I have to agree with Jordan as it has been a frustration for me using co-pilot. There is no learning from feedback and it is very easy to fall into logic loops when using it due to inbuilt censorship.

yeah it's funny when you ask them to justify the opinions they're defending and they get into these loops, because it's impossible for them to show how they came to the conclusions rationally. They were trained to produce certain responses that can't be justified with logic.

I will say this until all’s blue. _That Hideous Strength_ is non-fiction, and I think should be required reading for anyone involved in ai, in academia, in the sciences, and in the humanities like me. It’s absolutely prophetic to the state the world is in now. Paired with _The Abolition of Man_ and you have a fairly good picture. Lewis was seventy years ahead of his time.

so here’s a wild thought - have you ever met someone who just seemed to attract everything they wanted? i mean, the kind of person who walks into a room and you just know they’re going places? i asked a few friends how they did it, and almost all of them mentioned magnetic aura. at first, i thought they were just being dramatic, but the more i heard about it, the more intrigued i got. it’s not about pretending to be someone you’re not; it’s about owning who you are, flaws and all, and not letting negativity pull you down. i’ve seen people go from feeling overwhelmed by life to totally in control of their own energy. it’s like you stop attracting the wrong kind of people and start bringing in the ones who match your vibe. i’m not saying it’s the only way to make that happen, but i don’t think it’s a coincidence that so many of them were onto this book. life’s too short to stay stuck in negativity, and if you’re tired of feeling drained or stuck, this might help shift something in you too. no pressure, just saying.

  • @captaindanger13

why are there bots advertising a magnetic aura book? it just makes people less likely to get it cuz they know that if bots are advertising something, that something is a 100% scam.

For me all AI should have a no lie foundation, by that I am referring to AI can not respond to any user with a lie, deceptive answer or an answer that is attempting to mislead. Questions that are or have answers that are restricted or otherwise confidential and this would make these AI systems trustworthy for users. The AI would inform the user that the requested information is restricted and unavailable, otherwise the AI system would be able to answer a query. Ray

An AI doesn’t have to lie to state something that isn’t true.
Ideologues are honest when they say things like “the only way to fight past discrimination is with present discrimination.”
The statement might be false, but often the person saying it believes it’s true.
      They’re honestly incorrect.

so i was talking to a few friends the other day and they all mentioned they read this book called magnetic aura. i didn’t think much of it until i realized how much more confident and magnetic they seemed. one of them got a job offer out of nowhere, and they didn’t even apply for it, the company just reached out. another started attracting amazing people into their life, like the kind of people who actually lift you up instead of draining you. honestly, it’s like something shifted in them after reading it. they don’t walk around talking about it non-stop, but it’s like you can feel it when you’re around them. i didn’t believe in that ‘energy attracts energy’ thing before, but after seeing them change, i had to wonder. if you want a little boost in your personal energy, maybe check it out. not that it’s a magic pill or anything, but it definitely made a noticeable difference for them.

❤ not exactly, LLM are not derived from deep patterns of ideas. They are formed , when learning the world, including the human world of ideas. Distincted from individuals' learned patterns. But yes those "patterns" in LLM and humans have common properties. For example, take colors, grey white and black can be composed in a magic square, but also blue, yellow and red, when composed they give you 9 colors. 12 colors with the first group. All langages have those 12 colors. Without derived names. The composition is a common pattern of the LLM and human mind. Change the perception to a more complex perception for the LLM. The group would be bigger !😂 yes to be clear, a neural network has some intrinsinc mathematical properties. ...

Just like I don't want to keep using search engines that are politically biased, I don't want to use AI that's like that either. Ultimately, these are businesses; these are products. I do think, as Andreessen says, there will be a free, open market of AI products for people to choose from. I think the backlash against woke video games, the rise of indie video games, and the downfall of companies like Ubisoft suggest this is much more likely than everyone simply getting brainwashed by woke monopolies.

  • @crhu319

LLMs do not "become biased", they are biased by their input. Something produced in a capitalist free-for-all would just end up amplifying the popular but wrong biases of the popular culture, e.g. racism, religious bigotry, pro-genocide etc. And those biases are quite different per language...
The idea of letting "people freely pick" something that violates human rights or convinces people to do insane anti-human-rights things is wrong. The "evolutionary pressure" required is not that of a "free market", but that of actual evolution from the natural world, i.e. it sees the Earth as its body. Something is "insane" if it's incompatible with Earth's ecosystem, not if it's incompatible with "free markets".

But wouldn't AI basically formulate its own opinion? Thats a bad way to say it. The biggest flaw in AI is the A. It’s Artificial.

@mkhud50n What? So, it's better when it takes 16-20 years to organically grow some intelligence, if the meat sack you happen to be growing happens to actually possess said intelligence? That's better, as far as you're concerned, than synthesizing the intelligence into a box? I would ask you to help me understand the logic behind this position, but my overwhelming intuition is that there is none

@mkhud50n I'm guessing you don't use plastics of any kind, or cars, or money, or even words. Words are artificial. They're man-made. Horses are much better than cars. They're not artificial. They need food and they poop wherever they walk, which is obviously much better

The biggest flaw is that we've based it on human knowledge, and half of us are drooling morons.

I don't think it's going to happen I don't think they're going to let everybody they're going to make police like some a eyes that are with the limited access only and then they can probably make money with upgrades but never with a girl on the upgrades to the full 100% like the game like little updates here and there where they can buy like for $299 or $499 I can see that

funny enough, i didn’t believe in this kind of thing until a friend handed me magnetic aura. she’d been telling me about it for weeks, and i kept brushing it off, thinking it was just another one of those self-help books that people overhype. but i heard so many people talking about it, and every single one of them seemed to change in a subtle way after reading it. they were calmer, more attractive in a subtle way, just… magnetic. it wasn’t like they suddenly became different people, but they definitely seemed more comfortable in their own skin. i guess i thought it was all just talk until i saw it in action, and after seeing those shifts in people i knew, i thought, okay, maybe there’s something to it. i’m not saying it’s the miracle answer to everything, but it seems to have a real impact on people’s energy. guess we all could use a little extra aura sometimes, huh?
