I hauled a 12 lb steelhead 3.5 miles on a stringer at night once, but it was through the city, all I got was crazy looks. I had walked to the river for some catch and release, but this guy decided to fight with every ounce of life he had and did want him to go to waste. I did try to call my lady as well, but she didnt pick up haha

Love these types of videos, helps me connect since bass fishing is next to nonexistent where I am. Also, thanks to you and Stephanie for setting such a positive example of a young marriage, it's too rare and it really is inspirational. Keep making every cast count!

Great video LFG! I really enjoy this type of video too. They're fun and easy to watch, plus you get to see some of the outdoors in your back yard. Please do make more of these types of vids, Justin - I really, really enjoy your channel and your style of editing and of course your sense of humour is great! I know you think you are a lucky guy (and you are - Stephanie is wonderful), but rest assured, she is equally lucky. I look forward to the new adventures that are awaiting you guys once Emmie joins the family! Heather🇨🇦

I would love for you to get lfd involved in one of your night time excursions. What better way to bond even more than you already do!! Matter of fact you should consider doing it Vlog style. I know I would love to see it

Hey Jason if you do more night fishing on the bank for cats you should the glow sticks that clip to the end of your rod. They work great my fishing buddy Tyler and I use to go to Smithville late at night and we used them and even got some with bells on them so if we had multiple rods we didn’t have to worry about missing a bite. I love these kind of shows and wish I lived closer because I would go night fishing for cats all the time.

I always use cast iron for fish. I never use oil though, real butter is where its at. with smaller catfish like that, I also don't use any breading, just spices. Another favorite in our home is on a cedar plank on the grill. With bigger catfish, I dice them and boil them in a crawfish boil! Good stuff. I enjoy your video's!

If anyone is doing the same on some calm water like he was, leave that line super loose. i usually pull out about 2-3ft of slack.. What happens when its tight is, they are biting on the line itself and they feel the tension and drop it. when its loose they are already swimming away and the hook sets itself. I managed a catfish pond for the past 6 years, catch the heck out of them. ive also cleaned about 150,000lbs of catfish during that time.
Wish i could walk down to the water from my house. Looks awesome!

Me and my buddy went Friday, we walked probably 3/4 of a mile to our honey hole. We caught 2 5 pound channels, had 2 break off and missed about 12 good bites. Let me tell ya u had to keep ur eye on the rods because ur line would bounce real quick then ur pole would go flying toward the water they hit so hard and ran with it. It was a blast and they tasted good too. Also the trail walking in the dark, bring a buddy with ya. That way if ya see something you trip em and run for your life
