You and your Pops catching smallies in Canada takes me back to when my Dad was alive. He loved fishing in Canada. Miss him every day. Cherish the memories and your time together.
I’ve been watching you, even before the googan squad. You have helped me immensely. I would love to fish with you, sometime. Proud of you, and your content. It’s all about the family. God bless you, all
I always enjoy your father and son adventures. It’s the off camera talk that really touches two men’s hearts while making every cast count. I have a son and love the times we spent together fishing. Awesome filming with the big camera LFG and an excellent edit,
I'm a lifelong fisherman and had never hooked myself. Not 3 days after watching your (badass) dad remove that hook from his leg did I BURY one prong of a treble hook in my middle finger. I didn't have my side cutters that he recommended (actually meant to throw them in my kit that morning) but I did have my Leatherman. One word of advice to others finding themselves in this situation, it's MUCH harder to push a hook through your own flesh than you would think! Impressed with myself that I pulled it off and surprised that it didn't hurt more afterward. Might want to add this video to the "How-To" list, LFG! Thanks for the tips and helping me keep my cool with a Ratt'l Trap lodged in my hand!
LFG you've been quite an inspiration. Brain tumors cancerous or not isn't anything to joke with. I lost my mom Monday to brain cancer and you've helped with some of the struggle.
Your dad is a lot like my dad! Has 've the ability to hurt himself really bad, knowledge of how to fix the problem to get taken care of all while being relatively quite throwing a chuckle or two in for good measure! Gotta love the dad strength and high pain tolerances!
LFD you are the man. Years ago I had a buddy hook his dad with a 1oz jig in the right ear lobe. They were on Lake Okeechobee. Funny thing was they didn't have any cutters that would cut the hook. He spent the day looking like a pirate with a 1oz jig earring in his right ear!
Successful retrieval of the hook out of the leg! Fist bump! Oh my God not again! I actually laughed out loud! Glad LFD is ok but I couldn't help myself from laughing.
I'm glad I saw this video when it came out. My 7 year old son got a hook stuck in the back of his head today and I had to do exactly what your dad did. He cried but, took it like a champ. My hats off to my son & your dad. 🐟🎣
The biggest thing that I got from this is... Always cherish the times with the craziness and the beauty of that caliber. My dad would have loved to have fished in that place. Never forget! And yes he hooked himself 2 times that I know of. 🤣
Never hooked myself man but I am buying my first boat this weekend not a bass boat but it’s a nice boat you and lunkers rly inspired me to get a boat and really start making fishing videos so thanks 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I would like to thank our Courteous and Very Informative tour guide for a most enjoyable and scenic tour. Captain Justine, your descriptions were Spot On! Great footage!!! God is Good!!! ✝ LFD, you Really took one for the team. My brother some years ago did that with a "bait keeper" hook in his back. Of course the ER or Dr. was out of the question left it up to ME (gulp) to take needle nose and force the fist barb out (like you did) while NOT letting the second barb go in. A LOT of praying and him biting a stick and he lived to tell the tale. Feel better and one word, Antiseptic! God Bless you both and PLEASE, Try to have some fun!!! lol
Such a great video Duder! poor pops!! Yeah i got both hands stuck in wicked treble hooks while trying to unhook a massive catfish. I was in the middle of nowhere, Oregon and it involved ripping flesh, HaHaHa. Didn't stop me I continued to fish another 4 hours... It's happened a few times that was the worst.
...■■■OMG... you and your dad are (comedy) Gold on UA-cam... may I suggest that you and your dad do more videos together...it is really a treat to watch you two...you should break away from the immature googans anyway!!!...■■■
I fish northern Michigan almost every year and for an ol’Kentucky boy one of the coolest things for me is watching bald eagles and loons, and listening to loons and the Sandhill cranes. There’s just something about being in the middle of nowhere watching those sights and listening to those sounds that makes you feel so connected to nature.
Those drone angles when you were landing the fish were awesome! More shots like that during one of your “how to” videos would be phenomenal! Show us where your aiming, how far it is, boat positioning etc. love the videos!
I was shuttering when he was trying to get that hook out. Thankfully i never had it that bad. Fished Ontario years ago was best time i had fishing. Caught my pb Walleye 6 Ilbs. Will never forget it. Got loons in Minnesota too. Love the sound they make. Hear them for miles.
My buddy reached back to cast, his hooks grabbed my hat, and than casted it right off of my head into yhe water.. that was scary! Glad he just took the hat... I hope you're ok dude.
Yeah same here i've been stabbed many times but i've never had to do any kind of surgery like the braid trick or cutting the hook. I hope it stays that way lol.
LFD should start carrying maximum strength oral gel tooth ache medicine, to numb the skin, won’t stop all the pain but make it a little easier next time he performs self surgery
I’m sure by now you have learned and taught your dad the snatch method of removing buried hooks. Much easier and virtually pain free. Wish I was with you. Good luck and god bless
In a word: tranquility. The music and nature footage is so relaxing. I needed it today. Thanks. And uh, sorry about the lure LFD. That was horrible ! Hope your healing nicely.
Had a bass shake a Pop R into my hand about 15 yrs ago, now I never leave home without a pair of end cutters in my boat or pocket. Great video as always!
I love this video LFD is a true warrior man. I've watched it before but have watched alot of your other videos and totally forgot about this one. Lol Wow what a trooper. I can handle pain but this omg.
That was some of the most amazing footage the small mouths y'all caught and the bald eagles the loons that was amazing.. that's worth a bucket list to go up there and see that stuff.
Okay...after feeling so much pain for LFD's hook mishap....I couldn't stop laughing at 6:15. He is clutzy. Love watching you two spending such quality time. I miss my parents. I hooked my self pretty good a couple of times with those nasty treble hooks. Thanks for the video. Love and God bless you and your family always
LFD.... You are one tough cookie!!! LFG..... This was some of the BEST up close "catch" video you've shot! I think you might have some really great footage for Googan Squad Bait/Lures advertising!
LFD is THE MAN! Such a beautiful country. It's always been my dream holiday wish. One day soon I hope. Which part of Canada is this ? Thanks to you and your Dad for a great video. Ash in Bonnie Scotland
Love watching you guys fish for smallies!! It would be amazing to see you travel to Dale Hollow Lake where the world record smallmouth was caught. There isnt very many fishing videos done there and nobody does it better than you!! Keep the awesome fishing videos coming amd hopefully we all can see you hook up some smallies in Dale Hollow.
I have had that happen to me twice when I reeled in a fish and wasn't able to get a hold on it quick enough. Both times went past the barb. I can laugh about it now but it does make you sweat a little when you push it through. One of the times I slowly cut it out. I made sounds just like your dad. Funny how those are the times you remember most. Be thankful you can fish with your dad and always make time for that! Keep on fishin!
Hi from over the pond . Your DAD is my Hero , not every Dad can push a treble hook through their leg , please give him a fist bump for me as i felt every push and pull of his skin , He's Great !!!
Smallmouth do require some drag, but it often causes line twist and also can be set too light for a good hook set. The back real feature is great for smallies. You can tighten the drag for good hook ups, and utilize the back real to fight it.
I have been hooked several times over the years and you can tell that your dad is experienced at hook removal. Several years ago my son and I were in a canoe fishing for largemouth bass. I hooked a 3+ pound bass and got it to the canoe and while landing it I got two of the three hooks on a treble hook embedded in my hand. My son cut the fishing line and paddled me about 3/4 mile with me holding the fish with my good hand. I had no wire cutter so he drove me and the fish to the ER to get the hooks cut out.
Fishing that worm like that reminds me of fishing a slow go . And if you’ve never hooked your self then you’re not fishing ! Looks like you and your dad had a great time . 👍👍🚣🐟😎
Your dad is a brute lol. That was hard to watch
#savage
That was awesome ur dads a beast iv hooked my leg good throwing my baitcaster at the cement river

The bond you have with your father is what this world needs more of. Great vibes man. Excellent video as always.
wow LFD is a tough old bugger aint he? they dont make em like that anymore
You and your Pops catching smallies in Canada takes me back to when my Dad was alive. He loved fishing in Canada. Miss him every day. Cherish the memories and your time together.
“I’ve never hooked myself but I’ve hooked my friends” 😂😂😂 your poor friends
I’ve been watching you, even before the googan squad. You have helped me immensely. I would love to fish with you, sometime. Proud of you, and your content. It’s all about the family. God bless you, all
The filming of the clear water and the fish coming up to take the bait....EPIC shots
Thank you
I always enjoy your father and son adventures. It’s the off camera talk that really touches two men’s hearts while making every cast count. I have a son and love the times we spent together fishing. Awesome filming with the big camera LFG and an excellent edit,

THAT is a blessed day brother. Love the relationship you and your dad have. Reminds me of me and my boy (22 years old, but he'll always be my boy).
LFD IS A STRAIGHT BEAST!!!
LFG you've been quite an inspiration. Brain tumors cancerous or not isn't anything to joke with. I lost my mom Monday to brain cancer and you've helped with some of the struggle.
Damn....I almost lost it when he hooked himself again!!
I laughed so damn hard I was crying after he hooked himself the second time.
LFD is one tough ole bugger that’s fer sure. The most beautiful scenery I have seen from a fishing vid. Thanks!
Loon's sound so outdoors. Eagles, The big bird, Is Majestic and AMERICAN.
Your dad is a lot like my dad! Has 've the ability to hurt himself really bad, knowledge of how to fix the problem to get taken care of all while being relatively quite throwing a chuckle or two in for good measure! Gotta love the dad strength and high pain tolerances!
LFD.... you are a champion!! 🤘
hahaha oh baby. When LFD got it in his hand after the gnarly bit, that was gold.
LFD...what a thug
LFD you are the man.

I hooked myself this one time and older gent with pair of pliers grabs a hold of the hook and says "On 3 now, ya ready? One" and he yanks it out.
That’s some real dad shit right there. Pushing that hook through himself! What a tank.
Successful retrieval of the hook out of the leg! Fist bump! Oh my God not again! I actually laughed out loud! Glad LFD is ok but I couldn't help myself from laughing.
I laughed so hard on that fist bump attempt. Comedy gold! Thanks LFD.
I feel so bad for you dad, ouch!

17 years of fishing never hooked passed the bard! Anyone else?
Luckily same. Although I did get a pair of heavy duty cutters just in case this season.
Yeah same here i've been stabbed many times but i've never had to do any kind of surgery like the braid trick or cutting the hook. I hope it stays that way lol.
Me neither. It's always on the back of my mind so I'm always careful about it.
7citiesfishing never hooked anything with a bard before 😶🧐
...but them barbs are hella dangerous i tell huewhat
I wish I could say I haven’t!!! It’s not fun
LFD! Taking it like a champ, what a guy!!
LFD should start carrying maximum strength oral gel tooth ache medicine, to numb the skin, won’t stop all the pain but make it a little easier next time he performs self surgery
Way smart!!
Dang Stacey, that is way smart. Why haven't I ever thought of that?
Yeah been there done that appreciate the tip

I hooked my husband in the ear just this year. Those loons were really beautiful and the noises they make are insane!
