the manual for this game is surprisingly good, I'm sad it wasn't physical because I might actually use it regularly if it was, given how un-intuitive digital manuals are to navigate
@@videogamesarecool9280 this one probably is actually better as a digital one, since it can hyperlink between different parts of it. In a physical manual this would be extremely annoying.
If I’m remembering correctly, there’s still a decent amount the manual doesn’t cover, primarily overdrive which is arguably the number 1 reason you would want to look at the manual
One that was mentioned Very recently was X was going for a more singer player experience mode with dedicated characters. However Nintendo wanted them to implicate online during the middle of development and changes were made to have generics characters.
Honestly, I'm one of those people who like it when story takes a backseat to gameplay and exploration, and I think honestly my favorite thing about XCX, certainly so outside of all the stuff you mentioned, is the sheer *magnitude* of character customization available for your player character. You got your class tree, you got your skills and arts, you got *customizable Soul Voices,* you can even start mixing and matching weapons once you start mastering branches on the aforementioned class tree, honestly you can make whatever build you can imagine; it's great!
I totally agree, I've never had any problem whatsoever with any of the music in this game. All of it makes me feel things in a way that's different from the other games
This is my absolute favorite game I've ever played, especially on the Wii U. This is the only game I've actively put off completing because I wanted to keep playing, so I just made a new account on my Wii and just restarted the game and made a new characters. When I finished I was actually kind of sad, the final boss was actually really epic and the final reveal was, uh, interesting to say the least without spoilers. But if y'all know how it ended, then yk we NEED a XCX2
Honestly i hope they wait for the next gen nintendo console, considering how X3 looks (worse then XcX imo on the Wii U imo) which isn't that great really.
My Wii U is still plugged thanks to this game. I have 1400 hours played since it launched. Great game, and easily the best Wii U game if we are not including Breath of the Wild.
The ending to the story of Xenoblade Chronicles X made me really hyped for the sequel that never came. I hope they get around to it eventually. This game was ambitious and had so much potential just based on what we got.
A really cool feature is that you can actually play as other characters (like Elma) and that there isn't any fall damage so can literally jump of the volcano of Cauldros or even Oblivia's flying islands !
Ah yes, overdrive. It took me a real while to understand how it works, but once i've understood how it works, i figured it's the most broken mechanic of the game, as it was designed to. Basicly all you need is having some equipment boosting the overdrive duration and also an art setup for recovering TP fast, once this is done, you can overdrive indefinetly and become an invincible war machine. Unfortunatly overdrive can be properly used only on late/post game with is a bit lame considering how early you get it.
Actual, not entirely true. If you have a decent build, you can do Infinite overdrive out the gate at level 20 though you'd either have to use a ghost walker build or a topple build. That's basically how I once speed run the game. You can otherwise start to do Infinite overdrive without a niche build by chapter 9 or 10.
It actually can be used properly the moment you get it, if you just do the FML Class route first, and have skills like Hellhound or Augments like Extend Overdrive, Overdrive Count Up and Max TP Up. You can easily keep staying in Overdrive with Ghostwalker, Primer, Upper Hand, Side Slash and some Multi-hitting Dual Gun Arts like Sliding Slinger or Executioner (Zero Zero not availible yet at that point) so you could already have a decent Dual Swords/Dual Guns build, and eventually Switch to Longsword/Dual Guns when you get to the Striker class. You could technically have infinite Overdrive with the Galactic Knight class because of Astral Purge, Astral Heal (Or maybe Horizon) and Astral Protection, but it's much harder to do since you don't have access to Hellhound and Phantom Counter yet.
XCX is so much fun to just sit down and play, even if it took some work figuring shit out like overdrive. One thing I really liked was if you mastered a class line, you got to keep the weapons and arts, and take them into other classes, so you could mix and match, and alongside the skill system, create your own personalised builds and setups with whatever weapons and abilities you damn well pleased. Similarly, skell arts and gear is up to you, so you can express yourself through your sick mech to fight however the hell you wanted. Also the appendage system is pretty great. Nice trade in for visions. Sure you won't see a move coming as easily, but if you use your eyes and pay attention, you can see what appendage comes from it, and shut that down, or exploit it once broken to damage a weak spot with a certain damage type, like with a cutscene about ciniculas "break that horn and then fry it with a beam" which gave the game a sense of proactive strategy that also encourages the player to move around alot during fights with bigger enemies. (Sure would be bad if there was a Xenoblade game where you couldn't move and attack at the same time, and your movement speed and mobility was slow and poor as shit.)
I can 100% understand Tatsu hate, but I love my man L. He makes me chuckle. Also when it comes to overdrive, the in-game manual is AMAZING. Nobody goes through it, yet it is so helpful, 13 year old me back in 2015 was able to read it and master infinite overdrive by level 36. Online is super fun and is basically required to make the late game grinding not absurdly tedious. I feel like this game's downfall was through the advertisement being too focused on some epic story and the lineage of the Xeno name being games with amazing main journeys. People had lots of expectations, other similar games like BOTW focused more on the world during advertising, so people brushed off the main story being weak because they knew what to focus on. When it comes to people who dislike X, the most common situation I see is people playing through the required content to see the credits and then saying, "now what?" despite missing 80% of the game. I also see a lot of people being angry they have to complete the sidequests to progress the game, as they assume the content present is filler/not interesting. (These people also hate Torna) Kid me wanted to do every side quest possible before progressing the main story, for some reason, so I ended up getting a really good experience my first go-around. Stuff like the water filtration sidequests, pizza guy murder mystery, god of the Zaruboggan, crazy religious lady killing for god, etc were what made me fall in love with the game. Everything fits together as well, quest details relate to main story mysteries, NPC's all know & talk about each other, collectable descriptions relate to enemies you find in the wild and the plants you see. There is always something to learn and every time I pick up the game again, I have a good time. Another huge thing about Xenoblade X is that there are practically no major glitches/issues which you can experience in-game. I honestly have never seen a game of this scale have nothing majorly wrong with it, never a crash, wall clipping issue, camera spaz attack or major exploit has been found by me while playing. Yeah, is nice. Buy it on Wii U if possible, if not, buy a port if it ever gets a re-release. This is my personal favorite game of all time.
XCX is one of my absolute favorite games of all time! So happy to see you talking about it, not many people do these days. I'd love to see you talk about it more in the future if you're interested :) Also super excited for your XC2 review, keep up the good work!
I played Xenoblade X after finishing every xeno game short of saga 3, and gosh diddly darnit I really wish I had thought to get and play it at launch because the game is fantastic and I wish I could have played it at its peak when there was more engagement with the online. Its still live now but I don't know how much longer and there are a small handful of items that you HAVE to use the online features to get that are involved in crafting some things and it is a shame that one day new players won't have access to those.
I guess some things I love about Xenoblade X not brought up in the video: I fucking love Elma. I feel like she's a bit in the same situation as Mythra where there's a lot of cool ideas that didn't really get explored because the game's story wasn't great. But Elma has an actual character design, so she wins. I really like characters where half their dialogue is like "is this foreshadowing something?" but you don't notice that your first playthrough (think Alvis from Xenoblade 1 where, though he's definitely more on a "what's your deal" type of thing). I like how practically and statistically minded she is and I also like that she's a fucking badass but still has some nice moments with Lin. I also really like her character design. It leans a bit more scifi and anime than a lot of the human character designs, which works really well here, and it sort of foreshadows a specific plot point involving her. Amazing. Underrated character. I really liked the prologue. The intro cutscene and the scenery porn shot did a really good job at setting up the game's tone and they're fun to rewatch. I really liked Chapter 11. The stuff with Lao was easily the highlight of the story for me. I loved how much the enemies felt like they belonged in the scenery. Some of the larger and more dangerous enemies felt more like set pieces than things you were supposed to actually fight. I also want to give a shout out to how beautiful a lot of them looked. The big deer, the telethia, the big worms, the sphinxes, the big dinos, a bunch of others. Gorgeous. Magnificent. I know Xenoblades 1 and 2 both do this 2, but I think Xenoblade X pulls off the level murder enemies thing the best out of the xeno games. You're going to have to be returning to continents anyways, so exploring new regions of old areas keeps the aesthetics fresh. The levelling system also makes Mira gradually feel less hostile as slowly less and less of the population wants to eat you. The roaming unique monsters was a thing in other games (especially Territorial Rotbart), but I found the instances where it happened in Xenoblade X to be a bit more iconic. I still remember going in Noctilum and being like "ooh what's that cool mech?" moments before a tragedy, getting ambushed by that giant fucker in Oblivia and realizing those plains are safer to travel to at night, fighting a group of Prone on a ledge over that abyss in Oblivia while the level murder superboss happened to be flying around and getting super nervous that I'd accidentally aggro it during the fight but then I didn't, being nervous about getting too close to the giant plant in Divine Roost because I was worried it would secretly be an enemy because shit like the Zu Pharg exists so it's not impossible, etc. And a lot of these memories are at least 5 years old by now. There really is no way to properly articulate how big and detailed Mira is. Like, I remember finding a new location, landmark, and hidden location around 300 hours into my original save file. And I'm fairly certain I still haven't seen all Mira has to offer since I ended up neglecting Noctilum and Cauldros a lot on my first playthrough. I like how I decided to be a smart-ass in the character creator and then Chapter 5 immediately shut me up. gg.
Awesome seeing you do a video on my favorite Wii U game that does not involve gorillas fighting Vikings. I almost had to challenge you to a duel when you showed the OP for that vore show as an example of Hiroyuki Sawano's work on anime OSTs. Fortunately, I unpaused and listened to the next 3 seconds. Almost sounded like a fool there. I love the whole X soundtrack (nobody does mecha music like Sawano) and count New LA Day as among my favorites. Have you tried screaming "One, two, three, four" with the song?
If you loved it and haven't given the other 2 xenoblade games ago I'd suggest you try them. They blow X's story out of the park. And don't get me wrong I love X I'm playing it for my 4th time rn lol
@@shatteredsentient5321 the characters look fine imo and blade gacha ain't that bad. I mean my man saying he enjoyed the story so he'd definitely enjoy xenoblade 1 and 2s
One thing that I loved about this game was that, as you showed briefly but didn't mention, you can choose the voice of the main character from a wide list of top talent video game and anime voice actors/actresses. And if you want to play around and find out what they all sound like, you don't have to do multiple playthroughs: After doing a sidequest in like chapter 3 or so, you can actually re-customize your character's appearance, voice, and even GENDER to try out all of them. And incredibly, there's ACTUALLY a story reason that you can do this-- it's not a fourth wall break! Sadly, the other characters don't comment on it if you do it, which would have made it perfect Even better, each voice actor has some exclusive call-outs that give exclusive bonus effects, so there's some gameplay point to it.
The Ares 90 mech! Slap some syiphon thingys on it and you can infinitely refuel for free and then of course pretty much kill anything because you're always at full fuel capacity.
The thing I love most about the side quests is that, unlike in the main campaign, 'you're' the main character, not Elma. Not that I dislike Elma or anything, but your character really plays a backseat during the story outside of one moment towards the end. In the side quests however, (missions and affinity) you learn a ton of stuff about NLA, other aliens and their cultures, and even discover some potential mysteries and conspiracies, and you even learn something really interesting about your player character that is never brought up in the story. On top of learning stuff, you also build NLA up, getting access to new equipment, more quests, new facilities in and out of the city, and dramatically increase the population of NLA over the course of the game. It's REALLY cool and I loved playing it a lot. I just wish it wasn't trapped on the Wii U.
Moana's "You're welcome" followed up with "It doesn't matter". 😂 (Thanks for showing Xeno X some love, it needs it and i die a little everyday that it hasn't been ported).
I think the only reason this game got any criticism was because people EXPECTED a story-driven game like XC1. Because you’re right: no one batted an eye when BotW our story in the back seat. Why? Because the story in Zelda is always secondary. No one expected otherwise. XCX is kinda in a sad state. The game was easily the best WII U game there was, with possibly one of the best open world design to this day. And yet it never gets the credit it deserves. And we’ll never get a port, it seems.
Ah Petra I see what you did there For real, Xenoblade X is sooooo good. An amazing game, locked into the wii u for gods knows how many years. Sadly, I know that even if it get ported to switch one day, a lot of players won't play the games because it's not "anime-style" like Xenoblade 2.
I honestly fear that if we ever *did* get an X remake on a console that would do it justice, that they *would* try to up the "anime style" factor like they did with XCDE.
@@Iriamu5 I haven't started playing it yet, but I'm still worried I'll dislike it. I've heard the music and world design is amazing, but I hate the main character and the general character designs.
So as someone who still plays xenoblade X actively, the miiverse shutting changed precisely 2 things in the game, 1. There used to be a function where you could send a short message to everyone in your squad whenever you didsomeyhing noteworthy, this used miiverse so its no longer happening. 2. Im not even 100% sure about this one but you used to sometimes get these "super bosses" you had to go kill online with your squad mates, and if you killed him enough times youd get a bunch of stuff, there used to be like 5 or 7 different bosses that could appear, but after miiverse shut down ive only ever seen one of them, this is good however because thats the best one for farming purpouses, (edit : to clarify the boss still appears as normal its just the same one everytime ) but yeah all in all the online features still work just fine.
I can’t say anything here that hasn’t already been said, but Xenoblade Chronicles X is and always will be my favorite game of all time. It’ll take... I don’t even know what to top it. Yes, it has its flaws, but this was the first game that ever completely sucked me into its world. The first game I felt like I myself was a part of. The music is unforgettable, the world vast and varied, and that first feeling of stepping out into the epic plains of Primordia, or stumbling upon the sleepily winter of Sylvalium, or even just sprinting and moon jumping through NLA, no game has ever captured the same feeling as Xenoblade X. I can’t even fully describe how or why I love th is game as much as I do, I simply just do. The story, the characters, the side quests, everything came together to build an unforgettable world that I still get lost in even to this day. Please please Nintendo I know you know Xenoblade still exists I watched your direct, give XCX another chance
Personally think this is still the best open world game ever made. I mean it got the coolest world ever made, it's story is about the entire human race being on the bring of extinction, you even get robots that can transform into cars and fly and the battle system is deep and insanely rewarding when you get the hang of it. The only negative I can say about it is that I wished the main story was longer but that is just because what is there is very good. And yeah I would even go so far to say it's one of if not the best looking open world game ever made simply because the art style and world looks so freaking awesome.
Loved the video and I LOVE THIS FUCKING GAME!!! The world in this game really takes the cake, holy shit when you say this game is all about the world you are DAMN FUCKING RIGHT!!The world is such a joy to sink hours into While I would love a switch port, I wonder how they could port this over? They would need to really overhaul the menu and display to work for handheld play. The text would need to be bigger and all the functions of the Wii U gamepad in the game would need to be worked in for 1 screen.
Understanding how overdrive works is how you get good in the game. If you really want to dive in the combat you should learn how it works. Its kind complicated but thats how you make combos. I actually thing its what makes xenoblade X the best combat system in the series. And even though I love the music in overdrive, the meta kind makes you infinite overdrive, blocking all the other combat songs.
A note on the "text being too small" complaint: if you were in a household where your only TV was a 480i tube TV... it really was. Thankfully, you can swap the screens and have it on the Gamepad which makes it slightly more visible. If you have a 1080p TV, it looks much better, but a lot of players agreed that it's small, which leads me to believe that the dev team mostly played this on monitors rather than larger TVs
i liked xenoblade x in general, but i had trouble sneaking past the genocide aliens because they had an over leveled robot thing if i remember correctly, i had to use Alma's shadow eye or whatever but in a convoluted way because i think i had to do a specific attack first in combat (I wish xenoblade would tone down the high level enemies in lower leveled zones thing...its just annoying most of the time), and the desert area pissed me off cause there were desert sandstorms that just murder you, the healing wasnt very reliable, and once i escaped the desert there were these OP bomber birbs that bombed the f*** out of me. i had to set a fast travel point, check if there was a sandstorm, and if there was, do something else and come back later. i never got the mechs yet. ill probably try to get my hands on the game again, hopefully therell be a switch definitive edition. but xenoblade jank makes me not want to buy xenoblade games at full price because they can be annoying...
It my first Xenoblade game i played but I haven't beat it. But after playing Xenoblade Chronicles definitive edition on switch I feel more comfortable going back to Xenoblade Chronicles X
How did that earth-looking city with cars and shit end up on an alien world like that? Tempted to play the game just to find out. Looks like a very cool, epic game.
My only real complaints are the lack of collision detection, not being able to drop affinity quests, and them conflicting with main story quests. Those are honestly minor gripes in the face of perhaps the most diverse and exciting alien world to explore in all of video games. Big love for XCX!
Just the amount you could customize your character and being able to mix and match weapons and the arts attached to them were exciting and all of them were useful and fun to play with was just amazing
As someone who has 100% Xenoblade X, I can say that it is an underrated masterpiece. I will agree that the story isn't on par with one, but matching a story on that level is incredibly hard to do, and I can see that they tried. The music is so good, and while it does take some getting used to, it is in my opinion on of the best game soundtracks I've ever heard. If you haven't played the game, look up the song Growth F.S.K.O to get a taste of what I mean. The world is amazing; It's absolutely gorgeous and has so many small little features that you'll still be finding them well after you've beaten the game. still open up this game just to run around the world every now and again. I really can't say enough good about this game. I'll say that overall this game is great, but it's an acquired taste. Oh, and if anyone else is as crazy as me and wants to 100% this, check out frontiernav.jahed.dev/explore/xenoblade-chronicles-x jahed made an amazing set of tools to help with all kinds of things in the game. Oh, and thanks, Captain, for mentioning that the soundtrack sounds like Kill la Kill, I have ALWAYS thought that.
i actually never played XCX but like every other game of the series cause a lot of people sayed its bad but god damn i regret this after hearing this amazing soundtrack and seeing the world
10:42 There might not be any miiverse, but the online features are still around. People, myself included, still utilize the online features and there's actually a lot of different folks who are still on the servers.
I should he sleeping, but my attempt to nuzlocke Pokemon White 2 isn't helping Thanks for keeping uploading videos. It's entertaining and might help me to finally take a break from playing
God I need them to port this game. I got it for the Wii U but I couldn’t get into it. Wasn’t that it was bad I just had to fight for the Wii U in my house cause I lived in a house of smash fans. So I blew my way through the main story and was thoroughly unimpressed. Having it on switch would allow me actually time to enjoy the game for the longer term investment that it was meant to be. I know I already loved xenoblade 1 and having it portable (with actually watchable graphics) allowed me to get more out of it in the way of side content and it’s completely renewed my love of the game. I feel like X could do the same if it was ported. Sure it’s such a big game that’s be an under taking so it’s not likely but I still hope they do it if only so I can give it another shot and people who didn’t own Wii U’s could actually experience the world.
While I still like the other Xenoblade games a bit more than X (yes even 2), I still loved it very much. And while the characters are a bit weaker compared to the others, I love the idea of the affinity missions since they pretty much felt like more involved and longer heart to hearts. Seeing these characters like Hope (best girl) , Celica, Phog and Frye develop and learning more about them overtime made me get all the more attached to them. -Also L is a good boy wdym-
When someone disses the NLA theme I feel a zipper on my face cause what's my feelings matter when hates yell XD vocal tracks just all hit it for me running to the final zone while lowest level on a new file is a rush like no other
For real. I bought Xenoblade 2 after hundreds of hours in Xenoblade X and it just... wasn’t the same. I stopped playing after like two hours playing XCX spoiled me lol I haven’t gotten into another game the same way since
So hot take: The Xenoblade X series should become Nintendo's MMO series. MMOs make tons of money, and Nintendo doesn't have one yet. It would also allow them to add the story gradually, and continue where they left off without it being weird. If that's too much it would at least be cool to be playing on one map with your friends/the group's you get put in at the start of every session anyways. Just to have some people running around the map with you.
I think a Xeno MMO would be great, but I think X should remain singleplayer focused. However, I do think that a port/remaster should introduce local/online co-op.
im still waiting for this to come to FUCKNIG SWITCH its a game i wanted to play for so long. Like we could so a remake of this adding the second game into the first like white knight 2 did

Monolith NEEDS to port X to the switch, this game needs more love and recognition since it's absolutely amazing
they are probably holding back because Xenoblade X will probably be the nextstep of the series after Xenoblade 3
I’m fine with it staying on the Wii U. The more reasons people have to play the Wii U the better, it’s a painfully under-loved console

I beeen playing Xenoblade X for 9 years, literally half my life. Favorite game of all time.
I wish we could get xenoblade X's speed again
Speed and combat and exploration and side quests... Just give us Xenoblade Chronicles X2. The mainline series just doesn't have any of this.
Best part about this game is how it doesn't take itself seriously at all. Like the whole back to the future sidequest is amazing
My favorite game on the Wii U.
The "Personapedia" is just called The Affinity Chart, I like Personapedia better tho.
Everything is my favorite part of the game. Seriously, this is the greatest game ever made.
I guess some things I love about Xenoblade X not brought up in the video:
I fucking love Elma.
I like how I decided to be a smart-ass in the character creator and then Chapter 5 immediately shut me up. gg.
I’m not sure if it was mentioned yet or not, but I gotta say that I love how you made your main character into Petra from Three Houses.
They should have made the blade barracks theme play in all of nla that shits actually fire
Xenoblade X was the first game that I did all the side quests in cause I found them not only entertaining, but world building. Also, Phog is best boi
Yeah I loved his and Frye's missions together, really interesting learning about their history
Phog shall always have a place as the fourth member in story missions.
I loved XCX on the WiiU. I especially enjoyed them story. So many crazy plot twists!
If you loved it and haven't given the other 2 xenoblade games ago I'd suggest you try them. They blow X's story out of the park. And don't get me wrong I love X I'm playing it for my 4th time rn lol
@@NepheneeGyattRizz I didn't like 2 cause the blade gacha thing and the characters look weird.
@@shatteredsentient5321 the characters look fine imo and blade gacha ain't that bad. I mean my man saying he enjoyed the story so he'd definitely enjoy xenoblade 1 and 2s
The most underrated game ever
Its music is one of my favorite . Like you really get pumped up for combat
These are fantastic videos, entertaining and informative! Keep up the epic work :D
I agree! Excited to see the next one :)
Original Xenoblade: Splat Bombs
Xenoblade X: Suction bombs
Xenoblade 2: Ink mine
One thing that I loved about this game was that, as you showed briefly but didn't mention, you can choose the voice of the main character from a wide list of top talent video game and anime voice actors/actresses. And if you want to play around and find out what they all sound like, you don't have to do multiple playthroughs: After doing a sidequest in like chapter 3 or so, you can actually re-customize your character's appearance, voice, and even GENDER to try out all of them. And incredibly, there's ACTUALLY a story reason that you can do this-- it's not a fourth wall break! Sadly, the other characters don't comment on it if you do it, which would have made it perfect Even better, each voice actor has some exclusive call-outs that give exclusive bonus effects, so there's some gameplay point to it.
im excited to watch this one, ive never played or even seen gameplay from xenoblade x
Just might be the joint best XCX vid I’ve seen and that’s high praise
I only found out about the party members speech ability things in the last mission when I was struggling on like the 3rd phase of the final boss
Loved this game tho introduced me to the series
The Ares 90 mech! Slap some syiphon thingys on it and you can infinitely refuel for free and then of course pretty much kill anything because you're always at full fuel capacity.
I love uncontrollable it is still my favourite OST for xenoblade chronicles
thank you for putting respect on X's name, it's the reason to own a Wii U and one of my favorite JRPGs ever. Great points, great script, great video!
Love this game, hope it gets a remaster or a sequel.
Hope they remaster this game like they did with Xenoblade chronicles 1
Xenoblades biggest flaw was its massive grind.
It takes way to long to level up even after getting a skell.
Still an amazing game though
You know it's gonna be good when the first thing you see is Captain.
Edit: Already watched but I'll watch again (#aRaidMin!)
I’ve played the game on the Wii U I love it with all my heart 😍❤️😍
Dude this review was hilarious. Good shit
They should port it. My first Xenoblade game was 2 and I was underwhelmed. I really want to check this game out based on your description.
Thank you for this video. I love this game.
Yeah once I played a mission which seemed so simple yet once I entered the area and my entire team got one shotted. Rage quit after that
Moana's "You're welcome" followed up with "It doesn't matter". 😂 (Thanks for showing Xeno X some love, it needs it and i die a little everyday that it hasn't been ported).
The guy that did the music for this game did music did Kill La Kill, Attack on Titan, and The Seven Deadly Sins
Ah
Petra
I see what you did there
For real, Xenoblade X is sooooo good.
The anime style actually held me off from buying XC2 for a long time.
@@TazTheYellow I'd want to see it go in the direction Final Fantasy went, with a _slightly_ anime style, but going mostly for realism.
@@TheAbsol7448 I personaly bought XC2 after finishing XCDE
I regret doing that, the game is cringe, unfun and uninteresting.
@@Iriamu5 I haven't started playing it yet, but I'm still worried I'll dislike it. I've heard the music and world design is amazing, but I hate the main character and the general character designs.
So as someone who still plays xenoblade X actively, the miiverse shutting changed precisely 2 things in the game,
1. There used to be a function where you could send a short message to everyone in your squad whenever you didsomeyhing noteworthy, this used miiverse so its no longer happening.
2. Im not even 100% sure about this one but you used to sometimes get these "super bosses" you had to go kill online with your squad mates, and if you killed him enough times youd get a bunch of stuff, there used to be like 5 or 7 different bosses that could appear, but after miiverse shut down ive only ever seen one of them, this is good however because thats the best one for farming purpouses, (edit : to clarify the boss still appears as normal its just the same one everytime )
but yeah all in all the online features still work just fine.
Love the content keep it up dude
I will never play this game so as long as it's locked to the Wii U. I have the system, but there is no way I can tackle a game this big only at home
The graphics look so cool on this game
I can't help but notice the similarity between the opening of XCX and Stella blade....
It's in pretty much a big egg
My only real complaints are the lack of collision detection, not being able to drop affinity quests, and them conflicting with main story quests. Those are honestly minor gripes in the face of perhaps the most diverse and exciting alien world to explore in all of video games. Big love for XCX!
Probably the best open world RPG. Skells were awesome.
7:41 Tatsu is pure comic relief
Finally, some good fucking Plinkett impression on a game review channel.
The great plot here was also Astral Chain, a game that is really freaking good and deservers so much respects.
Xenoblade x is the reason I have a Wii U, but not a Switch
Honestly love the vid, but what in the world is the music in 2:01 when you said "desert"?
(Almost spelt "dessert" there @-@)
i actually never played XCX but like every other game of the series cause a lot of people sayed its bad but god damn i regret this after hearing this amazing soundtrack and seeing the world
10:42 There might not be any miiverse, but the online features are still around. People, myself included, still utilize the online features and there's actually a lot of different folks who are still on the servers.
So happy ur making the content outside of slpatoon. (Undercover isn't that bad )
Basically Overdrive is for skill loops such as ghost walker, zero zero, rising blade, blossom dance repeat. Bonafide good dps for super boss murder.
Also you can keep it up pretty much infinitely with duration buffs/loops that keep it up for as long as you spam skills.
I should he sleeping, but my attempt to nuzlocke Pokemon White 2 isn't helping
Thanks for keeping uploading videos.
-Also L is a good boy wdym-
You’re right. Hope is definitely best girl, she had some of the best affinity missions
When someone disses the NLA theme I feel a zipper on my face cause what's my feelings matter when hates yell XD vocal tracks just all hit it for me
running to the final zone while lowest level on a new file is a rush like no other
I’m pretty sad that I didn’t have a Wii U I fucking love all the gameplay, the shells mechanics and the phasing of gameplay
Looks sick
5:54 those are like my favourite themes from the game... :::D
J bodys know how good the story can be
This game looks like it'd be one of my all-time favourites. Still hoping for a switch port though.
your character runs faster than rex
that automatically makes it better than xb2 to me
Hottake: Xenoblade 2 was a step back for the series and they should make a sequel to X instead of Xenoblade 3.
Nah you aren’t wrong. The ui of xbc 2 is really bad.
There will most likely be an xcx2 before xc3, and btw thats not a hot take thats a fact
Here's hoping they return to Xenoblade x cuz 2 is soooooooo boring.
For real. I bought Xenoblade 2 after hundreds of hours in Xenoblade X and it just... wasn’t the same. I stopped playing after like two hours playing XCX spoiled me lol I haven’t gotten into another game the same way since
@@omensoffate XBC2 doesn’t have mechs. Therefor it is inferior in every way.
Never played any Xenoblade but from the gameplay I see like X the most. Also captain :3
So hot take:
The Xenoblade X series should become Nintendo's MMO series.
Finally a video on the best xenoblade game
8:36 don't need chain attack when you have overdrive. Solo battles ftw!
im still waiting for this to come to FUCKNIG SWITCH its a game i wanted to play for so long. Like we could so a remake of this adding the second game into the first like white knight 2 did
The only parts of the online that is down due to Miiverse is the messages, all the other online features and missions still work.
