Hey man, you got me playing outlands. I'm a UO player since original release, but I had gotten burned out on freeshards. The server is really, really good. So thank you!
It's very difficult to learn the new mechanics, so your videos have come in handy. I had briefly tried Outlands previously, but it didn't grab my interest. Your vids intrigued me enough to muscle through the very beginning and get to the point that it's really fun.
The economy is just amazing. Even back in the 90's, my main was a dexxer with GM blacksmithing. My teenage mind decided that the perk of always having my armor and weapon fully repaired was worth the 100 skill points. Here, it's a viable build, and I've had a great time mining, smithing, killing monsters, and then selling ingots, colored ingots and shopping the tons of vendors for delectable food, colored pickaxes, recall scrolls, runebooks, codexes, aspect stuff, recall scrolls, and etc. I find myself at work thinking about builds, and I haven't been excited by a game like that in years.

Any chance for a PvP tips & tricks video? For example how to fight back against single red (or escape from multiple), important things to have as keybinds, how to do/avoid bursts, fast movement using rope/teleport, all the stuff that veteran players know inside out but what might be obscure for newer players. Great content, keep it up!
a summoner tutorial for new players would be great! keep up the great work man.
120ss, 120 scribe, 100 tracking, 100 magery, 100 eval, 100 med, 80 camping with 100 int, 25 dex, 100 str with full eldrich is what I run. Extremely powerful for single target mobs. Currently doing 50-90k on mini bosses and almost always top dmg.
@@angrybobrossawaiad1322 I see builds with taste ID and they drop camp or tracking. Do you think it's worth it for the mana when low aspect? Or how do you deal with mana?
@@sh3940 when low aspect i tell everyone the same thing, if your struggling with mana pick up taste id. If your not struggling with mana drop taste id. Its a personal choice if your lets say rank 1-7 eldrich. I dropped taste id personally when I got rank 3 mana drain in my grimwar.

Died in Ossuary 4 and lost about 1800 g and 1000 leather. went in again, died 2-3 times again on corpse run. My corpse wasn't there anymore BUT I managed to loot 7k gold and 500 reags each + some magic items on that run :) thanks for this awesome idea
I lost my corpse and found "bones" with my loot. I was sad as it was mid-boss but then relieved my loot didn't dissappear.
I hate those corpse runs lol so much suspense
Maybe a video showing some basic items that new players should get, blessed items, rune tome, and how to fill it up. When to get your first mount, etc?

I figured out something semi rediculous about glass cannon tanking today, had a man request heals to test an echo. Well he had the following skills and spanked multiple mobs testing in packs and if soloing carefully wouldn't be really needing heals he ran : 100 tactics 100 macing 80 tracking, 100 BlackSmithing (for armor bonuses) , 80 magic resist, 80 music, 80 discord, 100 chivalry. He chugged potions when he lost like a quarter HP bar and was just straight up hitting rediculous numbers with every smack. I have no idea why this was so tanky it looked like monsters that hit me for 40s we're hitting this dude for like next to nothing, and not having parrying seemed kinda nuts. Might wanna give it a try I myself haven't got an aspect yet or a codex but I am stubbornly leveling an army of characters with my money. Magery is like a constant farming chore on 2 accounts with the two spell books etc I may be addicted. This is fine

Great guide, one thing I would swap is 100 tracking for 100 wrestling. Can run through a few monsters and avoid a few hits.

I was just wondering, is there a plain all out tutorial for uo outlands? Like full newbie tutorial explaining every part of outlands? Or a tutorial for people that are just plain new to ultima at all. Its crazy a game so old still has new players coming in.

If you're using mostly magery, why take healing and anat? Alchemy and str pots, inscription and bless spell....I'm still a noob though and might be missing something
that would be great too! i was mostly going for little/no cost as much as possible.
I have a scavenger/explorer from when I started with hiding/stealth/camping/tracking with just enough magery to heal. So much fun to hit up deep dungeon spots, I still use him for reg collection and if I'm low on arcane essence - it's wild how many people don't loot.
I just added snoop/steal for some covert yoinks. Good times.
Similar build but with tactics mace fighting and mining. Prices for iron are not dropping anytime soon. Worth looking into. Also can you make video comparing mining with or without a pack horse. Also safer mining locations

not sure if I could do it at first, but recall mining seems better, 16gp per ingot, 10K=160k gold 20K- 320K gold, is more time consuming but maybe more lucrative

honestly this video is good and it does help, but you assume that the watcher of the video at least has basic knowledge of ultima online and personally i have none and i'm starting at ground zero here. So when you say things like take EVAL as a skill in the beginning, there is multiple evals and i dont know what you mean. Luckily there is the new player channel in the outlands discord who are down to get in depth with me

for every new player who likes to try this out beware:
you will die alot, and i mean a LOT! you dont know the dungeons you dont know those monster abillities. but it is a good training to get familia with all of this. and you dont have anything to lose instead of a few reags a sknning knife and maybe regular leather set.

What would be a good anti-pk template? Or at least the most pk resistant template for beginners... It's really demotivating to be a noob and get killed all the time in the dungeons
hmm ok good one. but for the time being.... something w tracking to see reds early, wrestling to help you not get hit / interrupted.. and magic resist for less dmg.
@@PwnstarrGaming also got some tips as using adventures ropes and teleport, red explosion boxes for any paralysis, cure all in hot keys... You got any other tips like this? Maybe also any anti-pk guilds hotline 😈

OK so I have an issue... I was doing this trying to make a little bit of scratch on the side... It seems I keep getting myself killed. Sometimes I can loot what I skin other times it flags me as a criminal which some people are very quick to pounce on. Any ideas on how to avoid this?

Is GM tracking really necessary? With tracking locked at 60, I still allways see reds coming and dip out before they can get to me.
Just increases the range a bit more at gm vs 60
From the wiki:
On a successful tracking attempt, players can see a list of non-hidden targets within (20 + (80 * (Tracking Skill / 100))) spaces
Inside dungeons, this tracking distance is halved (10 + (40 * (Tracking Skill / 100))) spaces

Keep trying. Sounds like you had a bad night. Not sure why pks would be "targeting" you and not other players.
You have hiding, use it when you see a red on tracking. Stealth to a safe spot/leave the dungeon and come back.
