Yes, these were horrible advice. Every woman wants only one man (and not many). Its true, that there exists some man, which are reppeled when woman is loyal and wants only him (because they feel chained or trapped = maybe they want "play the field" and only when some female shows him that he has "rival", they see this woman like a price (and they start to work to win this price = marriage). But these type of males are quite stupid.
