My family owned hundreds of acres of land in south 24 parganas. There used to several baghrol in our Baas bagan (bamboo forest) not just baghrol but also jackals, hares, hundreds of species of birds but back in 2009-2010, out of nowhere, thousands of illegal immigrants, just barged in with the help of then govt. And slashed down the entire forest and set up their tents there. All the wild animals are gone. The immigrants made permanent houses now. More than the property i feel sad for the animals who lived there.
Fantastic people of Paddapukur I salute you, and all the conservationists in India.
