Your creation is terrific, you’ve helped so many people in need. My friend got into an accident three years ago and his legs were paralyzed, he got one and we went “Biking” together. It was truly an amazing experience. Thank you Zack!
One of Zack’s first major videos I saw was the elevator he built in his house. It’s very clear that he’s been trying as hard as he can to leverage his UA-cam career into making life better first for his wife, and then for everyone. Most of his early videos I’ve never even gone through are car builds, and he’s gone through a lot of ideas before settling on the phone durability/tear down format of the last 3-4 years. Of course he has the best teardown videos on UA-cam, and he obviously loves tech in general, but I think his true passion relies in accessibility, not phones, and for obvious reasons. Cambry is just one example of how great someone in a wheelchair can be, and how much more they can do when everyone works to help each other out. Accessible tech is also the pinnacle of technology and human design coming together, and that seems right up zack’s alley. I hope you continue to do great things.
A house is most of the time not a big problem, you can get quite well around with lifts. One like Zack build of chair lifts. Most people I hear complaining about is that cities are horrible for handicapped people. Alot of bumps and slight climbs everywhere. The same problem is at alot attraction parks and zoo's. I worked for a zoo and we had a group of handicapped people test the park. They offered some managers to join the test by putting them in a wheelchair. I never heard so much cursing of the management. That said everything someone adds to improve someone's mobility is a good thing. Talking about it also works. There are more handicapped people in the world most people think of. But alot of people don't see it or want to see it. I agree with you Matt it is great a someone with a platform uses it for the greater good. There are alot that only uses it got the gains (moneyz). In Sweden using drywall or "gipsväggar" as they are called here, is the standard for internal walls. Has been for 50 odd years. We usually add wooden trim on (top of) corners and edges.
She’s absolutely so lucky to have you. You are both such a perfect couple. I wish that more people around the world were even just a little bit more like you I swear the world would be a better place.
The one thing you need is low cost replacement wheels that can go on regular chairs, as often they wear out, and the owner is often stuck for a long time waiting for repairs. Or those wider wheels that will fit a regular one, which then immediately allows use in places like parks, as they are less likely to get stuck.
This is great to see! My sister was in Africa last summer promoting offroad wheelchair bikes. It was a great initiative to help in communities where people in wheelchairs lose hope for having an active life. It would be great to see your bikes giving hope to people who have lost all hope.

Hey Zack, great explanation of drywalling! As a drywaller myself I end up always having to critique when others do it. I guess that comes with the career lol. It's pretty great to see another person who likes to Jerryrig and do things themselves and learn new things. My grandpa's name was Jerry as well which is pretty cool also. Love the videos.
Hey, Zak. I am a professional software engineer and a self-taught electronics enthusiast. If you ever need a volunteer to help with a project, I'd be more than happy. Love what you all are doing. I think people who use their resources and platform to help others are truly amazing!
This must be the coolest video you've ever done, though. I'm in love with the idea of trying to help people out while not looking to get rich out of it, unlike big companies that do the opposite, selling crap products for as much profit as possible.
Here's hoping your company continues to grow and blossom. We need entrepreneurs like you making the mobility/accessibility options out there better and more affordable.
Hell, you guys exude good guy energy. The work you're doing it amazing and important. Who would've imagined the guy from UA-cam who broke and fixed phones could give you this kind of chills!
Gosh, I had a father-in-law and a nephew both were in wheel chairs. I wish these were available then. My nephew is now past the medical point when he can leave his home but when he was a young man/teenager these would have been great for him to be able to widen his world appreciably and do things a young man would enjoy.
Holy crap man. This is so awesome. Wishing you best of luck with the buisness. I hope you are able to reach out to many in need. And wish you enough growth to expand maybe even beyond the US. Sincerely, a german fan
Hey Zak, those rubber things are to stop the floor from being ridged, dance floors like squash courts need a spring in them. The strips leave the area between nice and springy for the little feet.
Real savings with LED's is to use line powered. Gut the ballasts (which are main energy hog) and install lamps that run directly on 120vac. (Just wire the sockets (tombstones) to the AC line. I just did a project where I installed over 500 lamps directly AC powered. I sold all the ballasts on ebay.

As an autistic person, most disabled people prefer "disabled", as it is *NOT* a bad word! This from neurodivergent_lou, explains why you shouldn't be using "euphemisms": Disabled people's needs are not special, extra, burdensome or additional, they are human needs. Referring to disabled people as having special needs is inaccurate. As an autistic person, I need to be able to communicate and express myself, that need to communicate is not special, that need is the same as every non disabled person. I might just need accommodations in order to communicate. The term 'special needs' makes it feel like accommodating disabled people is optional, which it is not. The term special needs is also associated with special treatment too and it gives society the impression that instead of accessibility being a right, it is 'special treatment' or a 'special privilege.' If disabled people's rights were seen as the rights that they are (instead of being seen as extra, additional or special) then perhaps wheelchair ramps would be in every building, plastic straws would be available to those who need them and disabled toilets would be made to be available and accessible. Instead, disabled people's accessibility rights are seen as an afterthought. I want to see disabled people's accommodation needs normalised and the term special needs does not do this for me. It 'others' disabled people. It separates disabled people's needs and the needs of non disabled people. When I was labelled as having special needs as a child, it took away my ability to feel pride in my disability too and see disability as part of my identity. The term special needs often infantilises disabled people too. Disability is not special, rare, exceptional or unusual. Disability is a normal part of life. The term special needs makes it sound as if it is unusual or rare. This too heightens the inaccessibility cycle. If people believe that disabled people are few and far between then people don't see the point or the benefit in accessibility. Accessibility is however vital. Sometimes people say that they don't see my disability but just see my needs, specifically my 'special or additional needs.' I feel that this is often because people see my disabled identity as something inherently negative, which I guess is part of growing up in a society which sees disability as something to be ashamed of. I need people to recognise my disability. I am exhausted by the euphemistic terms used to describe disability. which I guess is part of growing up in a society which sees disability as something to be ashamed of. @@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 I am legally disabled. But I have no problems with being called differently abled. I'm probably better at some things than people who aren't considered "disabled". Wishing you everything of the best, and one day your amazing creations may even be built in South Africa too.
Amazing. Love the idea of an affordable wheelchair. Here in the UK it's either an off the shelf £300 rubbish wheelchair or a £3,000+ usable wheelchair. I would love to be able to buy a quality base frame and then select from a list of addons to customise my chair. Good luck with the project.
My company downsized on office space and I've been working from home for over a year now. I don't know why seeing office space get created is so satisfying, but it is. Congrats on the business taking off!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You two are amazing :) My boyfriend is paralyzed and has been wanting to go to the beach. We recently took a trip to South Lake Tahoe and went to a particular beach that stated they had 3 Beach Wheelchairs. Unfortunately when we arrived and asked to use one, they mentioned they only had 1, but it was broken. I could see the disappointed look on my boyfriends face. It definitely ruined our day I tried to research on how to build one for him, but buying the parts are very expensive. Not to mention the price of buying one that's already assembled. I am so excited to see what other devices you and your team come up with! :)
this drywall material is literally called Gypso-cardboard in Russia, and here it can be used usually for small partition walls, like when you wanna make a door socket instead of free pass, or when one-room apartments needs to be zoned
Just so you know, these kind of sheets of dry wall are used here (Netherlands) too quite a bit. Just perhaps not as much as in the US. We also use Gips(en) blocks and something called gas-concrete blocks (concrete with lots of air bubbles to keep it lighter and cheaper) And for partition walls I have seen wooden frames with MDF or Plywood as well....(with insulation in it)
Randomly stumbled on this vid. Very impressed by the design. I could actually see this being useful to mobility impaired persons that still want to hunt, having a new opportunity to do so. Fantastic job folks!!!
Hey man get some painters plastic to cover your doorways to contain the dust to its own area and I'm guessing you are running the A/C which doesn't like dusty environments! Just giving out ideas not to point out any flaws but to share what I've learned and it really helps contain each work area! Good luck👍👍👍
Nice to know there are people out there who will offer things like this for cheap and can't be bought out. Watch out for the big companies coming after you in other ways though. Hopefully those big companies are too afraid of the bad publicity they will get for going after you guys.
You two ROCK! I've been griping forever that the mobility industry needs young cats like you to change the face of equipment! Some are, but the people that they are designing for can't afford the newer tech. We need simple, sturdy devices that are trouble free and affordable. Here's another thing, I was just able to afford a mid-range power chair, but the price of a ramp to get out of my house (aluminum, nobody wants to do wood) was quoted at 10 grand! Affordable modern ramps are needed YESTERDAY!
We use a lot of drywall in Norway too. I have a Talmeter (Swedish made) that marks and cuts through the first layer of paper at once without the need of a pencil and strait edge. Can HIGHLY recomend one (If they have one with imperial units that is ;)
@12:12 I love it when things like *_Not a Wheelchair_* happen and it just about sells itself, (I could use one myself,) Everybody knows someone whose life could be improved with added mobility.
This is so awesome.. seriously .. ever since being around my mom who hasn't had the use of her rt leg for over 30 years now.. I have always looked for just that accessibility for her. She is still able to walk here and there but being that she is getting older that is starting to become less of an option. but allowing her to maybe take the dog for a "walk" or get in and out of some places is awesome. Love the new building wish I had more to offer than just comments/likes/shares. keep it up you two.. cheers.

I recently stumbled upon your channel and am loving it. I've been totally disabled since birth (Spina Bifida) and use a wheelchair. This business you have is amazing! I wish nothing but great success for you both! Too bad I'm in NY or I'd be happy to meet you both as you said in the video.
Nice to see that someone who can do alot of things for himself goes and build a whole workshop just to help people In need. This type of projects which really deserves to be in gofundme. Keep it up
The insane love you have for your wife, it is crazy like your wife is really blessed that she got such a caring husband
Cambry brings out the best in him, the ultimate tag team.
I would think he would say, he was blessed to find someone who loves him unconditionally and supports him.
You make it sounds like charity. All I see are two adults who chose to be with each other.
@@mashamitchell9574 f off with your doubts and negativity
@@mashamitchell9574 i mean 136 people liked the comment, except you.... So dont know if u understand english
This is incredible. I'm a civil engineer working in transportation equity, sustainability, etc. Thank you for your making the world a better place!
That place looks awesome! That big sign is sweet.
You guys are great. I’m so happy to see how much you’ve grown since I started watching ur channel. You’re guys are doing so much for our community. What you’re doing is what I’ve always envisioned & wished the world as a whole would do. Make the world inclusive to all. You’re appreciated so much.
Software, hardware, construction... bro knows just about everything!
17:11 lmao
This must be the coolest video you've ever done, though. I'm in love with the idea of trying to help people out while not looking to get rich out of it, unlike big companies that do the opposite, selling crap products for as much profit as possible.
Here's hoping your company continues to grow and blossom. We need entrepreneurs like you making the mobility/accessibility options out there better and more affordable.
I've been watching this channel develop over the years, I love the direction it is heading.
Absolutely Fascinating ! I love your passion and talent and at the same time being very smart ! Blessings on this amazing venture!
So cool to see you grow. You are my favorite couple on the YT! I wish you all the luck and what you do really matters!
You two are amazing. Rare to find such decent good people. Brings a tear to my eye. I hope I find someone to love as much as you guys do.
Hey Zack! Absolutely loving what you're doing here, honestly I kind of wish I could come rent a rig just to take it out for a spin, cuz it looks like a lot of fun! The fact that you guys are seeking to earn zero profits off of this endeavor is truly admirable, there needs to be more businesses and more people like you, out to just make the world a better place.
edit: removed AIO cooler comment, I was mistaken about the radiator's orientation shown in the video. Everything is A-OK. 👌
@@NiftyPants thank you for pointing this out. I was watching this video as I woke up today and mistakenly got it in my head that the radiator was being rear-mounted, not top-mounted. 🙃
I'm confused by your comment. His radiator is mounted to the top of his case.
@@NiftyPants correct. I made a mistake. Thank you for pointing out my mistake.
Damn that fiberglass, I can't watch it on bare hands. We use drywall where I'm from too, it's pretty handy in a lot of cases. Your project is full of compassion, understanding and willingness to help. I hope you'll help as many people as possible.
Every time the snap happens I fear that half of all living being will get wiped out of existence LOL
Hahahahahah this is funny once you see it- like, it’s so casual too “let’s get started”
You two are awesome. I hope to bump into you on the street someday and say "thanks a ton" for everything you do!
This is awesome and understand the struggle for mobility. Broke my neck as a firefighter in 2008! lost use of my left side so couldn't even properly use a standard chair so had to jump a tonne of hoops to get my first electric chair. If I go downhill again I will definitely look into getting one!!
God bless you both. Good luck with the business Zach, great work you're doing.
You guys are doing a fantastic job helping out the Disable folks who are need? Keep doing those innovation ideas for the disable folks? Who are In Need?
Please once you get your stairlift project going would you consider potentially opening it to an international client base. I live in the UK and as an ambulatory wheelchair user i think your stairlift concept could be incredible at finally erridicating the inaccessible places we encounter. I love what your doing keep up the great work ❤️
Imagine being a demolition expert,
a UA-cam expert,
a wheelchair expert,
a car engineering expert,
and a smartphone expert.
Don’t forget the pc expert as he seems to know how to build pcs
AH yes, please remember that a ex is a hasbin and a spert is a drip under pressure, neather of which are Jerry, he do'es his best with what he has, and does it VERY well
Thanks. When I saw your video about that prototype, I had no idea I would be shopping for one 2 years later. Turns out my spine is disintegrating, what fun.
came to this channel for the teardowns, was not expecting the inspirational life lessons of happiness and fulfillment. thank you
Three things I picked up from this video:
1) Pls wear dust masks while doing demolition! My dad was in construction, and he had a portion of his lung removed because he never put on a dust mask. =(
2) This new place is sweet!
3) All the best with your new advantage. And it is ok to make money, as long as in an ethical and honest way.
PS. If you have a small all-terrain vehicle in the future with that price range you have mentioned, I would be interested in that! Good luck!
I love the fact you guys followed through on the rig making it accessible to the public....Brilliant
Proud of BOTH of you, what a great pair and your products are out of this world. I've been using an electric power chair for almost 10 years now so I can understand how the wife must appreciate all of the products you have created.
Wow...I'm so so impressed for your creation and being able to help other people. In your previous videos I used to say ouch bcoz seeing you distroy things makes me feel sad bcoz those things, I can not afford but this time it's a big big WOW..for you both. God bless and stay safe. Both of you are blessed.
I don't know why I got this video in my feed, but I like your attitude very much.
Dealing with European building construction, I'm always shocked how US buildings are clamped together.
Wish you all the best with your business!
This is awesome and so needed!! My son has CP and accessible equipment is expensive. His AFO’s are close to 3.5k it’s nuts. I can’t wait to see what y’all come up with.
just unboxed her baby blue beauty. thank you again for a life changing invention. she just needs to get her core stronger so she can move in and out like Cambry. we plan on heading to big sur next month to try it out, God willing 🙏.
That is very cool looking into that. I have a stroke 14 years ago, and my whole my whole right side is paralyzed. I can’t walk I use a cane, but it’s pretty difficult now. I am going to check and out. I am 67 years thanks a lot…. George
I love seeing this. not only the innovation but the heart behind it. This is how the future is made. Through enterprise and entrepreneur spirit. Keep it up guys!
Love seeing you do things for the differently abled people. I'm certain your new passion project will help a lot of people experience things they've never been able to before due to a lack of technology or a lack of money.
I need people to recognise my disability. I am exhausted by the euphemistic terms used to describe disability
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 I am legally disabled. But I have no problems with being called differently abled. I'm probably better at some things than people who aren't considered "disabled". Suffice to say - the comment wasn't meant as anything more than an acknowledgement of the good work Zack is doing to help people who aren't able to walk the same as he is.
thank you for all you do. good luck in all your future projects. we need more humans like you 2. god bless
My city have these desks in public spaces so at the library and at authorities and such and they're great! Someone in a wheelchair can use them and a supertall person after them, just press a button. So..Greetings from Sweden!
You are making the world a better place.
Thank you for doing this !
Hi Jerry, Amazed by the your creativity and your amazing creations. I have a 3yr old son who is a paraplegic, and I am hoping to one day be able to afford one of these "Not a Wheelchair". We live in South Africa, which makes it difficult for us to have access to your products. Due to ROE and shipping cost. Wishing you everything of the best, and one day your amazing creations may even be built in South Africa too.
Makes my heart swell seeing such passion, compassion, and goodwill.
God bless you all!
Your devotion to your wife is so inspiring.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
You two are amazing :)
My boyfriend is paralyzed and has been wanting to go to the beach.
It definitely ruined our day
I tried to research on how to build one for him, but buying the parts are very expensive. Not to mention the price of buying one that's already assembled.
I am so excited to see what other devices you and your team come up with! :)
And....it has been a pleasure watching you guys. Thank you.
need more people like you two help the disabled people keep it up from western australia
this drywall material is literally called Gypso-cardboard in Russia, and here it can be used usually for small partition walls, like when you wanna make a door socket instead of free pass, or when one-room apartments needs to be zoned
Thanks for a terrific channel that is always so interesting to watch from halfway around the world.
Just so you know, these kind of sheets of dry wall are used here (Netherlands) too quite a bit. Just perhaps not as much as in the US.
We also use Gips(en) blocks and something called gas-concrete blocks (concrete with lots of air bubbles to keep it lighter and cheaper)
And for partition walls I have seen wooden frames with MDF or Plywood as well....(with insulation in it)
Randomly stumbled on this vid.
This is amazing, this project of yours is larger than what it actually is!
Can HIGHLY recomend one (If they have one with imperial units that is ;)
Wow what a worthwhile project, its going to make such a difference !
We use sheet rock panels in Finland but only between different rooms of the same apartment. The walls between apartments is solid concrete.
@12:12 I love it when things like *_Not a Wheelchair_* happen and it just about sells itself, (I could use one myself,)
Everybody knows someone whose life could be improved with added mobility.
God bless you two. You’re awesome team!❤️🧑🏽🦽👨🏼🦽❤️
Cool! I actually showed your videos to an rep and medical consultant while testing out my new wheelchair last friday
Love the new building wish I had more to offer than just comments/likes/shares. keep it up you two.. cheers.
You guys are giving the same joy of a human being for every special ones ❤️ god bless you guys 💞
It's nice to see somebody who knows how to demo drywall.
