Just went to an event in SLC where Reid was playing. The turnout was smaller than expected, but in spite of that you could see that he just had a sense to him where he just wanted to play the game and be on his best game.
There's few players who have done it all, Reid isnt there yet but he will get there super soon if he continues. One day his face will be on a Magic card.
So true! There are tons of pro players that might have exploits that look better than his results, but overall Reid is always there. He doesn't look hindered by bad luck and his level of play is always excellent. He's a great ambassador for the game.
I can’t remember if it was world championships or pro tours, I think pro tours . Reid didn’t have a pro tour win for a long time while a lot of other professionals did. He smoked them in top 8’s though. I’d say you can’t win a major event with out luck on your side but you can top 8/16 them on the basis of skill. Reid did that all the time.
i always love to hear someone give a honest and positive self assessment. it’s hard to do!

Beating Reid is my greatest mtg achievement. Especially when it was Jund v Jund
reid loves playing non-linear decks where he can pilot better than others with tons of small correct plays to make a winning advantage.
When i think Reid Duke, i think Legacy Miracles. And that my friend, is exactly what you just described.
