*In today's episode of Breath of the Wild...* The world breathed a sigh of relief as it was confirmed that the 900/900 korok save file was not erased. In hindsight, it would've been silly to believe it had been, considering the hell of The Hunt. Hoarding 100% save files like a dragon does its gold is something every gamer is sworn to do. But we haven't 100%'d this game yet, have we? As per the 100% speedrun route, all sidequests, shrine quests, & main quests must be completed before "Time!" is called. Upgrading all armor isn't necessary, but it follows a similar mindless repetition that the Korok Hunt did, and any good viewer knows the best content comes from its creator's suffering. _We're all a sadistic bunch, aren't we?_ Nevertheless, Quin continues in his search for Perfection, running around Hyrule with his arms full of various mushrooms and elixirs. If someone were to see him in this state, they would assume he was either dealing or doing drugs. They would be wrong; he hasn't even _found_ those sidequests yet! Quin manages to barter a 5-stamina horse out of his own hands (but at least he didn't sell a 5-speed horse, a tragedy that would be), kill his dog with a group of goblins (it's okay, like Gamer he'll respawn), and meet up with a few shady Koroks with some very shady requests. *Our (mis)adventures conclude for today* with all who requested The Hero of the Wild's help pleased, but there is yet more misery in this world that has yet to be cured.
To do the fireproof lizard quest: you can find them at the mine where the person who wants the fireproof lizards is. If you crouch the lizards won’t run away and you can find them under rocks
6:37 Y'know it's really weird how this game made getting valuable things feel totally different. In previous games getting a big-ass rupee would feel like "oh great more money I don't need," but for some reason getting a diamond is like "whoa shit I can trade in on this for a lot!!!"
It's not so weird when you stop to think about it. BotW has far fewer direct rupee drops in the world compared to most Zelda titles and also a large purchasing incentive in its armor system. And don't forget that when a player needs rupees to buy something, the easiest way to get those rupees is usually to sell from their inventory; but few players will liquidate everything indiscriminately, so, even though most players are likely to have plenty of in-game wealth through the sheer quantity of stuff they've collected, their current rupee count stays relatively low. The other games also generally have a (too low) wallet-cap problem that makes collecting any further rupees utterly useless unless you spend what you have constantly to keep the total rupee number under the wallet-cap. (Don't get me started on TP making me put the rupees back in the chest so I can't clear the dungeon maps... There are other ways to earn rupees in the game. Let me waste them and clear the map! This issue doesn't exist with Agatha!)
Love that Quin is doing all the side quests. In order to give wolf link more hearts I'm pretty sure you have to do the cave of shadows in twilight princess and then save your data to the amiibo. However many hearts you have at the end will be how many wolf link gets.
@@QuinBoBin, have the Zelda & Ganondorf amiibos handy for healing during that quest. Look up where the earliest part of the cave is that you can leave & save, because having to go all the way to the end means you're more likely to lose health along the way & you can't heal with fairies or potions since you can't use items. I got 17 hearts onto my Wolf Link by getting to the first savepoint with that many hearts left; then at each savepoint after that I had less hearts than 17 & no amiibos to heal with & I didn't know that I wouldn't be able to use those savepoints again. In order to get more hearts on him after that, I had to complete the cave from start to finish without having to use both Amiibos to heal, then after defeating the last enemy on the last level, with about 2 hearts remaining, I used the 2nd amiibo to heal & finished the whole cave with full health. You also need to have collected every heart container before you start, so you've got 20 hearts to play with.

i love the side quests so much in this game 😭 but the one where you have to collect the rushrooms for that shady guy by the stable is so weird like link enters his dealer arc
hey Quin, a tip for wolf link. you can upgrade his health by going into twilight princess, going to the cave of ordeals, and scanning the amibo in the pause menu. after that, you just have to play through the cave of ordeals again. you might have to scan him during the levels
Tip for the horses: If your horse is being difficult, it's likely their "bond" stat is not maxed out. If it's below one hundred (max) they will disobey you by going off the direction you sent them every so often. After your bond is maxed out, they stop going rogue. This stat can be increased by doing anything that causes the pink sparkle/happy effect (like feeding the horse and soothing them) up to one hundred, and can be checked when choosing or viewing a horse at a stable.
I think 5 apples max out the bond. Or maybe it was ten? Personally, I use the gallop-recharge-pet method. Alternatively, I've seen some folks that just do not understand how to steer the horses in BotW or continually fail to consider the path autopilot feature. Quin's stuff tends to be short clips strung together, so it's difficult to tell if maybe there is a quirk to the BotW horses that just hasn't clicked for him.
For lizard hunting you can just go to the southern goron mines where the greyson guy that was involved in the tarry town quest was. There are so many lizards there. And under the rocks aswell
Can't wait! This game has tons of good sidequests :) Also the sidequests technically count towards 100%. The percentage bar on the map is just for 100%ing the map. The game itself doesn't have any set rules for 100%, so it's more of a "whatever you think" And don't feel bad if you need to use a guide for some of these sidequests. They can be tough

On the side quest where you have to give the guy a horse, the guy actually sells the horse. You can find him at a stable though I forget which one. He sucks. And my favorite side quest is Terry Town (not sure if this is a legit side quest or considered the main quest but it's still a lot of fun with a great ending)
You can heal Wolf Link by feeding him food, and even give him a large attack buff if you feed him a piece of the better types of meat, like Whole Birds or Raw Gourmet ones. You will know if you triggered it when Wolf Link starts howling after eating it. Also, if you set the Sheikah Sensor+ to track something in particular, Wolf Link will guide you to the item and then sit when he finds it. He will prioritize fighting enemies though
i was doing dishes when i realized you brought in wolf link and immediately stopped and pivoted to look at the screen!!!!! i love op dog!!!!!!! if you want to mess around with his mechanics more, you can get a ton of hearts for him by playing twilight princess (i forget exactly what you need to do in the game) and you can make his attack SUPER effective if you feed him gourmet meat! any food will fill up his hearts just like link's, just drop it on the ground near him
Quin,horses controls become better if you have a higher bond level, there are different ways to do that but my favorite way is just to give the horse apples. I hoped this helped
saw this notification and jumped i just finished all my side quests and i’m starting them all in master mode 🤣 this game is timeless i’ve been playing it for two years it never gets old
the lizard quest is perhaps one of the easiest of the entire game but your thirst for struggle is amazing to witness. also definitely upgrade everything. it's fun, gives you extra abilities, & will help you not get hurt.

Yay, new vid! You do make ‘em fun, big man, not gonna lie. Favorite side quests for me were Tarry Town and Giant Horse. I absolutely love playing with Wolf Link by my side. He will hunt animals and attack enemies. If you use your compendium to search for materials, he will guide you to the nearest once the slate gets a ping. In order to get 100%, it is also about your map, including “discoverable” places, like bridges and such. I also enjoyed Kilton’s quests and got the rewards for that. don't know if you've done any of these yet but some of my favorite side quests are: - hunt for the giant horse - the royal white stallion - hylian homeowner - from the ground up - leviathan bones - the secret club's secret the side quests are one of my favorite parts of the game, can't wait to see you complete all of them!

the thing with horses that makes them feel hard to ride is that once they start liking you, they automatically try to follow the pathways but when they don't like you they sometimes try to go off the pathways
I honestly thought that there will be only challenges, and not just chill gameplay :) but i’m glad that you still play breath of the wild! Also, cooking with Koko sidequest has 3 or 4 parts! It’s called “Koko’s cuisine” or something like that, but I don’t remember all the parts of this sidequest. And yeah, horseback riding might be hard, but it’ even harder, when you have driftstick don’t forget that.
Where did you get your amiibos from? All the places i've seen are so expensive. Also, I would love to see you do a series where you get all of the pictures in the hyrule compendium. Love the videos man, great job
Honestly theres the perfect amount of quests in botw where it doesnt get too repetitive and still feels good to finish them all. Hope youre having fun quin!!
the last percent is probably that bridge near sarjon woods. it wasnt laberled at like 1:09. ps any bridge that isnt labeled is probablyu a missed location so go there for free percent :) edit its prob not that bridge but bridges are missable so just kinda look around the map ig lol
Quin here’s an exploit you can use while scanning amiibo. Save the game before you scan it and if it isn’t something you want, reload the save. The loot from amiibo chests is random, so if you keep reloading the save you should get what you want eventually
quick tip with the horses: the more of a relationship you build with them, the easier it is to control them. to build the relationship, you just have to praise them whenever they’re doing something right (it’s one of the top left buttons, i’m pretty sure. can’t remember, it’s been a min since i’ve hopped on botw.). you’ll see a heart or sparkle or something come from them, and that basically means they’re learning how to be good horse.
I JUST realized that you have a sense of humor very similar to my brother/cousins while playing games which is probably what brings me so much hoy and comfort while watching your videos! So wholesome.
Hey quin!! I'm not sure if it works on lizards but if you ever need to hunt down mushrooms, they're highlighted by stasis! I love your content man, this series is gonna rock!!! Also, I don't remember if you've done it yet, but my favorite side quest is the Giant Horse one. Plus, once you've bonded with a horse, they'll follow paths manually, which makes them easier to ride. Horse autopilot!!
The wolf gets hearts from Twilight Princess. You should totally complete Cave of Ordeals for human and dog. Maxing out all non amiibo armor is a cool one. A fun challenge is filling out all the photos. I usually just buy them all, which I believe to be acceptable for Quinn.
If you're planning to upgrade all the armors (which I know everyone would love to see), I would start slapping every dragons and Lynels you see as the higher upgrades needs a lot of parts from these homies ;) I'm speaking from experience, I've done it and omg. Awesome video, as always.

Some advice for anyone who is trying to get 100% on their map in BotW (as someone who got theirs): - You have to get all of the korok's seeds - Once you got them, you've probably already visited a lot of named locations (which give you more percents) - First thing I suggest is opening your map and searching for every bridge. If it doesn't have a name on your map, you haven't visited it yet. Pin it and go there. Bridges imo are the easiest things to find on your map and also to miss while you're exploring - If you see some ruined houses, that location is probably named. I think you generally should try and go to any place where there is something/which isn't just empty. There's one ruined village on the side of the Death Mountain and I think there's neither a korok nor a quest. It's interesting how the game can tell a story just with its environment, you have to see the village yourself to know what I'm talking about - If you have DLC, use Hero's Path mode to check where you have been. But remember the location can be small and you may have missed it even though you've been in the general area - You can track your progress on a site like Zelda Maps. But it's very VERY tedious. I used to do that and fucked up and accidentally ticked the box with an only location I haven't visited (it was a pond in front of a castle). If you have patience or have already used this site for tracking koroks, you can do that - If you have like 98% and had already done everything on this list, you can try and google something like "locations in BotW that are easy to miss", that helped me Sorry if there are any mistakes, English isn't my first language. Hope it helps someone!
A UA-camr who goes by "Wolf Link" has a minimalist 100% challenge run documented. It proves what is the minimum that is required to get 100%. Very educational and a fun watch. He doesn't do voiceovers but his captions are very funny.
I completed 100% of the game two weeks ago. I suggest you try to get all of Kilton's medals as well. I really enjoy your videos. Brings laughter to a blah kinda day. Thanks for putting in the time with BOTW.
U know, it’s weird. I watched a video on how to get wolf link to maximum hearts (at the time, it only had 3) and it said I had to play twilight princess but when I scanned it like 2 mo later, it had max hearts. I’m gonna make a theory that u need to get all 30 PERMANENT hearts. I’m not sure about this but for me when I got max hearts, it had max hearts too. Also, tip: if you feed raw gourmet meat 🍖 to wolf link, it’ll deal 70-80 damage to enemies (which is way more than early game weapons.) Also, love your videos. The botw quests are pretty wholesome. Like you get a free star fragment from just talking to a girl.

As I person who’s 100%s games there isn’t exactly a lot of content for that but you’re the exception. So I’ve been waiting for a long ass time for you to get round to the side quests of Breath of the wild because, there really good and one of the most fun bits of 100%ing the game. Also I upgraded all the armour to max and it took many hours of grinding. So just do it if you wanna get the true 100%.

My favorite side quest is called "missing in action". You start it by talking to a guy at the gerudo canyon stable. Also you can give more hearts to wolf Link by scanning the amiibo in twilight princess hd, then playing the cave of shadows. then you can transfer however many hearts you have at the end to the amiibo.
So you can find a surplus of Fireproof Lizards at the Southern Mine and, to make it easier you can wear two pieces of stealth buffing armor( or three if you use a Fireproof Elixer) and just run right up to them. Also you can give Wolf Link more hearts by scanning him on Twilight Princess HD. =)

Yes Quin I just started watching your breath of the wild series and I will say because of this series I did subscribe and I will be watching all of your others out the series as I remember the Ocarina of Time came out it was the first Zelda game I played so I'm super excited to see it but I'm also super excited that you're a completionist like me and going for 100% of the game so glad you did the side quest thank you
After 31/2 years I'm still still trying to 100% the game too. Korok seeds are the worst I don't know how you do it. Also I hate the stalhorse pic sidequest (i think you did it already?). Happy you'll get to meet all the fun NPC's!

If I remember correctly, DogLink does little damage, but if you feed him the best kind of raw meat (i don’t remember what it’s called in English, i played in French x)) he then does *fat* damage ! And feeding him normal meat gives him hearts back when he’s hurt :))
Even after playing this game so much, I have a hard time remembering all the side quests. I love them though. There's one in the Geurdo Canyon Stable (guy saying "my friends") that's pretty fun. **BTW the Xenoblade quests get you a set of armor from Xenoblade. Just in case you were curious about it

You don't have to go to the Cave of Ordeals, you just have to scan the Amiibo and it will teleport you to the Dog only cave.
Also Wolf can be healed through feeding meat

Yeah the road autopilot feature is really great and often it's better to not move the horse and just let it follow the path by itself.

i was doing dishes when i realized you brought in wolf link and immediately stopped and pivoted to look at the screen!!!!! i love op dog!!!!!!! if you want to mess around with his mechanics more, you can get a ton of hearts for him by playing twilight princess (i forget exactly what you need to do in the game) and you can make his attack SUPER effective if you feed him gourmet meat! any food will fill up his hearts just like link's, just drop it on the ground near him
Quin,horses controls become better if you have a higher bond level, there are different ways to do that but my favorite way is just to give the horse apples. I hoped this helped
saw this notification and jumped i just finished all my side quests and i’m starting them all in master mode 🤣 this game is timeless i’ve been playing it for two years it never gets old
can confirm: 5 years & started a new game last week. wind bomb is crucial, and trials is still extremely hard in master mode 😭

the lizard quest is perhaps one of the easiest of the entire game but your thirst for struggle is amazing to witness. also definitely upgrade everything. it's fun, gives you extra abilities, & will help you not get hurt.

Yay, new vid! You do make ‘em fun, big man, not gonna lie. Favorite side quests for me were Tarry Town and Giant Horse. I absolutely love playing with Wolf Link by my side. He will hunt animals and attack enemies. If you use your compendium to search for materials, he will guide you to the nearest once the slate gets a ping. In order to get 100%, it is also about your map, including “discoverable” places, like bridges and such. I also enjoyed Kilton’s quests and got the rewards for that.

the thing with horses that makes them feel hard to ride is that once they start liking you, they automatically try to follow the pathways but when they don't like you they sometimes try to go off the pathways

I honestly thought that there will be only challenges, and not just chill gameplay :) but i’m glad that you still play breath of the wild! Also, cooking with Koko sidequest has 3 or 4 parts! It’s called “Koko’s cuisine” or something like that, but I don’t remember all the parts of this sidequest. And yeah, horseback riding might be hard, but it’ even harder, when you have driftstick don’t forget that.

the last percent is probably that bridge near sarjon woods. it wasnt laberled at like 1:09. ps any bridge that isnt labeled is probablyu a missed location so go there for free percent :)

Quin here’s an exploit you can use while scanning amiibo. Save the game before you scan it and if it isn’t something you want, reload the save. The loot from amiibo chests is random, so if you keep reloading the save you should get what you want eventually
Love how you went across half the map to deliver a horse, when you couldve grabbed one close by and save you the trip 😂
quick tip with the horses: the more of a relationship you build with them, the easier it is to control them. to build the relationship, you just have to praise them whenever they’re doing something right (it’s one of the top left buttons, i’m pretty sure. can’t remember, it’s been a min since i’ve hopped on botw.). you’ll see a heart or sparkle or something come from them, and that basically means they’re learning how to be good horse.

Hey quin!! I'm not sure if it works on lizards but if you ever need to hunt down mushrooms, they're highlighted by stasis! I love your content man, this series is gonna rock!!! Also, I don't remember if you've done it yet, but my favorite side quest is the Giant Horse one. Plus, once you've bonded with a horse, they'll follow paths manually, which makes them easier to ride. Horse autopilot!!
The wolf gets hearts from Twilight Princess. You should totally complete Cave of Ordeals for human and dog.
Maxing out all non amiibo armor is a cool one. A fun challenge is filling out all the photos. I usually just buy them all, which I believe to be acceptable for Quinn.
One of my favorite side quests is the Xenoblade Chronicles crossover one because it’s satisfying when you use your big brain and it works out.

If you're planning to upgrade all the armors (which I know everyone would love to see), I would start slapping every dragons and Lynels you see as the higher upgrades needs a lot of parts from these homies ;) I'm speaking from experience, I've done it and omg. Awesome video, as always.

I do nothing but ride around on my horses in BOTW. It’s my favorite thing. Game so pretty. Horses so pretty. And I love that the sound of the hooves changes depending on the terrain. Quality detail.
P. S. Horses become controllable once your bond is 100/100.

Some advice for anyone who is trying to get 100% on their map in BotW (as someone who got theirs):
- You have to get all of the korok's seeds
- Once you got them, you've probably already visited a lot of named locations (which give you more percents)
- First thing I suggest is opening your map and searching for every bridge. If it doesn't have a name on your map, you haven't visited it yet. Pin it and go there. Bridges imo are the easiest things to find on your map and also to miss while you're exploring
- If you see some ruined houses, that location is probably named. I think you generally should try and go to any place where there is something/which isn't just empty. There's one ruined village on the side of the Death Mountain and I think there's neither a korok nor a quest. It's interesting how the game can tell a story just with its environment, you have to see the village yourself to know what I'm talking about
- If you have DLC, use Hero's Path mode to check where you have been. But remember the location can be small and you may have missed it even though you've been in the general area
- You can track your progress on a site like Zelda Maps. But it's very VERY tedious. I used to do that and fucked up and accidentally ticked the box with an only location I haven't visited (it was a pond in front of a castle). If you have patience or have already used this site for tracking koroks, you can do that
- If you have like 98% and had already done everything on this list, you can try and google something like "locations in BotW that are easy to miss", that helped me

A UA-camr who goes by "Wolf Link" has a minimalist 100% challenge run documented. It proves what is the minimum that is required to get 100%. Very educational and a fun watch. He doesn't do voiceovers but his captions are very funny.

U know, it’s weird. I watched a video on how to get wolf link to maximum hearts (at the time, it only had 3) and it said I had to play twilight princess but when I scanned it like 2 mo later, it had max hearts. I’m gonna make a theory that u need to get all 30 PERMANENT hearts. I’m not sure about this but for me when I got max hearts, it had max hearts too. Also, tip: if you feed raw gourmet meat 🍖 to wolf link, it’ll deal 70-80 damage to enemies (which is way more than early game weapons.) Also, love your videos. The botw quests are pretty wholesome. Like you get a free star fragment from just talking to a girl.

As I person who’s 100%s games there isn’t exactly a lot of content for that but you’re the exception. So I’ve been waiting for a long ass time for you to get round to the side quests of Breath of the wild because, there really good and one of the most fun bits of 100%ing the game. Also I upgraded all the armour to max and it took many hours of grinding. So just do it if you wanna get the true 100%.

My favorite side quest is called "missing in action". You start it by talking to a guy at the gerudo canyon stable. Also you can give more hearts to wolf Link by scanning the amiibo in twilight princess hd, then playing the cave of shadows. then you can transfer however many hearts you have at the end to the amiibo.

So you can find a surplus of Fireproof Lizards at the Southern Mine and, to make it easier you can wear two pieces of stealth buffing armor( or three if you use a Fireproof Elixer) and just run right up to them.
Also you can give Wolf Link more hearts by scanning him on Twilight Princess HD. =)

If I remember correctly, DogLink does little damage, but if you feed him the best kind of raw meat (i don’t remember what it’s called in English, i played in French x)) he then does *fat* damage !
And feeding him normal meat gives him hearts back when he’s hurt :))
Even after playing this game so much, I have a hard time remembering all the side quests. I love them though. There's one in the Geurdo Canyon Stable (guy saying "my friends") that's pretty fun.
**BTW the Xenoblade quests get you a set of armor from Xenoblade. Just in case you were curious about it
