And the 80's version strikes an uncanny similarity to Dare Devil, both their fathers were killed when they were younger, they studied law and both their alter egos take from the devil in some way. It's interesting.
I'm so glad to see that people really liked the Chato Santana iteration of El Diablo, I like him as well because its so awesome seeing more Latino comic-book characters getting so much awareness and appreciation, Chato is among three of my favorite Latino DC characters, the others are Jaime Reyes and Cisco Ramón
Mc Fapz Lol I had to delete your comment because it was kinda spoiler-ish. But in response to what you said, I still loved the character and his back story was the most interesting to me.
Being black and from the hood I could easily relate to him and his struggles in Suicide Squad. I was glad to see him trying to redeem himself. He was by far my favorite character in that movie.
Pretty much all DC media is New 52 nowadays. Cyborg being a founder of the JLA, the West family being black instead of gingers, the Suicide Squad being pretty much all Batman villains, a lot of the costumes, etc
He went from Zorro, to Daredevil (lawyers who's dad died and fights crime named after the Devil), to bizarre combinations of Spawn, the Phantom, and Human Torch. To be original, wouldn't mind seeing like a mix of the 3. He seemed like the closest thing to a good guy out of the suicide squad, even more so than Katana.
his suicide squad character was based on all his incarnations. this video just leaves out the instance where the Aztec fire demon attached to the soul. That's why Chato turned into a big Aztec looking fire demon at the end.
+Bob Fergisoon skir wronggg lol plus diablos powers are still unknown with that being said HE TURNED INTO A GIANT FLAMING FIRE MONSTER/GOD we know what the ghost rider can do diablo can probably do more Diablo>>>ghostrider
Omg never knew he was actually a gd character don’t get me wrong he was one of the only decent characters I’m suicide squad and the only rlly sympathetic villain I actually felt anything for (Ik ik should feel it for Deadshot and Harley but didn’t show Harley’s past in enough depth and Deadshot was completely different to comic version and was jsut will smith playing will smith) seems like he’s great in the comics.
man el diablo is just like the ghost rider. except he can control himself and he has his powers at all times. el diablo might be the only person who can understand what ghost rider goes through
The guys at Superhero News were attacking El Diablo's Mexican gangster persona by saying they get he plays off the stereotype of those days, but this is a new gen and they should change him up to fit. However they did admit they don't know much about El Diablo and here it seems Chato Santana is actually the newer rendition of El Diablo. He IS the new gen El Diablo. I think El Diablo works the way they did him in the SS movie. He's a street thug with super powers that got to his head and he ended up letting it control him to the point he did something he can never change. He's a redemption character now and honestly the gangster persona is fine because gangsters need redemption. I had an uncle who was a gangster and he had to redeem himself, still is trying.
Hey guys and girls at watch mojo. Been watching your vids for a few years now. I've got an idea on a top 10. "Top 10 actors final performances before they died"
For all you people saying he was Ms 13...he was actually part of hillside 13.... the same Mexican gang from training day..David ayer directed both films...
+Nick x Judy Zootopia Fanfiction have you ever read the comics ghost rider fought the hulk one on one and almost won and he is fighting the strongest version of the hulk
El Diablo's first appearance was in 1970, but that was Lane (the one who looks like Zorro), the El Diablo who looks like Ghost Rider (Chato Santana) came out in 2008
i wish him come back, i mean, he is a guy possesed by a fire mayan demon, that bomb shouldnt do anything to him
I think it was Aztec but I dunno :(
I think it ended up being Aztec vs Mayan gods.
And, yes. Yes that was awesome.
his body should be disintegrated but the demon itself should live on in someone else imo
People are saying that when the bomb exploded the lightning was Flash that saved El Diablo
Je survives in the comic
The old west El Diablo looks like a mixture of Lone Ranger and Zorro. Anyone thinks so as well?
I was totally thinking the same thing lol
And the 80's version strikes an uncanny similarity to Dare Devil, both their fathers were killed when they were younger, they studied law and both their alter egos take from the devil in some way. It's interesting.
+Nick Nori now I know Daredevil's counter part :)
That's what I thought when I first saw him.
Camilo Iribarren Rip off to be more specific
I'm so glad to see that people really liked the Chato Santana iteration of El Diablo, I like him as well because its so awesome seeing more Latino comic-book characters getting so much awareness and appreciation, Chato is among three of my favorite Latino DC characters, the others are Jaime Reyes and Cisco Ramón
Would love to had seen more of El Diablo in the DCEU
Given Chatos demonic relations, that cNt be too hard. PLUS we never did see a body.
+Dejay Page few of his skin were left on the ground after the explosion
Hazerx Yeah but he was like a flaming skeleton at the time.
I thought Diablo was good in Suicide Squad.
Yeah, I agree.
He's was my favorite and I'm from Philadelphia
Where Ghost Rider is Marvel's Spirit of Vengeance, Diablo is DC's Spirit of Redemption.
Jay Hernandez did a good job playing that role
He's easily the second best character in the entire DCEU. He had more character than anyone in the films so far.
El Diablo
burns down his own house (with him inside)
dies from an explosion ;-;
He just does for movie plot, he could have easily escaped
I read that he's still alive just teleported to hell
Now the in the movie is one thing but in the comics his powers are limited to his tattoos if he runs out of tattoos he runs out of power
*So pretty much like a low-key DC Ghost Rider, huh? lol*
Yep😏
FACTS GOOD TO KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY ONE
You said what we all thought 😆
Yeah he's pretty much a blatant ripoff
No, its more or less the other way around
A priest adopted a young boy, taught the boy boxing, and the boy grew up to be a lawyer...
That priest wasn't very good at being a priest.
Lol
I lovvvveeeddddddddd him in Suicide Squad.
"Ya te chingaste guey!"
Mc Fapz Lol I had to delete your comment because it was kinda spoiler-ish. But in response to what you said, I still loved the character and his back story was the most interesting to me.
+derrick johnson did he die in the movie?
+derrick johnson haha my favorite line from that movie, especially since I know a lil Spanish and he said that line randomly, I was like, hell yeah!
+KewlBryce92 Diablo face wasn't cross on Amanda wallets device so maybe he alive or just movie error.
Being black and from the hood I could easily relate to him and his struggles in Suicide Squad. I was glad to see him trying to redeem himself. He was by far my favorite character in that movie.
Where are you from
I'm kind of mad they killed him off in the movie because I felt that we had barely just began to see his full potential and then BOOM! He's gone 😒...
+The Cardillo Bros. i saw it it was a good movie but i was disappointed that el Diablo and slipknot died
+Mac M probably but slipknot is gone for good
In the comics he comes back to life. Maybe the same thing will happen in the SS sequel afterall he is a fire god!
If you didn't think you'd see spoilers on here, you played yourself
It's a superhero movie. He'll be back.
This guy is one of the standouts in the movie
he was awesome in suicide squad
Spoiler alert:
El Diablo is Mexican in Suicide Squad
Huh. I always thought he was German. Weird.
But hey. At least I'm not wrong that Leia dies in The Force Awakens, right?
Spoiler alert
el diablo dies
+Ungreatful Duck lol
he dies by saving the day
Oh, from his tattoos, I thought he was a Trucha member??
El Diablo is more Gangster-Looking than in Suicide Squad
True
The MVP of the movie
Spoiler Alert
They shouldn't killed him off
+bjehulk i agree that was a dumb move
so dumb
bjehulk he probably isn't dead. In the comics he is basically immortal and can't die.
I just realised Thanos played Jona Hex a long time ago.
Suicide Squad wasn't what I thought it was going to be.... especially with Director David Ayer.. Love him. But I still thoroughly enjoyed the film.
Ikr :(
ur gorgeous
+Red seeds oh noooo 😂
haha everyone subs to you loml,😂😂😂
+Red seeds thirsty
I just realized, suicide squad is technically New 52, AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its rebirth
but Harleys origin in it is from new 52
+Andrew-V/Ellnats rebirth is new 52 with some miner changes so origins stay the same
Pretty much all DC media is New 52 nowadays. Cyborg being a founder of the JLA, the West family being black instead of gingers, the Suicide Squad being pretty much all Batman villains, a lot of the costumes, etc
I still hoping for my red headed speedster to show up in the live action
Who doesn't love Jonah Hex, No wonder, Rip Hunter named his son after him.
When I saw El Diablo in a Justice League Unlimited episode, I thought he was Zorro :p
Chato Santana is my favourite version in the comics and I think suicide squad's movie version was so good man.
*Chato
I wish this character was more popular
el diablo now my most favourite DC character.
FINALLY ive been waiting for diablo's origins
The thumbnail looks like reaper with his guns XD
El Diablo = Poor man's Ghost Rider.
Kinda ghost rider is way better
yeah lmao
+top hat chainsaw robot dinosaur yeah but el diablo can turn into a giant mayan fire god!!! el diablo >> ghostrider
Mayans went extinct. Probably banished to hell by Ghost Rider. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+Bob Fergisoon skir wronggg lol plus diablos powers are still unknown with that being said HE TURNED INTO A GIANT FLAMING FIRE MONSTER/GOD we know what the ghost rider can do diablo can probably do more Diablo>>>ghostrider
That fight sequence he had against the incubus at the end was badass
Chato was one of the best characters from the suicide squad film. One of my favourites.
Supervillain Origins: DC's Professor Pyg. They've got to be running out of comic book characters to do by now! XD
The only one with character development, and a badass power
after I saw the movie I was looking everywhere for an origin video, then now seeing yours I got so exited
I like his skull makeup look, but his gangster look is cool too.
El Diablo is Netflix's Matt Murdock
what? there's already a daredevil show on Netflix
+Austin Jennings wait wtf lol
I think Matt Murdock is Netflix's Matt Murdock since Netflix made him.
+NailGames "since Netflix made him" ...cringe...
+NailGames really bruh
Ah yes, El Diablo. The City of Gold that DreamWorks made an animated movie of.
*everyone turns to look*
This is why el diablo is my fav
best Diablo moment is SS is the Fire God scene. he strait up calls Brother a bitch and kicks some ass
He needs to be used more!! Who doesn't love an awesome fire god!
They should make a movie on el diablo
Yeah
you should do top 10 underrated metal/rock drummers
Was waiting for this one after the movie! Nice.
loved how El Diablo turns into a big scary fiery looking guy. too bad he gets blown up.
Jorge Balderas I'm still here. Oh wait..
just saw suicide Squad. it was good. but it didnt meet the expectations everyone had.
Watchmojo..
How about a Supervillain origins for
Malcolm Merlyn, also known as The Dark Archer
?!
That mustache though,daaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmnnnnnn
Suicide squad el diablo's story gave me the feels and almost made me cry.
probably the best part was when he broke enchantresses spell. Only character with true conviction
Killed it in Suicide Squad! Totally loved him.
The end was awesome as hell get it
thank you watchmojo
Diablo was my favorite character from the suicide squad film
man el diablo is just like the ghost rider. except he can control himself and he has his powers at all times. el diablo might be the only person who can understand what ghost rider goes through
El Diablo was my favorite character in suicide squad he turned into a Aztec warrior.
EL DIABLO IS BEST CHARACTER IN SUICIDE SQUAD MOVIE in my opinion
From Z-list to A-list...Lovely.
keep up the good work
El Diablo was my favorite character in SS
+Emperor Kylo Ren Slipknot was the backbone of the team.
Because character from Suicide Squad, loved that movie & his character development
Hey guys and girls at watch mojo. Been watching your vids for a few years now. I've got an idea on a top 10. "Top 10 actors final performances before they died"
I wish they would do a list on the people with talent.
Top 10 comic book characters who "never miss"
ALL OF THE CHARACTERS IN SUICIDE SQUAD, EL DIABLO WAS MY FAVORITE, THATS WHY I'M HERE COMMENTING! LOL
For all you people saying he was Ms 13...he was actually part of hillside 13.... the same Mexican gang from training day..David ayer directed both films...
Justice League cartoon & Suicide Squad movie version are my favorite
You should add the rebirth comic version of the characters y'all do
When he turned into a Mayan skeleton on fire and said bring it puto so badass
he's really changed throughout the years
Suicide Squad's Diablo is the definition of bringing the devil out of someone.
Do a comic book origin video on the Court of Owls
the beginning kinda just sounded like a DC version of daredevil but without being blind
To be honest i didn't know nothing about him and i knew more about Slipknot than him but after the movie I'm very interested.
Low key spirit of vengence lol
loved him in the movie
good movie
good character
good video
i would love to see you guys do harley quinn next!
Do a comic book origins on Grey Hulk
Me: mom can we have ghost rider
Mom: we have ghost rider at home
*The ghost rider at home*
Screw Attack DeathBattle Ghots Rider ve New El Diablo!
Ghost rider would win .......
+Miyagi_The_BrickBreaker drink me
or nah
Fuck no, ghost rider is my fav marvel character
+Nick x Judy Zootopia Fanfiction have you ever read the comics ghost rider fought the hulk one on one and almost won and he is fighting the strongest version of the hulk
So.........a DC comics version of Ghost Rider then? Or the original idea that Marvel Comics Ghost Rider was based on?
The second Diablo story sounded like dare Devils too haha
Original I looked it up
everyone copies everyone who cares, as long some enjoys the the fictional character.
El Diablo's first appearance was in 1970, but that was Lane (the one who looks like Zorro), the El Diablo who looks like Ghost Rider (Chato Santana) came out in 2008
So.....the current reiteration is a DC Comic version of Ghost Rider. Got it.
It's about time
Diablo was my favorite character of the suicide squad
1:52 all he is missing is his red/blue baseball cap
correction 1:45
Now for a futuristic el diablo
The second el Diablo is like daredevil haha
Thank you. I needed to know more about him!!! Bc wiki don't got shit about him
El diablo was my fav in suicide squad! 😍😍
wow there's a lot of influence on El zorro on this character El Diablo . thanks to Zorro El Diablo was born
His character was great in Suicide Squad. Though not too well developed. I hope he returns for the sequel. I hear rumour he's not dead.
i want an El Diablo and Lone Ranger crossover
I like this guy a lot
El diablo was the ONLY thing I actually loved about suicide squad.
I thought that was goldust from the thumbnail at first.
the best cinematic incarnation of ghost rider
As a Mexican, I love this :)
+WatchMojo can you guys please do a full video on Suicide Squad's El Diablo backstory and other stuff like that?
1:54 to 2:18 That origin story sounds soooo familiar.....
***** Ziiiiiiiiiiing!
Thank you
the second El Diablo is basically Daredevil!
