just to let you know, theres a setting in the options menu to auto complete button challenges for specials if the button prompts for specials bother you that much. me personally I think the button challenges are more fun though. theres also a difficulty option called custom where you can customize the settings of the difficulty mode to your leisure if you have the dlc, and there is an option to turn off all aggro except for superbosses and unique monsters.
Vess' Blade quest is literally one of the most cutest, but most saddest quests in this game, ngl. And honestly I recommend doing the Blade quests that you really wanna do depending which Blade caught your eye. This game's world building especially with these characters is just unbelievably amazing. 😭
I want Morag to step on me. That little detour with the bloody orphans was so unnecessary, I know it was to reintroduce Roc but it could've easily been an optional side quest and saved us a lot of time on the Main Story. Also, don't worry we all have to through that difficult period of acknowledging any part of Tora, we don't want to but we gotta.
Given how Mor Adrain looks I’d believe she’d be into that shit lol. And the orphan storyline REALLY felt like it came outta nowhere. Yeah it’s hard to admit but Tora is a great aggro tank he makes the fights SO much easier
This may be a little late, but now that you've arrived in Mor Ardain, let me tell you the true strength of salvaging. Mor Ardain is the first area where you can buy gold containers. While they are expensive, they are VERY easy to get money out of, if you do your quick time events correctly. Additionally, there are two pretty easy, but very nice rewarding salvage spots, one in the middle of Torigoth, and one near the edge of a port in the beginning of Mor Ardain. Now, other than just making a lot of money from this, you can eventually invest that money into raising each area's affinity VERY high. You do this, by what else, buying more gold containers. However, selling in areas raises affinity, and selling gold containers is easily one of the fastest ways and cheapest ways (after salvage grinding), to get said affinity. I recommend doing this strat with multiple salvage mastery blades. This is an easy way to buy that expensive core crystal in Torigoth (When you buy this Core Crystal, you can get back your money by equipping the blade you get from awakening the core crystal, and talking to the same shopkeeper who sold you said core crystal.) I hope this all helps!
ROC! On Rex, he has the fastest smash art in the game and he gets done so dirty. I always love having him on the team. And Vess’s quest is always a gem to see. Blade quests are always so damn satisfying to play through and watch. Except one but she’s too adorable and useful to hate. This is always a fun little treat to the day when you update. Glad to see more coming our way.
I’m definitely going to be on the look out for blade quests once Vess’s is done and and I’m happy Roc is still alive…technically love that zesty ass chicken
@@DeiZeiga Most Blade quests happen with blades you own and they tell you in the affinity chart so you don’t need to worry too much there. But one to keep in mind, in chapter 5, talk to the info broker in Mor Ardain and he gives you one for a price. One of my personal favorites and you’ll like the blades, if not the quest itself.
11:57 Fun fact in the game files each Blade have coded their gender as either male or female due to how some of the Merc Group missions require to send Blades of certain gender to reach the mission base requirements, all except Roc who is 4, just 4.
@@DeiZeiga Nope, never explained. That finding was the xenoblade community doing on their own, cracking the game code to check things like unused content, or more importantly the stats and properties of the level 4 specials as nowhere in the game tells you what are their effects And speaking of details only known through data mining turns out that the Xeno 2 combat system of the party is entirely built upon having a Blade always equipped, that includes Rex at the beginning of the game and Jin in the ship part. They actually had a Blade but it was made invisible both the body and thread conecting to the character.
You know something i like about Vess? It's the fact that she's one of the VERY FEW blades obtainable through side quests, and not through the gacha, it's nice to be rewarded with a blade for your hard work instead of rolling a dice for it, isn't it?
SERIOUSLY! I didn’t even know there were blades obtainable through quests I’m used to gacha games at this point but I prefer earning them through gameplay
@@DeiZeiga Yeah, like i said though, it's like 5-6 blades out of the 40 ish there is in the base game (since there's some spoiler NG+ blades). I got all base game blades by abusing cloud save backups from Switch Online to get the last few, it's still awful but it beats grinding for core crystals, since this game only has 1 save file per user as opposed to 1 and 3 which have multiple, i guess they did so to avoid that, but the game came out before Switch Online, so that clearly didn't work for them in the end.
@@DeiZeiga I love this game not since Etika have I enjoyed someone's gameplay as much yours. Looking forward to how you react to the journey of Chadsaurus Rex.
Each blade has a quest to them, if you want to fully unlock their skills tree you need to do their quests. As for mercenary missions, there are required skills and recommended skills. The required skills are self explanatory, the recommended reduce the mission time. 4:12 now imagine someone who uses PS, Xbox and Nintendo controllers. The X button is a nightmare.
Lmao congratulations on doing your first side quests, and it’s amazing to see that you are enjoying the game. I think the moment when Mythra accidentally went to the mens bedroom was funny and it was cute that pyra was concerned for Rex. As always I enjoy your video ^^
Fun fact all blades have a gender assigned to them being male, female, animal most are obvious but some are not as easy to tell but there are merc missions that sometimes needs an amount of blades that are a specific gender but there are 2 blades can will never raise that counter one of which is dlc the other being Roc with them having been given the gender 4
@@DeiZeiga Dromarch's name in Japan is "Byakko", which is the name of a legendary white tiger in Asian folklore. "Dromarch" is the name of a similar beast in Welsh folklore. "Homura", the Japanese word for "flame", is "Pyra", from the Greek word for fire, and "Hikari", meaning "light", is "Mythra", the blade of myth and legend. ok got 2 tips for ya, tip 1now that your in mor ardain i recommend progressing the story a bit further before doing this (you will see why) at the dock you will see a salvage spot, if you purposely fail the salvage (make sure no blades have salvage mastery on you squad) it will spawn a hermit crab/snail thing, when you kill it it has about a 50 to 75 percent change to drop a common core crystal and i think about a 15% change for a rare one, if you do a full break combo (break, topple, launch, smash) then you will make it drop its loot table twice giving you good chances at getting those crystals, tip 2 i would recommend finishing the pink quests in your merc mission asap as those will unlock pouch items at the cities shops, if you buy all the items in the shop some will sell you their deeds, these deeds give you permanent bonus, like running speed, minus detection range and more gold dropped from enemies, aside from cylinders i feel its the best way to spend you money
@@DeiZeiga I have one more tip to add, once you have enough money to buy 99 golden cylinders do so on the titan with the highest affinity (since they'll cost less), preferably do a bunch of side quests on that titan to reach 5 Star affinity on it (i'd recommend Gormott since it's got the most side quests by far). Then sell the cylinders on other titans (where they cost more) so you'll regain all the money and maybe even get some profit, rinse and repeat to raise said titan's affinity (which works kinda like town affinity in the first game), doing so unlocks more merc missions and side quests for said titans, and some of these can lead to shops with new items and even rare blades in some cases.
@@DeiZeiga No problem, this will sound counterintuitive, but you actually get the most ammount of money by constantly salvaging, the salvaging spot in the middle of Gormott drops tons of gold with the right cylinders, blades with the "salvage mastery" field skill and getting all 3 QTEs right (there is a later area that drops way more gold but i won't spoil it, i'll tell you which one it is once you get there). Enough money to buy 99 golden cylinders with 5 star affinity is around 2.5 million gold iirc, hope this helps.
