After buying 2 actuators (thinking the 1st 1 did work) at a cost of $42 each. After opening 1 up and trying to put t back together, after doing the 9 volt battery to move door to centerpoint. This video right here did the trick. Just replace actuator, (which the screws closest to the middle of the dash for the cover and actuator is a pain to get out and back in). if heat and cold doesn't work, just take ground off battery for about 1-2 mins put back on and turn ignition switch to the on position 2 click not run you will hear all actuators 1 at a time start cycling. Let it do this for about 10 min to make sure it complete full reset on all actuators. Turn switch back off, then crank up vehicle. There you go problem fixed (if blend door was your problem) Thanks again for this video , it work for me 2002 chevy tahoe dual front and rear.

well i need to try this because i have replaced two actuators and another motor under there and I STILL have clicking noise from them not calibrating. It is really getting on my nerves because eventually it drains my battery and I have to charge it with a charger to crank it. Man I hope this works!!!!!!

@@jasonberry9103 sorry for late response, I have no rear climate control, only driver and passenger. Passenger side is the problem. Took out fuse(dic) or whatever it is called, turn key on after a min and waited about a min....turn off for min then back on ...not recalibrate. Guess I'll try again! THANK YOU!!!! I tried everything with fuses and other hints. I left the battery unhooked for more than 10 minutes. The trick came from you... when I rebooked the battery, DO NOT start the vehicle but let the power flow and wait about 5 minutes while all of the actuators reset. Everything is back to normal. 👍

Thanks for this video. I have a 2001 Yukon Denali that needed a blend door calibration, but all of the other procedures I found on the Internet didn't work for me. Following your tips (primarily not starting the engine, but rather turn the key to the on posistion after disconnnecting the battery, or AC fuse, did the trick for me.)

Try removing the 10 amp fuse from the fuse box under the hood that's marked HVAC/EACS
for 10 seconds and then reinstall it. Next turn on your engine for two minutes to let all the actuators reset then fully turn off the engine for 20 seconds, then turn the engine back on to see if it resets. You may not need the new actuator.

Thanks for this info. It helps me understand a little more about the problem with my 2014 GMC Sierra - warm/hot air from driver's side vents for the last 14 months. Dealer first replaced the HVAC control module (had to wait 3 months for part). Problem returned 6 months later. Dealer then replaced the blend door actuator and calibrated same. Problem returned 2 days later. Dealer then "updated software and recalibrated the HVAC system". Problem returned 5 days later. Any suggestions on what to try next? Thanks much.

Mike Larry - Appreciate your comment, but I never had to pay for any of the work as the problem was initially noted at the 33 month mark of the truck's new vehicle 36 month warranty. The final resolution required removal of the plenum (which also required removal of the dashboard) in order to replace a blend door actuator that is attached on the firewall side of the plenum. This work was done about six weeks ago and since then the AC has worked properly.

I wished this worked. Unhooked battery, waited a few minutes, plugged battery back in, inserted key, turned a couple clicks but not all the way until it starts.

Good question. Sometimes you need to repeat the reset process a few times to get the system back to normal.
Once you get back in the truck after turning the key, make sure to wait 10 minutes before turning it all the way back on.

Well sometimes the recirculation one will fail but you won't notice it. Then another like the temp will fail and then you do. Then you discover that two have failed if you read the codes.
Many times the Recir led will not stay lite when it fails but some people don't really notice that.

Can't imagine why the last step. I wonder if someone added that as a joke but somehow it started being taken seriously.
