Seeing this video 7yrs after, during my fasting 4th May 2024. Praying for breakthrough, got an opportunity to study abroad for masters. In need of 13,000 dollars for the whole process. I believe God brought me here to listen to this because he's going to give this breakthrough.

My husband told me that he wanted a divorce on July 26, 2022. My husband has been my world for the past 13 years, i can't imagine life without him. I have switched my prayers from wondering why this is happening to asking God what he wants me to learn from this. I found this message 4 years later and started my 34 days of fasting and prayer, today Oct 7th 2021. I believe God will bring a breakthrough in my life soon. Thank you Lord for bringing me to this message and keeping me on this fast. Thank you Lord.
Update: My breakthrough came after finishing my fast for 34 days. My fast ended on Nov 9th 2021 and two weeks later I started to get correspondence from the organization I was waiting on. On Nov 24th I got the first response after waiting since May 2021 to hear back. On Dec 2nd I got another letter from them and on Dec 15th, the process was completed. God can do anything. Trust God and Pray. Prayer works even if it's hard and u don't see an answer immediately. God hears. I can't thank God enough for answering my prayer.

I’m starting a 4 day water fast until Sunday and begging and hoping that God completely destroys my pornography addiction. Today I want to continue praising God 3months ago I was looking for fasting teachings then the Lord directed me to this sermon by then I started my 40 days of prayer and fasting I declared victory over my situations today am giving a huge testimony God opened the way for me in October I got a chance and joined the construction industry as a Site Engineer being a fresh graduate and my first project to be in charge is costing over 30million kwacha to me this very huge am praising God for opening doors for me and this year i will be in charge of huge and big projects.... Praise the Lord !!!!!!

1. You should fast
2.(don't fast to impress people but to honor God) don't be pretentious, hypocritical/ don't make a public show
3. Fasting should be done as unto God, Center all our endeavours on God, not on men. (you are honouring God, that outside of food we can still live)
4. God openly rewards those who truly fast. (God will do something in your life the world will see, fasting is secret and Gods reward is open)

If you haven't fasted before:
. It's important to fast slowly if it's difficult. Mix 1 regular meal so like don't eat lunch and take a light breakfast don't take lunch and eat a light supper.
. 2nd-week don't eat lunch breakfast but eat supper (light supper)
. 3rd week your body is getting used to, so don't eat regular breakfast lunch and supper. Just (mostly)drink water
. 4th week just drink water, water, water for seven days ;)
. TRy not to eat things with flour like bread, cake.. and sugary drinks like coke.. or salty foods,
extra beneficial and Motivational info:
. Fasting is not for losing weight, exercising and eating right is how you do it. you fast for God not for losing weight.
. When you fast you won't die, You will survive. Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights, you will not die
. Fasting is a spiritual cleanser and strengthener, and nutritionist in fact even state it's not bad and actually has some health benefits
. Don't let your mind and appetite leer you, everytime your tempted to eat, pray! and remember this time is for God not food, you will eat later.
. We fast so we can hear Gods word, direction for us. We also fast for a closer relationship with God.
. We fast so we can leave a seed in prayer so we can pray.
. We fast to show God we don't only need food to live, but Gods word
. When we fast we fast so we can intercede in prayer and change situations, God hears our prayer, sees our heart and intensity of desire, and does miracles in our lives
. WE fast as an act of repentance, to show how sorry we are for our sins.
. Fasting doesn't make God forgive you faster but it shows your heart, you cant say I'm sorry and be laughing.
. The bible says when we fast we show God by our deeds what are heart condition is, so we need to come in repentance for forgiveness
. We fast for spiritual empowerment
. If the son of God (Jesus) fasted for spiritual power for his ministry, how much less you and i. we engage in spiritual welfare, therefore, we have to be intense in spiritual welfare.
. we fast as worship to God, worship God through fasting and prayer!
. You will not die, you will live! Do it for God!

Pastor I heard this message in 2019 December ,I was in lot of pain mentally at that time. I wanted a breakthrough. I did fast and prayed and sought the lord with all my heart. @@mdte5421 no one's judging you, but the Bible says, do no be unequally yoked with unbelievers. An atheist isn't a believer of God, and you know this. The Bible also said, the truth shall set you free. Again no one's Judging you, if you know the truth and do the opposite, it's a sin. God doesn't hear the prayers of sinners. The only prayers of a sinner God hears is the prayers of repentance of a sinner. You can't decieve yourself, and you certainly can't decieve God.

Biblical fasting doesn't necessarily have anything to do with food or not eating.It's just leaving off things that you might otherwise do and devoting that time in concentrated prayer instead....could be not watching TV, not visiting with friends on your phone or in person, not watching videos on youtube, etc. If you want to skip a meal in the process, that's fine but it's not necessary.

@@NC-hv3mt Yeah while you CAN fast from electronics, social media, etc….there is no greater fast than presenting to Our Father our bodies as a living sacrifice. We can’t live without food. We can live without a cellphone….(UNLESS He specifically told us to fast from social or whatever). We came out the womb and within less than an hour the instinct to root around for the breasts to FEED ourselves kicks in. So when we actually fast from something that we can’t live without, I believe it’s a greater sacrifice. The Bible’s ONLY messages about fasting were regarding fasting from food. Jesus didn’t go up to the mountain and fast for 40-days from “writing letters”, it was from food. Esther didn’t fast from getting her hair done lol. And Daniel didn’t fast from dancing lol. God gave us the example of what HE considers an acceptable fast….and we always tweak things according to what we’d prefer to do.
I've discovered that fasting should be a habit of our lifestyles, not something that we do every great once and awhile in our lives. Before we make any major decisions in our lives, fasting and praying should take place first to make sure that we're in tune with God's will.

Thank you so much for this. I did fast for a breakthrough (my first time) last week. and prayed so hard and often. This week I was offered a great job that gets me out of retaiI /customer service. I start in 2 days.. I've been job searching for 6 months. I've had 6 crappy minimum wage jobs this year. Really struggling for a foot into somewhere else. This job offer is what I really needed. It gives me experience and pays $3 more. And I'm not experienced for it. She said she had 150+ applications and I'm 1 out of 4 that she interviewed, then they picked me. Yet here it is! This happened a few days after I prayed for a breakthrough. I'm s new Christian so...I'm still pretty doubtful and discouraged a lot of times. I'm scared this will be taken away from me..because I've worked do hard to find a good job..I almost feel like im not worthy of it. I'm scared.. Last year was the worst year of my life and I just turned 57 my faith in our King has become stronger during this period my separated wife has fled the state of Texas with my 6-year-old daughter which I have not seen since November I've had to do things to the court system that I do not wish to do to her as a habeas corpus for child as she is trying to alienate me as a. My daughter and I are like glue and I don't know what to do other than when I'm told to do by our King! And of course the judicial system of Travis county which is a complete mess! fasting is a major! key to breakingthrough; it has been called one of the secrets to a successfully Christian life. A fast of 1-3 (or more) days is fantastic, never fasting water, the body will break down after 3 days without water; Jesus said that we WOULD fast when he left, and if we want to be Godly, we will. Every aspect of my life is a mess. Honestly. I think about death constantly. I’m a skeptical person. Believing in God seems pretty difficult to me. However, I really want God to be real. I’ve never had any kind of experience with God (that I’m a aware of) but my wish for Him to be real is strong, I even got baptized. Hopefully God can give the peace I need. I started a fast several days ago. I have search the internet for specific directions on how to fast. I found a lot on fasting but not a step by step plan. But, by God’s grace, I found this message! What a blessing! I expect breakthrough because the Bible says that God is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. I join the force of prayer with all of you who are praying for a breakthrough.
