We hope you enjoyed seeing how this minimalist home beautifully blends with its natural surroundings and creates a warm, inviting space within the Yarraville community. From the carefully crafted garden connection to the serene, light-filled interiors, Gable Park is truly an inspiring example of architecture in harmony with its environment. So rare to have an architect present his work without overusing architectural jargons. Precise descriptive, nailing his design objectives. Really shows his involvement in the project.

I echo your sentiments. Let the spaces, materials, and lighting speak as the Architect narrate the parti. Well done in both design and presentation.

What a wonderful job Martyn. Also…it is so good not to have to listen to the gibberish speak of some of the other presenters. You weren’t pretentious or trying to make it sounds what you did was some cerebral miracle. Well done. I love the home.

Oh I've driven by this home from a neighbouring suburb and always slow down to admire. I was so excited to see this home pop up. Did not disappoint. This is an inviting, beautifully designed home. I love it. Well done!

It's been a long time since I've seen a bathroom that I love. The ensuite of the main bedroom is 10/10 for me. The skylight brings in natural light, the shape is elegantly oval shaped and it's off centre which is actually a nice touch. The blue grey colour of the tiling is so beautiful to look at. The oversized showerhead and the marble benchtop look luxurious without being ostentatious. The glass is so clean and minimalist and same can be said for the toilet. The dark colour of the cabinetry with the metal handles look so classy. Perfection!

This home in Yarraville is a beautiful blend of minimalism and natural materials, fostering a strong connection with the surrounding area. The thoughtful design, featuring soft tones and locally sourced materials like handmade bricks and weatherboard, reflects both elegance and functionality for a family of five.

Lived there from birth to 22 years old. Its easily by far the most haunted suburb in melbourne. Most people moved out of there because of this even non believers who now believe will not even drive through the suburb

These ultra minimalist designs are so bizarre. Barely any furniture, nothing looks comfortable or inviting to lounge in, it’s like your own home is trying to make you feel as unwelcome as possible. This feels like mental illness and not design.

I'm curious why you feel this way. I'm South African and have only observed Australian and New Zealand history externally, so I may not be privy to the internal atmosphere when it comes to referencing the original custodians of the lands. Why do you find it distasteful?
