Thanks for sharing your interesting accommodation history. You have certainly earned your retirement. Hopefully Tracy and David also can retire and have a bit of leisure similar to what you were enjoying until that fateful day. Life can be so frustrating at times. All the best wishes..
Lovely that you sold the place to Tracey rather than selling for a big profit as well as how kind of Tracey to want you to stay whenever you wish. A good hearted family that cares for each other. Isn’t that the way it should be? But I’m afraid it is pretty rare today. I love hearing your stories and look forward to each day. Take care. 😁
Tracey and David were looking for a house at that time, (2001) and the lady who rented it retired and gave the shop up, so we thought, we lived in it 11 years and rented for 15, so why not let Tracey have it if she wanted it. Thank you for watching our vlogs, we appreciate it.
I know I've heard it before, but it's still such an interesting story, and I think you went into more detail about it this time. Can't believe you sold them to Tracey for what you paid for them years before. You really are a caring couple and a lovely family.
This property was due for demolition when we bought it, so it was very risky, but as you say hard work and The Ministry Of Historic Buildings who listed it after my request, saved the whole row, which is now all privately owned and a desirable place to live.
Well it wasn't our full story Karen, but just a bit of background information. Thank you for watching us every day. I don't know if you know that i have written a book called "Swifter Than A Weavers Shuttle", which begins from when I was about 9 years old. If you are interested let me know and I will send you the link to the book store.
You are a lovely couple and the best thing is you both smile and laugh together never get tired of youre little real life stories better than the T V bless
Thank you for the catch up not a boring life you both have led, you have a beautiful home, David sounds like my son (he's a carpenter) takes pride in a job well done. It's nice living with family as long as you have your own little space. Have a lovely meal.
You both had an interesting life, glad the houses stayed in the family too, if i could afford my parents house i would buy it, it's just gone on sale a week ago and we already have an offer, thats why going caravan next week. to do some gardening before winter
Do you have a little garden at your caravan Jackie? I think it was 2001 when Tracey bought these. She bought them one at a time with a year in between to avoid capital gains tax.
A great catch up. This is why being a close family will work together and Tracy and her family are getting special time that build great memories for your granddaughter. Take care.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun I have no doubt that she will. I use to spent weeks with grandparents in the summer and to this day they are so very special to me.
At least a place to live was somewhat affordable back in those days. Young people nowadays haven't a hope of getting a home unless they are earning a huge wage the world is gone mad! Pure greed with people!
It happened in the 90s when the banks offered mortgages to people who couldn't afford them. The prices of houses went through the roof. We benefited from that, but we didn't create it. Now it's crazy to even think of buying a house, and interest rates are nothing like they were in the 90s. I think I was paying 15% at one time.
I am confused Trevor, does David live in the house next door on his own then or do you all live over the two properties together. Another interesting vid. You have had an interesting life 😅😂x
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun ahhh I understand now, I thought the two houses were knocked through as one whole house. Sorry to be nosey. Looking forward to tomorrow’s story. Hope you enjoy your day out and your meal x
Thankyou for that update. I have only just discovered your channel so was very intrigued about the pair of you and where you lived etc…love listening to your chats..thankyou

Fond memories are a treasure. Both my grandparents died when I was very young, so I have no memory of them.
