I Personally Think These Baggers By Victory Motorcycles ARE The BEST Looking Baggers/Cruisers That Money Can Buy!! Same For Indian Motorcycles As Well, The Chieftain For Example Is Another Gorgeous Bagger!! And As Soon As You Put A Big 26 inch front Wheel On These Already Gorgeous Bikes, Then It Just Sets These Babies On Fire(In A Good Way LoL). Hey, Awsome Video Dudeskiii
I'm seriously considering one of these. I like the style of it. It seems to be in the same performance ballpark as my Roadliner S. So I don't think I'll be giving anything up but I'd gain a taller final gear, fuel capacity, a fairing, stereo and cruise... plus 'Merica.
Much better than harley, too bad people still go for a brand instead of more bang for their buck. I think it was a mistake to get rid of victory, Harley's just look old to me and have a lot of issues aside from being way over priced.
Great review! I am 6'5" and my 2015 Vic Cross Country 8 Ball fits me Great. In California, the stage 2 cams cannot be fitted [legally] .I have the Victory stage one. made a big difference. My first long ride was 300 miles. After 4 + hrs,I got to my friends house in Lompoc California. The seat is the best of any motorcycle I have owned in 47 yrs. I got off the bike ,and was not tired at all.We then went and rode for 6 more hours. I also own a Triumph 955I Sport Tour. Have used it for yrs for touring, but the Victory is a much better Touring bike. I now use the Triumph for short runs thru the canyons of So.Cal
I've heard that from multiple people, after riding for a long period on a victory they experienced very little fatigue compared to when riding a top of the line harley or other brand cruisers, I guess the seat has a lot to do with it, I imagine if you add a back rest then you will definitely tell a huge difference.
I rode a 2017 and liked the look, nice paint and design. I was dissapointed in the comfort level especially the vibration. Compared to the Indian and Harley Davidson road glide. I preferred the Harley first, then the Indian and the Victory was dissapointing as I had higher hopes for it. I was considering the Victory for a future purchase as I preferred its looks to the Indian. The Harley wasnt available until last month so I tried it and was impressed with the new engine and the overall handling and power of the bike. "Ride what you like and like what you ride, but just ride man, just ride" and ride safe.
Just saw this. I've always liked everything about the Victory motorcycles. Finally I'm getting to a point where I can afford a motorcycle again and am thinking of getting this one or a Cross country Tour. You mention the wind on the helmet, I'm curious how tall you are. I'm 5' 10" I don't want to have a lot of buffering.
I already have a high ball but and eyeing the now highly discounted magnums and cross countries and my local dealer. I'd love something I can ride longer on.
Love my victory hammer, the 2017 hammer S looks Awesome EXCEPT for the headlight....the aggressive headlamp made the bike and they took it away, think they fucked up on that one aspect
Nice review, I really like these bikes. I just don't like the speakers in the bags. I'm not into all that stuff. I would get one if they didn't have the speakers in them
What handlebars are on this? I have a 16 Cross Country and I don't believe I can raise them up as far as these look. And from looking at pictures of the 17 magnums they look just like mine, however yours are straight up and look awesome. I want them.
1400IntruderVS I have the octane it's a great bike but right now they are having starter problems at around 2500miles but have warranty and some have a cluster problems from factory also under warranty but still a great bike
That is the same engine as all their bikes. they are purposely detuned from the factory. the old 100cu motors had 9.5\1 compression the 106 is 8.5\1 thats why they make less power. They can easily handle 11\1 and Weisco makes pistons with Lloyds motorworks i added to my 100 plus Lloyds VM1 cams and fuel controller and I'm pushing 113rwhp thats 28 more than stock 106. yes it cranks over more like a Harley now but never fails to start.
+DZenitram23 it's definitely a heavy bike, but I think you should be able to touch solidly. Just be careful in low speed / stop and go. Once the bike is moving it's light and easy
Keep in mind you can have the shop lower the bike to fit you. They also come with air ride suspension which allows you to adjust to your weight or prefered responsiveness as well.
If you go to build the motorcycle on Victory's website, there's an optional handlebar called "Mid Rise Handlebar - Black". I believe that's the bar that this bike was fitted with. Here's the link: www.victorymotorcycles.com/en-us/baggers/magnum-red/customize#cat=categoryID-1294&kit=undefined&kits=&cpackage=undefined&apackage=undefined
+Kischardio thank you for the information. that set up is way cooler than stock and it seemed to handle very well as evidenced in your awesome video. thanks again.
You must be talking about a 300cc sport bike. Vic’s are notoriously slow. I own a Kawi Concours 14. Super fast for a touring bike. If the Vic’s had more power, they may have sold better. I surely would have bought one, but still have a need for speed.
+John Cox Agreed. HD has some legendary brand loyalty. Victory is still relatively young, though, and over time I think it will steal more market share. They just need to keep offering more bang for less buck.

Indian outsold victory by a lot. First year Indian was out, sold more than what Victory had sold in like 5 years.

MCTeck So is putting aftermarket full exhausts but that doesn't stop many bike riders California sucks and I live there.

Think I'll sell the highball and get me one of these. In my opinion. Best looking bike out.
The dash makes me feel like I'm looking at a robot ... eyes -mouth
JDRTRM JDRTRM haha yeah, a few people have mentioned that!
Looks more like a GIANT bug to me... LOL
I literally cant unsee it now lmfao
A guy in town has a lime green one it looks so sick.
What is the price bike

Totally agree!
My '05 Hammer has the BIG round headlight which I MUCH prefer over the goofy looking SNOUTY "aggressive" headlight. To each their own. :)
Wow, really. You said it best... to each his own!
Good backfire on down shifts? Better send the ECU to Lloyds.
After victory closed shop, would you still buy new leftover?
Mr MegaTruong I know what you mean. The local dealer has a x1 but I don't know if it's a dead bike or worth buying
inner fairing and gauges make it look like a wacky robot with big ears
mb19842002 funny I just typed and totally agree with what you typed haha. .
Is that stock bars? Can you move those backwards and forward?
Nice review, I really like these bikes. I just don't like the speakers in the bags. I'm not into all that stuff. I would get one if they didn't have the speakers in them
I'm loving it. Looks solid, smooth, and comfy.
Is the acceleration STRONG? For a 1700, I'd expect some serious jump.
SUPER REPUBLICAN the acceleration is definitely impressive. I really liked the performance on this bike.
Kischardio
I seriously think I've just found my new bike. Thanks for the review!
Nice bike , glade you like it, should serve you well . I ride a Harley and love it ,I always liked the Victory .
like how you used the radio on the review
What handlebars are on this? I have a 16 Cross Country and I don't believe I can raise them up as far as these look. And from looking at pictures of the 17 magnums they look just like mine, however yours are straight up and look awesome. I want them.
+PrettyRicky218 I believe these are called "Mid rise handlebar - black" on Victory's build website. They were great!
Found you from Motorcycle Animo!
What is that Orange bike next to your test ride??
Lucky to get 7k. Then another 4k to set it up. Reality sux eh?
Are they stock bars just turned up or what are those bars called?
Great review ... not sure though I could ever bring myself to buy a victory yet.
I would like to hear your perspective on the Victory Octane
1400IntruderVS I have the octane it's a great bike but right now they are having starter problems at around 2500miles but have warranty and some have a cluster problems from factory also under warranty but still a great bike
That is the same engine as all their bikes. they are purposely detuned from the factory. the old 100cu motors had 9.5\1 compression the 106 is 8.5\1 thats why they make less power. also lloydz has a bolt on supercharger for these that pushes it up to about 160-180 HP
I have the octane I know the size is a big difference but do u think the weight would be to much for me I'm 5'5" n right now selling at 17k
+DZenitram23 it's definitely a heavy bike, but I think you should be able to touch solidly. Just be careful in low speed / stop and go. Once the bike is moving it's light and easy
Kischardio thanks will test drive it after i pick up my octane from the shop
Keep in mind you can have the shop lower the bike to fit you. They also come with air ride suspension which allows you to adjust to your weight or prefered responsiveness as well.
Do you have a internal mic in your helmet and if so is it connected to your action camera?
Yes, I do. I adjusted the wind protection after this video, so my more recent reviews have had better quality sound.
I noticed you never shifted into 6th gear....
Did you not know there was one more?
Starting at 9:55 I'm in 6th gear. It was extremely smooth in 6th gear. All of these 17 Victory bikes were very, very smooth in 6th gear.
what kind of camera and headset are you using?
Sheldon Caldwell GoPro Hero 4 Black, Sony lapel microphone
I notice these bikes do not have stock handle bars. Any idea whose bars?
If you go to build the motorcycle on Victory's website, there's an optional handlebar called "Mid Rise Handlebar - Black". I believe that's the bar that this bike was fitted with.

+Jonathan Thompson glad you enjoyed!
What is your personal bike?
I ride a Yamaha Road Star Warrior as my power cruiser. I also have a sport bike... Yamaha Fz-09
FZ-09's are awesome!
what motorcycle will fit a 5'4
Victory Gunner
I'm 5' 6" & my Magnum fits me fine.
Thats the only bagger that can keep up with a sports bike
You must be talking about a 300cc sport bike. Vic’s are notoriously slow. I own a Kawi Concours 14. Super fast for a touring bike. If the Vic’s had more power, they may have sold better. I surely would have bought one, but still have a need for speed.
needs a GPS
WeekendWarrior I send that GPS idea
They Ain't gonna make no more Victorys, so i dunno about that
+WeekendWarrior which is shit
Victories never really caught on. I see one now and then, maybe one Victory to 100 H-Ds.
+John Cox Agreed. HD has some legendary brand loyalty. Victory is still relatively young, though, and over time I think it will steal more market share. They just need to keep offering more bang for less buck.
It's a revolution man... it takes time... I love HD, but the VICs are just superior machines. The mystique part HD will always OWN.
John Cox youre right man, victory is shitting down... these guys were wrong
Since they're going belly up, they are probably gonna be pretty cheap.
what a shame great bikes rip victory
R.I.P. Victory motorcycles
At this point you might as well just get a car...
6Twisted, Neh
It bothers me to think that a 1983 Honda Magna 1100 is faster than any other cruiser made today.
Time to sell ... they will drop in price
That's it from Victory, you will never get any better from that brand. Of course you can purchase an Indian...
Paul Bahre, The Indians aren't gonna be better than the Vics??
Uh oh.. im watching this as view number 66,666. bad omen for sure. im not buying one of these
Victory sucked.
