"AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!"
gotta love it LOL
Literally had me choking on my own guffaws
Lost my shit dude
I don't know how many times I've seen this now and "Motion in the ocean...AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH" still makes me bust out laughing
me too
THE CONSECUTIVE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH IS JUST GOLD
I watch whenever I need a good laugh! 😂
I'm about 2 minutes past that in the song as of typing and I'm still laughing at it
Screaming goat vibes, nearly peed.
"Raining blood bleeding it's horror, everybody's having fun!" That weirdly sounds like it fits in the metal scene pretty well.
I can't stop thinking about the potential lyrical progression of "Trapped in Purgatory!" "Everyone had matching towels"
Lol..good one... bloody brilliant isn't it
It works the other way as well. "We were at the beach, a lifeless object alive".
"Motion in the ocean"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH"
A great take on "Hell is repetition" lol
LMFAO
Once you hear "it's raining blood from the Lobster in the sky" you can't unhear it.
came for this comment. I thought I was the only one...
yes! definitely can't unhear it
I had trouble remembering what it really was. From the 'lacerated' sky, I think..
I had to look up the real lyrics because I kept hearing Lobster in the sky. How the hell did that happen?
I saw your comment before the video got to your quote, and no, he clearly says "from a lacerated sky".
Rock Lobster was actually one of Jeff Hanneman's favourite songs. Rip Jeff.
That was nice ,,
Everyone loves Rock Lobster don't they
You serious😱? Thats freaking awesome
You are also Awesome for knowing that!
the thing i love the most about Bill McClintock's mashups is the fact that he doesn't just layer isolated vocals over an instrumental. he takes time to take bits and pieces from different songs and put them together. like, while most of the instrumental was Rock Lobster, he still put in the guitar wails and percussion from Raining Blood. that takes time and effort, and i appreciate that. well done .👏👏👏👏
The audio is impressive enough, but then he puts together a perfectly edited video, too
@@dennish5513 Yeah, I never thought of that either. He really puts in effort in his videos.
Hell Yeah! Fkin Awesome!
Well put!!
he sometimes manages to construct entirely new songs out of bits and pieces.

"Raining blood from a lacerated sky, everybody's having fun
Raining blood, bleeding its horror, everybody's having fun"...
_THE_ lyrics of the century! :-D
A close second is "Motion in the Ocean. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Seems to sum up the experience of living through a once-in-a-century pandemic, all of us sheltering in place with our streaming services and appliances.
Its actually "RAINING BLOOOOOD! From a Lobster in the sky!..." lol
I laughed so hard at that part that I cried. Truly brilliant.
Burst out laughing here
"Motion in the ocean..."
*AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH*
2:53 - "Raining blood! From a lacerated sky..." "Everybody's having FUN!" ---- I just died laughing
No you didnt, you lived and wrote a comment you lying lobster
I heard it as "Reign in blood from the lobster in the sky" - and I pissed myself laughing.

That's a good description of a GWAR concert
Yep, that section had me in tears and pretty close to a hernia, I was laughing so hard. Absolutely brilliant

did you know Waffle House used to be a non PVP zone?
Agreed
Two great bands, two great songs. An unholy union that starts out fantastic and only gets better. Around the 2:08 mark where the chaos seems to strain at the seams, somehow Bill McClintock holds it together and sticks the landing. 2:22 where both songs guitar fills overlap as if they were written to go together is absolute perfection!
Rest in peace, Ricky Wilson and Jeff Hanneman.
I've always misheard the line as "Raining blood from a lobster in the sky". Thanks Bill, my life is now complete.

What I love about this one is that Rock Lobster by the B-52s already made use of very different vocal styles, so Araya's vocals actually don't clash at all; it actually works. And the slower guitar picking and high piercing backing vocal from Rock Lobster adds additional foreboding to Raining Blood. As different as these songs are, there is no dissonance.
Thrashing around in the surf.
It's funny until 2:11
After that it's just a musical masterpiece.

This is the music playing while you wait in the lobby of Hell.
Hell would have Bon Scott, Isaac Newton, Anton LeVay, Lemmy and Dr. Stephen Hawking to talk to, among many, many others. Heaven would be nothing but the most ardent Jesus Freaks on their knees singing hymns to their god all day, every day, forever.
"What if there is no God would you think the f*ckin' same
Wasting your life in a leap of blind faith" - Slayer, Disciple, 2001.

I had to jump through over 600 parallel universes until I found one with raining lobsters.
Honestly this just proves god's existence to me. Anything is possible through Jesus.
Seriously though it's a good thing Slayer retired, between the Bangles t-shirts and people throwing lobsters at the stage they aren't going to know what the hell's going on.
Retired? Bah ... they should just "rebrand" and start touring with the mashups ...

I've been listening to music since I was a kid. In my teens in the 70's I saw every major band that played in New England, often travelling down to the NYC, Jersey and Philly to take in shows. From that time I learned to play guitar, I've read pretty much every book on music from the 60's and 70's I could get my hands on and I have spent many, many hours playing with audio files on my computer and I STILL HAVE NO IDEA how Bill McClintock does this. I hear music in my head often... and often when it should be concentrating on matters of work or family. I love all types of music and I listen and I listen and I STILL HAVE NO IDEA how Bill McClintock does this. I envy the man's ear that he can hear seemingly two totally different songs and say "yeah, I can do something with them". Genuis!
"Lacerated Sky! Everybody's having FUN!"
Fucking beautiful!
When Fred Schneider says "everybody's having FUN," consider it a threat.
YES 🤣
Don't threaten me with a good time!
That lyric doesn't actually appear in the original B-52's song. McClintock grafted together two different parts of Fred's vocal to get that.
He looked like John Holmes with that ‘stache though. That IS a threat!

On first re-watch i realize I imagined the lyrics
"Raining blood! From a lacerated skyyyyy!"
"Everybody had matching towels!"
I love how heavy "Rock Lobster" actually is that at a point sounds even heavier and darker than "Raining Blood".
Fuck, I feel more threatened by "Everybody's having FUN" than "RAINING BLOOD!".
It's like the phrase "You will own nothing and you'll be happy". While owning nothing is bad, that just life. The being happy part is a dystopian hellish government forcing you to smile and applaud them.
man the ending of rock lobster was always one of the hardest rock breakdowns ever
Ricky could lay down a serious track. Some of the early stuff was just sick. When that song came out in 78 it was just f_in crazy. Rock Lobster was the definition of new wave.
This song is catchy, retro, metal, weird and satisfying all in one.

Two of the best American bands of all time. Full innovators and leaders in their own right. neither band would be bummed on this. RIP Ricky Wilson and Jeff Hanneman. Both of their guitar work left a forever mark on the musical landscape.
I believe this is his best work.
Jeff Hanneman said the B-52's were something he listened to a lot at the beach with his family
I can't trust anyone who doesn't like the B-52's.
@Rancho El Bush yea, play any thrash metal songs without distortion and it all sounds like surf rock haha
I have a photo from 1995, where I am wearing a Slayer T-shirt at my dad's boat where they only played B-52's. This video kind of puts it all together.

I have to say: This is the single best version of Raining Blood and of Rock Lobster.
This mix is a technical marvel.
It took two songs that are litterally at the polar opposite and mixed them to do one excellent result.
