The creative minds behind Life is Strange at DON’T NOD Montréal are proud to present a brand-new story-driven journey through time - Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.
The magical summer of 1995 is one of self-discovery and forging unbreakable bonds for high school friends Swann, Nora, Autumn, and Kat. 27 years of no contact later, fate reunites them to confront the long-buried secret that made them promise to never speak again.
Music composed and performed by Nora Kelly.

@@JabamiLain Sure I try to figure out as much as possible in one minute's video, but it's only a first trailer. The thing in the forest caused deadly trouble back then, it must pose even greater problem now. So the lady in the end looks terrible. Sorry but that's all I can see.

for me, its the same as the sims franchise. They drove away every part of their audience that isn't into this sort of thing and forced their product into a niche. There's a good part and a bad part to that.

@@Alexamenus You don't seem to be aware of the type of audience this franchise has. Judging by this teaser, it looks like it has those similar elements as the previous games in this series. So I don't know what "niche" you're talking about.
Definitely evokes Stephen King's It, especially given the 27 year time skip.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing. Doesn't that kinda evidence a lack of creativity ? Or maybe the recent state of stories left me paranoid when people use inspiration.

You can absolutely follow the examples of your inspiration without stealing from them, knowing that there’s a 27 year timeskip doesn’t tell us a damn thing and I have faith that LIS will add a unique twist.

That was one of the coolest parts about Life is Strange, we were really involved in the story and looking for clues about where the story would go next!

Theme-wise, based on the characters, the Life is Strange games and potential plot,
I believe one of if not the main theme is going to be of regret, assuming what happened is negative and their upholding a conflicted promise 27 years later.
My guess is the blonde pony tail might have died, since we don't see her behind the group when they're running.
Except, she is outside the burning building, so I guess a tree might have felt on top of her afterwards.
She may have been left injured, burned or maybe uninjured.
Although, it's hard to imagine a promise two decades later, revolving around that purple phenomena without having literally changed something about one of them,
if not the past if they affected time (traveled) somehow,
or someone else. Whoever lived in that burning building.
If there's time travel, (note the doe looking at them running, similar to Max's spirit animal when she time traveled)
-Maybe they were in a time loop of that pony girl dying, trying to save her, and simply stopped trying 27 years later.- but then I'd imagine the promise line to sound more dramatic if it was that.
I don't know. Something negative, random time rewind, and they couldn't change it for the better.-
-Except that would revert to time theory where Chloe was supposed to die, or else the city is destroyed, which would be weird if that happens again... because then they should call it Life is Strange... damn, I don't know anymore, lol.-
I'm almost certain there's going to be time travel from that purple light. The description also has "through time" in it.
Otherwise, theme-wise,
somewhat coming of age, unfulfillement of the present from their drama of being a successful band.
Obviously drama. Bond of friendship. Maybe, probably romance.
... Rage is in the title, so there will be blame for either that friend dying or somehow failing their dream.

I remember trying to Shazam the song in the tralier from after rewatching it over and over, I was completely blown away when watching the game Awards 2023, though from an article I read on DON’T NOD’s new series about the game, is that the this music from Nora Kelly will have a featured soundtrack for the game! Lost Record's one of the games that caught my attention from the Game Awards, happy to see it's from DONT NOD. I remember seeing a teaser pic about this (it was untitled at the time) on you guys twitter page iirc. It's cool it turned out to be this project.
I'm a fan of the LiS series, also recently finished Jusant (also great) and overall am just a fan of this studio even if their games aren't 100% perfect imo. I'm excited and looking forward to more info & footage of Lost Records. Best of luck with development and release. Btw I love that it seems to be an all girls/female main cast!

The same team. Lead by Michel Koch (the creative director of LiS) This is his teams first game since LiS 2 as they were relocating his studio to Montreal.
