Great video, Thanks. The third screw holding the shroud is almost impossible to get off and impossible to screw back on, I left mine in the glove compartment.
You said one side is cold and the other is hot, but there's no mention of where the controls are set. Is that the actuator that controls the driver's side temp or the passenger side? On my truck, the driver's side temperature won't change. Is that the one I need to replace?
I know there's more than one blend door actuator so where can I find the part number for each blend door actuator? The one I'm trying to replace is under the steering wheel. And I don't want to buy one if it's going to be the wrong one.
So on my '04 Tahoe the airflow is stuck on defrost no matter which setting you put it on. And the drivers side temp control (analog) is finnicky. Sometimes when you move it to hot it stays cold. I also hear that clicking sound right down at the passenger foot area. Does this part control both those issues or just one?
If your air is blowing out vents while driving with system off try selecting/changing output location and temp while system is OFF. It'll control the ambient air that comes in the vehicle while driving. Mine let's you choose vents, floor, etc as well as temperature. Those settings control what it does when the climate control is not actively running.
I had the issue in my 2004 Tahoe just to find out the prior owner of my vehicle just removed it entirely now I am missing the screws for it and have to figure that out now
@@MercuryRisingFast my climate controls are reversed all of a sudden. Hot is cold and cold is now hot. And it doesn’t respond to trying to blend in between. So I was trying to figure out if it might be the blend door actuator. But I did some more digging and now convinced it is. I just need to know which actuator. I saw that there was more than one.

Been having this problem for years.. cant believe how easy this is. Thanks for the video
I've looked for 3 years now to get the right video.. thank you

Alot of people leave that one off for future repairs, the 2 is plenty enough
Exactly, I did the cabin air filter mod and that third one was a nightmare to get to and I couldn't get it to go back in so it stays in the cupholder.
Thank you for your efforts ❤

which actuator you change if your driver's side is blowing cold while running heat
Is there one on the drivers side as well?
Great video!
the temoerarure contrel switch which position must stay? hot or cold side?
@APDTY What is the name of this whole area you are working on this video?
Great video...

Just take the old one out first and match the number that's on it
@@AsterixSlashStar😂😂😂
It's called the ac mode actuator

Just the flow amount
Would this also work on the driver side if that’s the side blowing out hot air when the A/C is on?
si compa, si tu camioneta echa aire caliente del lado del chofer, ese es el que hay que cambiar, apenas lo hice yo en la mia.
I did the replacement and still no hot air. It does the same thing as the old one goes hot then switch on it's own to cold
Why Isn’t air blowing through the dashboard in front of the windshield
Wish I knew the part number of the one he installed! Mine had been changed and is the wrong one….
Is this the same for a 99?
Does anyone know why it squeaks over on the right side ?
Thanks
Does this cause air to come on while driving ? I’m losing my mind in this

He just set the door to what he preferred and left the actuator off ?
he was lucky that last screw that was not there was missing. lol. That's actually where I'm stuck
This is the problem with people adding these videos. You don’t get anyone responding to peoples questions.

I know that feeling. Having to work outside in bad weather conditions. I wish I had a garage all the time.
I’m sorry but he’s not your mechanic. He is not in titled to help you with your problems. He has a life also maybe you should go get one
