      Nice one Simon, I don’t think you could get a more eloquent explanation of the current situation than this.
      If you’re going to take a political stance, that’s fine, no one has a problem with that.
      Just keep it off the pitch, it’s supposed to be a place of sportsmanship, not protest.

    I think Simon has touched on something when he talks about there being no answer to why there are no black football managers. I am on forums in my local area where people talk about minor crime - vandalism, petty theft etc etc. But no one will report it to the police. People just like to moan but wont do anything about it. A tree fell down just along the road from me a while ago, and most people's answer was to put something on the forum about it. I phoned the council on the Monday and they sent someone out to remove the tree. If I hadn't done something myself, nothing would have been done!! It maybe doesn't answer why there are no black managers, but it will confirm that they do like to moan about it. Am sure many teams would not care what colour their manager is, as a long as he (or she lol) won them the league!!!!!

      He used to own Crystal Palace, which is a shame really, Palace used to be a great team until the teams with the big bucks owners took over, unfortunately for most teams in the premier league and the lower leagues, they don’t have a look in, it’s roughly 5 or 6 teams sitting at the top and the rest haven’t a hope in hell, I wish Jimmy Hill hadn’t helped to remove the player wage cap, you’d have more teams competing for the title rather than a monopoly, as was evident recently in the “Breakaway League” where no one gets relegated. You can thank, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and the like for that one.

A quota system would be a disaster and would be objectively racist and bigoted.

    The way that they’ve painted America is not necessarily accurate. There is a reason they say “don’t ask about the guilt of the offenders”. When they teach merit is racist, then you’ve got to ask is America really as racist as the media, sports (much owned by the CCP). There are people who believe and would have us all believe we as people of color are more oppressed today than during the 60’s civil rights. Love your channel but when Brits say “we don’t have the same racism as America” I think we have a wrong perception. Our true racism is the bigotry of low expectations, and that we have in spades.

    I quite like the patronising anti-racism message Sky Sports broadcast just before the kick off of a game. Gives me time to have a quick pee and put the kettle on without missing anything. On another note opposing all forms discrimination is not a good message. It makes total sense to discriminate against a convicted s** predator when looking for a babysitter!

    His point about the self-employed and their tax declaration was on point. I heard on radio 4 a year ago some self emplyed person saying that the government support would be minimum wage and there was no way he could survive on that. Well, that support was based on his declared taxable income. If he cant live on what he declared he used to live on, wheres all that cash he didnt declare?

    • @matthewbazeley2984
      @matthewbazeley2984 3 роки тому

      It can depend on timings. HMRC look at a minimum of the last 2 years declared income. If you went self employed in the last month of tax year 1, they would treat that one month's earnings as a whole years earnings when calculating your payment.
      In this scenario, someone who earned and declared an income of 20k a year would get around 8k ín the grant.
      If they made a loss in their first year, like many new businesses, they would get even less.

    Good stuff here. +ve discrimination can work but it is rare from what I see. Locally Sol Campbell was a gifted footballer but at Macclesfield Town he quickly alienated the players and some support staff as the focus from him was on his own performance as opposed to the team. Perhaps gifted players struggle to transmit down to mere mortals. Loads of top footballers fail in management.

    Simon Jordan says racism is not a serious problem in England, as if racism is the only malady that could negatively affect a society. Has England erased all its class prejudices? Maybe the coach candidates failed to attend all the correct schools. The proper response to the non-football fans complaining about non-proportional representation among coaches and owners is to ignore them. I have no doubt that if a club's real fans had an existential issue with their selection of coaches, the owners would address their concerns PDQ.

      Show me the timecode on the video where he said that? As he didnt. He spoke about the claim about ‘institutionally racist’, we need to talk in these terms as this is the term the left speak in. No one would say racism doesnt exist, but ‘institutional racism’ is undefined and not allowed to be questioned as a claim. Here in lies the distinction.
