I love how he's cooking this dish like our parents and grandparents grew up. No fancy equipment, no special ingredients. Just a bit of skill, a knife and fire.....and a buttload of passion. Gennaro, you are a true inspiration, please keep on putting smiles on our faces !
I live for this. Imagine you're just going about your work and Gennaro comes along yelling that he's got some awesome food for you! Love it. Bless you Gennaro
Such a legend full of passion and love not just for his cooking but for the world too feeding a man got him so happy this is what the world needs today.
This is the best thing I have ever seen... Gennaro is A great man... To share food is the greatest thing we can do for each other. Gene from Staten Island.
I make a lot of your recipes. I love your energy and love for traditional Italian food. I am not a chef but I’ll never go hungry. I learned how to cook from my mother. She was Greek and our father Sicilian, best of both worlds and culinary foods. Thank you very much!
Watching is a pleasure, feeling that the smell of food and nature is feeling. The soul rejoices at the sight of the earth and the saucepans that my grandmother had. 😘 Hello from Ukraine ...
I absolutely love this guy! He's having great fun sharing his dishes with us. My great grandfather was named Gennaro, born in Naples and came to the USA in 1901.
We need to get farmers who own their own land. Restaurateurs who are local. Get rid of investment groups, banks, mega-chains, and multi-nationals. Get with the co-ops and worker owned/run businesses. We'll all eat well.
I love how he expressed his kindness through his cooking. I was wondering why he ate the one in the pot, then he says he’s going to give the nicely plated one to the tractor man which made me smile in awe. He is so kind and cheerful that it inspires me to cook more and experience the joy of giving through food❤️
Never get tired of this recipe, we love it in our house and my 13 year old Daughter asks for it all the time. Just cooking this now and a good excuse to get a bottle of white wine too 😜
I'm not Italian, but this video is the reason I love that wonderful country. The sharing, the cooking and the passion. Let me answer your question with a question. Why do I love Italy so much? Have you ever met an Italian who was not passionate about his or her life's work? Have you ever met an Italian who was never hospitable and so outgoing? Have you ever been to Italy and not have your outlook on life changed? I have been so lucky to have traveled to many wonderful countries and towns, but only one left such an impression. Italy. The Vatican, the people, the excitement, the food. I'm going to rob a saying from France if I may. The Italians have a joie de vivre, a joy of life. This is Italian, I'm not, nor can ever claim to be, be being around Italians, you also feel a little joie de vivre.
I am from a small village about an hour away from Napoli. My Nonna cooked this dish a lot, only without the broccoli. She would add small tomatoes from her gardens, and always had huge batches of pasta made because we were about 20 people every time :D (she had 12 children, and us grandchildren were all there as well). I sometimes would steal cooked pasta without the sauce and give it to the stray cats and dogs in the village. However, all villagers would take care of the strays. Good life 😇
Just made this with a few changes. I used Kale, no chilli and conchiglie. It was amazing! Seriously, going to be my go to whenever I have guests, so easy as well. Thank you!
Trust me, as a fellow Italian, if you had someone as passionate about cooking as Gennaro as a family member you would consider yourself very lucky. I wish I had a Zio Gennaro!
Wish I could get sausage anywhere near that quality where I live, can get some half decent ones at the butchers but they're more like glorified tesco finest
Gennaro makes every dish look like the best recipe in the world. I bet if I watched a video of him putting butter on the bread I would want to eat only bread and butter.
I love this recipe! We were originally sceptical of it at first but now it’s all we make when we have sausages in the house. Often our sausages are Welsh Dragon sausages and so we tend to omit the chilli you add to the pan. I’ve also found that using chicken stock instead of pasta water makes everything so much tastier and richer. Nonetheless this dish has become a quick family favourite, so thanks for that!
Not hard to see how Jamie became so passionate about great food, So lucky to be taught by the joyful Gennaro. Always a pleasure to watch the great man in action
how much he loves his own food is inspirational, he is his biggest fan
the bravest love of all!
And in the freezing wearing a leather jacket. Guys gotta be workin for Tony Soprano..
I love how he became a blacksmith at the end.
Cooking and Smithing levels 99/99.
It will KEAL.
I'm dying with that comment holy crap
I probably would have done then same thing.
I loved his comment years ago when he asked Jamie Oliver to time him, he said "Clock me". I loved that.
"Hallelujah!"
I wish I had as much enthusiasm to be alive as this man has for his pasta.
I love how he's cooking this dish like our parents and grandparents grew up. No fancy equipment, no special ingredients.
Just a bit of skill, a knife and fire.....and a buttload of passion. Gennaro, you are a true inspiration, please keep on putting smiles on our faces !
I second that thought!

You have never seen anything like an Italian man tasting something delicious.
It’s almost disbelief.
Outstanding Gennaro.
Sorry but those who disliked this videos must be all jealous farmers who didn't get served food by Gennaro when farming
maybe they were tractor men who didnt get to taste it
I just love how italians cook. Simple joyful with that almost carpe diem thing❤

I love Gennaro and his recipes. He’s so resourceful, creative, enthusiastic about life and cooking a good meal. He reminds me of my grandfather.
I see Gennaro on my notif, i stop whatever I’m doing and i watch ❤️
"Little olive oil" six seconds later... "Abundant olive oil"
By true Italian standards, that is a little.
@@TimN-5 that's probably why he drizzled it with olive oil two more times..
You can tell why he gets along with Jamie so well

I love bella italia ❤
I love when he takes a bite of the pasta off the plate with his hands once he's offered it to the 'tractor man'! He just can't resist. Love him.
It is special feeling when you feed someone and they are happy. One of greatest pleasures for me is to see my family enjoying my cooking...

Gennaro is such a wholesome guy, I could watch him cook and fool around for hours!
Mr. Contaldo looks like a mob boss, and he's at a place that looks like where he does all the "interrogation".
The knife he's using is only a part time kitchen knife lol
Authentic and easy to follow recipes!!!! This guy knows what he is doing

The rustic flavours of the sausage marry any pasta to create a truly wonderful dish
Your natural Italian is the best seasoning of your videos! Hugs from Brazil!
