@@kariwadge4883 In the video Julie says this stitch is worked in multiples of 13+2. When you follow along with the pattern in the stitch tutorial here, it should help to see how that is applied. Enjoy!

If you're having trouble resizing the stitch repeat, you can follow along with the tutorial exactly until you're comfortable!
once you add the new color do you cut the yarn from the last color or keep it attached to the ball of yarn?
Thank you for watching! If you're using that color again, you can carry it.
Super 🎉
Thanks for watching!
I'm.doing a blanket . I chained 236 sts I am confused where the repeat starts
In the video Julie says this stitch is worked in multiples of 13+2. When you follow along with the pattern in the stitch tutorial here, it should help to see how that is applied. Enjoy!
Pretty
Thank you for watching!
What if you didnt want to change colors? Do you just chain one, turn, 2 sc in the first and then the 5 sc? Or how would it be done?
Samantha Clark Yes, you just carry on as usual.
Thank you for watching! You can omit the color change by simply ignoring that instruction.
Much better video than another one I just watched. You go slower. Thank you.
Can I make this as a blanket with more then 41 chain to start?
De G it's up to you, for the base you use multiple of 13 and then plus 2
Yes you can do that. Just do it in the multiples as she posted and add 13 each time. I started one and did 153+2 at the end. I also changed the single stitch to a double. to make it go faster.
@@heathercase26 was the 152 plus 2..baby blanket size?
@@weareablessedmess.4223 thank you for the stitch count for a baby blanket pattern. Now I won't have to go to so much work trying to calculate it out for myself.
Thank you for watching! The multiple for this stitch is given at the beginning of the video. You can make this in any size you like by working up a different multiple.
Is there a way for me to get written Instructions for the zig zag
Thank you for watching! You can find written pattern instructions for all our stitches on our Ravelry page!
If you aren’t changing colors, do you chain one ? You changed to grey and chained one and said it doesn’t count as a stitch, so I’m confused if we still need to chain one if keeping the same color or just 2sc turn and 2sc and continue with the 5
Thank you for watching! You don't have to change color, and you can follow the instructions to continue the pattern.
How many stitches would be a regular baby chevron
Good question! Around the :25 second mark, Julie says this stitch is worked in multiples of 13+2. So, depending on the yarn you're using and your own personal stitch gauge, you'll chain multiples of 13+2 to recreate this stitch pattern in a size of your choosing. Enjoy!
How can I do this stitch in the round?
The instructions say this is worked in multiples of 13 (plus 2, when working in rows). We also have this stitch pattern in joined rounds if you would like to give it a try on a small scale, here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/simple-chevron-cozy
A new desig😊n.
Enjoy the stitch, and share what you make in our community when you do :)
Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial....
Thank you for watching!
Could this stitch pattern be used with hdc instead. It would make it go faster.
Thank you for watching! Give it a try with Hdc!
Could u do this same pattern doing dbc
Thank you for watching! We have a video that shows a variation with double crochet stitches!
Can you please do a video on the Royal ripple by costs and Clark x499 so many want to but the chains keep getting off
Hi Gladys! We're so sorry, the Royal Ripple Afghan is copyright protected and we are not able to make a video for content that is not our own.
Hi I am busy with the rippel blanket and I must say yours is the easiest as I am a beginner and you explain it perfectly. Do you have tutorial on how to fill the bottom and top to make a straight edge.
What size hook are you using?
H
Thank you for watching! The hook size is mentioned in the beginning of the video.
I love your crochet hook. How many stitches would you need for a large blanket?
That depends. When I was looking up ripple patterns, they said 40x40, which was at base a 159 stitch. I wanted something larger than a lap throw, so I upped mine to 341 for (hopefully) 7 ft of blanket width. The length is up to you, though.
Thank you for watching! You can use this stitch to make any size you choose by changing the multiple.
I love your crochet hook. Where can i buy one like this?
Hi Myreille! Julie's crochet hook is from our friends at Happy Crochet Hooks! www.HappyCrochetHooks.com
Wait... is it 13, 2,13,2,13,2? Or is it just 13 then at the very end add 2.
Thank you for watching! The pattern explains stitch multiples.
Why no voice pass......
Thank you for watching! UA-cam dubbed music over our tutorials, so you can listen to our original videos in our school, right here: www.americancrochetassociation.com/p/stitch-challenge
why 41 chains? this is something all youtubers skip to explain but it's the most important thing if i want to make my own designs and not just repeat what was done in the video.
Great question, and we agree stitch repeats are important. That's why all our stitch tutorial videos note the stitch repeat (please listen in at the 27 second mark of this video to hear that this stitch is worked in multiples of 13+2). That is why this example starts with a chain of 41 (13x3 + 2 = 41). Enjoy :)
I’ve done this 4 times and I end up with 4 stitches if I skip two at the end. I have chevron! I quit!
Sounds like you're having trouble - I'm so sorry to hear that! Have you followed the step-by-step tutorial in the video exactly?
