- This is a modern day take on the possibles kit carried by the mountain men and various frontiersmen. It contains items that are useful in a variety of different ways. I have carried them for many years and find them to be helpful when in the outdoors.

Great ideas. One thing I do will the pill bottle is layer the pills with some cotton balls, not only to keep the pills from breaking up, but for fire starting as well. Also, meds go bad after awhile so it helps to write the date on the outside and change them out every now and then. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into these videos, especially the more recent Stanley green cup series, which I can't recommend enough. Good stuff!
Thank you so much! I really like the cotton ball suggestion!
Way point the true survival channel
Thanks so very much!
Good stuff. Reminds me to add sewing elements to my haversak/possible bag.
Thank you! Always good to be able to repair gear. But, hopefully, you won't have to!
Great content. I need to put together a bug-out bag, and you're listing the tips, tricks and tools in your video. Thanks!
You put such a positive face on survival. I think you'll surpass everyone in this field. Keep up the good work !
Thank you so much for the awesome comment. Really much appreciate it!
Great video! Thanks for making it. I like how enthusiastic you are. The ending music and graphic is a very nice touch.
Thanks!
I like your way of explaining and showing your kits. Very informative.
Thank you for watching.
I got my pak light almost 20 years ago. It never fails, still one of my favorite lights.
Yes, it's an incredible light for the value and outperforms just about anything else when it comes to battery life.
Nice kit brother. Id recommend a piece of tin foil. With that 9v batt you can create fire. Also good for signaling and cooking. Lightweight, inexpensive, multipurpose and space friendly. 👍👍
Yes. That would work too.
One of the best survival channels on UA-cam...keep up the good work!
Thank you, much appreciated!
It's possible that I may possibly have a possibles bag lying around if I can possibly find it. But the possibilities are endless as to where it could possibly be. Yes I also carry a possibilities bag. Truthfully I even have a tape measure exactly like yours in it. Except mine is yellow. It's were I put stuff when my pockets fill up and I wear cargo pants with lots of pockets. Handy things to have. Thanks for sharing brother James.
Thank you, Chief. Yours is possibly one of the best comments yet....
Possibly the most excellent comment :-)
🖒😄
Its possible that your mentioni g all the possibilities of needing a possibilities bag makes me consider the possibility of my needing a possibility bag. Although I do often carry a shoulder bag with some items in it as I walk my property. Just pondering the perplexing predicament possiblly placed post permanently pertaining to problematic positions people pending problems find themselves in
@@kylewilkinson6975 it's certainly possible.
i have still sealed up in the packet the large safety pins in my bag which can be used to clean out open wounds of grit, stones , wood or even metal or plastic fragments. i used these in the combat field of opp`s many years ago. Smaller type pins from fresh opened packets can also be used to pin up and close open and split up flesh wounds too when the need dictates. Seeing you open your little bag brought back memories mostly good ones and here is one more,`the small pins convert into nice fishing hooks too that being so shiny do not even require bait, which is handy say if one is in an open boat.'
However i am waffling on, so i will close. i thank you for your posting . Stay safe . BB from the UK
Thank you so much for your input! And thank you also for watching the video! All the best, James.
You carry a fine assortment of gear from the few videos I've watched today. Being a smaller guy with hip problems, I have to keep my pack weight 20lbs or less. Before I head out I have to ask myself what my objectives are for that day and carry accordingly. Redundancy is nice but weight intensive. Subbed.
Thank you and welcome aboard!
Also , in my bag I have a small (2oz) pepper sprayer.
Just in case you run into an aggressive animal. Of 2 or 4 lagged kind.
Excellent I’m reevaluating my EDC bags
Thanks so much for watching!
I like the blanket pen it does come in handy but you can pick them little solar lights up from practically nothing they give us some good light in your
Thanks for watching!

I would possibly add some super glue for wound care as well as repairs.
I've found old abandoned houses in the wilderness and many still have a porcelain toilet. In a pinch those squatters make an excellent soup cooker. It cooks quickly and evenly. If you've plopped a big loaf of beef in porcelain then fire it up and enjoy the rewards of brown stew!
Well, that's certainly an interesting idea!
@rachelflair4835. Bob Dylan says we all have to serve somebody. I hope you never have to serve me.
Looks like a great kit! Thanks for the ideas.
You're welcome! Thanks for the comment, my friend!
Wow James that's cool
Thank you!
Still probably enough room in that pouch for a spare ferro rod and some quick light tinder.
Absolutely! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Excellent idea and well thought out goodies, very wise idea. Excellent brother!
Thank you, my friend!
Years ago I made a blanket pin out of a brass cinch buckle .
Excellent!

Good morning James love your videos
Thank you so much!
Great ideas I allways enjoy your video's and thanks James
Thank you so much!
Nice possibles pouch!
Thank you!
Very smart kit
Thank you!
I just made something like this to put in my work bag. Driving all over Montana in a company car I cant have my car kit with me
Excellent! I almost always carry this in my pack when I go out. The exception would be when I want to go really light or have a small pack to put everything in.
well organized, great job
Thanks!
ALL really smart Items In that Possibles Pouch. I Like those giant Blanket pins.
Oh and I am Canadian I always have a sharpening PUCK ; )
Thank you! The puck is an excellent stone. I highly recommend it!
It's a great idea
Thanks!
one thing I think is a mistake to leave out is a fire source. A few matches or a lighter.
I always carry that in my pocket.
You should put that miniature tent that you have in that, wrap your bandana around it therefore it'll fit.
That would be a good idea.
Great video I’ve had the same little water filter
It’s a one use filter but moved to the sawyer mini
I just did a video on the problems with batteries in flashlights
Thanks. I have been able to use them more than once. You have to let them dry out thoroughly though which could take 2-3 days. I just put it on a shelf when I get home until it is totally dry. I will check out your video. Thanks for the heads up on it.
Some awesome items there. Very well put together. Sharpening pucks are awesome. Good video very well put together. Might I suggest a small cutting tool I there?
Thank you! This is just a supplemental kit that I carry "in case". I usually have at least three blades on me when I am in the outdoors and sometimes four. So I didn't put a cutting tool in there to cut down on weight etc.
@@WayPointSurvival that's a big problem I have. Far to many redundancies and I end up packing 3 times as much weight and dont use 2/3's of it.
Good ideas 👍
great tips! thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video.
You're welcome, thanks so much for watching!
Try the Hydroblu Sidekick Filter Pen, it's the BEST super small h2o filter and not expensive.
Thank you for watching and for the heads up about the product.
Great information thanks
Glad you liked it!
I thought sure you were going to pull a rabbit out of there lol
Lol
Good ideas.
Thank you!
Thanks for the info double tump up
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
❤
I would like to suggest a cutting tool and a way to make fire. That way you are prepared for more possibilities.
Not a bad idea! However,I always have a lighter, ferro rod and fresnel lens as well as a pocket knife in my pocket and a multi-tool on my belt so I usually have that covered.
What about adding a wrist rocket to a pack ..
Sure, you could do that. Thank you for watching!
For the most part a decent kit but I still can't understand why people carry a pill bottle. If its in a kit you don't often look at it would be easy to forget which pill is which, additionally if someone needed to medicate either themselves or you from your kit it could be counter productive and essentially perhaps hazardous for you or them. I don't know about in America but here we're always recommended to keep medication in its packaging, for me that means the little strip they come in. This way you know exactly what is what and what it is used for. Otherwise a well rounded kit.
Each pill is marked from the factory as to what it is. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin and Benadryl. No prescription medication in this, just simple over the counter stuff. So, no need to carry them in individual packaging. Thank you for watching, for the compliment and for your stated concerns.
@@WayPointSurvival oh right I didn't realise, I knew some pills had markings but my own experience was that for the most part markings were rarely useful. That's interesting, thanks for your reply.
No problem. It is a legitimate concern and a good point to raise.
a bic lighter wouldn't hurt nd maybe a multi tool
I always have those on me. But yes it's a great idea.
I'd call it an edc. I found this which is interesting

Happy Canada Day James and welcome back. Nice tan!
Thank you, my friend! Happy Canada Day to you and Kitty as well! I will check out the link.
I tried the link above and it said "link not found".
I agree somewhat with your assessment to a EDC however a EDC typically follow the 5 Cs if I'm not mistaken which this does not. But it is not called a EDC is it?
Meds put together without original separate, steril packaging? Good like taking wrong pill by mistake which is out of date... Very smart....
Not a problem at all as they are all marked and just OTC anyway.
6:50 He has been carrying it for many years and has not died yet... So get one set up guys...
Right?
@@WayPointSurvival Right !
That's Impossible.
Lol!
I think you’re confusing a Possibles Bag, with an equipment repair bag. Consider its original purpose as survival. Safety pins, blanket pin, axe sharpener... too many extraneous items not specific to survival.
Thank you for watching, and sharing your opinion!
Possibles Pouch is the actual OG name. Tis why you won't find your answer. Native People have oral history, not written.
👋 have a nice day.
Thanks for watching.
