When you need an ethernet cable to install your wifi adapter, then there is a serious design flaw.
LOL good point
When you have to use your old WiFi card to install the drivers for you new WiFi card! Literally what I’m doing XD
Thanks android making phone like a modem, changed my life
thats what im facing now, and luckly i have a mesh wifi, and put it next to the pc for network
My etherned doesn't even work anymore since like month 2 of having pc. Stuck with wifi which now doesn't work
What is the end that attaches to the card with the white plastic called? I need a wire to go from the PCIe card to a USB-A style port, not the USB-F/header port.
what port did you plug it into on your mobo? i have almost an identical card to you and i don't know where to plug it in. It didn't come with any instructions. it's a 10 pin plug that goes into the mobo.
Ethernet? Why?!? Just download the drivers for the new card while you still have wifi on the old card.
Careful, what kind of canned air you use? You can sort out your pc. Js
i would like to add, for people saying using the ethernet cable to install drivers is a design flaw: i agree. but you can (at least on my phone) connect your phone to your computer with a data cable, and use your phone as a portable hotspot
Yes! That's what I've had to do when trying to fix mine.
Does that work with Iphone?
Could I use an iPhone
I came here for help thinking id get wifi instantly to work on my PC, but apparently my pc is ethernet hardwired... what do i do? I clicked check for updates, then it says i need to connect to wifi. But i font have an ethernet cable to begin with
Do I have to worry about the whole Ethernet cable thing if I didn’t have a old WiFi card to begin with 😊
I would buy for quest 3 ( Vr headset ) and i hope this can do the Wifi 6E on Windows 11 . Do you know it is t
do this ?
I was going to buy this for Quest 3 too. Did this work for you? If not, what did you buy to get WiFi 6E?
Can the card work in x16 slot?
great video
I have a wifi card installed it correctly and all but it doesn’t show up any tips
not sure about that one, luckily after installing two different ones, both worked right away. You could always return it and try a different one to see if that one works.
Any idea why the wifi would work but not the bluetooth? I've tried reinstalling the recommended drivers
In case this helps anyone: All I had to do was switch the USB port I was using on my motherboard. I have an Asus Prime X570-P with an AMD 3900X. I originally had it installed in the USB11 port (which is a USB 2.0 port, side note: it will not work in a 3.0 port) but for whatever reason it did not like that. Simple fix was installing the usb cable into the USB910 port instead (literally right next to the USB11 port). No idea why this worked but it did.
Why when I hook this up I notice in amd adrenalin app my cpu temp says "0".? When I unhook the card it goes back to showing my normal temps.
I think you need to reinstall your amd software, it happens to me too
Is it possible to de-attach this ax210 wifi card from main board (unscrew) and use it in laptop? Thanks!
not sure about that, i suppose if it fits and is the same connection, maybe but probably is made for desktops only
I installed it but I still can’t connect to wifi without my cable
drivers
The any wifi card work on amd or intel?
instructions not clear , what slot is it I have to plug the wire into for the wifi card?
Seems to be an F_USB (front USB).
Basically, along the row of pins at the “front” of the motherboard, you should see one or two pin sets for USB 2.0 headers. You should look at your motherboard’s manual to figure out which these are since they’re labeled differently with different brands.
Hope this helps.
My gpu kinda block pciex1 slot on my mAtX mobo what to do?
If you have another full size pcie slot, you could also use that
1:36 when you got this this part did you have an Ethernet cable connected to your pc from you main wifi so you can update the driver?
yes that's how I updated it on mine
@@fishbeeproductreviews what do you do if you don't already have an ethernet cable connected?
@@Nat-ps6yydownload driver zip file to your phone. Plug your phone to pc
@@sfl-new-homeswhich driver zip file? And where do I find that?
U can use USB wifi adapter
@@Nat-ps6yy
It says i cant update since i dont have wifi… but i want to install the wifi card… so silly. What should i do?
i would plug in ethernet cable if possible
@@fishbeeproductreviews so i did! Thanks. So weird that you have to use an ethernet cable to install a wifi card. If ethernet cable was a viable option, i wouldnt have bought a wifi card. A longer ethernet cable seemed to do the trick though
can i use this card also for my laptop
i don't think so, this is a desktop version
Will this work on my Wi-Fi 5 motherboard asrock B560M
Yes. Modern wifi cards are backwards compatible which means it'll work with older motherboards if that's what you have
@@Dutch_df ok thx
@@lillfear no problem, I wish you the best for your pc building
I had a bit of a journey with this one, lol. I don't know anything about computer building but I figure I'd put in some things not mentioned in case anyone comes to the same issues.
1. The cable in the old card was hard as shit to take out. Ended up having to using some flat tweezers on the the end of the cable to pull it out. I used a bit of force on just pulling the wires and I was scared that if i used anymore force that something might snap. Probably wouldn't have but I figured I'd be safe
2. There was an input on the motherboard that confused the hell out of me because it mirrored the end of the new cable ( so it doesn't fit). I wasn't able to see which one it was because the cables had been organised behind the motherboard. I ended up pulling out a cable with the same amount of wires (with different colours) right next to the input that mirrored the new cable. It seems obvious that you pull out the other end of the old cable connected to the motherboard but it wasn't mentioned so I was a bit worried about doing it. That being said there are probably other motherboards with more than just one of these inputs but I dunno.
3.The drivers did not show up when I tried to automatically search for it. I updated all the drivers but It didn't work. The manual has a QR code that will take you to the right driver. Alternatively just google the name of the wifi card and I ended up at Asus site where I also found it. You'll get an installer that gives you the option for both the wifi and bluetooth and I installed both.
After the installation the wifi option came back and everything worked. I looked at a lot of videos for this and this video was the best of all the other videos for installing this wifi card that I had found, so thank you for the good help.
Do I need an Ethernet cable to install this because I don’t have one
it makes it easier but technically you could download the drivers before taking out the old wifi card
man do i really need the drivers for it to work properly
sort of a toss up, it might install them automatically and you won't have to mess with them
My GPU is so close to the port of the Wi-Fi card
Is AMD supported?
not sure, my system is intel
Wow how useful 🙄 video should be titled “how to REPLACE a PCIE card”
The second slot on the motherboard, what a joke
this is not a great tutorial
Sorry I tried
@@fishbeeproductreviewsit is ignore him 😊
This is unethical. Your description is INSTALLING, not replacing. What a scam.
never thought how to install a wifi card video would trigger people LOL
@@fishbeeproductreviews when you install something, you're doing it for the first time usually. You should explain it like that. I had no clue if I had plug the cable in or not. Sometimes assuming everyone knows everything you do, especially in an "INSTALL" video, can trigger people. What's the point of taking the time to make the video if you don't actually care?
I just got a card loke this and installed it, also attached the cable and installed drivers. Bluetooth shows up now, but when I try to connect any devices, no devices show up in there? It just doesnt find any? Do you know how to fix this?
driver issue i think
