Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. As a continuation of the base game, the mod will allow the player to visit the previously unexplored post-apocalyptic environment of London.
As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain.
Team FOLON® operates as an independent entity responsible for the development of the Fallout: London mod for Bethesda's Fallout 4™ game. We want to emphasize that Team FOLON® is a separate legal entity from Bethesda™, the publisher of Fallout 4™.

Thanks for the invite.
Utterly Humbling to be in the same video as such living legends as Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker. Just…. wow.

You did fantastic.
Never thought I'd see you here! Hi! Love your stuff , big fan.

Hello everyone! For clarification for people who didn't read the description and are slightly confused. The video playing is the old Reveal trailer. The Gameplay one will play in at 8PM GMT.

where can i catch the Q&A?
Is this the official release cuz it's going to take a while for me to fix my computer
@@reyis_here945 No release date yet. At least according to their web page.
I was wondering why the animated UI characters looked different, only then realizing that Vault-Tec originated in the US therefore characters like Vault Boy won't show up. These guys made their own UI cartoon character designs that best fit the UK's version of it in this universe, and all I can say is that I think that they nailed it and I'm digging the style.
Absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this.
Their design is actually based on the protect and Survive nuclear poster from the 70’s
It’s free to play right
Or different advertising?
Same
Only 6 more years to wait.
I love the UK's own approach to underground protection, since Vault-Tec is an American project. PINDAR stations are actually real, and were built in the event of nuclear war, protected against EMPs, and have escape routes if the building above them should collapse. Good attention to detail on making those stations the UK's Vaults. I wonder if they had experiments like the Vaults, or if they were meant to be solely underground shelters.
Given that the British government wasn’t run by the Enclave, I should hope the PINDAR stations were up to spec and on the level about protecting the population.
@@connormclernon26 Well you have to remember that Europe fell into infighting after the war for the fuel reserves in the middle east. Also I wouldn't have been surprised if the Enclave or the free states political factions tried influencing certain key people in Europe just to get something in return or a tech.
So, from what I’ve seen online, Pindar seems to only be for the Ministry of Defense, at least in real life. Did the UK ever have some kind of mass shelter for nuclear survival?
It’s a MoD! Get it?!!
@@callumcc8897 well played! I also thought I saw whatever building MI6 or whatever are in. The one in all the Daniel Craig 007 movies.
Not only is it obviously a different setting than every other Fallout, it just feels like a whole new ip, it’s amazing what’s been accomplished here, really looking forward to full release
Say the line, Nephi!
say the line!
Let's hear Paul Allen's line
So... it should not be called Fallout? Is it this, what you mean?
@@Myuutsuu85 No you fucking dolt, but really don’t get me wrong it’s Fallout it is just very different for it to take place outside of the US since thats Fallout’s whole point, also the UI and having new voiced characters and everything, it’s very much professional and feels like a whole new game made by another big studio
Dude this looks insane. The writing, the Bioshock-style environments, the way it feels new but very Fallout at the same time--incredible.
It does make me want to play Bioshock.
@@Duchess_Van_Hoof Play BioShock.
Play it again.
My Johnny.
I myself felt kind of a Doom3 vibe in it. Truly ominous and interesting - better beginning than original game. :)
It’s just a mod.
@@kevinwebster7868 I mean, it's a dlc sized mod that goes into a part of the fallout world we've never seen before. It's essentially a separate game
this looks beautiful. it's just so weird seeing a Fallout overhaul with no Vault Boy, which adds to the immersion that you're not in the US. great job team!
Most of our underground stations doubled as bomb shelters so it makes sense not to have the Vault Corp in the UK.
@@jamesbrice3267 thats epic
@@jamesbrice3267 Absolutely mental.
You just know that if Bethesda had any say in it, they would force Vault Boy, the Pipboy, Vault Tech, the Institute, the Brotherhood of Steel, Super Mutants and Deathclaws into the game, and then have their writers pull whatever excuses out of their butts to explain why.
Remember, this is Bethesda and Vault Boy is basically the marketable mascot of it so it doesn't matter if it's London, England, or even in China, they WILL find a way to write in their marketable 'icons' of the Fallout series, no matter the completely separate geographical locations and lore saying otherwise!
@@Timmothy_plays well Bethesda did give this game a shout out, so I doubt they'll try to ruin the area since Fallout is mainly set in the US
Mods like this are the reason I shifted from console to PC. 10/10.
This didn’t age well 😅

Thanks everyone for commenting and showing support. To keep things interesting I have changed the Trailer video to 'Fallout in London' by Seph Bentos. In fact, if you are waiting, why don't you check our Radio OSTs!
Thank you to all of the hardwork you all put into the project. I am loving the journey as much as I'm excited for the game itself.
@@aircobraman1375 this is for PC only according to their website
@@aircobraman1375 Playstation does not have good mod support (as someone who plays on Playstation) Playstation doesn't allow for custom assest and as far as xbox goes this probably relys on script extender so it's not possible for xbox either (maybe some outfits or weapons will come to xbox tho).
So no, it will only be on PC.
I personally have so many mod projects I'm looking forward to that I am just working this summer to buy a pretty decent gaming pc so I can play this, skyblivion, skywind, fallout miami, capital wasteland, fo4 nv, project mojave, beyond skyrim, and more
As a Fallout lover (played FO1 years and years ago, and play F3, FNV and F4 a LOT), Londoner, voice-over guy and musician, this looks fantastic. Hit me up if you need more singing or voice overs :)
Personally the thing that has me most excited about this is the high quality voice acting. So many story mods I've played suffer from voice acting that takes me out of the immersion but it looks like this has some top tier talent. Looks sooo much better than I was expecting it to. Sidenote: Elevators are called lifts in the UK :) really small nitpick but had to say something lol. I hope to be able to play this in the future!
@@sei_asagiri The guy literally just said that the voice actors are better than every other modded voice actor, and he’s right. Cut the shit,my guy
And yet they still don't raise their voices to overcome the blaring sirens and alarms.
BTW elevator is still used by a lot of people I don't know where you pulled the lifts thing from but yeah bot are used interchangeable.
@@fiacradoyle7474 For script writing; The main point of difference between the lift and elevator is that the former is used as a British English term, and the latter is used as an American English term. So if your audience prefers British English, then you can go with the term lift, whereas if your audience wants you to speak American English, then use the elevator instead of the lift.
Both, yes, are fine either way, but given the audience, lift would fit better.
@@fiacradoyle7474 We say lift in the UK, as that is the British English term
If you think about it, there won’t be any pipboys, super mutants, brotherhood, enclave, nothing that we are familiar with. The entire experience will be brand new.
Dang that's true. What an incredible undertaking. I know very little about this, only seen its name in passing over the years. I'm definitely gonna be looking more into this
No dog meat? 😟
I'm so excited for it though
Still ghouls though
there may be a tad few references but other than that yeah.
This is like Bioshock placed in A Clockwork Orange universe, I absolutely love it! Love the darker dystopian tone in this, it is a sharp contrast to the western theme of the original Fallout games. You really nailed it with the British sci-fi feel, The Orwellian and H.G Wells vibes stands out.
London is part of the western culture, or do you mean like wild west?
Somehow I never realized that this was a full conversion, not just a place you travel to from the Commonwealth. This looks absolutely _insane._ The people you got involved, the quality of everything from the intro over the voice acting and the levels and amazing sound design all the way to the train actually moving and showing so much. Just...bravo. Seriously amazing what y'all have done. And it isn't even out yet!
Can't wait for Miami though
@@reyis_here945 me too, but finally something beside if the USA, hopefully some good lore in there. Would love to see another country in the next fallout. Bring in some new Factions or just go on in time and let some of the faction to spread around Asia or europe. Would love to see how the other side of the world looks like.
@@zlotywest860 I understand and it is good to see what's going on with the rest of the world in the lore, however there's still a lot we haven't explored ,especially TEXAS, where yes, I am from, on this side of the Atlantic.
@@zlotywest860 My Hope is that fallout 5 will take place there
Not a fan of full conversion mods tho. Breaks all of your other mods and you manually have to change the master file, assuming all of the same dependent assets are utilized by the new esm
Holy moly, the art direction is insane. You can see, hear and feel the amount of effort the devs have poured into this project. If there's some use of existing FO4 assets, you can barely notice it. It's so easy to believe that this world truly belongs to the FO universe. This is a love letter to the series through and through. Really hyped for this project!
by insane do you mean old assets from a game set in america
Lmao there's obviously fo4 assets.
Is this available on playstation?

Oh wow, you guys actually did it!!! 🎉
Damn they got some good talent for their VA's. Two Doctor Who actors, Baldermort doing the intro.
I have high hopes for this mod since it looks great!
Wait that was Baldemort? Hang on...

Lived in London for 10 years and this is impressive! Although like others have said, that was Tower Bridge and we say “lift” instead of “elevator”.
I wonder if they can't change the label from elevator for some reason
@@DogsRNice I keep seeing you in the comments no matter what i watch lol, Sincerely muy shits.
God, this has ALL the hallmarks of British sci-fi. The dark tone and atmosphere, the cutting humor, the architecture, hell even the synthy jingle sounds like something out of a television series. I appreciate the more serious presentation as well, as much as I love how campy Fallout can get it's nice to have some genuine grit be the main course now and again.
I'll have to buy Fallout 4 just to play this once it releases, good lord.
I love how they added the protect and survive infomercial in
Plus, they literally have two Doctor WHOs
It's such a different approach to Fallout than the 1950s capitalist Americana we're used to, and it reminds me of the bits and pieces of British SF I saw on PBS as a kid: Tom Baker's Doctor Who, Blake's 7, The Village; complete with Cold War nuclear war preparation PSAs and a Masonic secret society. I'm looking forward to playing this one, just to see the sights!
@@paulus121212 My only issue with that is that it was introduced in the mid-1970s, a good 25 years after the Fallout universe split off from ours.
@@paulus121212 Yes, a much better addition than the predictable double deckers and phone boxes in every other screen shot.
I just noticed
Sebastian Gaunt might be a reference to Sebastian Yarrik and Ibram Gaunt from 40k
One thing I've always wondered while playing Fallout NV, 3 and 4 is "What are other country's in this game like"
So this mod is definitely gonna be one of my favourites
This mod will be a game changer and I'm rooting for them. We've never got to see the European countries in the games. We've seen some Europeans immigrate to USA at different times, but never got to see the country itself. We also don't really know what the countries were like after the bombs fell. The creator of Fallout wrote in The Fallout Bible that European countries were the losers of The Resource Wars massively. They had to abandon individual identity to conserve resources to stay alive. So no more Germany, Sweden, Iceland, England, Ireland, etc. All became United.
Russia fared a bit better and yet it lost in the end too. United States annexed Canada for their resources by force. Diseenters were executed. There were two powers left standing and that was China and United States. China was like a snake eating its own tail. United States had switched over to Nuclear energy entirely at this point. China became desperate as the final resources were going out. They invade Alaska and yet United States wins and pushes them back. China is desperate and cannot admit defeat and this leads to The Great War as tensions rose.
People like Mr. House and Mr. Bradberton (inventor of Nuka Cola) sensed nuclear war was imminent and prepared for it.
@@Deadsea_1993 i personally would like to see Asian countries in the Fallout universe
According to lore, Europeean countries had their own wars for resources in Middle East. I would love to see a spin-off during that period, where world was not quite destroyed, but it was quite bleak anyway.
I would fucking LOVE a Canada game myself, and I'm American. I just like the idea of seeing a Canadian's perspective of prewar America considering the Americans annexed them.
I've often had the same thoughts, being Australian i can't help but wonder what happened to countries like Australia or New Zealand that are island nations
This looks incredible, truly unlike any mod that I've seen. It honestly looks like an official Fallout game! I've always wanted to see how a Fallout set in a different country would be like and this is so cool to see! You can tell a lot of care went into this project!
I honestly for a second thought it was great stuff 👍👍👍 we need more fallout in different places with ability to play as a actual super mutant, synth, goul, or others. Giving full storylines for each. Also if they took a page from dying light an added in parkour, climbing, an makeshift wep it would make millions.
Thats because theyve secretly got Bethesdas and the Freemasons assistance. Thats why they have the Freemason Compass Square Symbol scattered throughout the mod as you can see in the video. The only reason its there is to signal to other Freemasons that it is under their control. Plus most gamers are too ignorant to know what it means so they can get away with it.
I have F4 but never finished it but I would play the crap out of this FOL, if I can use it without having finished 4.
O actually thought it was official
@@ruicosta6474 Modders been picking up Bethesda's slack since forever. What else is new :P Congrats to the mod team.

This is very interesting. The interaction with Smyth and the synth sound effects make me think of Clockwork Orange. Definitely has potential, has the Fallout dystopian vibe that seems lacking in the official game.
What a pretentious ass comment. Who are you to judge what has potential or not?.
Those sounds after Smythe finishes talking are very reminiscent of the sounds from 70's/80's instructional videos about hazards and dangers to stay away from and to be aware of,very eery and creepy and have a kind of scary dystopian feel to them, some of the info videos from UK tv frightened the life out of me as a kid!
Smyth felt very Mr. House to me, even some of the lines when exiting the building sounded familiar. Not that he's a bad character (I'm sure a lot could be done with him in a full version and he is already more interestingly written than "Father" in F4).
This looks incredible. A wonderful atmosphere, a clear grasp of cultural details, and beautiful audio? Keep it up, and take your time, because this is perfect.
Mind the gap
100% agree. Even mocking the usual confusion of London Bridge and Tower Bridge. If you came out of the far east side onto London Bridge railway station, and went overground (doesn't matter that it's in an underground train), the passing of Tower Bridge on the left like that (south side) is near enough. This train might not stop until Deptford or Greenwich, Greenwich being extremely scenic and full of possibly interesting map destinations. This is just brilliant
As a London resident, thank you for the generous representation of our city.

Skyrim is designed that way, trying to get you to the main quest as soon as possible, having the golden claw quest and the main questline as hooks to the same dungeon and having the dragonstome weigh 25 units making it a burden to lug around with out a place to stay. where as in oblivion my first goal is to establish Basecamp in anvil by way of the haunted ship, only then will i work up the coin to purchase a house.
I was wondering if Sleepwalking was in any of the Fallouts. I’ve only played FO4. But it seems like a natural fit.
I had no idea this project was a completely new game and not just structured like a DLC for the base game. That's fucking awesome! Loved the character creation process, so creative, especially the starting traits with all the little animations!
Incredible. Massive cheers to the Fallout:London team, this feels like a lost FO4 spin off similar to how new vegas was for FO3. Loved the man on the television part, gave me goosebumps and I cannot wait to give this a try when I get my PC
I instantly recognised Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker as the scientists. I already love this.
Pretty cool how this has 80s British Sci-fi aesthetics compared to the 50s aesthetics in pre-war America. Nice way to distinguish them.
The lab had very cool “Brazil” vibes
It's interesting that you get 80s vibes, I felt it was more a 60s/early 70s camp spy-fi feel in the vein of The Avengers, The Prisoner, Doctor Who (Hartnell/Troughton) or James Bond (Niven/Moore/Connery).
I think that's part of the success, they've managed to create a timeless feel that fits the retro-futuristic feel of the world and lets the player project their own reading onto the game. 😁
I’m digging the change in setting. It’s cool to see how things turned out in other countries as well as their tech differences.
The protect and survive jingles being used in the shelter is just pure genius.
I remember them from the movie "Threads", which I suppose isn't all that surprising given it's about a nuclear holocaust in the UK 🙃
Incredible. The fact that you even added Narrowboats onto the canals shows your commitment and level to detail. I cant wait to play this!!!
The amount of time dedicated to all the details is incredible!
And the fact that one of your team members is now officially working for Bethesda, shows time well spent!
I actually can't wait to play this.
This looks incredible. Bravo guys!
Wow. Cannot wait to explore everything.
This looks AMAZING!!!
The little details like the train ticket on the corpse are top-level stuff.
You guys can clearly make your own entire game, not just mods.
@digifalc0087 The computer was also made by Turing Computing Ltd, named after the famous British computer scientist Alan Turing
I like that the perks have a more of an New Vegas style than the new one in Fallout 4
This has the look and feel on point! This looks legit AAA bravo. As an American I cannot wait to journey through London and join up with the Vagabonds.
I have thought for a long time they need to do a fallout based In the UK or China to get a look at how the other nations of the world are doing. I would also love to see a more ocean/island fallout game that explores the effect of mutation (and possible FEV polluting the ocean) on sea life. Fallout has such a strong foundation to work from that Bethesda has not taken advantage of thus far.
Must be a pretty shitty looking AAA game then
What kind of AAA games have you been playing?
Mass Effect: Andromeda?
@@AndrooUK I think what he probably meant was it’s AAA by fallout 4 standards, considering when the game came out and also how bad the story was, this definitely seems like AAA material for 2015
The level of quality and talent working on this MOD is mind blowing, and this team deserves much respect and thanks. So, thanks!
I JUST GOT CHILLS!!!! WAY TO GO GUYS!!!! Why wait for Fallout 5 when you got the modding community

@@TheAgarillobob literally not true, over 80% of the community uses add ons and frequences these, literally check the nexus and mod playerbase rn half of us are from europe and UK alone and the overseas player base are avid modders

@@samurai6331 just installed that
I lost it when Baldermort started talking. Phenomenal.
Glad to see the bombs didn't affect the British upper lip. About to die? "oh what a shame" 12:05
A bullet? How positively dreadful!
I am utterly blown away by the sheer scale and scope of this project. You’ve truly done nothing less than bring post-apocalyptic London into the Fallout universe! Absolutely incredible work! I can’t wait to see what the whole thing looks like!
As a lifelong fan of the franchise I absolutely love the level of attention to detail.
Turing Computers etc the way they did a pass on *every facet* is just amazing and awesome to me
Especially the attention to detail of knowing what a 'torch' is but not a 'lift'.
@@AndrooUK Though no Brit would ever call a torch a flashlight there are many who would call a lift an elevator, the two words are practically interchangeable.
If someone showed me this trailer without me knowing it's mod... I'd say that bethesda finally gave free hand to obsidian to make something in fallout universe that never been done.
Baldermort as the narrator was an unexpected and welcome surprise! What a voice! This looks excellent so far, looking forward to playing the finished product when it's ready.
was just thinking, i have heard that voice somewhere before.. that is so awesome
He has a great voice
I love the simplistic yet extremely expressive designs of the stick figures in the special system and the traits, it’s nice!
They also reminded me a bit of New Vegas where some were give and take in the perks.
God damn that was an incredible intro for a game. Quickly establishes that cold eerieness which reminds one of Bioshock, Dishonored and the like (dystopian steampunk sci-fi maybe?), immediately hooks you in with mystery, and then gives you a small tour of the world you're going to be playing in rather than starting in the most boring area of it (looking at you Sanctuary...)
It's properly atmospheric atompunk, like FO3 and NV were. If the soundtrack stays more in the realm of Mark Morgan and old Zur this could eclipse the mediocrity it was built upon.
I love the fact that it takes place in the UK giving more overall lore about other part of the world. This gets me hype af
I paused the video and read every single perk during the "create your character" section and these are some of the best perks I've seen since New Vegas! Can't wait to see more as the game goes on. Actual roleplaying with give and take. What a concept.
I also love the inclusion of backpacks as part of the core of this game. It always felt weird walking around with a bunch of stuff but nowhere on your person to put it.
It's the little things that truly show the professionalism and love this team has for the Fallout IP. Well done, y'all!!
The "hoarder" perk seemed a little mechanically weird. People who are going to hoard are going to actively avoid that perk, since it stops all movement when you are full, and serious hoarders are going to be more comfortable just putting up with the slow movespeed.
@@sirzorg5728 that's a valid point and you may be right! I just like the fact that they're experimenting and taking creative risks. It's refreshing and what all developers should be doing. If it doesn't work that's okay but it's better that your fans decide, in my opinion, than to not try something innovative and continuously playing it safe.
A very valid critique though. I'm curious to see the feedback around that particular perk once the game releases.
@@sirzorg5728 For me this is a perk with no penalties, i always sell and organize my stuff when i'm about to be over encumbered and there is no way you can explore for more than 5 minutes walking that slow, i have to drop something, so for me it's free 75 weight capacity or 25 with 10% extra movement speed if you pick Acrobat
the sleepwalker perk it's the most interesting one, imagine going to sleep in your house and you wake up on the top of a building surrounded by enemies, or next to a deathclaw, or in a matress in the middle of the thames river, or near to your quest objective, there is a lot of possibilities with this one
@@fleivor5359 I feel like it's going to do similar stuff to 76's nukashine
This looks insanely good. The level of love and detail in here, the panache displayed in bringing a franchise that so heavily depends on American culture and seamlessly integrating it with another country. This project will probably do more to expand and enrich the Fallout universe than any entry so far. Huge congrats. Great direction, design, audio, everything. This is the sweet spot.
It looks like a better addition to the franchise than Fallout 4 itself...
If the game is as good as it looks, we might have another New Vegas on our hands, only this time, it was made by modders and volunteers. If you thought they had egg on their face after New Vegas was the best fallout to come out since 2 and made in 1 year under pressure, then imagine the freaking albumen they'd be showered in from this!
Wow! This legit had me more hooked on the plot than any other fallout game ever. I love the sound and level design too, they both give off an eerie-1960s Doctor Who vibe. I’m really excited to play this when it comes out!
Doctor Who or in my opinion more aptly: The Prisoner, what with the mysterious figure on the screen.
Got the John Steed and Mrs. Emma Peel feeling off of this. Excellent Showcase!!
guys, imagine fallout Edinburgh, the castle can be a settlement
This looks excellent! It has just enough of the feel of the original Fallout games with a uniqueness all its own! I love that this is in a country other than the US. It will make it much more interesting. I cannot wait until I can play this game. And punching the radshrews was very funny! Well done developers!
Nothing more interesting than the US
@@BillAshtonNelo For an American, I'm sure that's true, for the remaining 96% of the planet, not so much.
I can wait to explore apocalyptic London, not many games I’ve played have ever done it well. I can only hope it’s going to be good
I hope for a sort of series of mods focusing on what otger countries in the Fallout world could look like.
I have a few ideas myself, but I don't even want to dare call myself on a way to make anything besides worldbuilding and fun ideas.
you can explore apocalyptic London right now by flying there and experiencing it for yourself
@@thecommentpolice8115 oi! You got a loicense fuh gettin stabbed?!
The blowing on the cartridge was hilarious. This looks amazing. Love how things are different and the same. Excited to see more.
Up until watching this, I'd never heard of the project. I don't own a PC and have only minimal understanding of the Fallout setting. This presentation was strong from the start, but the part that hooked me was Mr. Smythe's parting words and the music jingle that followed. That, in my eyes, was some Bioshock levels of quality.
The music was neither too long or too short, was wonderfully upbeat contrasting the setting but ominous enough to throw me off. Mr. Smythe's demeanour, tone and speech speed was villainous to a tee, and mind the gap is such a great way to introduce players into the open world. The gap referring to both the distance between the platform and the train, but also the stepping off point from the confines of the bunker into London. It wasn't even a lot of dialogue, but I loved it. Well bloody done.
The attention to detail is amazing. I hope booths get a few quests since they're a UK staple. This is by far the most impressive fallout mod out there and Bethesda need to take notice and employ you to make a stand alone game
Needs a convenience shop chain called 'Spare'
I’ve always felt that what made Fallout: New Vegas so great was that it had so much character and style! This gives me those vibes through and through!
It's incredible what a fanbase can do! Incredible work that landed some of them jobs in Bethesda! I do hope they make it a little more instantly recognizable as London by showing more landmarks on the metro ride. I will definitely have to give this a go, and can you believe it's a mod and mods are free right?! :D
It’s amazing how London is like an actual fledged city in this compared to Boston being like 6 blocks
I mean, you can't really compare the two. The actual devs have to come up with the engine, create all the assets, worry about cross-platform performance and answer to publishers and shareholders. None of that is applicable to a community project
@@P0k3D0nd3M4cG Yes but they also have way more resources and workers, but they also have deadlines though. We should restrict out criticisms until we see the final product of London. But I will say Fallout 4 could have been much better, although I still like it very much.
@@TheCat_3 how do they have more resources if they are literally limited to what they can create themselves? Modders have every source on the internet. I can port shoes from another game or download them from a 3D store and put them in my Fallout. Modders have infinite time and resources because they don't have to answer to anyone. Shareholders determine when games are released. Why do you think Indie developers get so much love? They don't have to answer to anyone
@@P0k3D0nd3M4cG they have to answer to rent, food, water, shelter, electricity. They don't have the resource to some tools, and of certain tech, and you can't just asset filp these models you gotta have the right permissions and licenses to use them. They get love because it takes a lot of sacrifice and time to make a game. And putting them in another game from a store isn't the push of a button. And ever source on the internet isn't exactly the most helpful, it won't tell you how to fix bugs in your code and if it does it takes scouring to do that. Money dude, the studio has the recourse to pay their devs but indie devs and especially modders don't. Your out of touch man.
@@TheCat_3 🤦🏾♂️ dummy, that's why they have unlimited time. A studio doesn't have that. You pay your rent and bills with your regular job and then do this extra stuff on your free time. Blender is free. You can get substantial student discounts for 3DSMax (which most gambryo compatible plugins are made for). GIMP is free and PhotoShop is only like $20 a month. The resources are available for anyone to make their own assets, on top of all of the existing ones in the game (which this clearly makes use of). They don't have to create everything from scratch or work to meet deadlines.
Bethesda titles use python, one of the easiest languages to learn. There are a myriad of free resources and websites available to teach you it, and if you run into problems, there are many modding discords and forums to reference.
Bethesda gives you access to everything, for free. Other developers do not.
I'm not out of touch, I literally do this sh!t. I've been modding for years now. Clearly, you haven't.
So many unanswered questions, no immediate plot like "find x" or "kill y"...
Giving less of a "work towards something" that gets kinda stale, and more of a "welcome to this world, good luck and mind the gap" feeling
Well done to the whole team!
The Alan Turing reference on the Terminal! ❤

One thing that's missing, in my opinion, is that quintessential "bright light, new world" experience when you come out of the dark for the first time. I think that would add a nice touch.
I can't believe I've scrolled through so many comments and no-one seems to have mentioned "Booths" the Chemist on the concourse or the black and gold rubbish bin on the platform. It's those little details that makes it feel more like a game set in Britain.
Bravo FOLON team, and thank you for all the hard work, dedication and imagination you've thrown into this. 👏👏👏
I think the shop is quite a clever double meaning, taking the name from the UK supermarket Booths whilst using the typefont for the Boots pharmacist
when i first saw the previews for this i thought it was a Brand New fallout, like New Vegas was. The fact that this is all fan made is amazing and you guys should not only be paid for creating this, but should also be contracted and paid by Bethesda to make an even larger standalone game
Amazing, simply amazing. Hearing my music underneath Baldermort's incredible narration, paired with the incredible artwork - then watching the world spring to life mere moments after. This project has been something else to work with, the team passionate, talented and driven. The final product will blow everyone's minds, I guarantee.
This looks and feels amazing. And like a totally different game. The lighting in particular is simply incredible.
Also getting major Brazil/1984 vibes from the underground bunker.
@Fallout London I love the attentioon to detail how you are using the "Protect and Survive" PSA avatars in place of the Vault Boy. Very creative and fitting for that era!
This gave me massive Bioshock and Metro vibes, I think that's a great formula for a Fallout game (addition)
I'm not sure why I randomly thought of this, but a fallout France would be dope. Imagine a huge dungeon being the catacombs
Ok, now that sounds incredible. I was going all in on Fallout Texas or Wyoming, but France sounds incredible.

If only Bethesda would do what Warframe does, and hire the Mod community if the project is really good, this should be an official thing it looks great.
It's not quite what you mean, but interestingly, the lead writer for Fallout: London was actually hired by Bethesda. She finished up most of her work before leaving, though, and she left plans for the rest. According to Prilla, at any rate.
they do hire modders lol

@@MystM London back in the day does have a sort of eerie vibe. Maybe since I played some horror games of London in the WW2 times idk
@@MystM not sure if you noticed but fallout is very, very american. Just steeped in american cultures, american eccentricities, in so many ways, especially with its open world nature. It’s naturally strange seeing it in a different setting, like tasting a variation of a food you like. Not bad necessarily, just different. It throws you a bit. I was actually skeptical of whether a fallout game set elsewhere in the world would work, because it would naturally lack that distinctly american flavor to it, but so far my doubts are quelled.
Fyi this isn’t me trying to make everything centered around america or anything, that’s genuinely just how the games are lol
@@MystM Usually you know what you're getting into as a American with Fallout games.
Most Americans roughly know most states, and what they're like. (even if they're stereotypes)
And i believe this is true for most countries.
Mass majority of people will know their country a lot more then neighboring countries.
So it is a bit eerie to not know what somewhere like London would act in a post-nuclear war. Vs what we already know how America reacted.
The part with Mr Smythe is so good, this is really impressive.
Congratulations to all the team, can't wait to play it :)
