Definitely GET WHAT YOU WANT but just be aware that Range Rovers are known to be terrible cars. Unreliable money pits. The G Wagon is an aesthetic but definitely test drive it before you buy. You might be surprised at how...basic it feels. It doesn’t feel like a 6 figure ride lmao! I would say that whatever you get, be prepared to have high maintenance costs. I would even go so far as suggesting that you keep your current car as a backup. You never know, man. Even with an expensive luxury car. I drive a BMW and I kept my Chevy JUST IN CASE.

Yes all the good vehicles are so high to get fixed drive a benz and bmw but have a challenger and mustang and the challenger and mustang is way more reliable than the top two

Raven I’m sure you’ll never see this. I have to say though that I love the way you buy what you want yet still save and are responsible! Some people act like money is not for making purchases. I’m not talking about irresponsible purchases but responsible purchases of things you want. In other words: “Work hard/Play hard.” I am old enough to be your mother and I’m soooo proud of you. Your parents did a great job with teaching you about money. Savings on lockdown and necessities on lockdown too. Keep it up.
I think once you drive a G Wagon, you will fall out of love. Especially with you anxiety with driving.. it’s such a rigid, rugged car.
Nicole E Here in Germany, most of the G-Wagon drivers are huntsmen and „outdoor“ people 😂 because in the end it’s more an off-road vehicle. The gear makes it kind of „uncomfortable“ to drive. It has never been extremely hyped in my country, only in the last few years since they‘ve made it more like „bougee“ 😂

I would honestly look into the maintenance of all these brands. My mom had several land rovers and they ultimately turn into money pits after a few years and she did purchase them brand new.

Deanna Maurice agreed! My sister has a Mercedes and the maintenance on it is ridiculous. I recently totaled my car and was looking into getting a Range Rover, Lexus or bmw but once I started looking into the maintenance costs I quickly changed my mind lol.
@@ashleyg7722 I have a lexus they're very reliable cars. Im on my 2nd one. Cant say anything bad about the brand. Maintenance is not bad compared to other luxury vehicles.
My husband says the same! He’s a automotive technician and he says these cars come and they can’t even work on them, because the way they are set up their engines can lock up.. causing more MONEY to fix them.

I'm a Mercedes girl forever & always. Have always had at least 1 in my garage at all times (since age 18). The maintenance of them is through the roof! I bought my kids each a C-Class for their 1st car, so now I'm maintaining 3... It's A LOT! 2 of them still have warranties & I'm paying about $10k/year for upkeep. I LOVE the Range Rover Autobiography. What I know about Range Rover is they used to be a subsidiary of Ford, until Ford sold them to Tata Land Rover-Jaguar brand. They also have an awful track record for maintaining. They're ALWAYS in the shop. Especially now that they don't have Ford backing. Jaguar's are known throughout the car industry as NOT reliable, Land Rover follows right behind that. I almost bought one about 10 years ago until my Dad came to me with all the "Car & Driver" info that I couldn't ignore. I passed & went with another Mercedes. I'm not a fan of BMW. Just personal preference, but I'm sure my Dad can give you facts on that. LOL!! If you guys want a 2019, I can help you out. I have a good relationship with a couple Mercedes Dealers. Let me know. But, one last thing my Dad instilled in me, since I was little... "Never buy anything you can't pay cash for!" It's something I've lived my life on & passed on to my babies. I know everyone has thoughts on that, but it's how I do things. If there are tax breaks, etc. for doing it otherwise, I get it. But, since I've lived my life like this (didn't always listen because I liked shiny new things)😜, I feel like I not only appreciate the things I have more, but also keep them longer & take better care of them. The mom in me says go for the practical car (BMW X5) because you’re a toddler mom. It’s a taste of luxury, it’s a new car! But typically BMWs maintenance prices are steep!

G-wagon is definitely over rated, I rode in my friends on a couple hour road trip round trip and I think you can get way more luxury and futuristic controls in other SUVs.
It's mainly an off-roader. It's based on a military truck. It isn't supposed to be comfy at all.
That being said, the newer models are absolutely luxurious.

The G_Wagon is 100% the #1 for a lot of us. As a person who has had a lot of different luxury cars I'd say... reliability is Mercedes first, drivability is BMW. I haven't looked into the Range Rover for a few years because their maintenance rating was low for a few years. I'd rather be driving my car instead of paying for repairs all the time. I'm in my 40's so I am more interested in how it drives, cost of repairs, and safety options.

I heard you say you're just looking which is good cause you definitely don't want to buy a car during the house process cause it can change your debt to income ratio. Many people buy things and causes them to no longer qualify because they will run your credit again before the closing. Just a tip.

Soo true! That happened to Nitraa B's neighbor. When they were in the process of closing on their house, the neighbor's mortgage loan fell thru because they bought a new car right before the closing.

I do love the G-Wagon especially because you seem so happy and when you getting a long-term purchase you have to be committed and happy with the vehicle. Oan I think the X5 or whatever was perfect, it's cute and it still gives you the luxurious feel
The G Wagon doesn’t have a 1 year waiting list. You might want to shop around at other Mercedes dealer (Houston area).

My mother has the BMW x5 and it is ALWAYS in the shop. She bought it brand new and it is consistently in the shop for something. I have a 2009 Acura MDX and it rides amazing and have had NO issues in the past 5yrs (got it used lol). I would truly look more into the durability of a car over the looks. It could look great but break easy and cost a fortune to fix. Look into how much simple things like oil changes, replacing tires etc will cost as those are reoccurring expenses.
I was just about to write something similar because at the end of the day when one's car needs to get fixed. I remember my dad had a range rover (used) and it constantly had to be fixed as well as parts had to be shipped from another country (he eventually sold it). When getting a car, durability will always trump (no pun intended) looks.

Spend 60 grand on the BMW X5 and take the 65,000 you saved by not buying a gwagon and put it in a savings account to build interest and your daughters college is paid for PLUS some AND you still have a luxury car- best of both worlds 💗 But I totally understand loving the look of a boxy unique car, I was super annoyed when they switched the design of the LR4 to the new discovery body which looks like every other suv imo. G wagons are actually really great cars. As far as reliability goes they’re pretty bulletproof. And the small things that happen with it aren’t all that expensive to fix. I have a 2003 g500 with almost 200,000 miles and I never have any worries with it. Not to mention you can take the car to any terrain.. snow, desert, mountain you’re fine. And the nice thing is it doesn’t really age so it’s a really great investment.

They're all nice, however, most of the men in my family are auto mechanics and they all say to stay away from BMW unless it's a 3 series or M - Class because of the performance. I like the Mercedes Benz, I hope this helps with your decision.

Keep in mind the G wagon only gets 12 miles per gallon on premium fuel. I think you would be very happy with the Mercedes GLE. They are reliable, do not have the problematic air suspension problems, are very practical, reliable, and last a long time. Pretty good on gas too. If you want a truly reliable luxury car, look at the offerings from Lexus.
Raven, please take your time and decide. I've owned a BMW for 12 years. Make sure you get the best/longest warranty you can. Once the warranty ends, you will have to pocket all the maintenance and upkeep out of pocket. Believe me when I say it's NOT cheap. I'm sure with all luxury/European cars it's the same. I recommend googling "common" issues with each of those vehicles. Then, price what it would cost to fix it. Although I can afford it, as yourself, I feel sick each time I have come out of pocket to fix it. Nothing is less than $1,000.00 each time. Not to mention, everything seem to start breaking at once.
However, make the best choice for you and Ziya....get whatever you want, you deserve it!❤

Look at the safety reviews and just maintenance reviews in general .... see if any of those places throw in free lifetime oil changes or anything like that. Less money to spend down the road... good luck !

BMW cars are expensive to keep up with when something needs fixing. It adds up fastttttt. I recommend the Range Rover. But I drive a Jeep maybe try one of those too 😉
I worked for Mercedes and the GLE is a much better suv. G-wagons are slightly more uncomfortable for everyday regular driving. They also break really easily and can be expensive to fix. If you do get a G-wagon, lease it and get a full maintenance package w/ tire and road hazard

I've always been a benz girl since my first car in 2012 which was the c300. Speaking from real life experience its completely worth the money! You only get the oil change done once a year, i've never had an issue with any of my cars and neither has any of my family members. The biggest thing though for me is even as the car ages it still looks new and can compete with the new models of toyota, honda, ford etc. BMW and range rovers mechanically aren't reliable. Benz or nothing. Don't think about the price tag, think longevity.
if you get a g wagon they hold their value really well since they don't change them very often, but all the g wagons that are older than 2019 are super outdated so if your gonna get one it only makes sense to get a 2019. also the thing that you mom thought was the "prndl" in the car she likes isn't, its for the infotainment system
The Range Rover Sport is my favorite!! I love exotic colors! I can see you in that one the most! I just bought my first car this year and it took me foreveeerrrrrrr to decide on what to get.

Go for the GWAGON 🙌🏼 my BF has it and absolutely loves it! It definitely has the “wow” factor that the others don’t, and is an iconic piece of art in my opinion 🤷🏽♀️ BUT they are all beautiful vehicles and will get the job done!

Edit: Coming from someone who works with luxury imports. Range Rovers even in 2019 still have a reputation for being unreliable, sooo if you do decide on a Range Rover make sure you get the best warranty they offer.
