get down on hands and knees or bend to scrub the tub/shower but before I invest in this product I would value your opinion.
I love mine! I used to hate scrubbing the shower, still do, but not as much. My bathroom is tiny 5x7, with no window. So I didn't want to use chemicals. I use Melissa's dish detergent / water in a spray bottle recipe, and use my scrubber. Cleans the sink great too. I gave another to a man to clean his tires with so he wouldn't have to get on the ground. He loves it. HSN has it on Flex Pay right now...Price divided by Flex Pay, add the shipping= first payment, ever other payment is without the shipping. Flex is interest free, and there is no membership fee to shop there. Today there is a 20% off code at the top of their site, too. So today it would cost $16.10 to get it home, and $11.10 for the next two months. www.hsn.com/products/turbo-scrub-360-cordless-power-scrubber-wcleaning-kit/8401414
This doesn't pertain to this particular video but I wanted to know what your thoughts are on washing dishes and wiping down the counters with the same dish towel. I do wash and change them out 3-5 days. Please let me know?
We have well water and the water even though it is filtered leaves a ring in the toilet. I'm always having to use a pumice stone to remove it. Any other suggestions?
I love my Roomba, and having Siberian Huskies I sprang for the 980. The only big problem now is that one of my Huskies has learned how to turn it off by pouncing on it and pressing the off button. It's really cute to watch, but I've had to schedule it to run when they're outside.
I love your videos! I have been using the hands free mop for quite some time & omw, it's the next best thing since slice bread. I know #Erica Lee has a garbage bin like that, which she received from her Mum for Christmas & she absolutely raves about it too. I am well aware in Canada & The States, washers & dryers are popular, but here in South Africa, we don't use the dryers that often, as we hang our clothing outside to dry. It gets fresh air, the wind blows through it & it saves on our electricity bill. Why not perhaps air dry your clothing, won't that save on costs? Since I subscribed to your channel a year ago, I have only been using micro fibre cloths & it does save on time & money. Love you & Chad & sending lots of love from Port Elizabeth, South Africa
I love watching your videos Saturday mornings. Thank you, Melissa & Chad!!!
Thank you so much for turning me on to the O-Cedar spin mop and bucket. It is just the tool for my floors, thanks again.
I have the Neato d85 robot vacuum, and it has saved my life. I get sick from the strain of vacuuming. It's also genius for pet hairs!
I need that bathroom cleaner you showed! Where can I get one?
😂🤣😂🤣
L Miller Me too, lol
Debbie Mcclure I

I LOVE my spin mop. I have tried several mops and this one is by far the best!
The mop looks great!! I always try to make things easier for myself. Thanks for all the info you blog.
I've had my eye on the robot vacuum forever! so innovative!!!
O Cedar mop is my favorite along with the microfiber cloths....love love can't wait to get the robot
just bought the o cedar spinning mop today! I absolutely hate mopping, but I'm actually looking forward to trying this product! Thanks for the recommendation!

What kind of vacuum is that
Can I use that mop on real wood floors
I love your videos!!!! Always motivated when I watch your videos!!!! 😊
Woo-hoo! Thanks for watching them!!
Clean My Space what is the brand of touchless trash can?
I like your videos as well. I know that this may seem weird, coming from the fact that I am an 18 year old watching cleaning videos on UA-cam. VictoriaBubbles Bun I'm 16 😂
Aww, you are adorable. And so right......she knows
I love my Roomba robot vacuum. I also love my Bissel Symphony steam mop.
I am so stoked that I have all of these except for the mop. I tried to go and buy one today from Home Depot but ran out of time...thank you!!!
I live in an apartment that doesn't have a dishwasher and for Christmas my husband got me a countertop dishwasher!! (So romantic, right?) I cried happy tears. It's amazing!
in Portugal its Vileda as well, and i must say i bought my spin mop about 3 years ago, and it is still one of the best cleaning tools i ever bought.
love your channel! i would love if you did something special about cats hair around the house (i know i saw one you did but maybe more hacks about this?)
i love my cat but i struggle so much to keep my cloths and house clean!
I purchased your microfiber cloths and I love them. Thank you
Roxanne Danielson im thinking about buying them. How do you honestly like them? The cost is high tho
Oh yes, please give us something that will clean tubs and showers for us... that would be the ultimate. Gotta say that wine color top looks gorgeous on you Melissa! (and it's one of my fave colors). I love your microfiber cloths so much that I use the ultra soft as my bath towels. I'm small. Are you thinking about larger towels for bath use and perhaps small for face?
Maryn Lewis are you a little person?
No. Just 5' short.
Melissa, I need to know about cleaning the unfinished parts of a basement. How? And how often? We bought the house almost 4 years ago and I've never cleaned the unfinished area of the basement!
I know they're not as good as the microfiber cloths, but in a pinch, I love the swiffer dusters! They really do pick up a lot of dust.
What about cleaning like the stove top and best way to clean the stove?
your eye makeup is on point!
Too much eye make up.
The Shark cordless vacuum is a great product. I use on my floors and carpet. So much easier than sweeping!
Love my O-Cedar spin mop!!
I love my Shark sweep vac and my spin mop.
Mimi Zabela check out her recent video 10 innovative ways to clean I think is the name. She has a way to do that
A swiffer mop works wonders. :-)
Mimi Zabela
Well done CMS. Melissa, have you ever used Probiotics in your cleaning routines? As always interested in your views. Thanks and good luck.
I have an HE washing machine. You mentioned that if you use it right and have the correct detergent they will clean clothes better. What detergent do you recommend? Any other tips?
Love the extra video this week !!!!
I have a swiffer but hate the disposable wipes that come with it. Do you have any suggestions on diy reusable pads, and how to make them to fit the swiffer? Thanks for all you do. purchased your book before it came out! love what I've read so far!
Betty Horn I use microfibre cloths in my swiffer. Also I think there are reusable pads at the dollar store that fit over the swiffer head.
Haha I love the humor that Chad adds to your videos :)
How often should you mop? I mop maybe once a month. Sometimes more depending on how I'm feeling or if it is needed.
I want the bissell pet shampooer! I'm hopeful it'll be available for UK customers xx
Hi what's the best way to wash microfibre cloths i.e. With detergent or without and best temperature thanks 😊 xxx
Wash in warm water - you can use a gentle detergent and no fabric softener!
Does the OCedar spin mop separate the clean water from the dirty?
Your makeup looks great!
I absolutely LOVE my Vileda steam cleaner for the floors (it's Vileda here in Italy too!)
It's a cat friendly way to clean the tile floors we have here and it takes no time at all to get through the whole house and their microfibre pads leave no streaks whatsoever!
Do you enjoy vacuuming or do you hate it?
Clean My Space love it!! it's my second favourite job .. my first being mopping :D xx
Clean My Space I hate it. My vacuum cleaner keep breaking on me 🤑🤑
Clean My Space
Love doing it as I have a Kirby vacuum
I'd like it better if I had a Dyson Stick Vac! I'm aiming for it but not quite there yet. :)
gemini9 Dyson is a high dollar vacuum cleaner.
I just found a new broom called the wisp, it looks a bit like a small workshop broom so you never flick dust and a dust pan you stand on so you dont have to juggle the pan and broom. Looks interesting!
I love my no chemical steam mop!!
Loved the bathroom cleaner😝
If the microfiber cloth holds 8 times more water, could you suggest how we can dry the cloth faster and properly dry it?
Can I get that spin mop in the US? Thanks, just saw the link!! Put it in my shopping cart!
I enjoy using my steamer to do multiple things. it is fast and some of the attachments mop heads can be reused.
I love that you can use your own cleaning solution too
I use the Vileda mop, and I also use the Swiffer for the wood floors! No I don't hate vacuum ing,!Good ideas , and tips!
Melissa, have u checked out irobot mop. It's super cool, I love it .
ohhhh ohhhh I have that o'ceadar mop and that trash can. whoooaa hoooo 😆😆😃😃😍😍 yayyyyyy!! I'm 5% Melissa Makerrrrr
Hi there, can you provide links to the items in your video? I only see a link for the mop. Interested in robot vac and garbage can. Thanks.
can you give any tips for cleaning with a small child/ baby that often needs attention? i already found out how i can do some things with my son in a wrap, but not everything
my innovative cleaning tool is baby wipes :-) LOL I get non scented plain ones that are made from thick layered paper (it feels like cloth almost, but they can be composted) and now I wipe my benches down with them for a final shine! I sometimes spray a vinegar allpurpose cleaner on them when I use them.
Awesome video
I love the Fuller Brush Toilet Bowl Swab. It is a mini-mop with a clever cup on the handle the comes down over the mop head to wring out the excess water and once dried, the cup becomes a stand for the brush taking up very little space in the bathroom. i just bought ur book :) i cant wait to read it❤❤❤
Your video's are really helpful
Thank you Jasleen!!
😆 loved the comment about finding something that cleans the bathroom for you!!! My model does not do that!!! 😜 and it does not come with return or upgrade guarantee either!!! 😜
I love your top can you pls tell me from do you got this! Which brand? Thanks!
And always love all your videos!!❤️
it helps to have my cordless dyson. more motivated to clean if i don't have to fight with cords. honestly there isn't much a wet microfiber cloth cannot clean. i don't even use any other product and im switching to good ol top load with agitator. im tired of my kids clothes looking the same going in and out of washer so i will let u know if it washes better. im willing to splurge on water to get cleaner clothes.
Would love your opinion on a less expensive robot vacuum that still works well.
I have the Chuwi Ilife V7 I think (pink one). Bought it from Gearbest a year ago, they have worldwide free shipping. It vacuums and mops and did cost under 200 bucks. Still alot of money, I know, but such a great helper. Wouldn't miss it in the world.
What are your thoughts on steam mop? Instead of spin mop?
I love my spin mop
love your video content! 😊
Thank you Keshia!!!
Love the shirt I have the same one
Hi Melissa, where did u get that floor mat from?
Can you do a review of the best automatic vacuum cleaner?
I have a Vileda Steamer, which makes it so much easier to mop the floors.
and my silicone make-brush cleaner ;-)
A great product! Thanks for watching :)
Berit Galai have one of those too!
Have you seen the new Dyson robot vacuum. Looks good
I have - it's really cool...quite pricey though! Are you thinking about getting one?
Clean My Space
Probably not unless Dyson send me one but we all know that's not going to happen. You should see if Dyson will send you one to do a video on.
Clean My Space
What do you think of Kirby Vacuum Cleaners
Steam, steam, steam! Almost a miracle. Have a multi-function mop, want one for my windows too.
I so need this today
Thanks for watching!!

Sorry this is in German, but I'm sure there is something similar on the dutch amazon site (and I don't speak dutch, sorry). Hope this helps though.
I do understand it. thank you. some how the problem is the size! each garbage need another size of a container, we do have it here but it cost more than 115 euro, I am not going to pay for garbage cans this price! so I thought may be some one has a solution please. thank you for your suggestion.
Great video!!!
Love your channel! :D
..and we love you (and cookies too)!
what brand is that robot vacuum? I have the 800 series roomba and it has no pattern, it just goes here and there so I end up with missed spots.
Oh wow - this one's the Neato Botvac. We've had good success with it!
Cool, thanks!
I wonder if the O-Cedar mop is the same as the Vileda spin mop in Australia. It looks exactly the same. Maybe they are part of the same company.
I'm considering buying a robot vacuum... I don't know which to buy at a fair price. Any reviews y'all wanna share with me?
This doesn't pertain to this particular video but I wanted to know what your thoughts are on washing dishes and wiping down the counters with the same dish towel. I do wash and change them out 3-5 days. Please let me know?
We have well water and the water even though it is filtered leaves a ring in the toilet. I'm always having to use a pumice stone to remove it. Any other suggestions?
Love you videos :) and I love cleaning as well :)
Thanks for watching!
can you make a video or blog post or eBook on how to start a cleaning business?
We also have a mini garbage can like that!
Love you Melissa!
hey, nice vid!
