I have never done fasting although i grew up in a Christian environment. But, our Church never preached on Fasting. I am very unsure about my first fast and this teaching has helped to bring the uncertainty down to groundlevel. God bless to all of you.

I fast. I am also VEGAN. I went to a Mormon church for a few years. They Fast and refrain from eating meat.

I have enjoyed many of your teachings but many t imes you makes me feel so discouraged and despibdent because of what you do and say is way beyond perfect. You pray and fast and how you can do this for hours is unbelievable. What an earth do you pray about all the those hours?
Now before you condem me further I was raised in a fairly strict Christian home and I am totally blessed beyond measure. I am born again been baptised by immersion but not in the Holg Spirit In the terms ad the Pentecostals. I just do not understand why one must talk in a foreign language that you don't know what you are saying.
Anyway, that is besides the point but having been a Christian for over 70 yrs you still make me feel utterly useless because I can't fast and pray for 24 hrs like you do and it makes me feel that my walk with the Lord has been pretty pathetic.
However. He has nlessed me beyond all that I could have ever asked or wanted. He has never left me or forsaken me from the day I was conceived and my prayers would never have lasted 10 minutes.

You have a unique relationship with God. Each one has their own walk with the Lord. Do not let the enemy diminish your relationship or make you feel less that what you are in Christ . I'm sure you have your own gifts which you have used over the years🙏🏻🌹 Be blessed.
There is nothing like feeling lost in the Christian walk the lord brought u too listen to this not by chance , I grew up in syd went to the local Baptist church: fast fowrad 30 yrs I'm now in Africa working & got born again in a Pentecostal church: it's very different to what I grew up with : I never understood 1/2 of what I do now : & I'm now dealing with muslims & Hinduism here & one thing I do is not to judge but let the Holy spirit guide me to help others : I'm a faster & i need my flesh to be still & quiet so my walk is a godly one : baptism in the holy spirit allows u to pray thro yr spirit & ensures the prayers are the right ones : I still hav points that I pray : but I pray alot in tongues : its not a mind thing it's a spiritual thing yr doing & paul spoke alot abt it : my advice is to lay down yr thoughts abt it & ask the lord to show u : I went from not understanding it never taught it to now being a faster by his grace : it broke off me those 30yrs of bondage that I collected along lifes Broadway rd : if u ask him he will show u & if u step out to do it he will engrace you : my life is a testimony to the power of God in my life & prayer & fasting is my life style to keep me on that track : dont look at it as too bigger mountain to get thro : with God all things are possible: be encouraged my friend God always has more he wants to show u : on yr pathway to heaven : Pst brad.
The gift of tongues (languages) from Acts chapter 2, which the disciples received on the day of Pentacost, was not an unknown language. It was a language of the Holy Spirit that was understood by everyone who heard it, in their own native tongue. The sound of the Holy Spirit is referred to in other places in scripture as the sound of a multitude or of many waters, but it is never unknown to the hearer. As the body has many parts, so the church has many parts. Some are more glorious than others, but all are necessary. Please don't compare your service to Christ to that of others. Continue in His word and let your conscience be your guide.
Listen to this preaching again. Tiff is not being judgemental..he is very clear that fasting is not for everyone and it will not hinder your relation with God if you don't fast. We as believers should not listen to the word with guilty ears..remember your sins are forgiven. But, we can listen attentively to what is given us through a servant of God.
24 hour fast is not difficult. If you start your fast as 5°Clock in the afternoon you will be asleep for eight hours of the fast. Your willpower and God's grace will take you through the day. Be positive and not negative. I started yesterday at 4°Clock (this is my first fast for the right reason) and will end at 4 this afternoon. I have done intermittend fasting from 4 afternoon untill 8 next morning for months now. It is true..my weight dropped and I feel so much better and healthier. So, I just have to deal with not eating the rest of today untill 4 afternoon. Be positive.
