- The final climactic scene from the long thought lost Director's Cut of 1975's made-for-TV movie THE LEGEND OF LIZZIE BORDEN - Directed by Paul Wendkos.
Elizabeth Montgomery was so beautiful and Hollywood's great legends
RIP Katherine Helmond, playing Emma here (died 2019) and Elizabeth Montgomery, playing Lizzie here (died 1995).
Interesting footnote: Elizabeth Montgomery is actually a distant relative of Lizzie Borden I believe they were 6th or 7th cousins
Where’s derwood?
I have always just loved, the barest hint that Bridget knew more then what she let on 1 :33
emma duncan ha I hate her she told my little secret
There are many historians that believe that if Lizzie was not guilty ..she certainly knew who was... And there are others that believe she worked in concert with her sister, her late mother's brother, and the maid in order for the deed to be carried out... The Uncle and the housekeeper were paid off.... If you think about it it wouldn't have been to hard to do back then.
There are also some who believe that she was waiting for the right moment... For instance while the Uncle was visiting to do the deed
@@Kanuck1818 I actually feel that way too.
@@Kanuck1818 no one else had motive. Uncle John didn't benefit in the will. Bridget's job was well paid for the time & she had a pay rise 6months earlier: Abby & the girls looked after their own bedrooms, Brigid did cooking, laundry & ad hoc tasks. . Lizzie & Emma inherited what would be $4 milion each in today's money.
They said she was paid off
Do calm and murder go together? Murder and calm? Murder? The awfulness and terribleness of it will never be forgotten. There is still blood on the organ keys, and they used Bon Ami !
I remember watching this as a boy on the Sunday Night ABC movie.
It first aired on television in February 1975
The title of this video is a blatant lie - all the poster did was switch out the music that plays as the final scene ends and the credits roll.
Well aren't you the clever girl now do you feel better did you feel better that you did that I mean who gives a freak
Same BS with some music you added at the end. Don't waste our time by lying about the content.
It's a joke, ya dingdong. :-P
Elizabeth is kinda scary in this movie. still love her... but still.
Just doing her job; a fine actress, still sorely missed by some of us--
Every second of this movie is as precious as gold. Thank goodness it was made when it was. Some horrible creature like Anne Hathaway would be cast as Lizzie if it were made now.
You do realize there has been movies made and the person to play with the words Christina Ricci and I don’t know the other woman’s name that played in the last movie
@@tammiepage6489 Chloe Sevigny
Saw this on prime time when I was ten. It made an indelible impression.
In 2015, my husband and I styed at the Lizzy Borden home over night. I wished I could have spent more time on 2nd street I was so fasiniated beautiful home and a lot of strange stuff happened. It was sold in 2020 to new owner's. Lee Anne Warner died she was the prior owner when I and my husband stayed that night.
Sounds like you were not afraid
@@m.e.d.7997 No not really but, I do realize that this home is very creepy and it makes me nauseated and freezing at the same time. It is in different owner's now.
@@veronicakennedy6977 Would love to visit some time. I live nearby
@@m.e.d.7997 If it is still open for Ghost Hauntings I would recommend you to go, or at least take a tour you would love it.
@@veronicakennedy6977 Thank you. Not open as an Inn though it seems. Will check it out at some point.
Just click bait! Same ending with different music added.
Is a classic film
So just the song is different?
Not guilty -- but no one at church would sit near her after the trial. Not every judgment is in a court of law.
bewitched has gotten dark
If the times hadn't been what they were when this movie was made, I'm sure there would've been a lesbian affair between Bridgett & Lizzie.
Actually lizzie did have an affair with a female actress a few years after this incident.
@@CaptainSpalding72 , we know. We've read the same book you have.
@@chrish.4686 What book?
Lol, 😆 I can't believe this video is wrapped up by the song Free Bird.
Same footage with new music added!
Terrible music added.
Wow, what BS. At about minute 4 the original music is cut and replaced with a Skynrd song. This isn't a director's cut, this is a crappy fan created tweek.
she was so great playing lizzie, although i think or i know lizzie was innocent she never could of done that i think she may have been in on it but she didnt ax em i love you lizzie!!!
Lizzie did it.
U have issues
Rock music for the 19th century?
Freebird? LOL
HA!
At last we're really free😧? hummmmm🤔
I have never seen this before.😒😒😒
Shame this didn't tell the whole story. What really went on that day with Emma... If she was truly out of town why was her car photoed in the Ally behind there house at said time of killing.
There were all to of questions not brought out in this movie. And not answered. Alot tends to point toward Emma.
Ridic
speaking of who killed/murder andrew/abby in real life in 1892/93 only god knows
who did it and who is ling in court
in this movie we see what lizzie is day dreaming that she wanted to muder her father anderw and abby with a hatched but is not saying that emma did it
