- In this tutorial, I will show you how to install a PCIe WiFi 6e card, in my case the Gigabyte Aorus GC-WBAX210 into your PC and install the proper drives so that the card is recognized and functioning properly and so that your PC is able to connect to your 6GHz WiFi band for better speeds and less interference from your WiFi. The GCWBAX210 also includes Bluetooth 5.2 which I will also show you how to get up and running as well.

You are simply the Best!!! Thank you so much for your unmatched help.
Excellent video, what you need to know from putting the card on the mobo, to install up to date drivers:)
Thx for the driver link. I've only used ethernet cable for my gaming computers for years. This adapter is my first experience with a wifi connection for my PCs.
hows it going with it?
QUICK TIP:
If your motherboard does not come with pcie x1 slots......you CAN plug these wifi cards into a pcie x16 slot (the same slot you plug a GPU into)
I just returned this Wi-Fi card because my video card is too big and just closes pci e slot. Bruh.

Good shit man I was stressing
This was very helpful. My issue was having the USB in the wrong slot. Thanks!
were you having bluetooth issues? I seem to having some and I wonder if it's because I stilled it into a random USB header.
@@Slambear Yes I had issues until I plugged the new wifi adapter into the correct USB header on the motherboard.
It doesn’t show the thing where I can choose what Wi-Fi I want to connect to, like I only have the option to do Ethernet
This is a perfect video. Very concise and easy to understand and the music is the perfect volume. I'm thinking of putting a tp-link card in my desktop. My question is, do I need to uninstall or disable the old software before downloading the drivers for the new card?
Thanks for stating that you have to plug in the usb header for bluetooth. I have only 1 USB header on my motherboard and removed my PCIe wifi card since I connected my fan hub to the USB header. Now to get a splitter.
thanks for the help!
Thank you so so much you are a life saver!!
Great video!
Thankyou thankyou thankyou so much I’m liking and subscribing
I don't know if you'll know the answer to this question but I wanted to get the wbax2400r as it is newer, but not sure if it's better. Please let me know?
Don’t unplug the power supply just turn it off you are gunna want to keep your pc grounded and touch the psu every few minutes to prevent static shock and ruining your pc
Touching ur psu? Is this a metaphor?
@@d4mterro320It stops static buildup which could ruin ur whole pc
Static wrist strap?
It may be good practice but modern PCs are simply not this fragile
Yes it's being proven static won't short anything
What kind of file transfer speeds do you get on average? PC to laptop or vice versa (I know they will be subject to you hardware, but just thought I'd ask)
I installed the card into the appropriate slots and the cable as well as the cables. When I was attempting the setup I installed the WBAX210 drivers from when they were on windows 10. I then installed the drivers from intel and restarted but the Bluetooth component is not working
i got it plugged in and everything although it says my oc ran into a problem and won’t start, i’ve looked into the advanced problems and tried to fix it, restart it and nothing is seeming to work, may you know maybe what’s the problem
This tutorial is great
After completing all the steps in the same manner as you, my wifi network properties still say 6GHZ internet. What should i do from here to get the 6GHZ? Thank you and great video!😀
Why when I install it I notice in amd adrenalin software my cpu temp is showing "0" but when I unhook the card it starts showing my temp again?
Thano you so much ❤❤❤
Is this compatible with any mother board?
My antena is not working, it's literally off and i can't connect to wifi
i have dell 9010 sff and I don't know where to plug the cable. can u help me cuz i need the Bluetooth function
Quick question does it matter which pcie you buy for your motherboard, and if so im buying the Asus prime b450m-A II (Amd), is this pcie compatible with my amd motherboard?
Another thing is when i searched this pcie on amazon there is 1 antenna, i dont see a antenna on yours does you have to use it?
Any pcie card will work. You do need to use the antenna. I connect my antenna at 4:05.
Does this card work if my cpu is amd ryzen 5 2600?
I have a problem, all my devices have wifi, but my pc is saying "connect" but without internet, what do I do?
Help! My windows 11 wont boot after i install my wifi card in! It boots once and i test it and its all good, driver update too, but on next boot its doesnt boot windows
can u use a usb 3.2 header
i have no wifi in my home at the moment. so if i put this card in, is it a built in wifi that only my pc can use?
No, this only picks up existing wifi signals.
I have the same wifi card, wifi is working but PC still does not have Bluetooth connectivity even after installing the drivers. HELP ME PLEASE
i just get a message that says "this software package cannot be installed on your system" no matter what i do or how many times i try
I don’t get it. Does this act as it’s own Wi-Fi like a mini router or does it just improve the Wi-Fi I have in my home
It lets your PC connect to wifi.
@@TheHowToGuy123 yeah but i have no wifi in my home at the moment. so if i put this card in, is it a built in wifi that only my pc can use?
@@ast2467 No, you will need a wifi to use this card. However it will allow your computer to connect to a hotspot on your phone.
@@TheHowToGuy123 does it become self sufficient after ive downloaded the drivers or will it always need to be connected to my hotspot
@@ast2467 It's not self sufficient. If it's not connected to your hotspot your have no internet.
why I don't have any wifi after I swap a new gpu.
Would the updated drivers still work if you have amd not intel?
Yes. The wifi card uses an Intel chip and is independent of your CPU.
Great video ! And how to check whether my router supports 5ghz channel or not..
The best way to find out which bands your router supports is to just google it's specs or click around in the router settings. Most modern routers support the 5GHz band, but 6GHz is fairly new and only supported on routers made in the last couple of years.
Quick question, I just ordered my first pc and forgot to add the Wi-Fi option 😅 so I’ve been looking into vids like this and it seems pretty straight forward I have a intel i5 with windows 10 would it still work? My motherboard is a Gigabyte Intel H610M Motherboard so would it already have Wi-Fi/ the slot to plug it into? Thank you.
It looks like the motherboard that your new PC comes with only has one PCIe slot, which will be used for the graphics card. So you most likely won't be able to use this card in your PC.
@@TheHowToGuy123 what can I do then?
@@Chwisaaa You can either get a USB WiFi adapter or an Ethernet power line adapter (easiest way to get Ethernet without running cables).
@@TheHowToGuy123 what would you recommend out the two?
@@TheHowToGuy123 it would work I’ve checked with the company another tech guy and my mates the graphics has nothing to do with that slot that needs adapter
My wifi card stop working for bluetooth and only wifi works how to fix this?
For the Bluetooth option does the WiFi card come with those cables or do I have to buy them separately?
All necessary cables are included.
@@TheHowToGuy123 thanks I was worried I would have to buy it separately 😅
Do I need to plug my wifi card into pcix1 slot? Mine is being used so I put it into the 2 slot
That will also work.
Noob question here. What if I skip the USB-A to USB-A cable connecting step? If I just put the PCIe WiFI into the slot, will it work on its own without using any other cables?
WiFi will work, but Bluetooth will not.
@@TheHowToGuy123 Thank you for clarifying that the USB step is optional. I don't think I have any free slots but I really don't care about the Bluetooth function, The WiFi is all I need atm.
Do you have to connect the USB cable? The ASROCK RACK ROMED8-2T doesn't have this header.
The USB cable is only needed if you want Bluetooth, otherwise you can do without it
Thanks. I think my issues were clearly not related to that cable.
after i installed and restared my pc i checked the speed test and it remained the same at 10 mbps
My Wi-Fi only uses 500mbs of data usage. I download at 40mbs and upload at 20mbs. What should I do to increase performance. This is a custom computer btw, so I didn't know how to setup the computer so that all of the drivers are up to date, and what settings were right for good performance.
I know this is late but don’t use UA-cam as a substitute for google
Figure out if your drivers are up to date but you probably just got a shitty wifi card
@@deucedeucerims Ye that's what I was thinking because the wireless connection to the Wi-Fi from my PC doesn't even reach 50 feet.
thx carrying me bro
Im running into an issue with the bluetooth not working, so i checked events and it said further installation required?
I'm having the same issue, i downloaded the drivers, wifi works fine right off the bat but bluetooth doesn't pop up in the device manager or anything.
Did you find any solutions?@@TheToxic163
I apologise if this is a stupid question. Would the intel drivers work on an AMD machine? Are the drivers for the chipset on the card? Ty
The drivers are for the Intel chipset on the WiFi card so it doesn't matter if you have an AMD CPU.
Same case and board brand as me this is funny
Which wifi and bluetooth card can I use for Gigabyte Aorus Pro V2 motherboard?
Any pcie wifi card will work.
I dont think anybody can help but Ive followed these instructions at least twice now and the bluetooth, while it does "connect", the connection is extremely unstable, poor, or downright nonfunctional... unsure what to do.
sooooo you went to an intel website to get the drivers for windows 11 but i have a ryzen cpu. can i still use the intel website?
I also have a ryzen cpu and it won’t even pop up what do I do
Same here. I have a Ryzen 9 5950X and I don’t know which drivers to download
Figured it out. Install the intel driver that he is mentioning in the video. The reason is because the WiFi card itself uses an intel ax210 chipset
@@renevelazquez8061good information thanks !
@@renevelazquez8061 thanks so much i kept trying to figure this out
Well mine kept blue screening & I think I’m screwed
I bought a wifi card but i didnt have this big case. It was just the card. Is there a way I can install it myself? If theres one, how?
As long as it's a pcie card, you can install it the same way as I installed mine in the video.
How do I download and instal drivers if I am not able to connect to the internet. Connecting via an Ethernet cable is not an option for me.
Download them on another computer and transfer them with a USB flash drive.
Could someone please help me out? I e plugged in the wifi adapter and set up the antenna. Only issue is that I still can’t connect to the internet. No available networks show up and it tells me to change settings. I’m not very great with computers sorry.
Hey let me know if you found a solution!
What if your motherboard comes with Wi-Fi? Mine is a B660M DS3H AX DDR4 Wi-Fi, and it comes with a Wi-Fi antenna. Do we use that one or this one?
Yep use the one on the motherboard. No point in buying a pcie card, especially since the wifi on the motherboard supports wifi 6.
@@TheHowToGuy123will this Wi-Fi card increase the download speed of the Wi-Fi?
@@andynguyen6670 It won't be much of an improvement over the one on your motherboard. Not worth it in my opinion.
Btw, if your computer comes with wifi... just get an antenna lol if you install this to your motherboard your PC won't know what to do and will just blue screen. Just use the antenna 😅
I’m having a super weird issue with this exact card-when I install it, my PC won’t boot! All of my lights flicker when I hit the power button, but shut off as soon as I let it go. (If I hold the button they just flick on and off.). As soon as I uninstall the WiFi card, my PC boots and runs fine.
I’ve tried both of my PCIe x1 slots, and tried forcing the slots to Gen 1 and Gen 3, but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
i have the same issue and i try to know why :/
I was able to test my card in another PC and it didn’t have the same issue (just had to install Intel WiFi drivers), so I’m thinking it was something specific about either the combination of my motherboard and this card, or that my motherboard doesn’t like having my PCIe x1 slots populated at all
I am getting BSOD for some reason
What if I have an AMD processor? Which drivers should I install?
The Intel ones. Intel makes the WiFi chipset on this WiFi card which is why we install intel drivers. This is independent of the CPU. The computer that I used in this video also uses an AMD CPU.
I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand because I don't speak English and I want to ask
If I connect the network card using a USB cable that plugs into the motherboard, will I have access to bluetooth? Or does only bluetooth work if I make USB-A to USB-A connection?🙏🙏
Only works with usb A to usb A connection
so i Just got this same wifi card and downlaoded all my drivers and everything is working fine exept for games whenever i try to play any game it lags super bad does anyone know how to fix it
Make sure your Wi-Fi Driver is up to date.
Hiw am i supposed to install thise drivers if j cant access the website without internet????
Download them on a another computer or your phone and transfer via USB...
@@TheHowToGuy123 I figured it out. It was really stupid of me lol. Just had to put my USB antenna back in and hope it connected to the internet. Thankfully it worked!
Sorry I quick question my wifi card is a Realtek PCI GBE Ethernet Family controller but on the website it does not have the drivers for windows 11 what do I do then?
Realtek PCI GBE Ethernet Family controller is not a wifi card and is most likely the ethernet port on the motherboard. If you are looking for a driver for it, I'd look up the page for your motherboard and there should be a driver for it there.
@@TheHowToGuy123omg I’m sorry I just figured that out the wifi card was not popping up after installation it is a TX-5B22 Wireless Lan Card

Somebody wasn't watching the video, lol. That's the bluetooth connection to your mobo.
@@raincadeify the other usb port the one that connects to a regular usb cable
@@lemanael8199 Not sure what you mean .. but the internal usb modules look different than the external ones. On the back of the card is port that you plug the cable into and that plugs into the motherboard to connect the bluetooth; if that answers your question.
The pcie slot is for the wifi, if you only use that then you don't get bluetooth, which you may not need.
