Pipe now sounds cool. Love the rotating mirrors. Lol. That’s how we all learn. He who has never made a mistake has never done anything. Keep up the great work.
I’ve got the same bar end mirrors for my bike and they are good enough to get the job done. They do come loose from time to time but can easily be tightened back up with an Allen key. Also if you accidentally drop your bike it doesn’t matter hugely if the morrow breaks as they are cheap and usually in good stock. Great video
That sounds pretty good, it gets rid of that feed back buzz. You have managed to piss me right off. I've just had to drill out 7 of 8 exhaust bolts on my GXS750F, and grind out 2 of the 4 pipes, shims and gaskets, that all felt like they had been welded in. It makes me wish I was doing a build like yours. Keep up the good work, your a joy to watch.
if your having running issues most likely due to the pod filter and type of jets in the carbs. have you adjusted your pilot jet? ive never seen exhaust help the running of the engine
Enjoying following along! Just picked up a 78 CB125S myself here in the states. But she's too pretty to chop up so I have to live vicariously through you!
just picked up a cb125s and want to throw an aftermarket on at some point. where did you get the header pipe? i need one that will fit under the peg like yours
can someone explain how does it work with cutting the pipe like he did? i have a yamaha xt660 and i'd like to shorten the pipes to bring the mufflers down a bit but i'm afraid it will mess with the back pressure and such, since the pipe will have a smaller overall volume great work btw!!!
Hey Jish! Did this fix your issues with running improperly? I cut my mufflers off and I cant get it to run right. Was thinking about buying the shorty versions of these to create that backpressure and adjust the carb as needed. Or do you think i should just re-jett the carbs?
Jismy :D started mine recently I'm 17 and the cg is the best because the engine is pretty much indestructible apart from the push rods (1970s - 1998 models)because the oil can't get to them and if you thrash them the rod will hit the piston if they seize and you will have a massive amount of work but that is rare. Also because the frame is so straight it's perfect for a cafe racer a good cafe racer in my eyes is when the tank, light, bars are all in line and it's all straight without the seat looking lower than everything or higher than everything I can't stand them sometimes 😂 i built the tank template weeks back and got round to welding recently and then I'm cutting the rear of the frame once the tank is on Because you don't want to cut before the tanks on because you may change your mind after seeing it with the tank and handle bars. Anyway good luck with your project as long as you like it then that's all that matters really
Hi mate. Just found your channel. Absolutely love it. I am building a cb250 cafe racer. I see you just have a speedo not a tocos that show RPM. what did you did to the engine where the RPM cable is meant to go? Thanks heaps. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Nice Build. I Just moved to the UK, and with time I would like to make my own cafe racer. If i change the basic front fork to newer ones like yours, can I get an MOT on it?
Can you explain to me what the backpressure does exactly? I mean, why it has effect on the combustion? doesnt the exhaust valve open after the combustion? And isnt this just done by the pistons? I've heard a lot about the backpressure having to be just right but I realise I don't understand the "science" behind it.
Maybe it's an idea to ask the viewers this in a next video? I'd love to know! I have the same problem with my Xl250 from '77, they pulled out the damper, but i've got a new one ready to slap on. Expecting it to run a bit better after that as well.
@@joepphoto basically allows the cylinder to go up waaay faster in the exhaust stroke, no pressure= sshit goes up fast as fuck, and therefore, the intake stroke will be performed at a higher speed too, a speed that the carb jet isn't designed to provide, so it ends up running with faulting fuel, so a lot of air is wasted and shit, it's running lean, people say. In simple words it bypasses the speed of the stroke a lot, making less pressure for the cylinder wich makes it go faster and fuck your carb up. Edit cause im almost asleep: It is an hipotesis of mine, wich is pretty logic actually, but who knows, it can be wrong, but well, i dont think so Sorry for my bad english and, I hope i helped you a bit lol
Great job again brother, I've been looking into all kinds of exhausts as of late, that sounds way better and I hope it helps with the tuning for you :)
Sounding much better, there's a load of crashed and battered 125's in my area with straight through exhausts... May be loud but they sound terrible and the looks you get from people are more... "You obnoxious little twat" rather than "that's a cool looking bike" yours is the latter. Keep it up!
You might very well benefit from making it so the heat wrap starts about 1" (25ish MM) down from the exhaust flange. It makes it so the vehicle can not scavenge as effectively
She's purring now! running really well! iv just some electric problems that i need to sort before i can really ride her as iv blown quiet a few bulbs :/
Mirror should be on the left. Sit on the bike you can look right with your hand on the throttle but try looking back left and you will appreciate a left side mirror.
My arsehole got tight when you touched that exhaust wrap. I wrapped mine a few days ago and got a shit ton of fibreglass splinters through gloves and my jeans. Had to have a heavy soak in the bath and I'm still trying to get it out my jeans. That shit is the devil.
Have quads of a similar pipe. Glass pack right? If it is a glass pack, they are a pain to repack those ones! Another thing about not having just a straight slashcut open header like that? Not going to be burning your valves. I dont run a channel, but I put my bike up when I got it running and syncs into my vid if you want to hear those pipes in quad. ua-cam.com/video/RXPkZkQnqP0/v-deo.html
May be intentional but the chopping about and missing bits of sentences was driving me nuts lol. Love the music and cinematic though. Where do you get your copyright free music from?

Keep up the great work.
Thanks Steve! its how i learn best! The bikes now running sweet! just some electrical issues now holding me back :(
Sounds way better with the muff innit. Looks pretty cool too. 👍
Love the muff

Nice build! Can you please tell me the name of those tires? I'm trying to get a similar look on my bike. Thank you!

So what was the dB levels on the new exhaust as you never showed it. We only saw the old pipe dB levels..
Sounds a lot better now! Idling seems much more consistent
Yep its getting there!

What Model is the Tank? Awesome moto

Can you tell me if it has silencer? Cause i don't see any screw for fixing it.
I'm gonna be 17 and thinking of making a cafe racer from a Suzuki gn125 or a Yamaha sr125 or a cg125. Which one would you recommend
I honestly could not tell you Jismy! Whatever is available to you thats ideal for your needs really!
Suzuki gn125 are still quite cheap and make a nice cafe racer
Dave Simpson i am gone make a suzuki gn 125 ,i made some mock up of the build in photoshop
The addition of the eday exhaust looked pretty good 👍
Thanks man! its made the bike run spot on now!
Can we use this silencer in Royal Enfield classic 350 Pless suggest
Is there a way to increase the power on my 125cc cafe racer? Thanks, Rik
Hi mate. Just found your channel. Absolutely love it. I am building a cb250 cafe racer. I see you just have a speedo not a tocos that show RPM. what did you did to the engine where the RPM cable is meant to go? Thanks heaps. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Just put a cap over it buddy! Didnt feel i needed it on the 125 😆
Was that a Honda TMX?
Hi, do you know if this exhaust is legal in the uk??
I had the same exhaust and mirrors on my bike. The exhaust was still too loud, so I had to change it. But still have the mirrors.
Its ideal for me and a lot quieter than before so I'm happy haha
Looks great and sounds great. Gives it a beefier look.
And its actually made the bike run really well too! Bonus!
Nice one dude, Can you please let me know the name or model or any specific details of this Exhaust? I search a lot on ebay but i couldn't find it.
Looks and sounds great! Can't wait to see it with the carb set up. 🤘
Cheers dude! should pur like a kitten!
Nice Build. I Just moved to the UK, and with time I would like to make my own cafe racer.
If i change the basic front fork to newer ones like yours, can I get an MOT on it?
Best asking an expert buddy! Mines a little different given the age. if its safe then i can't see why not!
Thanks mate!
Where do you mount the front L plate on the bike?
Iv no idea on mine 😅
That looks awesome👍👍
sounds so much better tone wise, and crisper and more responsive too
It runs near perfect now too ✌
awesome, glad to hear that
Reduce to how much Db?
Nice on mate . look forward to your new build
The new build won't be for a while, i still need to save and enjoy this one first ;)
Can you explain to me what the backpressure does exactly? I mean, why it has effect on the combustion? doesnt the exhaust valve open after the combustion? And isnt this just done by the pistons? I've heard a lot about the backpressure having to be just right but I realise I don't understand the "science" behind it.
I wish i could tell you but i think i am at the same level as you! I don't understand it, but it made a difference
Maybe it's an idea to ask the viewers this in a next video? I'd love to know! I have the same problem with my Xl250 from '77, they pulled out the damper, but i've got a new one ready to slap on. Expecting it to run a bit better after that as well.

Sorry for my bad english and,
I hope i helped you a bit lol
It's nice man but I also made bike at home how to cut cafe ceat ?? & Jumper
nice wee bike and sound's better with the muffler, and i think it looks better to!!
sounds better, looks better and now runs better!
Great job again brother, I've been looking into all kinds of exhausts as of late, that sounds way better and I hope it helps with the tuning for you :)
For a cheap mod its a thumbs up in my books! It already sounds smoother!
I hear you loud and clear :) I cant wait to see what you do next to her or let us know whats next :)
New exhaust looks and sounds way better imo 👍👍👍
It does! The bike runs so much better now too!
Even better!
Hi how to purcase exhaust
that logo seems like familiar , are you connected with For The Bold?
We are friends yes 😊
Jish subscribed
This video is exactly what I needed. Keep them coming! 👍🏼
Thanks Josh!
Yeeeeah, good job done there as always!
Much love dude!
Jish and what about the running issue? Is it better now?
Seems to be a bit smoother! I didnt get time to run the bike as i literally filmed and edited the whole video last night after work
Gotta be patient then, eventually she will be running totally nice and smooth!!
Man i love the leatherwork on this bike
Thanks Nick!
i am sixteen and want to build a caferacer wich bike do you recomend and if a suzuki zr50 is ant good because i can only have 50cc
Doesn't matter about the size, its how you use it!.... oh wait.. thats the wrong quote.. just have fun and build stuff!
Sounding much better, there's a load of crashed and battered 125's in my area with straight through exhausts... May be loud but they sound terrible and the looks you get from people are more... "You obnoxious little twat" rather than "that's a cool looking bike" yours is the latter. Keep it up!
Cheers bro! its loads better. what a difference a £35 exhaust can make!
You might very well benefit from making it so the heat wrap starts about 1" (25ish MM) down from the exhaust flange. It makes it so the vehicle can not scavenge as effectively
Good to know!
The idea of riding with no mirrors... terrifying... My instructor would have had my life...
Love it now. Better sound and better look. It was too short and loud before
Fun stuff! This gets my vote for intro music too
Awesome just a great looking bike, bet shes peach once you get the motor purring! Ride safe man!
She's purring now! running really well! iv just some electric problems that i need to sort before i can really ride her as iv blown quiet a few bulbs :/
I think the bike looks really nice with the new exhaust canister and mirror, its really taking shape now
your hands must have been very comfortable after touching the fiber tape without gloves🤣
Looks so much better!
And it runs better! Love it man
Cheers bro!
what cc Is that bike
125cc
you can know what dimensions
Mirror should be on the left. Sit on the bike you can look right with your hand on the throttle but try looking back left and you will appreciate a left side mirror.
Sounds better with the new muffler
It sounds better
Nice. Sick sounds track
That air filter won't help free flows need up jetting needle raise and air jet adjustment
The back pressure and a slight screw adjustment has got her running perfect now!
Back pressure reduces performance !
We all have to learn , But the rotating mirror did make me laugh , sorry Jish ;-) , ride safe
It was worth keeping in 😆
On a scale 1-10, how pissed off were your neighbors before this? XD
Somewhere between " arms crossed head shake " and " You hurt my ear drums so I'm going to hurt you "
So not too bad!
Mate @4.04 mate my life 😅
Love this series Jish! New tattoo?
Good spot! Fresh the day before!
My arsehole got tight when you touched that exhaust wrap. I wrapped mine a few days ago and got a shit ton of fibreglass splinters through gloves and my jeans. Had to have a heavy soak in the bath and I'm still trying to get it out my jeans. That shit is the devil.
Usually it does the same with me but this stuff wasn't that bad! after a good hand wash i was all good!
I have a bike. But not suitable for cafe racer style 😭,, its suzuki raider 150r underbone style like moped
subbed :D

What is going on with the editing?
What do you mean buddy?
May be intentional but the chopping about and missing bits of sentences was driving me nuts lol. Love the music and cinematic though. Where do you get your copyright free music from?
Before for me 🤷🏼♂️
1,000th like🎉🎉
Dont touch the heatwrap with youre hands it will start to itch real bad
Indeed it does! It wasn't too bad after i washed my hands
Old one is better
First? :D
