Some good ideas as well as interesting packaging.
Thank you, brother!
Love the idea with the bottle tops making a little round box, great idea!!
Thank you for watching and I'm glad you liked it!
Just as you pull that thing out of your pocket, I said out loud “That looks like my keychain!”
😎
Thank you for letting me borrow it, lol!
Really great kit James especially as you mentioned, keep it in the glove box or somewhere you could grab and go with it. Appreciate all the outstanding videos!
Thank you so much!
I did this recently and couldn't remember were the inspiration came from. I must have fallen asleep listening to you
You closed the deal with the oven bag👍👍
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Clever! It gave me an idea to design my own survival necklace.
Excellent, thanks for watching!
Very ingenious! And, damn clever. Thanks for the info. I’m going to see about putting something like this together. Good video.
Thank you for watching, and glad you liked it!
Thing is, as I think you suggest, this kit can be kept within your transportation until needed. The nice thing is it is a single grab which, when needed, does clip onto the belt. I like it.
Thank you, my friend!
James Thanks for the Video & Information on the Survival Kit! Awesome Job!
Glad you liked it, my friend. Thank you for watching!
James another informative video. Thank you. Several things to think about from your kit. Thanks for showing how small you got everything.
Best wishes. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you so much, glad you liked the video and found it useful!
Fantastic ideas, will definitely try and sort out a kit similar to this!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Can you send a link to the keyring, cant find it anywhere
awesome idea James...ill be making me one of these this week to keep in the glove box...thanks
Glad you liked it!
Very creative!
Thank you!
I enjoy watching these videos to have a good laugh. I just spent the last few days trying to figure out the best way to slim my keys down to the bare minimum. I have my primary EDC in my pockets and my secondary carry in a pouch in my center console. If I can’t make it with my primary & secondary gear combined then I’m in deep deep trouble. 🫡 To each their own but I can’t imagine walking around with this much hanging from my belt loop
Edit: After watching the entire video I must say, this is a very well put together kit. If it works for you then enjoy!
Thanks so much for watching! It's just another way to carry a fairly complete kit that is unobtrusive and hangs down inside of the pocket.
Ain't no problem giving you a thumbs up on this one, my lord, the only thing your missing is a sleeping bag an a tent, an maybe a MRE or 2. I would say that's a pocket full of goodness there, who would have ever thought of all that on a key ring. The only thing I would add is another sealed container of necessary meds that us older folks have to take daily. I would like to say good job, but that was outstanding, JIC.
.
Good idea about the meds, and thank you so much for watching and for all your kind words!
When you started to show that folding knife, I thought I saw this knife I have, but then my eyes were more focused and it wasn't it. I had this Imperial folding pocket knife since the early 1990's and it's still in great condition.
Thanks for watching!
That is awsome!
Thank you!
Great idea. I would add my little Zippo fuel holder and the Maratac lighter. I like those little pill cases. Need to pick some of those up. Thanks for the ideas.
Those would be great additions to the keychain kit. Thank you for watching!
Good stuff, James! I have a beginning set up but got lost as to what to put into it. Thanks for the ideas!
Thank you for watching, glad you liked it and found it useful!
Great video. So many that you definitely use in any circumstance
Thank you!
Great kit!
Thank you!
That is sweet! Perfect EDC for car travel.
Thank you for watching!
Great job, cool!
Thank you!
Wow that’s quite a kit. Thanks 🇨🇦👍
Thank you so much!
James your channel is different to the plethora of video content out there on this subject. Always innovative and individually presented.Great work.
Thank you so much!
My like list is struggling to stay on top from your channel. Love all of them good job. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and I'm glad you liked it!
James this is a nice little kit. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching!
I like the Survival kit you created.
Thank you for watching and I'm glad you liked it!
Cool Video 👍
Thank U for the Info 👍
No problem 👍
I had put together something similar inspired by a girlfriend's charm bracelet. I took a fairly heavy-duty neck chain and attached several waterproof metal containers and a neck knife. I wore it like a tribal necklace when I was tramping around the woods and otherwise left it in my car.
Very interesting. Sounds like a good idea!
Some very clever ideas 💡 sir. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
Very useful tips
Thank you!
Your Keychain actually looks quite a bit like what I've carried for years, too.
Nice to see that we've had much the same ideas.
I keep a couple of water purification tabs in one of those keychain pill bottle and some charcloth in another; but I also have a few rescue doses of aspirin in the event of someone having a heart attack.
Didn't think about a fishing kit, container, or shelter, though.
Great, thank you for watching!
Great idea James , is small and easy to carry , excellent tip , thanks for sharing , i see you later james , be good
Thank you!
i really like your fishing kit ! that is sweet!
Thanks so much!
Good stuff.. I have a similar setup..
A suggestion, when you are putting things in those tight little pill containers, if you put a piece of fishing line or thin ribbon underneath it, it creates a ‘pull tab’ that hangs like a little tail, so you can easily get out whatever you crammed in the tiny space 👍
Good idea. Thanks for watching.
Good fishing kit idea
Thank you. Glad you liked it!
Nice Keychain kit , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Thank you, my friend!
Excellent ideas. And very nice hands, too., 😊I'm a carabiner freak. I attach everything to everything with them. Now I have an excuse to buy more🙏😂
Thank you for watching, glad you liked the video!
Going to adapt this to a pack good ideas
Thanks for watching!
You have such a refreshing way of speaking. ☑️
Thank you so much!
i think its because he is genuine. its pretty rare these days, and noticable.
@@sabinekatsavrias4422 True, such people are rare.
Woooow excelent
Thank you for watching!
Great content by a great friend!
Thank you so much, brother!
Excellent!!!
👍💗👍💗👍💗👍💗👍
Thank you so much!
omg just found this ...lol! . This looks like my keyring set! ive had it for years and improve on it now and then ! My kit uses a two pronged spring loaded dog lead swivel clip which holds multiple aeroplane brake lines that screw into their own ends to make loops .. each loop holds a few things. On the loops i have a keyring ( lol ) ... bear gryls gerber folding super light folding knife, leatherman squirt ( great for the pliers) a small bic pen cut down and put into a kilometrico pen casing with a hole burnt thru the lid and a ring thru it..pen holds in the lid fine, stainless steel containers ..some witn meds another with lighter fluid, i carry a tiny olight mini usb rechargable torch..i forgot the modle name, a tiny fishing kit i put into a listermint sheet breath strips container with a hole melted at the top and threaded thru a keychain after its closed. this contains dental floss, fishing hooks , micro tweezers and a needle as well as some cotton wool with wax and spare mini lighter wick... since it still had room ..... i have a button fire steel, and peanut zippo style lighter with spare flint in the bottom of it. im currewntly looking for a way to carry my micro lock pick set as well lol but so far have not found anything small long and just wide enough to be happy with it.
ps i forgot my tiny p "something or other" ,, forgot the name, tin opener with rubber band round the blade. oh i also forgot my sharpens best poker chip knife sharpener
Thanks so much! I always enjoy hearing from other people about the kind of kit that they put together.
I do similar with my edc. Gerber dime multi-tool, pill bottle with 80 lbs microfiber fishing line, lighter, Olight i1R EOS. I wrap the lighter and pill bottle with duct tape. All of it is smaller than most people's Keychain, and all of it is used frequently.
Very cool. Thank you for watching!
those mini olight rechargable torches are the bomb!
This is a great idea. One thing I would add is a whistle. I carry one on my pocket knife and this would be a great addition. I like your metal waterproof bottles. I would use one for my medication as a backup.
I carry one on my keychain as well with my regular keys.
Useful entertaining video, ty...
Thank you for watching!
Made one similar to that but used a slightly bigger belt pouch for all of it
Sounds good. Thank you for watching!
A nice addition I have on mine is an emergency whistle. I also have a zippo fuel canister. That thing never leaks fuel.
Good additions, thank you for watching!
Link to whistle please? Preferably amazon? Would really appreciate it.
@@Pithisius here is what I have, although there are others on Amazon. This is currently unavailable on Amazon. I do know Academy sports carries this brand as well.

Going to have to watch it again . I feel sure there was a kitchen sink and I just missed it . 😁 Never seen a magnifying glass like that . Have to track one down . Nice kit . Have a good evening
Thank you so much, glad you liked it and thanks for watching!
That type of magnifying glass is commonly referred to as a jeweler's loupe.
Cute
Thank you!
I use a joggers phone pouch? in the same way. Would like to be able to give a well thought out reason why but I was looking for something to put small bits and pieces in and that was at hand and it worked.
That's a great option for carrying bits of gear. Thank you for watching.
U could get a larger a.l.i.c.e. pouch put all that & more in2 it & again I would change out the cheap poncho 4 a couple of 55 gal drum liners
Yes you could. Thank you for watching!
Micro redundancy, excellent. When my wife is finished with her makeup I take the little mirrors and slip them in small pouches or tins to be used as signaling mirrors or just to look at my ugly mug.
Good idea. Thank you for watching!
Hello from Detroit Michigan brother 👋great video
Thank you!
And it will attach to the Stanley Cook set 🤠
Absolutely! Thank you for watching!
LOL.. that damn cookset..i hunted high and low for one at a decent price online in aus recently ... quite the challenge ...eventually found a place where i got two with free shipping for less than amazone wanted for one.( but was sold out )
Push down on the doodad which releases the thingamajig, the whatzit, the widget, and the deelybopper.
Yes indeedy. It keeps the gillygalloos at bay!
How do you keep the containers from unscrewing from their caps? I had to quit using them after twice finding one had come off and the contents lost or ruined.
I've never had any trouble with them coming unscrewed as they all have o-ring seals on them which tends to keep them tight. Thank you for watching!
"No one knows you have a full survival kit in your pocket."
They certainly know you have something in that bulging pocket 🤣
Well, I'm always carrying so much stuff in my pocket that it's pretty common for both my pockets to be bulged out, lol.
Great edc video. What is the name of the quick eject organizer, any link?
Sorry, I've had that key chain organizer for a long time and so I don't have a link. I believe I bought it at a local store called Meijer.
Looks great! What to you use to strike the fire steel? No whistle?
There are multiple items to strike the fire steel including one on the fire Steel itself. The whistle rides on my keychain.
Genius
Thank you!
Nice survival kit. Link to buy the multi key ring system and the folding magnifying glass please. Thanks.
Thanks. I think you can find them on Amazon. I'll try to look them up if I can remember.
@@WayPointSurvival ok thanks.
That's a great setup. For those who hike, prep, walk, or train in the forests naked, this probably isnt for you. Because naked people tend not to have belts or belt loops. And if one were to get innovative and clip it to the dangly thing, be careful of having the pill capsules slapping you in the berries. Trust me, even on a belt loop a carabiner with a pack of keys, if carefully placed can pack a pain.
In short, never do a wilderness trek in the buff.

Thank you for watching!
OMG I'm not crazy, brother I've got a keychain just like that of little useful items I've gathered up over the years. When it's not clipped to me it's hooked to the handle of my"go" bag.
Indeed. It's a great idea to always have your keychain loaded with useful tools.
Those multi key chain last literally forever my first lasted 32 years of edc
That's excellent. They are made pretty well. Thank you for watching!
& the cut down cooking bag I would trade out 4 freezer zip lock bags
No. The oven bag does everything a zip lock bag does, PLUS, you can hang it next to a fire and safely cook or boil water in it. Can't do that with a zip lock bag.
I prefer the oven bag for several reasons as Bob stated below. However, if you're making your own kit individualize it however you wish to fit your own needs and abilities. This is just the way that I did mine, so thank you for watching!
Cool project! Where did you get the bottle for water purification tablets?
I ordered it online several years ago. Unfortunately, I don't remember the place. It was a company that sold very small glass bottles that sealed well, having a Teflon seal under the cap. Thanks for watching and for your questions!
@@WayPointSurvival Thank you for your videos and swift replies
You're welcome!
That key chain, I think, would drive me crazy hanging any where on me. More power to you. I see it's well thought out. On another note - are you ever going to update me with your thoughts on the milk carton container?
It actually isn't very noticeable ridng in your pocket the way I showed it attached. Also, I haven't had a chance to really try out the milk carton container hack yet but I do want to get around to it, hopefully before long. I've just been busy doing a lot of traveling and teaching survival classes etc this summer.
@@WayPointSurvival Thanks I for the response.
Lol, it's almost like a chatelaine!
Indeed it is. Thanks for watching!
Can you show us diy on fishing kit.
I actually do have several videos on that on my channel.
Alittle Paracord on the that kit would go a long waysm
Yes, that wouldn't be a bad addition. Thank you for watching.
Lot of items in a small package.
Thank you. Much appreciated!
Have you ever feild tested this kit with nothing else like in a 24 hour overnight trip?
How long have you carried it in your pocket?
GOD Bless you and your families
I never did actually use it on an overnighter. I carried it around for a while and actually kept it in the glove compartment of my car. Truthfully, with enough skill it would not be difficult at all to spend 24 hours in the outdoors with a kit like this. Thanks for watching and God bless you too!
Compact he said....
Survival he said......
All you need is rum ham
Thanks for watching.
No cordage. Weave some bank line into a fob for that keychain.
I have Paracord on my boot laces and there is large quantity of 80lb test Spider Wire line in the fishing kit. The fob is also a good idea
Thank you for watching!
👍👍🏿👍
Thanks!
You may have a very sturdy belt. All those items would pull your pants down. Not a good thing in the middle of town 🤣
My belt is very sturdy, good observation. Thank you for watching!
Well, id like to say, better rubberise all that wind chime jingle, in the right situation, it could get you killed
It actually rides pretty quietly in my pocket. Thank you for watching!
Hard to find most of that stuff without being forced to buy online.
Indeed it is. So many of our local stores carry little of value and almost all the old hardware stores have closed up and are gone.
Fella is REALLY excited.
Nobody wants to watch someone who is bored with their own video, lol.
Super glue
Sure, you could add that.
F/rods deteriorate?! What?
They actually will turn to powder eventually. That's why you must keep them from saltwater etc.
The only thing i don't like about the keychain you can only remove them in order
No - you flip the items to left or right until you get to the item you want, then you release the catch.
"compact" 47 keyrings later.
Thank you for watching!
@@WayPointSurvival of course, have a groovy day.
At least 5 lbs. looks like mine except I went with a swiss army knife and no pill bottles more keys but it weights the same. Good stuff.
Thank you. It's not super light but it doesn't feel bad when it's spread out in the pocket and carried attached to a belt loop as I demonstrated.
smaller, lighter way to carry bandaids..... laminated
I'm not sure what you mean by that comment. Thanks for watching.
@@WayPointSurvival you can laminate the bandaids with self adhesive sheets. They stay flat and waterproof until needed. I always keep 2 in my wallet. ps like the chan.
This is exactly the opposite of compact.
Thank you for stopping by anyway!
